A village of dead spirit

The priest Shada, Pharaoh Yugi and his soldiers have reached Kuruelna village, city of thieves. The spirits of the slaughtered villagers are flying around the village, full of hatred towards millennium items' holders. The Pharaoh believes that Bakura is somewhere within this ruined city. In front of the royal palace, a huge infantry is riding toward Kuruelna village. Jyounouchi is almost trampled upon by the troop. Honda reminds him that no one can see or touch him in this memory world. Everything will simply pass through him. Anyway, he draws the point of where they can find Bakura and Pharaoh Yugi. Jyounouchi had no idea what happened during his duel against Bakura. While he was being attacked, everything became dark and when he recovered, he found himself in the city. Bakura also disappeared. Jyounouchi couldn't remember anything during lost time. Bobasa explains that this world is a memory of Pharaoh. Darkness covers the world when his memory is gone. Hopefully, the Pharaoh is safe now because everything has returned to be normal. Everybody starts looking for Pharaoh Yugi again to accomplish their goal to find Pharaoh's real name. Honda suggests to find information in the bar following basic rule of RPG. Jyounouchi reminds him that this isn't a game.  It doesn't matter anyway, because little Yugi has already been in a bar. From there he heard a rumour that the Pharaoh is safe and he may have gone to the village of thieves.

The huge army is going forward to Kuruelna village. Shimon also comes and is much concerned about the Pharaoh, who is unable to summon gods because of losing the millennium puzzle to Bakura. The priest Seto intends to destroy the thief Bakura by himself this time, while the priest Karim worries if the Pharaoh is safe. Also, the priest Akunadin suffers to go back to the miserable village in his memory.

At Kuruelna Village, the Pharaoh wonders what kind of catastrophe happened to this city. A soldier comes to report that he has found a hidden door to an underground passage. Some soldiers are investigating it. The priest Shada reminds them to be careful because the thief Bakura may be there. The soldiers go downstairs and find an underground temple . The thief Bakura is there and ready for them. The spirits start attacking the soldiers viciously and their screams can be heard by Pharaoh Yugi and his Priest.  A soldier shouts to stop the Pharaoh from coming in because this place is full of intensely hateful spirits. The thief Bakura is amazed when he realizes that the Pharaoh is still alive. He challenges him to come beneath temple of dead spirits if he would like to get the millennium puzzle back. Shada stops him, telling him not to go and to wait for the other priests to arrive. The Pharaoh reminds himself about his father's word when he gave him the millennium puzzle. Whatever happens, he has to bring justice.  Pharaoh Yugi doesn't desire the death of his soldiers, so he decides to go down and face the thief Bakura. He intends to take his father's treasure back by himself. Bakura welcomes him and Shada to the hell. He lets them see a lithograph engraved in form of seven millennium items. The Pharaoh remembers that that is the tablet that is inside his memory. The thief Bakura explains that this tablet is linked to another world. Seven millennium items were created here by lives of people in Kuruelna village. The previous Pharaoh desired a great power, so he sacrificed innocent people for dark ritual. At this moment, the many spirits of the dead are full of hate and hungering for revenge against the royal family of the Pharaoh. Pharaoh Yugi is amazed. He doesn't believe what his father has done. Then, the thief Bakura lets the spirits attack Pharaoh and Shada. Both of them are unable to resist. The spirits surround their bodies and hurt them. The thief Bakura would like the Pharaoh to pay for his father's sins.  The Pharaoh feels very confused. He doesn't understand anything and would like to know the truth. Then, the picture of Mahado sealed in a tablet comes to his mind. Suddenly, the spirits are scattered from the Pharaoh. The thief Bakura is amazed when he sees a Magician of Illusion (Black Magician) appear to protect the Pharaoh. Mahado, the forever servant of the Pharaoh, is performing...
