โจวโนะอุจิไม่ยอม Duel กับไม ไมบอกว่าจะหนีเหรอ เป็น Duelist หรือเปล่า โจวโนะอุจิไม่อยาก Duel ที่ต้องจบลงด้วยการสูญเสียดวงวิญญาณของคนใดคนนึง แต่ตนก็ไม่อยากยอมแพ้หรือถูกดูถูกในฐานะของ Duelist ในที่สุดโจวโนะอุจิก็ต้องยอม Duel จนได้ โจวโนะอุจิส่ง Vyvern Warrior ออกมาและจบ Turn ตาไมก็สั่ง Harpy Lady ที่ Power Up ขึ้นจากพลังของ The Seal of Oracle Curse ออกมาอีกตัว และสั่งให้ Harpy Lady ตัวที่ 1 ทำลาย Vyvern Warrior ของโจวโนะอุจิซะ ส่วน Harpy Lady ก็โจมตีใส่โจวโนะอุจิโดยตรง ไมหมอบการ์ดไว้ 1 ใบก่อนจบ Turn ยูกิเจ้าของร่างถามตัวเองอีกคนว่าจะทำยังไงดี ทั้ง 2 ต่างก็ไม่เข้าใจว่าเกิดอะไรขึ้นกับไมหลังจาก Battle City ถ้าให้โจวโนะอุจิยืมพลังจาก Timaeus ของยูกิก็อาจเอาชนะพลังของ Oracle Curse ได้แต่ก็ไม่สามารถส่งการ์ดเข้าไปในข่อบข่ายของ Oracle Curse ได้

ด้านโมคุบะก็พยายามติดต่อกับบริษัท Industrial Illusion ของเพกาซัสแต่ก็ไม่ได้รับสัญญาณตอบกลับมา ไคบะบอกว่าแสดงว่าเพกาซัสอาจพ่ายแพ้ไปแล้วก็ได้ ทั้ง 2 จึงรีบมุ่งหน้าไปต่อที่บริษัท Industrial Illusion ของเพกาซัส

กลับมาที่ตาของโจวโนอุจิก็ส่ง Rocket Warrior ออกมาพร้อมกับหมอบการ์ดไว้ 1 ใบ วารอนพยายามจะเชียร์ไมแต่ไมก็ปฏิเสธไม่ให้ใครเข้ามายุ่งกับการต่อสู้ของตน ตาไมก็สั่งให้ Harpy Lady ทำลาย Rocket Warrior ส่วน Harpy Lady อีกตัวก็กำลังจะโจมตีโจวโนะอุจิโดยตรงอีกรอบหนึ่ง โจวโนะอุจิเปิด Scape Goat การ์ดมารับการโจมตีไว้ ไมเองก็เปิดการ์ดที่หมอบไว้เช่นกัน การ์ดนี้ทำให้ไมสามารถ Copy Monster ของตนได้เท่ากับจำนวน Monster บนสนามที่โจวโนะอุจิมีอยู่ ไมจึง Copy Harpy Lady เพิ่มขึ้นมาอีก 4 ตัวตามจำนวน Scape Goat ของโจวโนะุอุจิ บนสนามของไมมี Harpy Lady ทั้งหมด 6 ตัวตามเงื่อนไขพิเศษของ The Seal of Oracle Curse ที่สามารถให้มี Monster บนสนามได้สูงสุดถึง 10 ตัว เทคนิกของไมคือการผสมผสานการ์ด Harpy Lady หลายๆ ตัวกับรูปแบบ Formation ในการโจมตีและป้องกันต่าง ๆ โจวโนะอุจิส่ง Panther Warrior ออกมาที่มีพลังเพิ่มขึ้นจากจำนวน Scape Goat ที่อยู่บนสนาม Panther Warrior โจมตีเข้าใส่ Harpy Lady ขอไมแต่ทว่าไมก็ใช้การ์ดกับดักผสามผสานกับ Harpy Ladies ให้เปลี่ยน Formation เป็นรูปวิหคเพลิงซูซาคุในการป้องกันการโจมตีของ Panther Warrior ได้ โจวโนะอุจิเริ่มกังวลใจว่าทำยังไงไมถึงจะกลับมาเป็นเหมือนเดิมได้ ไมบอกว่าพวกโจวโนะอุจิเข้าใจผิดแล้ว ที่ตนตัดสินใจพึ่งพลังแห่งความมืดของ Dartz นี่ไม่มีใครบังคับทั้งนั้น ตนเป็นคนเลือกเดินทางนี้เอง ไมเล่าให้ฟังว่าหลังจาก Battle City แล้วตนก็เข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน Tournament ไปทั่วโลก ถึงแม้ตนจะชนะคู่แข่งก็ไม่ได้พูดถึงตนแต่กลับพูดถึงผู้ชนะในการแข่งที่ Battle City คือยูกิและ Top 4 โจวโนะอุจิว่าแข็งแกร่งมาก ทำให้ไมไม่รู้สึกว่าตนเป็นผู้ชนะเลย หนำซ้ำไมยังคงตกอยู่ในฝันร้ายที่ตนพ่ายแพ้ให้กับ Malik ใน Battle City ตลอดเวลา และแล้ววันหนึ่งไมก็ได้เจอกับวารอน วารอนเข้ามาท้าไมแข่งและไมก็แพ้ ไมรู้สึกหวาดกลัวและร้องเรียกหาโจวโนะอุจิให้ช่วย วารอนเสนอความช่วยเหลือไมบอกว่าตนจะให้สิ่งที่ไมต้องการ ไมอยากชนะและแข็งแกร่งขึ้นจึงยอมตามวารอนไป

ว่าแล้วไมก็ทำลาย Monster ของโจวโนะอุจิบนสนามทั้งหมด ตอนนี้โจวโนะอุจิเหลือ LP อยู่เพียง 200 ในขณะที่ไมมี Happy Lady อยู่ถึง 6 ตัวบนสนาม Turn ต่อไปโจวโนะอุจิต้องถูกโจมตีแพ้แน่นอน โจวโนะอุจิครุ่นคิดอยู่พักนึงและคิดอยากจะช่วยไมโดยการมอบชีวิตของตัวเองให้ โจวโนะอุจิจึงตัดสินใจจะยอมแพ้โดยวางมือบน LP บน Duel Disk ของตน แต่ทว่ายูกิกลับจะโกนห้ามไว้และกระตุ้นให้โจวโนะอุจิสู้ต่อไปหากต้องการจะช่วยเหลือไมจริงๆ ในฐานะของ Duelist คนหนึ่ง โจวโนะอุจิจึงคิดได้และกลับมายืนหยัดสู้กับไมต่อด้วยความเชื่อมั่น...

Mai is falling in darkness

Jyoonouchi doesn't want to duel against Mai. Mai looks down him and asks him if he is afraid and if he is a true duelist. Though Jyoonouchi doesn't want to end this game with sacrifice of one side's soul, he complies to duel. He summons Vyvern Warrior and ends his turn. Turn comes to Mai, she summons another Harpy lady. Both Harpy Ladies gain 500 attack power up from the Seal of Oracle Curse. Mai plays one Harpy Lady to destroy Vyvern Warrior while another one directly attacks Jyoonouchi. Then she faces down a card before ending her turn. Both Yugi have no idea how to help Jyoonouchi. If they give Critias to Jyoonouchi, he may win this game. However, no one can enter into the Seal of Oracle Curse until the end of the game.

Mokuba tries to contact Industrial Illusion of Pegasus but he gets no response. Kaiba told him that Pegasus might alrady lose. So both of them hurry to Industrial Illusion.

Turn back to Jyoonouchi, he summons Rocket Warrior and faces down a card. Varon tries to cheer Mai but Mai tells him not to interfere. This is her duel. Turn comes to Mai again, she plays a Harpy Lady to destroy Rocket Warrior and another to directly attack Jyoonouchi. Jyoonouchi faces up his card that is Scape Goats. Mai also faces up her card that is a tripple mirror. With ability of this card, Mai can copy Harpy Lady equal to numbers of Scape Goats. There are 4 scape goats, so Mai can copy 4 Harpy Ladies. Now she has 6 Harpy Ladies in total. In the Seal of Oracle Curse, players can play monsters up to 10 monsters at maximun. Mai's technique is combination Harpy Ladies with different formation in both attack and defense modes. Jyoonouchi summons Panther Warrior having power up by numbers of Scape Goats. He lets Panther Warrior attack Harpy Lady. Then Mai plays trap card to chage Harpy Ladies into flaming bird form (Susaku) to block the attack. Jyoonouchi much worries how to bring Mai back. Mai tells him that he misunderstands her. She isn't controlled by anyone. It is her own decision to gain dark power of Dartz. After Battle City, Mai joined many tournaments. Though she won, no one talked about her. He or she usually talked about the winner of Battle City, Yugi and top 4, Jyoonouchi. Mai didn't feel any victory. She has been in a nightmare of loser after she lost Malik. One day, Varon appeard and challenged her to duel. Mai lost. She felt unsafe and afraid. In her mind, she was calling Jyoonouchi for help. Varon understood her. He offered his help to give Mai what she really wanted. Mai desired greater power, so she followed Varon.

Turn back to duel, with army of Harpy Ladies and attack formation, all monsters of Jyoonouchi are destroyed. Jyoonouchi has only 200 LP left and has no monster while Mai has 6 Harpy Ladies. Next turn, if Jyoonouchi is attacked, he will definitely lose. Jyoonouchi much cares Mai's feeling. He would like to help her, so he decides to give up. Yugi shouts to stops him while he is putting his hand on his duel disk. He activates Jyoonouchi to continue the duel if he really wants to save Mai. If he is a true duelist, he has to fight with his faith. Jyoonouchi understands and thanks Yugi for taking him back. He will continue the duel as a true duelist...
