Inside Yami Yugi's
memory world is the Egypt world 3,000 years ago. The priest Mahado
alone is facing the thief Bakura in a king's tomb. Outside the tomb,
the soldiers close the entrance by rocks, so the theif Bakura's followers
can't get in to help him. Then a soldier makes his order to the others
to lift up a plain stone tablet. The priest Mahado previously gave
his words to the soldier that if there was Ka appearing on the tablet,
this tomb
had to be sealed forever. People know that their master has prepared
to fight until the death, so they intend to response to his will by
getting rid of any disturbance. Then the soldiers step down from
the hill and battle against the theif Bakura's followers. All of them
also bet this fight by their lives.
In the tomb, the priest greets
Bakura that he has been waiting for him here. Bakura feels pleasure
for this coming and claims for the millennium ring from the priest
Mahado. However, Mahado refuses to submit it, also claiming that Bakura
can't definitely get out off this tomb. He will use all of his power
to beat Bakura here. Then both of them summon their Ka, Diabound and
Illusive Magician (Genzou
No Majyutsushi - First form of Black Magician). Mahado sees
that Diabound looks more dreadful than before. Bakura explains that
his Diabound is evolved because of increase in his hatred. On the other
side, Illusive Magician of Mahado obtains greater power and grows up
than before. This is because Mahado can freely release his power here
without care. After that both of them declare a word "Diaha"
(Ancient term of "Duel") to open the battle. Bakura begins his attack
first, letting the bottom snake part of Diabound strike Illusive Magician.
Anyway, Illusive Magician seems to have faster speed. It can avoid
the whole Diabound's attack, and move to stay behind Diabound and Bakura.
Next, Mahado lets its Illusive Magician counterattack by magic.
Thus, Diabound gets the first hit and then falls down. After that,
Mahdao activates the next spell of Illusive Magician which can continuously
release its magic strike. Diabound is getting hit again. Bakura feels
that Mahado now isn't the same magician whom he's seen before. In other
words, he can feel the real strength of Mahado. For Mahado, he intends
to use everything he has to defeat Bakura in this battle for his Pharaoh,
no matter what.
Meanwhile, Pharaoh Yugi suddenly
gets up from his sleep at his room. He feels some presentiment and
doesn't understand what it means. So, he walks out to the terrace,
seeing that Mahado's Ouiju shrine is glowing. Also, noticing that there
is no wind, he wonders whether the glowing means a signal of fire.
On the other side, the priest Isis is looking the battle of
Mahado through her millennium tauk. She is also very worried about
his duel now.
Back to the battle, Mahado
starts getting tired while Bakura says that this warm-up time is enough.
Then both of them keep on the duel. Mahado summons another Ka quitely
into his Dia Diank (Duel Disk). After that, a monster is climbing on
the wall and then disappears through it. Bakura hasn't realized that
this is another Ka hiding itself on the wall. Next, Mahado declares
the attack of Illusive Magician. While Diabound is ready for counterattack,
there is another Ka coming out from one side of the wall. It attacks
Diabound very quickly and then disappears into another wall. Mahado
explains that this is special ability of his Ka, Shadow Gul,
which can move and hide itself inside the wall (Kabe Nuke). Then he
goes on the move of Illusive Magician and Shadow Gul. Both Ka together
attack
Diabound
but Diabound finally can turn itself away from the strike of Shadow
Gul. Bakura claims that Mahado can't use the same trick against him,
letting Diabound catch Shadow Gul and destroy it. When Ka is destroyed,
Mahado gets hurt and loses his power (Similarly, it is as if a player
lose his LP in the duel). Anyway, he still declares his attack of Ilusive
Magician. This time, he wonders whether he can beat Diabound. Seeing
nothing, he thinks that Diabound should be survive. Yet, he sees that
Diabound's diappeared. Bakura laughs and orders Diabound to attack
Illusive Magician at once. Suddenly, Diabound comes out from the wall
behind Mahado and Illusive Magician, hitting Illusive Magician strongly.
Thus, Mahado gets more hurt and falls down on his knees by this great
hit. Anyway, he is amazed by that Diabound can use special ability
of Shadow Gul, movement inside the wall. Bakura explains that Diabound
also has a special ability that can use ability of Ka destroyed.
Mahado is very shocked by this power while Bakura is laughing with
pleasure.
At Mahado's Ouiju shrine,
Mana is trying to get inside while two soldiers are stopping her. They
can't let anybody get in when the priest Mahado is away. So, Mana is
pushed back and falls down. At the same time, Pharaoh Yugi 's reached
there, giving his order to let him and Mana get in. When both of them
are inside the shrine, Pharaoh asks why Mana is coming here. Mana tells
her prince that she dreamed of her master. Her master seems to get
hurt and is in pain, so she comes here because she would like to feel
her
master. Then Maha and Pharaoh see a tablet of Illusive Magician Ka
glowing on the wall. Pharaoh wonders whether it means that Mahado is
summonning Ka. Meanwhile, Illusive Magician of Mahado is getting a
strong hit again. It seems that Diabound is stronger by special ability
of Shadow Gul. When Mahado screams wih pain, Illusive Magician Ka tablet
glowing at his Ouiju shrine starts cracking. Thus, both Mana and Pharaoh
are very worried about Mahado and believe that something is happenning
to him.

Everybody has
been looking for the real door inside Yami Yugi's maze mind. Anyway,
no one seems to get any clue of it yet. Then Jyonouchi starts complaining,
telling everybody that he or she is moving in circle. Pointing to a
smile face mark he did on a door, Jyonouchi claims that he has already
entered it. Honda admires Jyonouchi's intellect while Anzu seems not
to please with that because Jyonouchi wrote his mark inside Yami Yugi's
mind. Anyway, it is apparent that people are walking around without
exits. So Jyonouchi starts knocking a door, calling Yami Yugi's name.
He is trying to let Yami Yugi answer him where the real door is while
Anzu is trying to stop his act. At the same time, little Yugi feels
something from another door behind. Seeing Yugi moving to the door,
Honda asks what Yugi is going to do. In fact, Little Yugi doesn't this
feeling either. He says that he feels painful
when
he
comes
closer
to
this door. Thus, little Yugi decides to open that door and then Jyonouchi
tries to call Yami Yugi's name from outside. People see a shadow of
a person behind the door. Little Yugi is shocked when he sees that
the guy is Bakura. Bakura turns back with his kind face, then he
turns into Yami Bakura's face, and finally transforms into a monster.
Jyonouchi and Honda are very shocked by that. The monster starts releasing
its fire, so people have to step out from the door quickly. When they
return to the door again, behind the door is full of usual door maze.
Shadi explains that the guy, Bakura, is the real enemy of Pharaoh.
Little Yugi looks amazed by this real enemy.
Back to the
battle, seeing that Mahado is getting more tired, the theif Bakura
tells that this duel should be finished. The spell master like Mahado
isn't his opponent by that level. Then Bakura starts moving to to attack
by himself. Suddenly, he steps in a trap of Mahado that locks his one
of his leg. Mahado tells him back that it is the actual trap which
has been instailled since the beginning. Bakura's eyes are deceived
by Mahado's spell. In order to defeat Bakura, Mahado has to choose
the best expedient way for him. After that, Mahado activates another
trap that releases many big blades into the battle. One blade destroys
the trap at Bakura's leg. When released, Bakura sees that this is very
dangerous. However, it means nothing to him. Bakura steps on the blades
and lets them attack Mahado instead. So Mahado is in a tough situation
by his own trap. Although Mahado can turn away from the blades, he
has to face Diabound suddenly coming out from the wall. Then he is
strongly attacked by Diabound again. Mahado screams with pain and calls
Pharaoh.
On the other
side, Mana and Pharaoh Yugi are riding a horse to see Mahado at the
king's tomb, getting worried a lot about Mahado. Then they see thunder
at far distance. Pharaoh wonders whether Mahado is there not the king's
tomb. Mana remembers that the direction of the thunder is the way to
the training place of spell casters. So both of them suddenly change
their direction from the king's tomb to the thunder's direction
instead. In front of the entrance where the soldiers are fighting against
Bakura's followers, there is only a soldier left. Suddenly, Pharaoh
and Mana have reached this place. Pharaoh Yugi picks up a sword on
the ground, attacking one of the followers at once. He asks the soldier
where Mahado is. The soldier replies that Mahado is inside the spell
training place (Shuurenjyo) with Bakura. Thus, Pharaoh tells Mana to
contact people at the royal palace at once. Then Mana uses a hawk fly
to the royal palace. After that, Pharaoh sees that the person whom
he attacked is getting up. He wonders whether these people can't die.
So, he lets Mana get
down from the horse, beginning to fight against Bakura's followers
alone.

At the battle, Mahado is
too tired to continue the duel while Bakura knows that this should
be the end of the battle. He asks for the millennium ring to end this
game. Mahado thinks that he would like to see the newly ideal world
of Pharaoh. I won't regret to sacrifice his body for that purpose.
At the same time, the priest Seto, Akunadin, Shada and Karim, are riding
their horse from the royal palace after getting the message from the
hawk. However, only the priest Isis remains at the royal palace. She
is crying because she sees from her millennium tauk what kind of Mahado's
future will be. As she thought, Mahado is going to sacrifice himself
for Pharoah. He tells Bakura that he will show him the secretly prohibited
spell, sacrification his life to combine Ba and Ka together. Bakura
is surprised whether Mahado can do such that thing. Then, Mahado reminds
himself
of his past with Pharaoh. He remembered Pharaoh's kindness very well.
Before performing the last move, he gives his last message that his
spirit will become Pharaoh's servant forever (Waga Tamashi, Anato No
eien No Shimobe Nari). After that, his Dia Diank (Duel Disk) is broken
and a blade cuts his body. The millennium ring is blown into Bakura's
hand now.
Even Pharaoh and all priests can feel what is happenning to Mahado.
Bakura hasn't imagined that Mahado by himself would go to the death.
Anyway, he is very shocked when he sees that Ka of Mahado, Illusive
Magician can remain despite the fact that its own was dead. Illusive
Magician, in fact, has already become Black Magician (Mahado's Life
+ Illusive Magician). For peace of this world and for Pharaoh, Mahado
can't let Bakura alive, so he continues his last attack while Diabound
is also counterattacking. This time, power of Mahado, Black Magician,
seems to be greater. Both Bakura and Diabound get such a strong hit
and this is the end of the battle.
Note: Ka
and Ba are different. Ba is like a life of a person which controls
Ka representing his spirit or mind. People can live without
Ka but they will die if they lose their Ba. Mahado sacrifices
himself to combine his Ba and Ka together, so his life is gone.
When Ka and Ba is combined together, it is a free Ka able to
be controlled by anyone. Also, this Ka will be kept in a stone
tablet and can be summonned at any time by the user's will.
In this case, it is apparent that Mahado or Black Magician
belongs to Pharaoh forever as honest servant.
In
case of Kisara is a bit different. Kisara hasn't realized about
her Ka, Blue Eyes White Dragon, in her mind. Also, her Ka will
come out only if Kisara is unconscious. In this case, we can
assume that Ka and Ba of Kisara are conbined together when she
sleeps. As a result, similar to the Mahado's case, taking Kisara's
Blue Eyes White Dragon (Ka+Ba) means taking her life. Seto has
to make a decision whether to take her life to get Blue Eyes
White Dragon as his servant.

more about Ka from manga's explanation here. |
At the entrance, the ground
is trembling. Mana is screaming and calling her master while Bakura's
followers decide to leave the place. Meanwhile, the plain stone tablet
on the hill is falling down to the entrance, so Pharaoh has to pick
Mana up from that way. Then both Pharaoh and Mana are very shocked
when they see that an image appearing on the tabet is the image of
Mahado in form of Black Magician. Mana starts crying and calling her
master. Also, Pharaoh feels painful to the death of Mahado. At the
same time, little Yugi can also feel sorrow of Yami Yugi. After that,
all priests have just reached and see the stone tablet of Mahado. Pharaoh
seems to hear Mahado's last messages "Pharaoh! I will be your servant
forever".
Little Yugi can feel that
Yami Yugi's heart is trembling. Shadi explains that it it because this
is a maze inside Yami Yugi's mind. Thus, people get an idea how to
reach Yami Yugi. They hold their hands together, close their eyes,
and think of Yami Yugi in order to see where Yami Yugi is and hears
Yami
Yugi's
voice
in this
maze mind. Then Yami Yugi's picture come up on their minds. People
can see and feel Yami Yugi now. So they keep on thinking in order to
find the real door again. Their strong feeling that they would like
to see Yami Yugi finally gives them the answer. Suddenly, there is
light shining up around the maze mind of Yami Yugi...
