ข่าวเกี่ยวกับออร่าประหลาดและปีศาจจาก Duel Monster Game กระจายไปทั่วโลก พวกยูกิต่างก็นั่งดูข่าวกันอยู่ในห้องพร้อมกับการ์ดมังกร Timaeus ที่ยูกิได้มาจากในฝัน ทุกคนต่างกลุ้มใจเพราะไม่รู้จะเริ่มต้นจากตรงไหนดี การ์ดเทพเจ้าก็ถูกขโมยแถมไม่รู้จะไปตามคืนที่ไหนอีก แล้วคุณปู่ของยูกิก็นำพัสดุมาให้บอกว่าส่งมาจากอเมริกา ทุกคนนึกว่าเป็นของจากโอโทงิแต่ชื่อผู้ส่งกลับเป็นบริษัท Industrial Illusion ซึ่งก็คือบริษัทของเพกาซัสในอเมริกานั่นเอง พวกโจวโนะอุจิต่างตกใจกันเพราะกลัวจะเป็นวีดีโอที่เหมือนกันตอนแรกที่ยูกิต้องเล่นเกมส์แห่งความมืดกับเพกาซัสอีก แต่ยูกิก็ยังยืนนันจะเปิดดู วีดีโอเป็นภาพเพกาซัสแจ้งข่าวให้ยูกิบอกว่าเรื่องที่ monster ออกมาจาก game นั้นตนที่เป็นผู้คิดค้นเกมส์นี้ขึ้นมาก็ไม่เข้าใจเหมือน แต่ตนมีเรื่องอยากจะให้ยูกิช่วยและขอร้องให้รีบมาอเมริกาด่วนซึ่งตนจะรออยู่ ยูกิตัดสินใจไปอเมริกาซึ่งทุกคนก็อาสาจะตามไปเป็นเพื่อนด้วยเช่นกัน ด้านคางะและริวซากิที่แอบใช้เครื่องดักฟังพวกยูกิอยู่ในห้องพอได้ยินข่าวว่าเพกาซัสเชิญยูกิไปอเมริกาก็คิดว่าคงจะตั้งใจมอบ Rare Card ให้แหง่ ทั้ง 2 คนจึงวางแผนจะแอบตามไปด้วยให้ได้

ด้าน Dartz ก็นึกถึงเหตุการณ์ตอนที่ฟาโรห์โจมตีกลับใส่ตนด้วยความนึกไม่ถึงว่าฟาโรห์จะมี Timaeus อยู่ในมือแล้ว ว่าแล้วก็เรียกนักรบทั้ง 3 ของตนออกมาเพื่อให้ไปล่าดวงวิญญาณของเหล่า Duelist มา อาเมลด้าเลือก Duelist ที่จะเป็นคู่มือของตนคนต่อไปคือไคบะเพราะตนมีบัญชีที่ต้องสะสางกันอยู่ ในขณะที่วารอนเลือกโจวโนะอุจิด้วยความที่ทำเพื่อผู้หญิงคนหนึ่งของตนเหมือนกัน ฝ่ายเพกาซัสกำลังวิตกนั่งรอการมาขอยูกิอยู่ที่บริษัทแต่ทว่ากลับปรากฎร่างของหญิงสาวที่ไม่ได้รับเชิญมาเยี่ยมเยียนยามค่ำคืนนั่นก็คือไมนั่นเอง

พวกอันซุ โจวโนะอุจิ ฮอนดะต่างก็เก็บข้าวของเตรียมเดินทางไปอเมริกาโดยที่ยังไม่รู้กำหนดการว่าจะไปนานแค่ไหน คืนนั้นยูกิดูการ์ดที่เพกาซัสส่งมาให้พร้อมกับวีดีโอคือการ์ด Illusion no Kagi หรือ Illusion Key ซึ่งก็ไม่รู้ว่าจะเป็นคีย์การ์ดอะไรอีกหรือเปล่า ยูกิสังเกตเห็นตัวเองอีกคนเหม่อลอยเหมือนกลุ้มใจอะไรซักอย่าง ซึ่งทั้งคู่จริงๆ แล้วต่างก็กลุ้มใจเรื่องเกี่ยวกับการเดินทางคราวนี้และก็เรื่องของเพกาซัสเหมือนกัน วันต่อมาทุกคนพร้อมกันที่สนามบินเตรียมพร้อมเดินทางด้วยเที่ยวบินส่วนตัวของบริษัท Industrial Illusion ของเพกาซัส ยูกิคิดว่าถ้าไปอเมริกาก็อาจจะได้เจอกับไคบะที่กำลังบุกเบิกตลาดเกมส์อยู่ที่นั่นก็ได้ คางะกับริวซากิก็ตั้งใจจะแอบตามไปด้วยโดยแอบซ่อนตัวไปกับกระเป๋าเดินทางตลอดเที่ยวบิน ทุกคนเดินทางมาถึงอเมริกาก็ขึ้นรถที่มารับแต่อันซุสังเกตเห็นกระเป๋าเกินมาใบนึงจึงแยกออกไปซึ่งเป็นกระเป๋าที่ใส่คางะกับริวซากิไว้นั่นเอง

ด้าน Kaiba Corporation กำลังประสบปัญหาอย่างหนักจากเหตุการณ์ที่ monster ออกมาจาก game และพยายามจะใ้ห้ข่าวว่าบริษัทตนไม่เกี่ยวข้อง และแล้วไคบะก็ได้รับการติดต่อจากเพกาซัสและท้าทายให้มา Duel ด้วยหากอยากรู้ความจริง ไคบะคิดว่านอกจากบริษัทตนแล้วคนที่น่าจะเกี่ยวข้องกับเรื่องนี้ก็มีแค่ผู้คิดค้นเกมส์อย่างเพกาซัสเท่านั้น แต่ตนก็ยังสงสัยว่าหลังจากเพกาซัสแพ้ยูกิแล้วหายตัวไปไหน ไคบะจึงลงไปชั้นใต้ดินหยิบ Duel Disk และ Deck ของตนมา และขับเครื่องบินบินไปที่ Duelist Kingdom กับโมคุบะเพื่อค้นหาความจริงจากเพกาซัส...

Pegasus's Invitation

News about the strange aura and Duel Monsters are starting to spread all over the world. Yugi and his friends are discussing about that in Yugi's room. They have no idea where to start learning about this. The only trace they have is the Timaeus card. Then Sugoroku comes in with a package from America addressed to Yugi. Everybody thinks that it came from Otogi. Anyway, the return address is Industrial Illusions, the company of Pegasus J. Crawford in America. Everybody is frightened because the situation of dueling in a shadow game against Pegasus may occur. Yugi still decides to open it. It is news from Pegasus, who also has no idea about the current situation of Duel Monsters coming out of the game. However, he has something to tell Yugi and also needs his help. Pegasus asks Yugi to immediately come to America where he is waiting for him. Thus, Yugi decides to go to America and all of his friends decide to do so as well. Outside of Yugi's room, Haga and Ryuzaki are eavesdropping into their conversation. They thought that Pegasus has invited Yugi to go to America to give him a large amount of rare cards. So they plan to follow them.

Dartz is thinking about when he faced the nameless Pharaoh. He hadn't expected that the Pharaoh had Timaeus. Also, he gives his orders to his warriors to get duelists' souls. Amelda chooses to hunt Kaiba's soul because he had a painful background against Kaiba Corporation. Varon chooses Jounouchi. He was doing something for his girl. The remaining target is Pegasus. At Industrial Illusion Company, Pegasus is getting anxious and looking forward to see Yugi. A shadow of an unexpected girl, Kujaku Mai, appears followed by the scream of Pegasus.

That night, Anzu, Jounouchi, and Honda are preparing their baggage for the trip to America. Yugi finds a card that came with Pegasus' package. It was an Industrial Illusions’ Key. Yugi has no idea if this key card may be something important and useful. He then notices that his other character (Yami Yugi) is very quiet and inactive. The reason was about this trip and Pegasus. In fact, both of them much worry very much about going on this trip. The next day, everyone is ready at airport. Yugi wonders if he might see Kaiba in America. This was a private trip using the Industrial Illusions’ plane for Pegasus. No one realized that Haga and Ryuzaki were following them by hiding themselves in the baggage compartment the whole flight. When they reached America, they continued the trip by a car from the company. Anzu noticed that there was extra baggage. Thus, the officer takes it out. It is, of course, the luggage holding Haga and Ryuzaki inside.

At Kaiba Corporation in America, Kaiba is in serious trouble if the monsters really came out of his technology. He tries to deny, saying that Kaiba Corporation isn’t involve with that situation. Anyway, he was contacted from Pegasus to have a duel against him if he would like to know the truth. Kaiba reminds himself that another person that could be related to this other than Kaiba Corporation may be the creator, Pegasus. He also wonders where Pegasus has been after losing to Yugi at Duelist Kingdom. Thus, he decides to go see Pegasus to find some answers. Kaiba goes underground and takes out his deck with all his cards. Then he prepares to fly to Duelist Kingdom with Mokuba to get the answers from Pegasus.
