She is Yugi's classmate and childhood friend. Anzu is a self-confident character who has a great dream to go to America and become a dancer in the future. By upright and honest personality, she usually openly expresses her feeling and cares the others.

In fact, Anzu looks smarter in Duel Monster game than Jyoonoichi. However, in comic version, she doesn't express any duel stages. In anime, she can duel in any necessary situation. Her relationship with Yugi isn't much obvious. Anzu much cares and likes the other personality of Yugi or Yami Yugi. She is usually afraid that one day he is going back to his place.
