Though the thief Bakura has an injury, he and Diabound still have enough power to continue the battle. He has accepted that power of the magician was powered up. No matter what, that he plans to kill all priests and Pharaoh to take all millennium items and to perform the dark ritual exchanging power with Zork. Both Diabound and the thief Bakura stand up again, ready to fight. The thief Bakura activates the crucial way. All dead spirits of Kuruelna people flying around the temple merge into his body and send their power to Diabound. The power of hatred is fused together and the thief Bakura changes the form of Diabound to its maximum level, then he orders Diabound to attack. Pharaoh Yugi is surprised that the thief Bakura didn't activate Diabound's camouflage ability. He tells Mahado to be careful for its hidden power. Because of the light shining down from the ceiling, camouflage of Diabound is useless. Anyway, Diabound's attack doesn't need that ability. Without the hidden trick, whoever gets first strike will prevail, so Mahado attacks with the full strength of his dark magic power. Despite this, it appears that Diabound is safe. The Magic power of Mahado was blocked because of the aura shield formed by dead spirits and as a result, a chance returns to Diabound. It counterattacks Mahado. The attack hurtles the magician against the pole. Pharaoh Yugi, his master, also gets hurt. Mahado's body seems to be unmovable. At this time, Diabound is going to continue attacking Mahado. Shada tries to help him by summoning his Ka but before he can use the millennium key to summon it, the thief Bakura's Ka protecting the millennium item tablet launches the beam straight to his back.
