Finally, Yugi can beat such a powerful dragon, Leviathan by power of three gods, and releases all people's souls. Anyway, Dartz starts gathering dark minds of people around the world and prepares for the big final attack in a form of a black dragon. Yugi decides to use his heart capture all of the darkness. Dark power is consuming Yugi while Yugi is trying his best to resist it. Hearing Yami Yugi screaming with pain, little Yugi hurries to get in to help. However, Yami Yugi stops him and tells him that this is his own battle. That reminds little Yugi of the first duel against Raphael. At that time, Yami Yugi refused listening to little Yugi that caused the defeat and the lost of little Yugi's soul. Though this time Yami Yugi said the same , the situation is different. Yami Yugi insists to fight by himself. As a result, little Yugi has to stay back and merely look at Yami Yugi's fight. The pain is is swelling over Yami Yugi while he is reminding himself of when he faced little Yugi at the wilderness of stones (ep.163). Yami Yugi feels more pain and screams again. Little Yugi calls Yami Yugi loudly with concern. Anyway, Yami Yugi hasn't given up yet. He faces the black dragon and thinks back when Iron Heart and Christ were attacked at the wilderness of stones (ep.164), when Jyoonouchi's soul was taken (ep. 174), when Raphael's soul was taken (ep.179) when Kaiba was gone during the final battle against Dartz (ep.180) and when Yami Yugi almost gave up with hopelessness (ep. 181). After flashbacks, Yami Yugi starts screaming to the black dragon. No matter what, memory about his friends, which is his light, always exists in his mind. Then he activates his power again to consume dark power into himself. Yami Yugi intends to eliminate evil darkness. Suddenly, the towering flame absorbs the unusual phenomenon occurring around the world that lets the destruction around the world stop. The black dragon is swirling smaller and it finally disappears. Everything is turning into normal. Finishing his hard job, Yami Yugi is falling down with tiredness while little Yugi is hanging him on. Yami Yugi tells little Yugi that it (darkness-the black dragon and dark minds) has already gone. Little Yugi is glad that lastly Yami Yugi could beat it. Looking over the ground, both of them see Dartz falling down. Dartz is getting up when the bright light is shining in front of him. Iron Heart and Christ appear in ancient costumes. Iron Heart tells Dartz that everyting has ended because of nameless Pharaoh while Christ thanks Yugi for taking her father back. At this point, darkness in Dartz's mind has already gone, so his eye's color returns original color. Dartz says nothing but smiles politely. Then Iron Heart tells both Yugi to return to their world and prepare for the new future. Walking towards the dimension vertex, both Yugi look back to see everybody for the last time. Then they disappear inside the vertex. After that, Christ tells his father to have a rest with her. Her mother, the queen, is also waiting for him. Turning his face to his daughter, Dartz looks very happy.

At the same time, the floating Atlantis kingdom is falling down into the ocean that causes such a huge wave around there. Jyoonouchi and Kaiba have left the Doma shrine. Anzu wonders why Yugi hadn't followed them. Seeing the big wave coming closer, Mokuba tells his brother to hurry to remove. While everybody is moving up the KC helicopter, Jyoonouchi is turning back to see Yugi. Honda has to stop him and tell him to trust Yugi. There is no time left for Jyoonouchi to go back. So Jyoonouchi feels hurt to leave Yugi. When the helicopter is taking off, the wave takes over the Doom tower and the shrine. Inside the helicopter, both Jyoonouchi and Anzu are very worried about Yugi.

Move to the central hospital in the city, an insector Haga and a dinosaur Ryuusaki have just recovered. Both of them wonder why they are there. Then they realize that they were defeated that caused the lost of the souls. Getting angry at Yugi and Jyoonouchi, Haga and Ryuusaki hurry to remove from the room. In another room, Amelda has just got up. He saw an toy robot by his pillow. So he reminds himself of the previous events when he started dueling against Kaiba , when he was finally defeated and then he saw his younger brother.

Turning to another place close to a beach, Varon has just recovered in a house. He reminds himself of his finally violent duel against Jyoonouchi. Though he doesn't see Mai here, he sees a card that Mai has left for him. It is Harpy Lady SB. At the same time, Mai is riding her bicycle along the beach. She reminds herself of the duel between Jyoonouchi and Varon even her dual against Jyoonouchi. The last one, Yugi has just gained his consciousness on a deserted island. Both Yugi were safe. Suddenly, aurora appears and Black Magician Girl with the three legendary knights, Timaeus, Critias and Helmos come out. Black Magicianl Girl thanks her master for saving both duel monster world and the earth. The three legendary knights also thank nameless Pharaoh. Yami Yugi tells them that without their help, he couldn't have defeated darkness. Then the three legendary knights start flying back to their world. Black Magician turns her face to her master and seems to start talking something. However, she changes her mind, saying good bye and following the three legendary knights. Everybody on KC helicopter sees the aurora and the three legendary knights and Black Magician Girl flying up there. Then all monsters disappear in the aurora. Jyoonouchi and Kaiba take out their Helmos and Critias cards. However, both cards then disappear. Kaiba thinks that everything that has happened is merely a dream and illusion. Seeing out the window, Anzu lets everybody see Yugi on the island. When the helicopter is landing, Jyoonouchi jumps over Yugi. Anzu and Honda are glad to see that Yugi is safe. Everybody is happy to see each other again. Jyoonouchi tells his friends to move now. While walking, little Yugi stops and turns back. He finds Yami Yugi looking over the horizon and seeing the sunset. So he calls Yami Yugi. Little Yugi is thinking about darkness inside Yami Yugi that once controlled him and resurrected his curse. Anyway, he is no longer worried about it. Now Yami Yugi is different. He is a new light in a form of Pharaoh...
