Yugi, Jounouchi, Anzu, Honda and Otogi are standing on the platform of a train station, their bags of luggage beside them. Anzu says that they’ll leave Rebecca and Professor Hopkins with Otogi. He says that they can count on him, and that he’ll catch up to the others once Professor Hopkins gets better. Honda replies that that’s good, because the situation won’t improve without the professor. There’s a short flashback of Yugi remembering Rebecca crying back at the motor home. She wants to save Yugi herself, but Professor Hopkins tells her to control herself; Yugi is the one who’s really suffering. Rebecca calls Professor Hopkins an idiot and runs into the motor home.

The bell for the train begins to ring, and Yugi, Jounouchi, Anzu and Honda get on board, leaving Otogi on the platform. At the train leaves, Otogi waves them off, and Jounouchi and Honda, standing at the window of the train door, wave back. All the while, Yugi remains silent, staring down at the ground.

The train speeds through the desert, while Honda and Jounouchi tuck into refreshments. Anzu looks over at them, but then looks over at Yugi, who is still silent and depressed. She wants him to say something, so she sneezes loudly, but Yugi continues to stare downwards. Then she points out the view, but Yugi continues to ignore her. Eventually she gives up with a sigh.

Anzu recalls that Yugi must really miss… Yugi. It’s like a part of him is gone (there are momentary flashbacks to Anzu and Yugi laughing in the school classroom, then the two of them, with Honda and Jounouchi, greeting each other in the street, and finally the two of them laughing together over Duel Monster cards, while Jounouchi, standing on a Dueling platform, looks on). She tells him that they’ll get Yugi back, but he should cheer up. Yugi gets up and leaves, walking down the aisle and out of the door at the front of the carriage.

Honda says to Anzu that nothing she can say will help Yugi at the moment. His loss is too great for him right now. Jounouchi says to leave him be, then adds that he, Jounouchi Katsuya-sama, will rescue Little Yugi.

Meanwhile, Yugi stands by himself in the small compartment between two carriages, staring out of the window. He remembers his duel with Rafael, and sacrificing Black Magician Girl for Catapult Turtle’s effect, then the monsters he has betrayed staring down at him from the sky, then Guardian Airtos attacking him to end the due, and finally Little Yugi pushing him out of he way so that he (Little Yugi) is the one to be taken by the Orichalcos. Yugi thinks that he has lost something worse than his life, and punches the wall in anger, and sinks down to the floor in anguish, apologising to his Aibou.

Back with the others, they comment that Yugi’s been gone for a while, and then realise that everyone else in the train has disappeared too! Dartz, in his lair, looks on, chuckling evilly. As the train passes over a bridge spanning a ravine with a river beneath, Jounouchi, Honda and Anzu climb the stairs to the second floor of the train. Here as well, all the passengers have disappeared. The train continues to speed onwards, and Yugi returns through the door at the end of the carriage. They decide that it must be Doma, and Yugi turns and runs off to find them, followed by the others. As Yugi passes into the next carriage, the link between the two carriages breaks, and the metal holding them together bends and snaps off. The carriage Yugi is in continues forward, whilst the carriage the others are in begins to slow, and a gap between the two appears, getting quickly bigger. Yugi holds out his hand, and Anzu jumps across to him, leaving Jounouchi, Honda and half the train behind.

The latter part of the train finally stops, and Jounouchi and Honda jump out, and then realise they’re in the middle of nowhere. Honda wonders if Doma has done all this as they watch the train disappear into the distance.

Then someone appears beside them in the door of the carriage. The camera pans up to reveal Dinosaur Ryuzaki, wearing a Doma duel disk. He hops down off the train and walks over to them, telling Jounouchi that he’s going to take his soul.

Back inside the train, Anzu finds an intercom and uses it to ask the driver to stop the train. The shot cuts to the empty drivers’ seats. They reach the engine, and Yugi climbs onto the roof, looking for a way inside. Staring down at him from the roof is Insector Haga, also equipped with a Doma duel disk. Yugi stands up, and Anzu follows, poking her head over the top of the engine. Haga demands a rematch with Yugi, telling him he isn’t the same as before. He then takes from his pocket an Orichalcos stone. It begins to glow threateningly.

Meanwhile, Ryuzaki is also holding out in his hand a glowing piece of the rock.

...Break...

Anzu asks Haga why he is working for Doma, and he tells her that it’s so that can beat Yugi, of course. Yugi and Haga stare each other down, while Anzu climbs onto the roof, saying that she won’t let them duel like this. Haga says she looks terrible, but tender girls are more lovely, and Anzu asks what he’s talking about. Haga says to her that she isn’t the one he wants to speak to – he wants to speak to the Nameless Pharaoh. Yugi is surprised by this, but Haga tells him that he heard Yugi has two personalities, and asks him if he wants to know where the other Yugi is. He says that he’ll have to beat him in a duel to find out.

At the same time, Ryuzaki activates his duel disk. Jounouchi demands to know if it was him who disconnected the trains, and what he wants from them. Ryuzaki replies that they have a score to settle. Jounouchi asks him if he knows that it means to join Doma. Does he want to destroy the world? Ryuzaki says that it’s nothing to do with him. He just wants to beat Jounouchi, and draws his first five cards. Jounouchi says to Honda that they should leave and find Yugi and Anzu.

Ryuzaki ignores them, and draws the Seal of Orichalcos, holding it up to show them. Jounouchi tells him that anyone that plays that card and loses will lose their soul. Ryuzaki plays it anyway, and green light bursts from his duel disk. The Seal appears around Ryuzaki, and he screams as its power rises up around him. The Seal bursts outwards, throwing Honda back and surrounding Jounouchi. Ryuzaki chuckles sadistically, his eyes glowing red, and he lifts up the front of his hat to reveal the Seal of Orichalcos on his forehead. Jounouchi calls him an idiot.

At the same time Haga and Yugi faces him. The two of them have activated their duel disks and drawn their opening hands. Haga laughs, and Anzu warns Yugi not to duel, but he tells her to stay out of it. Anzu doesn’t think that Yugi can duel calmly at the moment.

Haga draws, and holds up the Seal of Orichalcos. He asks Yugi how it feels to have that darkness in his mind. Then he laughs and says that he’s joking – he’ll know the feeling when he plays the card. Haga plays the Seal, and Anzu is thrown from the train. She just manages to grab onto the edge of the next carriage. Then she’s blown back again, but manages to stop herself. Yugi asks if she’s alright, then turns back to Haga, whose eyes are glowing read, and whose forehead is marked with the Seal.

In Dartz’ temple, Rafael comes up behind him, commenting that they’ll soon have two souls, and Dartz chuckles a little.

Haga’s turn continues, and he summons [Pheromone Wasp 3/800/800: When this monster successfully attacks your opponent directly, you may select one Level 4 or lower Insect-type Monster from your deck and Special Summon it on your side of the field at the end of the Battle Phase.] in attack mode. Its attack rises to 1300 with the effect of the Seal of Orichalcos [800 + 500]. Haga sets two cards and ends his turn.

Yugi draws and summons [Obnoxious Celtic Guardian ~ Meddling Elvish Swordsman 4/1400/1200: This card is not destroyed as a result of battle when this card battles with a monster with an ATK of 1900 or more. (Damage calculation is applied normally.)] and attacks. Weevil activates [Mimisus ~ The Carrier – Normal Trap: You can only activate this card when a face-up Insect-type monster on your side of the field is attacked. Return the Insect-type monster to your hand and Special Summon one Level 4 or lower Monster from your hand.] and uses it to Special Summon [Parasite Caterpillar: 3/800/800: When this monster is destroyed as a result of battle, the Monster that destroyed it can no longer attack, and is treated as ‘Cocoon of Evolution’, and is considered off the field. In three turns, that monster is destroyed, and you may Special Summon one ‘Poison Butterfly’ from your deck to your opponent’s side of the field.]

It gains 500 ATK points from the effect of the Seal (1300 ATK), and Meddling Elvish Warrior destroys it. Haga’s life drops to 3900 (1300 + 4000 – 1400), and Haga laughs, saying he’ll make Yugi suffer little by little.

Back on the ground, Ryuzaki says to Jonouchi that he will bet his life on this duel, so why not take his challenge? Jounouchi finally activates his duel disk, and thinks that this duel is for saving Ryuzaki, not for beating him.

Ryuzaki Special Summons [Gilasaurus ~ Fleet-Footed Gilasaurus 3/1400/400: You may treat the Normal Summon of this card as a Special Summon. If you select Special Summon, your opponent may select a Monster Card from his/her Graveyard and Special Summon the monster to the field.] and has to explain it’s effect to Jounouchi. (Jounouchi would be able to Special Summon a monster from the Graveyard, but as he does not have any, he cannot do so.) Ryuzaki then Special Summons a second Gilasaurus, and then Normal Summons [Chitoptera ~ Hellkite Saurus 4/1400/700: ?] His three monsters’ ATK points each rise to 1900 (1400 + 500).

Jounouchi chuckles and says that Ryuzaki just got a good hand. Ryuzaki replies that Jounouci only beat him last time because he was lucky, which annoys Jounouchi, and he is annoyed even more when Honda agrees with Ryuzaki.

Ryuzaki sets a card and ends his turn.

Jounouchi draws and Normal Summons the only monster he has strong enough to defeat Ryuzaki’s Dinosaurs, [Panther Warrior ~ Shikokku No Hyosenshi Panther Warrior 4/2000/1600: This card cannot attack unless you Tribute 1 monster on your side of the field.]. He can’t attack with it yet, though, so he sets [Scapegoat – Instant Magic: When this card is activated, you cannot Summon any Monster in the same turn (including Special Summon and Flip Summon). Place 4 Sheep tokens (Beast-Type/EARTH/1 Star/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position on your side of the field. These tokens cannot be used as a Tribute for a Tribute Summon.] and ends his turn.

Over on the train, Haga summons Pheromone Wasp once more, and attacks directly, reducing Yugi to 2700 life points (4000 – 1300). Using Pheromone Wasp’s effect, Weevil Special Summons [Leghul 1/300/350: This monster may attack your opponent's Life Points directly.] from his deck. Its attack immediately rises to 800 (300 + 500). Then Haga plays [Insect Barrier ~ Mushi Yoke Barrier – Permanent Magic: Your opponent's Insect-Type monsters cannot attack as long as this card remains face-up on the field.].

Anzu wonders why he plays that card – Yugi doesn’t have any Insect monsters. But, Yugi’s Meddling Elvish Warrior is now an Insect thanks to Parasite Catapillar. Plus, it will eventually become Poison Butterfly, which won’t be able to attack either.

Yugi draws, while Dartz and Rafael watch, and the episode ends with a shot of Little Yugi’s soul trapped by the Orichalcos.
