[ Epsiode 188 ] An Illusively Ancient Dragon

The duel between Jyoonouchi and Mask the Rock continues. Turn comes to Jyoonouchi. Drawing a card, he summons Goblin Attack Force (Goblin Totsugeki Butai 3/2300/0) in attack mode. Then he lets it attack Anciently Giant Man (Initiate No Kyoojin 5/2200/1100) of Mask the Rock. Suddenly, Mask the Rock activates his trap card,Ordeal of a Traveler (Tabihito No Shinen). Effected by that card, Jyoonouchi has to guess what type, monster, magic or trap card, of a card on Mask the Rock's hand is. If he guesses wrongly, his Goblin Attack Force is returned to his hand. Mask the Rock tries to provoke Jyoonouchi and urges him to select one type while Jyoonouchi is hesitating to choose. Lastly, Jyoonouchi decides to select a magic card. Anyway, it is wrong. Mask the Rock shows his card a monster card, Killer Snake. As a result, Jyoonouchi's attack is invalid. His Goblin Attack Force is returned to his hand. Then Mask the Rock tells Jyoonouchi that his play is depending on a luck. Hearing it, Jyoonouchi is getting angry, arguing back that it isn't a but but a fact. On the other side, everybody is getting worried about Jyoonouchi because Jyoonouchi hasn't any monster left on his field. So he will get an attack in the next turn. Setting a card, Jyoonouchi ends his turn.

Ancient Book (Initiate No Shomotsu) magic card

Turn is back to Mask the Rock. After drawing a card, he lets Anciently Giant Man directly attack Jyoonouchi. Suddenly, Jyoonouchi activates his reversed card, Scapegoat, to block the attack. He response to Mask the Rock that he isn't a duelist depending on only a luck. Anyway, Mask the Rock reminds Jyoonouchi of the permanent effect of the trap card, Ordeal of a Traveler. As long as Jyoonouhci can't guess the card correctly, he can't continue any attack in his turn. Seeing two cards on Mask the Rock's hand, Jyoonouchi is getting worried about one of them. He knows that one is a monster card, Killer Snake while he has no idea about another. After that, Mask the Rock activates a magic card, Ancient Book (Initiate No Shomotsu). At this point, Jyoonouchi looks very happy because he has known that the left card on Mask the Rock's hand must be a monster card, Killer Snake. However, Mask the Rock tells him an effect of Ancient Book which allows him to switch a card from his hand to a top card on his deck. So a card on Mask the Rock's hand is changed. Jyoonouchi is getting very annoyed with Mask the Rock's play. Changing his monsters into a defense mode that lets Ancient Key turns a bit, Mask the Rock announces to end his turn. Also Ancient Key turns itself that lets Mask the Rock's LP down to 4000 (5000-4000). Yami Yugi explains to little Yugi that it is the effect of two Anciently Giant Man Tokens specially summoned from Ancient Key. When an Anciently Giant Man attacks an opponent's monster, it deals damage to a player by 500 points. As a result, two Anciently Giant Men deal 1000 (500*2) damage to Mask the Rock.

Move has come to Jyoonouchi. Drawing a card, Jyoonouchi is thinking whether he should again summon Goblin Attack Force. Now he and Mask the Rock have 3 monsters on the field. If next turn Mask the Rock draws another monster card, Jyoonouchi may lose. Anyway, Jyoonouchi reminds himself of the top card on Mask the Rock's deck which must be Killer Snake because Mask the Rock swichted it back into his deck in the previous turn. Thus Jyoonouchi summons Goblin Attack Force in an attack mode and then ends his turn.

At the same time, Leon is dueling against Dr.Richard on Roller Coaster theme park. Dr. Richard is finally defeated, screaming into the sky. Isone announces the winner through speakers. Then Dr.Richard is wheeled out by his nurses while Leon is watching after them.

On the other side, outside the town, Haga and Ryuusaki with cloaks and sticks are walking slowly to Kaiba Land. Both of them are very tired but they are happy to finally reach there. They move slowly into the gate to find Jyoonochi and Yugi in order to revenge them again.

Back to the duel, Mask the Rock draws a card that is Killer Snake. Playing an effect of Ancient Book, Mask the Rock has to discard a card into his graveyard. As a result, he discards Killer Snake that he drew. Anyway, when Killer Snake is sent into graveyard, its special ability is activated. When this card is in a player's graveyard in his stand by phase, it can be returned into a player's hand. So Killer Snake is back to Mask the Rock's hand. Jyoonouchi is very annoyed by that play. Then Mask the Rock explains about his legendary dragon which a field magic card, Initiated Town - Ancient City (Initiate No Miyako Ancient City), can summon. When the door of Ancient City is opened, Ancient Dragon comes out. In order to activate this effect, Ancient Key is another factor. Yugi has just understood that Ancient Key turns when Anciently Giant Man changes its position. Also, Mask the Rock explains this combination to summon Ancient Dragon.

Kodai Ryuu (Ancient Dragon) monster card

1. Anciently Giant Tokens have to change their directions - attack to defend and back to attack mode - that turns Ancient Key around. Then an ability of Ancient Key is activated to the next step.
2. Sacrificing Anciently Giant Tokens and Ancient Key, Mask the Rock can activate a magic card, Ancient Gate (Initiate No Tobira) from either his deck, hand or graveyard. When the gate is opened, Ancient City can be activated in the next step.
3. Mask the Rock continues playing an effect of Ancient City. By its effect, sacrificing Anciently Giant Man, Ancient Book and Ancient Gate, totally three cards, Mask the Rock can specially Golden Dragon - Ancient Dragon ( Kodai Ryuu Ancient Dragon 8/2800/2100).

Everybody is getting very amazed by Mask such a great combination. Yami Yugi says that it is grandpa's found treasure (Takara). Professor Hopskins comes out and talks to eveybody that finally Sugoroku has found Ancient Dragon. Also, he shows up his deck and explains the factors to summon Ancient Dragon. Those key cards are Ancient Key, Ancient Book, Anciently Giant Man, two Anciently Giant Man Tokens and Ancient Gate. Anyway, both Sugoroku and professor Hopskins haven't Ancient Gate. They have been searching for it for a long time. Then in a previous day, Sugoroku called professor Hopskins from the airport and said that he finally found the last key card, Ancient Gate. So, his combination was complete. Professor Hopskins was very impressed and glad with him. He also says how much Sogokuro loves game cards. Anzu and Yugi agree that grandpa behaves like a kid. So Professor Hopskins adds that it is a normal characteristic of a player because he enjoys such a fun duel monster game. Hearing a word "fun", Yugi comes up with something...

Gathering of the Landstars (Shuuketsu Landstar Sentai) monster card

Then Jyoonouchi gets back full fighting spirit and continues his move. Drawing a card, he gets Gilford the Lightening. After that, he activates a magic card, Treasure of Destiny (Unmei No Housatsu), which allows a player to draw additional cards equal to the number on a dice tossed. A dice is tosses from this magic card. However, Mask the Rock reactivates a trap card, Legendary Gambler, to block Jyoonouchi's dice technique again. If he can get higher number from Legendary Gambler's dice than Jyoonouchi's, Tresure of Destiny's effect is invalid. Anyway, this time Jyoonouchi gets 4 while Mask the Rock gets 3. So Jyoonouchi wins and can draws additional 4 cards. He looks very happy to see a ton of cards on his hand. Then Jyoonouchi activates a magic card, Gathering of the Landstars (Shuuketsu Landstar Sentai), which allows a player to summon specially all Landstar warriors with level 3 or less that he has on hand to the field. Jyoonouchi has three Landstars - Gunman of Landstar (Landstar No Jyuushi), Knight of Landstar (Landstar No Kishi) and Freedom Fighter of Landstar (Landstar No Kakutoushi) - on his hand, so he summons all of them. After that, Jyoonouchi sacrifices three Landstars to summon Gilford the Lightening. By its special after being summoned by sacrificing three monsters, it can destroy all monsters on the opponent's side. Accordingly, Jyoonouchi lets its special effect destroy Ancient Dragon and continuously attack Mask the Rock. Mask the Rock's LP is down to 1200 (4000-2800). Then Jyoonouhi ends his turn.

Anyway, Mask the Rock still chuckles. Ancient Dragon is coming out from Ancient City that amazes Jyoonouchi a lot. Mask the Rock is activating a special ability of a field magic card Ancient City. As long as this magic is on the field, Ancient Dragon can be resummoned specially from graveyard. Jyoonouchi seems to enjoy with that kind of effect.

Turn is back to Mask the Rock, he lets Ancient Dragon attack Gilford the Lightening. Everybody is wondering because both monsters have the same 2800 attack power. However, after being destroyed, Ancient can be regenerated from Ancient City's effect. Then Mask the Rock ends his turn. Jyoonouchi doesn't much get worried about it, but he more enjoys. Drawing a card, he gets Pot of Greed and activates it to draw additional two cards. Jyoonouchi notices Hurricane on his hand and comes up with some idea. If he uses it, which can destroy all magic and trap cards on the field, he can destroy Ancient City's effect. However, it destroys an effect of his magic card, either. Honda tries to urge Jyoonouchi to continue while Jyoonouchi tells him to shut up.

Premature Burial (Hayasugita Maisou) magic card

Then Jyoonouchi talks to Mask the Rock that he enjoys this duel a lot and how he can forget this great feeling. Anyway, he will become the winner of this game. After that, Jyoonouchi activates a magic card, Premature Burial (Hayasugita Maisou). Paying 800 LP, Jyoonouchi can resummon a monster from his graveyard. His LP is now down to 900 (1700-800). As a result, he regenerates Goblin Attack Force. Continuously, he activates Hurricane to return all trap and magic cards on both field back to the player's hands. So Ancient City and Legendary Gambler of Mask the Rock are returned to Mask the Rock's hand while Premature Burial is returned to Jyoonouchi's hand. From this point on, Ancient Dragon can't be resummoned. Then Jyoonouchi replays Premature Burial from his handl, paying another 800 LP to resummon Gilford the Lightening. LP of him is down to 100 (900-800). He lets Gilford the Lightening attack Ancient Dragon. Both of them have the same 2800 attack power, so they are destroyed together without damage. Then Jyoonouchi lets Goblin Attack Force directly attack Mask the Rock. Mask the Rock's LP becomes 0 (1200-2300), so he is finally defeated. Everybody is amazed by Jyoonouchi's performance because Jyoonouchi excerised his brain well and then won the game. Jyoonouchi and the others run over Mask the Rock. Jyoonouchi tries to help him and says that he really enjoyed the duel. Laughing, Mask the Rock takes off his mask. Jyoonouchi is getting shocked when he sees that face of Sugoroku grandpa. He has never thought that Mask the Rock was Sugoroku while everybody could guess easily before. Sugoroku says hello to everybody. He is very impressed by Jyoonouchi's great skill however Mokuba doesn't think so. Jyoonouchi looks very happy to Sugoroku's comment. Yami Yugi says that little Yugi should understand now what grandpa means. Of couse, little Yugi gets that fun should come first..
