3,000 years later, Pharaoh's spirit was back by living in Mutou Yugi's body. Having passed a lot of battle stages, he gathered all of important facters to recover his memory as Pharaoh. Everybody calls him Yugi, the name he shares with his original character. This is because he has forgetton everything about his past life as well as his real name. Nameless Pharaoh (Namonaki Pharaoh) has to return his tragic memory sealed inside a millennium puzzle. His real name is engraved as hieroglyphs characters, A-T-E-M-U (It could be read as either Atemu or Atem in Japanese), on a cartouche inside Pharaoh's tomb. |
He
is the real character of Yugi, a spirit sealed inside a millennium
puzzle. 3,000 years ago, he got the title of Pharaoh from his
father, previous Pharaoh Akunumkanon. His
responsibility was to protect the kingdom from the invaders
and destruction.
Then, the dark master, Zork Necrophidius, appeared to let the
world be in danger. Pharaoh sacrificed himself to seal both
his soul and Zork's soul inside a millennium puzzle forever.
Seto had never relized that Akunadin was his father. He usually looked self-confident and arrogant. Whatever he had faith in was power. and he believed that power could beat everything. However, he was very honest to the kingdom and royal family especially Pharaoh. In order to pretect them no matter what, he could use any kind of way even dark power. After see power of 3 gods of Pharaoh, he planned to get power over gods'. Then he accidently found that power sealed inside Kisara's mind in form of white dragon. If Seto would like to possess great power of the white dragon, he had to kill the girl. Of course, he didn't want to sell his soul to darkness, so he refused this murder. Anyway, he finally couldn't save Kisara from his father's hand. You can see how much generous the priest Seto is despite of his arrogent and calm character. |
High
priest has present life as Kaiba Seto. He was a holder of a
millennium rod having power to transfer Ka (People's spirit)
to be sealed in the ancient tablets. His father, the priest
Akunadin, was previous Pharaoh Akunumkanon's brother, so he
was Pharaoh's cousin.
Akunadin had never told Seto that he was his father because young Seto usually looked at him like a monster and looked scared of him. However, he later was controlled by darkness and chose to destroy the kingdom by himself. After resummonning Zork Necrophidius, he obtained a shadow power and became a dark priest. Anyway, he had never left his will to let his son become the king. As a result, he took over Seto's mind and body, controlled them to duel against Pharaoh Atem. |
An
old priest was younger brother of previous Pharaoh, Akunumkanon,
and Seto's father. Having translated magic book, he got it's
idea to create millennium items and gain their's power to protect
the kingdom from the invaders. Of course, he hadn't expected
the dreadful result coming later. After becoming a holder of
a millennium eye, he had been gradually controlled by darkness.
Dark power activated his stupid wish having his son become
Pharaoh or the king. In order to reach that purpose, Akunadin
planned to give Seto greater power than gods, a white dragon.

priest was a holder of a millennium Anhk. Many people belive
that he is present life of Shadi. By using his power, Seto
requested him to look through people's minds to find great
Ka.

his father hold it before.
Mahado was a magician. After becoming a holder of a millennium item, he had been sealed his real power until his final battle against the thief Bakura in Pharaoh's tomb. Though all of his power was released, it couldn't beat Diabound of the great thief. So, he sacrificed himself to beat Diabound and to become an honest servant of Pharaoh forever as Black Magician. |

priest was a holder of a millennium ring. It was amazed that
he was the spirit of Dark Magician, major monster card of Yugi.
That the thief Bakura invaded into previous Pharaoh's tomb
was his responsibility. So, he decided to destroy the thief
Bakura alone. However, he failed. With his spirit to follow
Pharaoh as an honest servant forever, he sealed his soul into
his Ka. Then the thief Bakura could get his millennium ring.

Beautiful
priest was a holder of a millennium Tauk. Her power was prediction
what was going to happen to the kingdom. However, she couldn't
predict the future of persons having the same power as she
or persons holding millennium items. At present, she is a character
of Isis Ishtar.
Bakura planned to gather the millennium items in order to gain dark power of Zork Necrophidius. By his powerful Ka, Diabound, no one even gods could beat him. |
Great
thief is a spirit of Bakura Ryoo at present. 3,000 years ago
when Bakura was young, he was a surviver from Kuruelna Village.
An innocent child was hiding himself and seeing his villagers
being slaughtered by Akunadin's army. So, he had detested Pharaoh,
the priests and the kingdom since then. Then he became a thief
to steal all treasures of Pharaoh especially millennium items.

Pretty
girl was a student of the priest Mahado. Her face looked similar
to Black Magician Girl. Of course, she was a spirit of it.
Mana was studying magic lesson from her teacher. After her
teacher'death, she gave a promise to herself to become a great
magician following her teacher.

Right
hand of Pharaoh was once a holder of a millennium Anhk. He
had served the dynasty since Pharaoh Akunumkanon's era. All
of the traps inside Pharaoh's tombs were designed by him. Of
course, he has present life as Mutou Sugoroku, Yugi's grandfather.
His soul was resurrectted to serve Pharaoh's soul inside Mutou
Yugi's mind.

Previous
Pharaoh was father of Pharaoh Atem. He had been a holder
of a millennium puzzle before it descended to Pharaoh Yugi.
He
was such a great and generous king who dedicated himself on
peace of the kingdom. In fact, he had no idea how millennium
items were created by his younger brother Akunadin. The thief
Bakura much hated him because he misunderstood that he would
have sent the troops to slaughter people in his village in
order to create millennium items.
The way to get a white dragon from her was to kill her. Although the priest Seto refused to do it, Kisara was killed by Akunadin who later was completely controlled by darkness. Finally, Seto had learnt that her great power came from her pure mind that would like to protect him. |
A
blue-eye and white-skin girl having great power sealed inside
her mind in form of white dragon. She was such a mysterious
girl. No one had an idea where she came from or how she obtained
a white dragon in her mind. Kisara appeared when the priest
Seto was hunting people's spirits;
in the city.
The villagers thought that she was a bad luck. A strange girl
with different skin and native would let the kingdom be in
destruction. Seto helped her from being attacked by the villagers.
She was secretly brought into the palace because Seto saw such
a great Ka having power over gods inside her mind. Seto and
Akunadin tried to prove her power by sending her into the battle
stage of the prisoners. They had expected that her Ka should
have expressed to protect herself when she was in danger. However,
Ka didn't appear when she was being done harm. It appeared
when she was unconscious and both she and Seto were in danger.

An
old servant took the priest Seto's command to figure out how
to straighten Ka of people. He tested the prisoners captured
from Ka hunt by sending them into the battle field. Then he
got the answer that Ka would be greater when the owners had
strong desire of surviving. Anyway, he was much amazed when
he saw such an incredible Ka, a white dragon of Kisara which
he had never seen. Also, he has a present life as Kaiba's host.

Servant
of Shadi was sent to lead Yugi and his friends to the memory
world inside a millennium puzzle. He is the current person
without any background or past life. Anyway, he later transforms
himself into a mystery man in a mask to help and support Pharaoh
in a memory world. When a mask is broken, he appears his character
of Shadi.
