[ Epsiode 222 ] Beat the Three Egyptian Gods

Atem successfully summons the three Egyptian gods - Osiris (2000), Obelisk (2500) and Ra (5000) - onto the field. Yugi (1400 LP) can feel how seriously Atem is playing against himself. Everybody is also amazed by the three gods summoned together on the field. Then Atem plays a magic card, Pot of Greed (Kou Yoku Na Tsubo), from his hand. As a result, he can draw additional two cards and Osiris's attack points go up to 3000 (Atem first has two cards on his hand. When he plays one card for Pot of Greed and then draws other two, he obtains 3 cards in his hand in total. Thus, Osiris gains 3000 attack points following his cards on hand).

People are all surprised because they have never seen the three gods standing togehter on the field before. Power of Atem seems to exceed what people have imagined. This is his real power. Jyonouchi thinks that although Yugi could reduce the attack power of Obelisk, it still contains high attack points of 2500. Also, by special effect of Osiris, it can take 2000 damage to the opponent's monster once it is summoned onto the field. Lastly, by special effect of Ra, it can absorb Atem's LP (3999 - 1 LP left) and attack points of total mosnters on the field into itself. That means after absorbing, Ra will gain total attack points of 14,499 (3999LP + 3000 [Osiris] + 2500 [Obelisk] + 5000 [Ra]). Kaiba sees that this is the tactic without weakness of Atem. In other words, this duel has already been finished. Hearing what Kaiba said, Jyonouchi and Anzu argue that the game hasn't ended yet. Kaiba adds that if a person had fought against gods before, he would have understood. No one has known any method to defeat the three gods. Thus, Jyonouchi asks Malik, who knows Ra's ability well, about the method to beat gods. Even Malik has no idea. If there had been only one god, there might be some way. However, the three gods seem to be too tough work. Seeing that Yugi has no chance to win, Kaiba is going to leave the battle. He understands that this means Atem won't return to the world of death, wondering whether he himself can defeat the three gods. Suddenly, Yugi tells Kaiba to stop. He would like Kaiba to stay until the end of the game. Kaiba claims that he is too busy to watch Yugi's defeat. Then Yugi says that he, in fact, would like Kaiba to see the world of death where Atem is going to. He is ensured that Kaiba would like to see it. People are all amazed by Yugi's confidence. For that purpose, Yugi has stood until now and kept on fighting. He expresses his confidence that he won't lose and finally beat the three gods. As a result, Kaiba feels interested, turing to stay and watch the game until the end.

Turn comes to Yugi. Putting his hand on his duel disk, Yugi is hesitating to draw a card. His hand is also trembling. While Honda is trying to cheer him, Malik stops him. Malik says that Yugi is now fighting against himself. If a person had faced against gods before, he would have understood that feeling. Thus, Jyonouchi understood it very well. He couldn't explain his fear when he dueled against Ra of Malik. Of course, Yugi is feeling the same thing. He is very scared and even would like to run away from the game. All the time, he has followed Atem and tried to reach him. However, Atem's back seemed to be far away. Seeing Yugi's act, Atem guides him that Yugi can't win this game if he doesn't believe in his own deck. Atem reminds Yugi of what his real strength is when they and their friends were together. Due to his kindness, Yugi always takes damage rather than attacks the others. That is his real strenght and courage. Yugi looks down to his deck and then gains his fighting spirit back. This is his greatest deck built up to send Atem to the world of death. After that, Yugi thanks Atem for releasing his scare. He intends to continue the duel by his pride and courage as a true duelist.

[ Isis ]	Power of Pharaoh exceeds what we have expected.
[ Anzu ]	This is real power of Atem.
[ Mokuba ]	Because special ability of Yugi's trap card, the attack points were decreased. Obelisk's attack points are 2500.
[ Mokuba ]	By special ability of Osiris, it can give 2000 damage points by its Thunder Force (Shoraidan) to the opponent's monster once it is summoned.
[ Malik ]	Using Ra's special ability, the player can convert total attack power of monsters on the filed and his own LP to Ra. The power can rise up to 14499 points.
[ Kaiba ]	Three gods of a duelist on the field, super heavy deck of turning and summoning....these are Atem's duel tactics. This is no mistake in fighting that remains in the duel history. This duel game has already been finished.
[ Jyonouchi ]	Wait Kaiba! We haven't known that yet, have we!?
[ Honda ]	Yes
[ Anzu ]	The game hasn't ended yet.
[ Kaiba ]	If you had faced at least one god before, you would have understood.
[ Jyonouchi ]	What!?
[ Kaiba ]	Well, listen underdog! (Kaiba usually calls Jyonouchi underdog-bonkotsu). Do you understand any method to beat the three gods on the field?
[ Jyonouchi ]	That is...
[ Kaiba ]	You don't know. Of course, that is because there is no that method.
[ Jyonouchi ]	No, there must be something else. Malik, You know Ra well, don't you!?
[ Malik ]	If there had been only one Ra, I would probably know. But there are now three gods...
[ Isis ]	Perhaps, this is guidance of destiny. During 3,000 years ago, Pharaoh's sword that wasn't supplied was too big. There was nobody who could go over and catch it. The ceremonial battle wasn't formed.
[ Anzu ]	Isis-San! (Is this really gonna be the end? Atem won't go back to the world of death)
[ Kaiba ]	Let's go, Mokuba!
[ Mokuba ]	Brother!
[ Jyonouchi ]	Kaiba
[ Kaiba ]	Atem, this determines that your spirit won't return to the world of death. You already got your conclusion. (I am wondering whether I could beat the three gods.)
[ Yugi ]	Wait! Kaiba-Kun! Kaiba-Kun, I would like to see until the end.
[ Jyonouchi]	Yugi
[ Kaiba ]	Yugi, I don't have my spare time in my road to watch your defeat.
[ Yugi ]	No! It's not for that purpose. (There was cut connection between Kaiba-Kun's spirit and another I's spirit.) I am certain that you really want to see it...the world of death of another I.
[ Kaiba ]	Yugi, you...probably...
[ Yugi ]	Now, Kaiba should understand clearly. I will definitely defeat these three gods. I will win this duel.
[ Kaiba ]	What!?
[ Jyonouchi, Anzu]	Yugi

[ Kaiba ]	That is impossible. Yugi, are you serious? The way to beat the three gods on the field...

[ Atem ]	Partner, what you said....if you don't believe in your deck, you won't be able to defeat me. If you are a true duelist, you should think when you were with me and friends...the way to defeat me.
[ Yugi ]	Yugi...the way to defeat another Yugi...
[ Atem ]	That is instinct of duelist. When we unite with our decks, we become serious and get strong feeling to defeat.
[ Yugi ]	I see. I have thought about it all the time about you. To become brave while confronting many things like you......
[ Atem ]	So do I, partner! I always thought about you. You choose to attack yourself rather than hurt the others. You are a duelist with strenght of kindness. That is why our decks were together.
[ Yugi ]	Your courage...
[ Atem ]	Partner's strong deck...
[ Yugi ]	I see. When our hearts were separated, this was the deck that we built up together. It is my greatest deck built up to release you back to the world of death.
[ Atem ]	Ah!
[ Yugi ]	(Thanks another I. I am no longer scared. Whatever I have learned from you was already put in this deck. No matter what, I won't give up till the end. No matter what, I will believe in my own monsters by pride and courage of duelist.) I am coming another I!
[ Atem ]	Come on, partner!
[ Yugi ]	My turn, draw!
[ Jyonouchi, Anzu]	Yugi

Mirage Magic Instant Magic Card

In his standby phase, Yugi draws a card. Then Silent Swordman grows up by 1 level, so it obtains level 4 with 3000 attack points (2500+500 [point per turn]). People see that Silent Swordman now gains more attack points than that of Obelisk (2500). Continuously, sacrificing three Magnet Warriors - Gamma, Beta and Alpha - from his hand into the cemetery, he can summon specially Valkyrion the Magnet Warrior (Jishaku Senshi Magnet Warrior) with 3500 attack points onto the field. When the monster is summoned, special ability of Osiris is activated. Thus, it can give first 2000 damage to Valkyrion the Magnet Warrior. Atem declares the attack of Osiris, Thunder Force (Shoraidan), at once. Meanwhile, Yugi plays another magic card, Mirage Magic, from his hand. Suddenly, the attack of Osiris is blown away while Valkyrion the Magnet Warrior stands safely on the field. Besides, the attack is going into Yugi's duel disk to increase his LP. Yugi explains the effect of Mirage Magic that can be activated when the opponent attacks. It makes the attack invalid and increases LP of the player equal to that attack points. As a result, Yugi's LP goes up to 3400 (1400+2000). People are glad to see Yugi's great play. Even Kaiba is amazed by that Yugi could withstand power of Osiris and even gain LP. However, that kind of LP means nothing against the three gods. Setting two reversed cards, Yugi ends his turn.

Magic Ruler Trap Card

Now, Yugi has two monsters, Valkyrion the Magnet Warrior (3500) and Silent Swordman (3000), on the field. People are surprised by that Yugi ends his turn without attacking Obelisk (2500) or Osiris (3000). Turn comes to Atem. Although Yugi has Valkyrion the Magnet Warrior and Silent Swordman, Atem thinks that they aren't gods'opponents at all. Atem draws a card and obtains four cards on hand now. Thus, the attack points of Osiris go up to 4000. He declares the attack of Osiris (4000) agasint Silent Swordman (3000) at once. Meanwhile, Yugi activates a trap card while Atem claims that the trap card doesn't affect power of gods. Therefore, Osiris destroyes Silent Swordman by Thunder Force. Yugi's LP goes down to 2400 (3400+3000-4000). Next, Atem declares the attack of Ra (5000) against Valkyrion the Magnet Warrior (3500). Thus, Yugi's LP goes down again to 900 (2400+3500-5000). His monsters were totally destroyed by such violent attack of gods. Now, people are worried because Yugi has no monster left on his field while Atem still has the last attack of Obelisk (2500). Even Kaiba is thinking that this may be the end. Anyway, Atem declares his last attack of Obelisk against Yugi directly. God Hand Crusher of Obelisk is moving forward Yugi. Suddendly, Valkyrion the Magnet Warrior and Silent Swordmand reappear onto the field while God Hand Crusher of Obelisk stops attacking in front of them. Besides, Yugi's LP returns up to 3400. Atem thinks that this might result from the effect of the trap card that Yugi previously activated. Yugi explains that he played the trap card, Mirage Ruler. This card can be activated only in the battle phase of the opponent when the player's total monsters are all destroyed. All of the destroyed monsters will return onto the field in the same mode and LP will return to what it was before the battle phase. Afterward, the player has to pay 1000 LP. As a result, Yugi loses no monster in this turn, merely paying 1000 LP to play the trap card. His LP goes down to 2400 (3400-1000). Atem admires Yugi for the great counter. Also, Kaiba has just realized that Yugi played the trap card to affect himself not the gods. After that, Atem ends his turn.

Yugi feels a bit tired by the prior turn. Anyway, he eventually withstanded the attack of the three gods. People are also glad and excited with Yugi. Even Anzu feels the same thing. Then she has just realized that she is now cheering Yugi not Atem. At this point, Kaiba thinks that Yugi may have already figured out weak point of the gods. Basically, a condition to summon the gods, sacrifice of three great monsters, is neccessary, so it is a weak point of them. However, Atem could clear that weak point perfectly, summoning three of them onto the field. It is such an extreme spectable. Therefore, Kaiba is certain that the gods have no weak point. He has been waiting for how Yugi can catch up the gods'weak point and beat them. Besides, he would like to see Yugi's play exceeding his imagination. Then Isis says that Yugi is going to finish the game in the next turn. Although she is unable to see the future, she can feel it. Thus, Malik asks whether his sister agrees to that Yugi can beat the gods. Isis is uncertain but she can predict the situation from Yugi's face. Although the strength of nameless Pharaoh is over people's imagication, there is no expecation of his vessel (Yugi) either. Walking together with Pharaoh, the vessel now becomes bigger. When time is come, a human can call out miracle or possibility. In other words, Isis is admiring Yugi that he grows up a lot after fighting together with Pharaoh. Besides, he is probably going to show some miracle in the duel.

Magnet Force Trap Card

Yugi is getting worried about the next turn of Atem. If the gods reattack together, he may have no possibility to win. Looking at a reversed card on Atem's field, Yugi remembers that Atem had placed it before Time Jump was activated. However, Atem hasn't played it yet. Yugi predicts that the reversed card should be a trap card - Holy Barrior Mirror Force. In fact, he has only one conbo to defeat gods in his deck. Besides, there is no possibility left on his hand, so his next draw is very important to Yugil; it will judge both Yugi's and Atem's destiny. Then Yugi draws his card. In his standby phase, his Silent Swordman grows up to level 5 with 3500 attack points. Continuously, he activates special of Valkyrion the Magnet Warrior. If Alpha the Magnet Warrior, Beta the Magnet Warrior, and Gamma the Magnet Warrior exist in the graveyard, he can offer Valkyrion the Magnet Warrior as a tribute to summon specially three of them onto the field. Therefore, Alpha Magnet Warrior (1800), Beta the Magnet Warrior (1700), and Gamma the Magnet Warrior (1500) are regenerated from the graveyard onto the field. When three of them are summoned, special effect of Osiris is activated. Jyonouchi doesn't understand what Yugi is doing. All of the three magnet warriors have the attack points lower than 2000. That means all of them will be totally destroyed by the attack of Osiris. Anyway, Atem declares three attack of Osiris, Thunder Force (Shoraidan), directly toward the three magnet warriors. This is what Yugi has been waiting for. He opens his trap card, Magnet Force. This card can be activated when the player's rock-type and machine-type monsters receive the opponent's card effect. It returns the attack received in this turn to the opponent's monsters. As a result, the three attacks moves back to attack Osiris, Obelisk and Ra instead. Their's attack points all decrease; Osiris goes down to 2000 (4000-2000), Obelisk goes to 500 (2500-500) and Ra goes to 3000 (5000-2000). At this point, Kaiba sees Yugi playing the trap card affecting his own monsters again. After that, Yugi declares the attack of Silent Swordman (3500) against Obelisk (500). Suddenly, Atem opens his reversed card, Holy Barrior Mirror Force (Seinaru Barrior Mirror Force). By its effect, the attack again returns to the monsters of Yugi. In other words, all monsters on Yugi's field are destroyed. People are getting very worried since Yugi has no monster left on his field to protect himself. Kaiba sees that Atem's game tactic is still great by one card. Thus, Yugi's move seemed to be wasteful. Atem also expresses his pity feeling to Yugi. However, Yugi claims that he had already expected before that Atem would activate that trap card. When Holy Barrior Mirror Force was activated, Yugi's combo to defeat the three gods had been completed. At this moment, Yugi declares confidently that the three gods is gonna be removed in front of him. Of course, everybody is getting amazed by what Yugi is planning for...
