Yugi's classmate, a tough guy who gets in lots of fights. At first, he thought that Yugi was a wimp. Yugi taught him how important friend was. Now they are good friends. He is a lively character who is the origin of main words "Thing that we can see but we can't see, it is relationship" . Also, these words are used in various meanings as key points in the story.

Jyoonouchi has been developing his duel technique since he first joined Duelist Kingdom tournament. His role also became apparent since then. In order to get a reward for his sister's surgery, he tries his best to win the competition despite the fact that he supposes to be the worst Duelist or the beginner in the tournament. At present, he is such a great and real duelist under the 2nd rank of Duelist Kingdom tournament and the top 4 of Battle City tournament.
