A ripple of darkness

After beating the Pharaoh, the thief Bakura returns Kuruelna village with a millennium ring and a millennium puzzle. He places those items into the tablet at the village. The millennium eye is embedded with his evil mind. The rest of millennium items will be gathered to the tablet soon. What the thief Bakura desires is shadow power of Zork Necrophedius, then his next intention is to steal the world.

Back to the palace that was viciously attacked by the thief Bakura last night, the priest Seto commands his soldiers find where the Pharaoh is. The priest Shada has also disappeared similar to whatever occurred with a millennium ring. It is possible that the millennium items have already been taken by the thief Bakura. Now there are only four priests left. The priest Akunadin looks at the empty Pharaoh's throne and thinks about his son, Seto, who is motivating everyone by saying that Pharaoh must survive and come back soon. Akunadin thinks that in order to protect the kingdom, greater power is needed, the same as he once used when he sold his soul to darkness. Shimon asks Isis what she sees from her millennium tauk. Isis says that she sees many ripples of water uniting like a large wave that may lead to disaster. This is what reflects the future of the kingdom. Thus, they require someone to be a receptacle to contain the wave. While everybody is wondering about what Isis said, a soldier comes in and reports to Seto that the girl having the white dragon Ka has awoken. Seto tells the soldier to take the girl down to underground hall.

In a room, the girl has just finished her meal when a soldier comes in. She asks him what this place is. The soldier says that this is a part of palace's hospital. She has been asleep for four days, under the doctor's care who was ordered by Priest Seto. The girl has realized that a person whom she must thank is the priest Seto.

The priest Akunadin and Seto are talking while they are walk to the underground room. Seto tells his father that he has found a girl who possesses a great Ka, during Ka hunt in the village. In order to make sure, they will use a millennium eye to prove again. Akunadin says that the kingdom is going to decline rapidly if the Pharaoh does not return because the gods can't be summoned to protect the country. Seto says that because of that, they need to find a Ka having great power over even the gods. Akunadin adds that there is another important thing to remember. The person who controls that power will become the new Pharaoh. He must obtain greater power than previous Pharaoh having 3 gods under his control. Akunadin is thinking about his son who may become next Pharaoh in the future.

Both of them reach the entrance to underground room where all prisoners are held. A guide in form of old, short, fat man named Gebeluk leads them to a prison downstairs. Gebeluk says that it is first time he has seen the high priests visit such a terrible place like this. During Pharaoh Akunumkanon's era, this section was closed, thus, current Pharaoh has never known about this place. Seto asks him about the process of extracting Ka from the prisoners. "I would like to know how to increase Ka inside peoples' minds." Gebeluk tells him that from his experimental Ka becomes greater when a person containing it is tortured. In order to accomplish that goal, people have to be sacrificed. He leads them both to special seats to see his result. Seto is amazed when he sees two prisoners with giant Ka fighting against each other suspended above a field covered in sharp spikes. The loser will fall to his death. Gebeluk tells the priests that Ka of the prisoners was weaker until he increased them. Seto is very surprised that he can do that. First there were 10 people on battle field, they had to fight against one another without stopping for more than a day. Only the final winner will be released. So, what can increase power of people's Ka is desire of survival.

Then the soldiers bring the girl there. The ugly Gebeluk is very curious what level of great Ka she has. He thinks that there is some way to figure out...
