He is a new character out off original comic. After Battle city stage, Yugi has to face a doom organization with 3 warriors. Dartz is the leader of the organization. He lets his warriors to hunt duelist's souls and god cards to gain those power.

10,000 years ago, Dartz was the king of Atlantis. He and his queen had lived in peace for a long time until one day Orichalcos power covered people's minds in his kingdom. His population even his queen were transformed into monsters. While Dartz was amazed by this situation, he obtained Orichalcos power into his right eye that changed his personality. Orichalcos power let him see his mission to resummon Orichalcos god. For this purpose, Dartz generated Orichalcos soldiers in order to hunt people's souls and sacrifice them for Orichalcos god. However, his plan was obstructed by his grandfather, Iron Heart, who asked the guardians of the earth for help to protect the world. Those guardians were the three legendary dragons. Also, Iron Heart joined with duel monsters and three legendary dragons to battle against Orichalcos god of Dartz.

Though many years has passed, Dartz hasn't left his mission to summon Orichalcos god. So he starts the present battle again to hunt the duelist's souls for his god.
