The ceremonial battle between Atem and Yugi has almost reached the end. As long as Yugi can't defeat the last servant of Atem - Black Magician, he can't deserve the victory. Atem has Black Magician and a reversed card on his field while Yugi has only Curse of Dragon.

Turn comes to Yugi. Drawing a card, he sets up a reversed monster in a defense position. He considering the attack points of Black Magician carefully. Obtaining power from Magic Book, Black Magician obtains 2800 attack points in total. Yugi has no strong monster that can beat it now. Thus, he changes Curse of Dragon into a defense position, ending his turn. Honda notices that Yugi can do nothing else but defend himself, yet Jyonouchi thinks that the reversed defending monster is likely to cause Atem in trouble later. On the other side, Atem is also predicting what kind of the reversed monster card that Yugi faced down. Previously, Yugi picked up Marsh Melon from his deck onto his hand by the effect of Witch of the Black Forest; therefore, there is no doubt for Atem that the faced-down card must be Marsh Melon. Besides, if Marsh Melon is attacked while facing down, it can deal 1000 damage directly to the attacker. Marsh Melon can't also be destroyed in the normal battle. Atem remains only 900 LP. If he attacks Marsh Melon, he will be defeated by the direct 1000 damage points. Anyway, this kind of Yugi's strategy doesn't affect Atem at all. He has already predicted everything.

Come to Atem's time. He draws a card, playing a magic card Thousand Knives. This card can be played with Black Magician facing up on the field. It allows Black Magician to destroy one of the opponent monsters. At this moment, Malik notices Pharaoh playing very quick with good drawn cards. Isis thinks that Pharaoh is probably now a god of battle (Tatakai No Kami). After that, by the effect of Thousand Knives, it destroy the reversed monster card of Yugi, which is exactly Marsh Melon as Atem has expected before. When Marsh Melon is destroyed by the effect of any magic card, it can't deal 1000 damage to the opponent. Thus, Atem's LP is safe. Continuously, Atem declares the attack of Black Magician against defending Curse of Dragon. Yugi has nothing left on his field now. Honda is very worried because the situation isn't what Jyonouchi said before. Sugoroku also tries to cheer Yugi up. Seeing the situation is turning, Kaiba sees how powerful Black Magician is. Even Yugi is amazed by strong power of Black Magician, thinking whether there is some way to break the bond between Atem and Black Magician.

Time returns to Yugi. Drawing a card, he summons Blockman (4/1000/1500) in a defense position. He sets up another reversed card and ends his time quickly. Move is back to Atem. He draws a card and plays an equipment magic card Black Spear. This card is attacked to Black Magician. By its effect, when the equipped monster attacks a monster in defense mode with a defense strength lower than the equipped monsters attack strength, do battle damage equal to the difference directly to the opponent. In other words, the difference 1300 (2800-1500) between Black Magician's attack point (2800) and Blockman's defense points (1500) will deal directly to Yugi's LP. Yugi has only 800 LP left, so he may be defeated by this attack. Then Atem declares the attack of Black Magician with Black Spear toward Blockman. Yugi suddenly opens his trap card Soul Shield. This card can be activated only if the opponent attacks. Paying a half of LP, Yugi can end Atem's battle phase immediately. As a result, Atem has no choice but ends his time at once while Yugi's LP goes down to 400 (800/2). People are now very excited by Yugi's move. Yugi has merely 400 LP left while Atem remains 900 LP.

Golden Chest of Sealing Spell Card

Come to Yugi's move. While Yugi is drawing his card, Atem can feel something coming. Yugi is planning to bet by this magic card Golden Chest of Sealing (Fuuin No Ougonhitsu). The a golden box like a millennium puzzle box appears onto the field. Playing this card, Yugi has to seal a card from his deck or hand inside the box in the face-down position. The sealed card can't be played by both players. Everybody is wondering what kind of card Yugi selects to seal. For Yugi, the millennium puzzle is like a friendship box binding him and Atem together. After that, Yugi activates special effect of Blockman. By its effect, it can divide itself equal to the number of passing time after it was summoned. This is the second turn after Blockman was summoned, so Blockman divides itself into two pieces. Sacrificing the two Blockmen, Yugi summons Destructive Dragon Gondola (8/?/?). Yugi intends to destroy Black Magician by this card. When Destructive Dragon Gondola is summoned by sacrification, Yugi has to pay a half of his LP. Thus, his LP goes down to 200 (400/2). Destructive Dragon Gondola can destroy all monsters on the field and then remove them from the game, but it will be sent into the gaveyard thereafter. Jyonouchi and Anzu remember that Yugi previously used Destructive Dragon Gondola defeat Yami Bakura in the memory world. Yugi declares the attack of Destructive Dragon Gondola, Destroy Giga Les, at once. At this moment, Atem opens his trap card Black Illusion. This card can be activated onif if Black Magician remains on the field. It allows Atem to negate that attacking effect and destroy one monster of Yugi. Destructive Dragon Gondola is destroyed while Atem is totally safe. However, Yugi is later allowed to draws a card. Yugi's plan to destroy Black Magician by Destructive Dragon Gondola was fail. Drawing a card following the effect of Black Illusion, he sets up two reversed cards and ends his turn. People are worried again because Yugi has no monster left on his field. Malik thinks that even the vessel (Yugi) can't defeat Pharaoh. Anyway, Atem sees that Yugi's eyes haven't surrender yet.

Turn is back to Atem. Drawing a card, he lets Black Magician attack Yugi directly. At this moment, Yugi opens his trap card Magician's Circle. This card can be activated only the opponent attacks. It allows both players to summon specially one spellcaster-type monster from their decks onto the field. Atem sees that Yugi has predicted to play this combo with his Black Magician. Yugi selects Silent Magician Level 0 (4/1000/1000) from his deck. On the other side, Atem selects Black Magician Girl (6/2000/1700) onto the field. Atem continues the attack of Black Magician (2800) against Silent Magician (1000). People are wondering whether Yugi is going to end up here.

Magic Textbook Spell Card

Yugi hasn't given up yet. No matter what, he has to win this game. Yugi suddenly opens a magic card Magic Textbook (Mahou No Kyoka Sho). Paying this card, Yugi has to discard all of his cards on hand into the cemetery. Because he has no card left on his hand, he can skip this condition. Then the effect allows him to draw another card. If it is a magic card, Yugi can activate it at once; however, if it isn't, it must be sent into the cemetery. This is the final chance for Yugi betting everything in this last draw, the draw that will determine their destiny. Drawing a card, Yugi gets a magic card Treasure of Heaven (Ten Yuri No Housatsu). Thus, he can play it at once. By its effect, it allows both players to draw cards until they obtain 6 cards on hand. Continuously, Yugi activates special effect of Silent Maigician. Its attack points and level can increase by 500 points per one level for each draw of the opponent. Atem drew 5 cards, so Silent Magician's attack points go up to level 5 with 3500 (1000+500*5) attack points. Now, Silent Magician (3500) obtains greater attack points than Black Magician (2800). Atem remains only 700 LP. The difference damage 700(3500-2800) will decrease his LP to 0. This battle phase is still going on, so Atem can't stop the attack of the Black Magician. At his moment, Atem plays a magic card Magician Cross from his hand. This card can be activated only if Atem has 2 spellcaster-type monsters (Black Magician and Black Magician Girl) face-up on the field. Those two monsters are counted as one monster with 3000 attack points. Therefore, Black Magician and Black Magician Girl attack together with 3000 attack points against Silent Magician (3500). Both of them are destroyed, so Atem's LP goes down to 200 (700+3000-3500). Atem is impressed by Yugi's play; Yugi could finally defeat his Black Magicians. Both of them remain 200 LP equally now. The conclusion of this battle comes very closer. Atem claims that the effect of Treasure of Heaven brings him his trump. Then he plays a magic card Monster Reborn (Shisha Sosei) from his hand, resurrecting the Sky Dragon of Osiris from his graveyard. There are 4 cards on Atem's hand, so Osiris's attack points become 4000 (1000*4). Anyway, this is what Yugi has predicted before. If he were Atem, he would play the same technique; play monster reborn to summon god. Yugi then opens the sealed card inside his Golden Chest of Sealing box. It is his magic card Monster Reborn. This means both players can't play Monster Reborn and must remove it from the game according to the effect of Golden Chest of Sealing. As a result, the summon of Osiris is invalid and Osiris starts disappearing. At this moment, Atem accepts his coming destiny because Yugi could finally read his final move. People hardly believe that Yugi selected to seal his important and effective card - Monster Reborn. Isis thinks that this is the final message from Yugi to Pharaoh. Yugi would like to tell Pharaoh that the dead soul shouldn't be resurrected onto the world. Also, Yugi is now ready to separate from Pharaoh and to return Pharaoh's spirit to the world of death. Atem has no monster left on his field. If Yugi attacks, he will win. However, Yugi is trembling and hesitating to attack. He with tear declares the attack of Silent Magician (3500) directly against Atem (200). Therefore, Atem's LP goes down to 0 and he is finally defeated.

[ Mokuba ]	Osiris is disappearing!
[ Jyonouchi ]	Monster Reborn is, in fact, such a profitable card of Yugi.
[ Honda ]	But he decided to seal it.
[ Isis ]	(This is an important messsage from Yugi to another Yugi that the soul of the dead man shouldn't remain in the world. It is also the trump of Yugi to let Pharaoh know that he is ready to separate from the spirit of Pharaoh that is returning to the world of death.)
[ Atem ]	(Partner could read my last trump. He has already exceeded me.)
[ Otogi ]	Atem has no wall monster left.
[ Silent Magician ]	If Silent Magician attacks him directly, the game will be ended.
[ Anzu ]	Yugi
[ Atem ]	(Well, come on, partner!)
[ Yugi ]	Silent Magician, attack player directly!

Yugi falls down on his knees and starts crying. Atem walks closer to him to accept his defeat, telling Yugi to stop crying. The winner shouldn't do this. Yugi claims that he cries because he is weak and Atem is always his target. Atem expresses his feeling to Yugi that Yugi has, in fact, obtained such strength that has never been defeated by anybody. It is called strength of kindness. Even Atem learned his strenght from Yugi. Atem holds Yugi up, reminding Yugi of real appearance of Mutou Yugi. There is only one Yugi existing in this world. Atem is no longer another Yugi or Yami Yugi for him. Suddenly, the wedjet eye on the gate starts shining. Isis says that the wedjet eye has already finished the condition of the ceremonial battle. It is now ready to return Pharaoh's spirit to the world of death. She tells Pharaoh to express his real name in front of the wedjet eye. Walking in front of the door, Atem expresses his name. Then the wedject door is opened and Atem starts walking inside the light coming out from the gate. At this moment, Honda, Anzu and Jyonouchi call Atem to stop. Honda asks Atem stay while Anzu claims that she doesn't understand Atem at all. Everybody has been together for a long time but now Atem has decided to leave. Although she understands that there is the place behind the light where Atem should return, she doesn't understandy why Atem selected this choice. While all people are crying, Jyonouchi says that people had better not to understand. If they don't understand, they don't forget Atem, either. Jyonouchi would like to send Atem to his world for his future. It doesn't matter whether he is Pharaoh or Atem because he is Yugi, a friend forever. Hearing their friends'words, Atem turns back to say good bye. Then he walks into the light while his appearance transforms into Pharaoh. Behind the gate, ancient people - the priests and his friend - have been waiting for him. When Atem goes inside and disappears, the wedjet eye closes the gate. Anzu is trying to follow but Jyonouchi stops her. Suddenly, the ground starts shaking and everything is going to collapse. The stone tablet of Hades and the seven millennium items are breaking down under the ground while all people are leaving the place. There is a spirit of Shadi appearing in the ruin. All people have finally come up to the ground. Because the mission of the millennium items to return Pharaoh's spirit to the world of death has been fullfilled, the millennium items are no longer necessary. Everybody is looking up to the bright sky; everything has already been complete into the light.

Yugi and his friends are returning to Japan while Kaiba and Mokuba are returning to their corporation by Blue Eyes Jet. When they reach Japan, Rebecca and Professor Hopskins have been ready to welcome them there. Also, Shizuka is there to see his brother. Haga and Ryusaki are dueling against each other as usual in the city. On the other side, Siegfried and Leonhard are discussing some project with Pegasus who seems to agree with them. Kajiki is returing from the sea, seeing Esper Roba ready to duel against him. In China, Mai and Vivian are also dueling against Paradox brothers. Every duelist is carrying on his or her life as usual. Finally, Yugi starts his ordinary morning and life. He leaves home and sees his friends normally. His own legend into the light has just started...

[ Atem ]	I have already been defeated, partner. Get up! You won, but why are you crying? If I were you, I wouldn't show my tear.
[ Yugi ]	Because I am weak. For me, you are my target that I would like to reach. I always think that I would like to become strong like you.
[ Atem ]	You are not weak. You are also holding some strength that has never been defeated by anybody, aren't you? That is the strength of kindness. I also learned that from you, partner! Your courage to accept this ceremonial battle guides me to where I should go on.
[ Yugi ]	Another I
[ Atem ]	I am no longer "another I". You are also nobody else. Your real appearance is Mutou Yugi, only one in this world.
[ Honda ]	What is that?
[ Jyonouchi ]	The eye at the gate...
[ Isis ]	The wedjet eye taking care of the gate to the world of death has already finished checking the truth from the ceremonial battle of Pharaoh spirit. Now, it is time to open the gate and return the spirit of Pharaoh that has existed in this world for more than 3,000 years. Spirit of Pharaoh! Express your name to the wedjet eye!

[ Jyonouchi, Anzu, Honda ]	Yugi!
[ Anzu ]	Wait! Yugi
[ Honda ]	Are you reallying going to leave? In fact, you don't have to go, do you!? Please don't leave!
[ Anzu ]	Another Yugi....Atem...I understand that there is the place where you should return behind that light. But that light means separation between you and us. I don't understand this at all. You have been with us all the time. Now, you are going to leave. I haven't understood the meaning of your choice.
[ Jyonouchi ]	Anzu, it is good that you don't understand. That we don't understand can make us remember it. So, it makes us not forget his story and feeling that we have been together. So, let's send him to his world...to his future!

[ Jyonouchi ]	Yugi! It doesn't matter whether you are Pharaoh or Atem. You are Yugi. We are always friends no matter how much time has passed.
