the next morning, yugi mutou wakes up. the spirit from the millenium puzzle was sitting on the nearby chair. his name was Yami. "good morning yugi" said Yami. "oh, good morning Yami" yugi replied. after yugi ate breakfast, he went out, walking too school. "hey yugi" said tea. Joey was with her. they all walked to school togeather. "hey tristan" said Joey. "whats up" Tristan replied. Duke was with him. they went into the class, and after about 7 hours all came of them came out. "that has got to bethe longest day of school ever" said Joey. "yeah, just like every other day" said Tristan. Yugi went to his house, and Joey went to his. "whats this" said yugi as he logged into his computer. joey said the same thing as he logged into his. "an e-mail from inudstrial illusions?" they both said. the e-mail said this -
the next day, Yugi and Joey talked at the park. "did you get that e-mail" asked joey. "yeah" yugi replied. "whatcha talking about" asked Tristan. he was with duke and tea. "we got invited to this tournament thingie" said joey. "a tournament?" asked tristan. "yeah" said yugi. later that night, yugi's telephone rang. "hello" said yugi. "yes. hello yugi. meet me at the domino park." said the man on the other line. "wait, who is this?" asked yugi. but the other man hung up. yugi put on his millenium puzzle, and went to the park. "kaiba?" yugi asked. "are you the one who called me?" "no yugi, i was called by another man. and if I have to wait another..." kaiba said. but he was inturrupted by a man. "hello kaiba and yugi" said the man as he came out of the shadows. "shadi? is that you" asked yugi. "what?" asked Yami. "hello my pharoah" said shadi. "yes it is I. and I must give you somthing" said Shadi. Shadi handed kaiba and Yugi an evelope. "whats in the envelope' asked Kaiba. "an extremely powerful creature said Shadi. 2 of the 4 gods of egypt." said Shadi. "but I thought obelisk, Ra, and Silfer the sky dragon were the gods of egypt" said yugi. "true. but these are the gods who watch over egypt from the world beyond this one. you see, in that realm, an orb was made which had great magical power. one time an evil man traveled to the world beyong this one, and took the jewl. he could not have held the whole jewl, so he took 7 shards. the God's were angered. and, with the help of the high priest, banished this man to the shadows using the remaining jewel. they used the 7 shards, with the help of 7 other men, to make the millenium items. to protect the jewel, they sealed it. the only way to get the jewel was to bring all 4 gods togeather. and the Gods were sealed into tablets. but, some years ago, a man by the name of Ranmyaku gave a tip to pegasus of the location of these secret tombs. he wanted to gain their power, but was forbidden to go into the tomb, as we knew he had dark ambitions. pegasus was obsessed with getting more monsters from egypt. pegusus created these cards, but they almost killed him. I took the liberty of guarding these cards." said Shadi. "ha! I don't have time to believe in Gods and magical items. but...I do believe in duel monsters, and these cards may be useful in the upcoming tournament." said Kaiba. kaiba walked away. "kaiba, wait" said yugi. "don't bother. he must come to terms with his past on his own" said shadi. yugi than transformed into Yami. "Shadi" Yami asked, "do you have the remianing 2 cards?" "I have one. Ranmyaku stole the other." said Shadi. "what? what if he gets the other three" asked Yami. "than he may use the power too engulf the entire world in the shadows. that is why I gave you and Kaiba cards. that way, i will be harder for him to gather all 4" said Shadi. Shadi than dissappeared. "I will see you at Duel City" said Shadi. later, at the day of the tournament, Yugi and joey prepared to board the plane. "sorry we can't come" said tea and tristan. "sure you'll be able to come" said duke. "since we got a lot of buisness from dungeon dice monsters, I'll treat you two and myself to come. also, I bought one extra one." "for who" asked tea. "serenity" said Duke. "oh thank you duke" said serenity as she hugged him. duke was blushing. "aw man, why couldn't I have bought her the ticket" thought tristan. "so we're all going" said yugi. "where's kaiba" asked tea. "probobly taking his big fancy kaiba corp jet or somtin." said joey. they boarded the plane and it went up into the sky. "we're off to duel city" said yugi next episode (yugi speaking) - we all go to duel city, and the new rules are explained to us. we have 25 duel points, and to make it to the finals we must get 100 DP (duel points)! but an old foe comes out, and targets joey. in the next epsiode of Yu-Gi-Oh! - Tournament begins! [ EP 2- Tournament begins! The Ambush from the Dark! ] "welcome all duelists" a man said by microphone. it was a new day, and yugi and company were all there. they saw some familer faces, such as mako,weevil, and espa roba. "I will now explain the rules of the tournament" he said. "we have worked with kaiba corp technology, to make new duelists. designed like the one's from battle city tournament, these duel disks differ." the man held up a duel disk. it looked like the previous battle city duel disks, except it was black, and had a screen atop where the deck went. "this screen" the man said "will hold your information. to win this tournament you must get 100 DP (duel points). you will all start out with 25 DP, and may bet them as you wish. but, the first 12 duelists with 100 DP will make it to the finals. also, all duelists will star the duel with 8000 life points" some other men handed out duel disks to all the participants. "wow" joey said "a whole new tournament. this is so exciting." "all duelists should check into the Duel Hotel. this is where you may rest, when night falls. the dueling will begin as soon as tommorow falls" an intercom said. they all went to the hotel and check in. the woman at the counter said. "duelists will be staying on the top 2 floors, and all the guests will be staying on the bottom two floors. duelists rooms are free, and the room for their 1 guest is free, but 2 of you will have to pay." "serenity is my guest" said Joey. "and anzu, you're my guest" said yugi. "what....so no one wants me" said Tristan in disbelief. "don't worry tristan, I'll cover for our rooms" duke replied. "thanks" said tristan. later that evening, they all went out for dinner. "this pizza is delicious" said joey as he and yugi scarffed down the food. "so are these burgurs" said tristan as he and duke scarffed them down. "are...are they always like this" asked serenity. "pretty much...well, atleast when they're not dueling" replied tea. they all went back to the hotel. "yugi...are you awake" asked Yami. "sure...I couldn't really sleep" yugi replied. Yami said "I could tell. you must be worried about the tournament." "yeah" yugi said, "but...I'm still worried about the card shadi gave us." Yugi looked at the card. it was blank and where the image would normally go, there was the millenium symbol (the eye). "I'm goin outiside. I need some fresh air" yugi said as he went out. he got outside and sat on a rock. "hey joey" yugi said. joey was also out there. "hey yugi, i guess you also needed some fresh air." than a bell rang. "guess it must be midnight" said yugi. "hahhahahaha" said a voice from the forest. "whose their" asked joey. "it is I you fool's, and now you will cower and fear" said the voice. than the shadowy figure came into sight. "Panik!" said Yugi. "I remember you" said joey. "well, Joey wheeler! now you will expierience my darkness first hand. for I challange you to a duel!" "Joey...be careful" said Yugi. "don't worry yugi" said joey. "I accept your challange!" "how bout we bet 10 DP" said Panik. they bagan the duel. joey pressed the button on his duel disk, to indicate he was betting 10 DP. the duel began. "losers first" said Panik. "shut up" said Joey. joey drew his 5 cards, and then drew for his turn. "I'll place one card facedown and summon Goblin attack force in ATK mode!" said Joey. "go panik." panik drew and said "I pla my extremely rare magic card 'extra summon'. if I pay 1000 life points (Paniks life points = 7000), I can summon 2 monsters this turn. so, I'll summon my shadow night (STARS/4 ATK/1800 DEF/800) and my revival jam!" the monsters holographic Image came out. shadow night was a warrior who looked like a shadow. "now I'll use my polymerization card to fuse them!" "oh no. a card as powerful as revival jam fused with another monster" yugi thought. "My new monster is 'Eternal Shadow Knight'! (STARS/5 ATK/2300 DEF/1200). now it's your turn." "that monster will be no match for my jinzo card." joey thought. I'll sacrifice my Goblin attack force to summon Jinzo" joey said. "now Jinzo, attack!" "fool" Panik said. Jinzo destroyed Eteral Shadow Knight until nothing remained except for particles. Panik lost 100 life points (PANIK LIFE POINTS - 6900). but then, Eternal Shadow Knight reformed, but had 2300 ATK points. "what happened" asked joey. "you see, when my monster is destroyed, It comes back with 300 more attack points! HAHAHHAHAHAAHAH!" "how...how can I win?" joey thought next time - hey it's me joey! I'm in a tough spot right now. Panik's monster won't let me ever destroy it. and, he plays a very powerful trap card. but when the duel ends, a certain spirit comes back and he's not happy. Next time on Yu-gi-oh! - PANIK'S ONSLAUGHT
[ Episode 3 - Panik's onslaught ] "How....can i win" joey thought. "it's my turn now" said Panik. "hmph. I grow tired of my Eternal Shadow Knight. so I'll play my de-fusion magic card" said Panik. "why would he play defusion...unless...he plans on summoning a powerful monster" yugi thought. "be careful joey" "now, I'll sacrifice my 2 monsters for my darkness mist monster." Panik said. "I don't see your monster" joey replied. that's because he only comes out when I attack. you see, my monster hates the outside world." Panik said. "It also lets me play trap cards straight from my hand, on your turn and mine." Joey drew a card. "not when my Jinzo is around." but than panik put a card from his hand onto the field. "on the contary, I'll use my spear of darkness. It works even if your jinzo is on the field! and It destroys one of your monsters!" the spear went through Jinzo and it was destroyed. "oh no" said Joey. joey than took a card from his hand, and placed it in defense mode, face-down. "your turn, Panik!" said an angered joey. Panik drew a card, and said "come my monster, and destroy this creature." the monster came out. it was a great beast that seemed to be made up of shadows (STARS/8 ATK/2900 DEF/2000). It destroyed his face-down monster, rocket warrior. joey than drew a card. joey smiled. "the card I drew will annihalate you. I've been thinking of this combo for a long time. I was gonna go easy on you, but now you've made me mad!" joey played the magic card, scape goat. but than Panik played his trap card, spear of darkness to destroy one of the goats. "you know Panik, I could care less" joey replied. "I'll play my all powerful 'token sacrifice' magic card. It will let me sacrifice my scape goats! so I sacrifice my three goat tokens to summon gilford of lightning. and since I sacrificed three monsters, It destroys all of yours! and you forgot to make your monster go away!" joey said. "oh crap! he's right" Panik thought. "Now Gilford attack Panik directly!" (PANIKS LIFE POINTS - 4100) "now joey has almost double paniks life points."darn you joey wheeler." panik said. panik drew and laughed. "I never got the joke." said joey. "dont worry, you wouldnt find it humurous." Panik replied. he placed to cards face down. joey drew his card. "I'll play my mystical space typhoon. and I'll destroy the trap card to your right." the trap got destroyed. "the fool didn't destroy my trap I'm going to use on him." Panik thought. "now gilford, attack!" joey screamed. "I activate my 'Great Wall of Defense" by paying half my life points! (PANIKS LIFE POINTS - 2050). It's a trap but acts like a monster. It has 10,000 defense points!" "oh no! It's too late for joey to call back his attack" Yami thought. "you lose 7,200 Life Points (JOEYS LIFE POINTS - 800)!" joey drew and played "Re Draw" which lets him discard his hand, and draw 5 new cards. "you'll never win no matter what card you get!" said Panik. "you know somthin Panik, youre not always right!" joey played monster reborn, to summon the baby dragon he just discarded. "now I'll summon time wizard. go time wizard, time roulette!" It worked, and Thousand dragon came about. "my wall can survive 10 millenias!" Panik declared. "now I'll play graveyard defense. It gives my monster 500 defense points for every card I discarded this turn, straight from my hand to my graveyard.now Thousand dragon has 4,500 defense points. I'll play sword and sheild next! It switches are attack and defense. and since your wall has no attack points, it's defense is 0. and for the final part, I'll play fairy meteor crush, so you'll lose life points when I attack!" joey said. his Thousand dragon attacked, and Panik lost 4,500 Life Points (PANIKS LIFE POINTS - 0000). "wow...joey won with the monster who brought him his 1st victory at duelist kindom." yugi thought. Joey now had 35 DP. "I've lost" said Panik is confusion. "yes, Panik. you have failed me." said a voice. than bakura came out of the bushes. "and for that you must pay dearly."
[ episode 4 - Come out! Horus the Ancient Dragon ]
"so, Joey had to duel that Panik freak?" tristan asked. "yeah. now he has 35 DP. I'll need to catch up. but, I wonder where kaiba's been" yugi replied. "who knows. he could be anywhere." tristan replied. out by the the shore of the island, kaiba stood atop a rock, looking at his new card. "I don't understan. I cannot see the cards picture, nor the name or affect. why...why did that egyptian lunatic give me this card." kaiba thought to himself. "seto kaiba" said a boy at the beach. "I heard you were a dragon expert. well, I am too. and I wish to see if I am good enough." "kid...you dare challenge I, the great Kaiba. I accept your challange, and will bet 25 DP!" "so, you are that sure of your victory. hmph. oh yeah, by the way I'm Ryu Tatsujin." said Ryu. "you may go first." kaiba said. Ryu drew his 6 cards and bugun. "now will you feel my dragon skills." said Ryu. "I play the magic card 'Dragon Summoning'. by paying 1500 life points (RYU LIFE POINTS - 6500), I can select one dragon card in your deck, and summon it to the field! so i choose your blue eyes white dragon!" "this kid may be a worthy opponent" kaiba thought. "and I'll play my magic card 'extreme speed'! It allows me to attack, even though I'm the first duelist going! so, Blue eyes, attack! with white lightning! (KAIBA'S LIFE POINTS - 5000). kaiba drew. "I'll play my magic card raigeki to wipe out your blue eyes. and I will also play one card in face down defense mode, and my magic card 'healing potion', which lets me heal 500 life points. your turn." Ryu drew, and summoned his Koumori dragon, and destroyed kaiba's face down monster. "I guess it is your turn" Ryu said. kaiba drew and smiled. "I summon my 'Cyber Stein'. and I'll use it's effect by paying 5000 life points to summona fusion monster, like blue eyes ultimate dragon! (KAIBA'S LIFE POINTS - 500), and destroy your kumouri dragon! (RYU LIFE POINTS - 3500). your move ryu." ryu was shocked, so he used his magic card 'dragon's flame'. "my magic card allows me to destroy all non-dragons, like your cyber stein. and now I'll play my magic card 'mask of paralysis'. whoever wears that mask cannot attack for 2 turns. I also play a monster face-down and a card facedown. your turn." Kaiba drew. "this card...this is that card. wait a miniute, I somehow know what it is now and how to use it. I can't see the picture or effect, but I somehow know. as if, the card was telling my mind what it is. I must see this creature, and jude it's power myself! and now that I know how to summon this beast, I will!" kaiba than smirked and said. "I will now summon a powerful beast. first I'll play 'cheerful coffin' to discard my 2 monsters from my hand." they were both blue eyes white dragons. "now I'll play 'de-fusion', and de-fuse blue eyes ultimate dragon to brign out the three blue eyes white dragons in my graveyard. now you see why I discarded blue eyes from my hand. and finally, I'll summon my most poweful beast, the 'HORUS THE ANCIENT DRAGON' (STARS/12 ATK/4000 DEF/4000), by sacrificing three dragons." "I've never heard of a HORUS THE ANCIENT DRAGON." thought Ryu. the blue eyes cards all went up ina stream of light, and out came a giant dragon, that stretched over the entire Island, in and out of the water many times. It must've been at least 5 miles long. and atop his head laid the millenium symbol. "what is that beast?" Yugi thought as he looked out his hotel window. "kaiba maust be dueling. that must be the card shadi gave him." Yami said. back at the dueling field, Ryu thought "no matter how strong it is, my traps will defeat it." kaiba than said "I'll activate HORUS THE ANCIENT DRAGON'S speacil affect by paying half my life points (KAIBA LIFE POINTS – 250) - Holy destruction." the dragon's eyes began to glow. "It destroys every card in your hand and field." "oh no" Ryu exclaimed. "oh yes. now, my dragon. attack with HOLY HELL!" and out of the dragon's mouth, a giant beam of light came pouring out and hit Ryu's life points directly (RYU LIFE POINTS - 0). the duel was over. "It was an honor to duel you Kaiba." ryu said, as he walked off. now kaiba had 50 DP. "I'm halfway there. now I see the power of the HORUS THE ANCIENT DRAGON. but, I still don't understand. how did I know how to use it. I shall find out...later." and kaiba walked away. next episode - hey, It's me, Tea. On the next episode, Shadi visits yugi again. but than, espa roba challanges yugi to a duel. and with 25 DP on the line, yugi cant afford to lose. on the next episode of YuGIOH! - SECRET OF THE GODS
[ EPISODE 5 - SECRET OF THE GODS ]

[ EPISODE 6 - IT IS SUMMONED! THE THOTH - HOLY MAGE OF EGYPT ] "what am I goin to do." Yami thought. Yami drew a card. "He cannot negate my magic and trap cards when jinzo is not recharged." Yami thought. "I'll play my 'level drop' magic card. it allows every monster in my hand to have its level decreased by two. that way, I'll summon my 'summoned skull'. and, I'll also play my 'Demon Boost' magic card. It'll let me give my summoned skull 500 more attack points. It's your move Espa." and Espa drew a card. "I'll skip this turn." Espa said. Yugi drew. "I'll play pot of greed." Yami said, and He drew two cards. "I'll place 4 cards facedown and summon my 'Junior Magician' (STARS/4 ATK/1000 DEF/1000). It's your turn Espa Roba!" Yami exclaimed. "fool, Now I'll activate my Jinzo Advanced's effect. wipe out all of his magic and trap cards." Jinzo did so, and Yami lost 5 magic/trap cards. Yami smiled. "I'll place one card face-down, and Now my creature, attack his Junior mage." but than, the attack went back at Jinzo Advanced, and Destroyed him. "what...what happened?"Espa said with a confused look." "whenever you destroy any of my magic or trap cards, for 1 turn, Junior mage gains 500 for each one. that way he was stronger than your creature. you also lose 500 life points. (EPSA LIFE POINTS - 7500)" Yami drew, and said "now, both my creatures, attack Espa directly!" (ESPA LIFE POINTS - 5000) Meanwhile, Tea, on top of that building, was worried. there were 3 brothers their all with a pocket knife. than, all of a sudden, tea punched one of the kids and that kid fell to the ground. "why you!" shouted the other brother, and they came at her with knifes from both sides, but tea ducked, and they hit each other, and got knocked out. "finnally, now where's the elevator?" Tea thought. Espa drew a card and played pot of greed. he than drew two cards and laughed. "ahahahahah! the end is near! for I play my magic card 'tribute to the doomed'. by discarding a card from my hand, I can destroy your summoned skull." and summoned skull was wiped out. "now I'll play my 'soul exchange to sacrifice your monster to bring out my regular 'Jinzo'. but thats not all, for I play my facedown card, 'an army of three'. when I summon a monster, I get to look at my deck for a copy of that monster. and If I find any, they get summoned to the field. so I summon my other three Jinzos. and now they'll all attack you directly (YAMI LIFE POINTS - 100) ha! you only have 100 life points. you cant win. but, it is still your turn." Yami drew and got a serious look on his face. "what is this. I can read the card, like it's telling my heart to play it and its telling me how and its effect.and, I think I can pull it off. first espa, I'll play my black magic cape, by paying half my life points (YAMI LIFE POINTS - 50). now my Dark Magician is here. and I'll also play my 'magic reborn' card. It lets me bring a magic card from either of our graveyards into my hand. and I'll pick your soul exchange. and finnaly, I'll play that card to sacrifice your three monsters, and my dark magician!" Yami declared. "what are you summoning." Espa cried. "A mage like no other! THOTH - HOLY MAGE OF EGYPT. (STARS/12 ATK/5000 DEF/5000)." "and now attack direct...." Yami said but than was inturrupted by Espa. "attack me, and Tea's dead. just one push of this button and she'll die." Espa said as he hold up a remote. "don't listen yugi." tea said as she walked out the elevater. "beat this punk." "Tea! I'm glad your alright. now my Mage, attack directly! (EPSA'S LIFE POINTS - 0). "how can this be." espa thought, as he fell. with 40 DP, Yami and Tea walked away.
[ EP 7 – SHADI DUELS! REVEAL THE THIRD GOD CARD ] It was a full moon night. A man was standing on the duel hotel. It was bakura. "Soon the time has come. I know the power of the 4 gods, and I will claim them all. That fool Shadi holds one, and I will claim his. Hahahhahahah! Now, from the depths of the shadows I summon thee." And bakura raised his hands, and a shadow appeared on the ground. And bonz rose up. "Bonz….if you obtain the god card from shadi, I will release you and your friends. But if you fail, you and your pathetic friends shall spend an eternity in a place worse than the shadow realm 10 fold. Now go, here is a duel disk, and an extra deck." So Bonz jumped off the building and ran. Meanwhile, in the forest, shadi sat on a rock. "I knew it was good for me to participate in this battle. The pharoah will need my help to defeat our foe…Ranmyaku. Wherever he may be." Just than, shadi looked behind him. "Child. I sense darkness within you." Shadi said. "I am a servant of my master, Bakura. He wishes me to defeat you." Bonz said. "Bakura?" shadi thought. "Well…maybe. I do have 75 DP. I’ll have this boy bet 25, so I may face Ranmyaku myself. And finnally see him." "fine then child. We’ll bet 25 DP." "very well." Bonz replied. "and the winner of the duel shall keep your god card." Bonz yelled. "so, Bakura knows of the god cards. Very well bakura, I’ll play by your rules." Shadi said. They began the duel, and shadi went first. "no monsters." Shadi thought. "I’ll play infinite cards." Shadi said. And shadi ended his turn. "very well." Bonz said, as he drew. "I’ll play my ‘zombrya the dark’. Normally, he could not attack directly, but when I equip him with the ‘anti-effect sword’, it cancels out his effects, and raises his attack by 400. so, Zombrya, attack directly. (SHADI LIFE POINTS -5500). Your move." And bonz ended his turn. "I’ll play my continuous magic card ‘double draw’. Every turn I draw 2 cards instead of 1." Shadi said after drawing his card. "I also play my magic card ‘scape goat’" shadi said as he ended his turn. Bonz drew and summoned his ‘hayabusa knight’ "my hayabusa knight can attack twice. So, hayabusa destroys both your scapegoats, and my zombrya destroys your other one." It was than shadi’s turn. Shadi drew to cards, and played another scapegoat. It was now bonz turn. Bonz drew, and played another hayabusa knight. "now my monsters, destroy all of his scapegoats." Bonz commanded. "now your wide open next turn." Bonz said. And shadi drew 2 cards. "now I play swords of revealing light." Shadi said. Than he ended his turn. Bonz skipped his turn. And shadi drew 2 more cards and played another scape goat. "the end is near." Shadi said. It was bonz turn, but he skipped again. Shadi drew two cards and skipped his turn. It was bonz turn, but he skipped. Shadi drew two more cards, and skipped his turn. Bonz drew and skipped his turn. Shadi drew two more cards. "next turn, I’ll destroy you." Bonz said. "there is no next turn! First I play one card facedown, and now you will die! For I play my God card – ANUBIS – LORD OF THE UNDERWORLD. To summon him I must discard every card in my hand. And for each card discarded, anubis get 1000 attack points. So, Anubis has 9,000 attack points. to keep him in play, I must destroy one monster at the end of my turn. But, before that, I’ll activate anubis speacil ability. For every monster I destroy, I can destroy one of yours. So I’ll destroy your three monsters by killing my scape goats. Now I’ll attack directly (BONZ LIFE POINTS – 0000). I win!" shadi said. "no…I failed bakura!" bonz yelled. "this is what happens when you work for the dark side." Shadi said. "you have failed me." Said a voice. And bakura came out. "now, I shall send you back. Its like prison with no bail. You’ll never be dead, but you’ll never be living either. You will just be…in pain…forever." And bakura millennium ring glowed. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Bonz screamed, as he was sent to the shadows. "farewell shadi. I shall see you in the finals." Bakura said as he went away. "the shadows…this evil is far more powerful than I feared. Oh my pharoah. Please bring victory to this planet. For if someone like bakura got a hand on a god, this world will be doomed. We must act quick, and defeat our foe." Shadi thought.

[ EP 8 – MAI’S COMEBACK! HARPY VS DRAGON ]
"so, did you here the news Joey?" Yugi asked. "eh, news? What news." Joey replied. Kaiba was sitting at the other table, alone. "that one person already made it to the finals!" Yugi exclaimed. Kaiba turned around. "what did you say?" Kaiba asked. "Kaiba?" yugi asked. "I said that one person already made it to the finals." Yugi said. "humph. "Then I don’t have time to eat breakfast with these other duelist fools." Kaiba said as he walked up, and left the room. "I must obtain 100 DP. Only 11 more duelist will be allowed to enter. And I must be one of them." Kaiba thought. "seto Kaiba!" a woman said. Kaiba turned around. "yes. Your mai valentine correct." Seto said. "of course! And in your tournament, I never got to battle you." Mai said. "well then mai, you should consider yourself lucky." Kaiba replied. "It’s the skills of the duelist that count, not his words! For I challenge you to a duel!" Mai said. "challenge me? So, I’m taking it you want to not make it to the finals." Kaiba said with arrogance. "can the chit-chat Kaiba boy! It’s time to duel!" mai said as she drew 5 cards. "very well!" Kaiba said as he did the same. "how bout we bet 25 DP on the match." Mai said. "good! The more DP for me." Kaiba replied. Kaiba said "losers first." And so mai went first. "I summon my ‘armored harpy’(STARS/4 ATK/1800 DEF/1000)." Mai said. "and place 1 card facedown. Your move Kaiba." Kaiba drew. "Still no Horus." Kaiba thought. "I summon my kumouri dragon, and place down my magic card ‘dragon’s might’. It raises all dragons ATK by 300." Kaiba said. "ha! He still doesn’t know my monsters effect." Mai thought. "first I’ll attack, destroying both our monsters, but than play my magic card monster reborn." Kaiba thought. "now my dragon, attack!" and kumouri dragon did so. But only kumouri dragon died. "whats this!" Kaiba exclaimed. "you obviously never met my ‘armored harpy’. When its in battle with a monster that has equal ATK points, it survives." Mai said happily. "nice move." Kaiba said. "but, I’ll play monster reborn to put my beast in defense mode. Your move mai." Kaiba thought. "I’ll activate my trap card, ‘Harpy call’. If I have one monster on the field that’s a harpy, I can summon ‘harpy’s pet dragon’ to my side of the field. Without sacrificing any monsters! And, he gains 300 attack points for sitting by a harpy, and 300 more because of your magic card. Now, my harpy will destroy your beast, and my dragon will attack you directly." Mai said with glee. And they did so. (KAIBA LIFE POINTS – 5400). "Its my move now." Kaiba said as he drew. "still no Horus." Kaiba thought. "I’ll play my rare magic card ‘sacrifice of the user’. Instead of sacrificing monsters, I can sacrifice my life points. for every star level a monster has, I must pay 500 life points. so, I’ll summon my ‘vampire lord’ by paying 2500 life points. (KAIBA LIFE POINTS – 2900) and that’s not all. I’ll play my magic card ‘rage’. For 1 turn, It raises my monsters attack points by 1500, for one turn. So, attack that dragon my vampire." And the monster attacked, and ‘harpy’s pet dragon’ was destroyed as mai lost 900 life points (MAI LIFE POINTS – 7100). It was mai’s turn. And she drew. "ha! Kaiba your vampire lord maybe strong, but it only has 3500 hundred attack points for now. So, I’ll play ‘elegant egotist’, and since ‘armored harpy’ is still a harpy lady at heart, I get three monsters. And now, I summon the ultimate Harpy, by sacrificing three monsters. The ‘Harpy Queen’(STARS/9 ATK/3000 DEF/2000). It gains 300 attack points for each harpy in my graveyard. Since I have three harpy’s in the graveyard, it has 3900 attack points! now my queen, attack the vampire lord!" vampire lord was destroyed. (KAIBA LIFE POINTS – 2500). It was kaiba’s turn. Kaiba thought "enjoy your harpy for now, for when horus comes to my hand! You will be defeated! Ahahahahah!"

It was kaiba’s turn. "I place 2 cards face down and put one monster in defense mode." Kaiba said. "go." Mai drew and said "now my queen, attack his monster." ‘Harpy queen’ did so, and destroyed kaiba’s monster ‘twin-headed behemoth’. It was kaiba’s turn, and his behemoth was back on the field. "when ‘twin headed behemoth’ is destroyed, it gets summoned again with 1000 attack points." kaiba drew and said "I activate my magic card, ‘soul release’, to remove your three harpy’s from your graveyard from play. Therefore, you queen has only 3000 attack points. And I also summon my Kaiser seahorse. your move mai." Kaiba said as he ended his turn. "there is no need to bluff kaiba. Its over for you." Mai said. "I’ll attack with ‘my harpy queen’" mai said. The attack was negated. "I activated my trap card ‘negate attack’" kaiba said. "then go." Mai said frowning. "AHAHAHHAHA" Kaiba laughed. "The end is soon." "what are you talking about." Mai asked. "Observe. My Kaiser Seahorse lets me sacrifice it, in place of two monsters. So I summon my BLUE EYES WHITE DRAGON! And, I’ll place a card facedown and switch behemoth to defense mode. Your turn mai, and make it count. It will be your last." Kaiba said. Mai drew, and ordered "Harpy Queen, attack his behemoth." "Ha! I activate barrier wall, which raises behemoth’s defense by 2500 for 1 turn. So, my monster has a defense of 3500, causing you to lose 500 life points (MAI LIFE POINTS – 6400) "darn you seto kaiba. Its your turn." Mai said. "how I play one of my favorite magic cards! ‘army of monsters’. It lets me pay half my life points to search my deck for monster cards. You see, I have one blue eyes on the field. This card lets me automatically summon the other 2." Kaiba got his two other blue eyes on the field. (KAIBA LIFE POINTS – 1250) "And now, you will be defeated. For I sacrifice my three blue eyes white dragon’s to summon my most powerful beast! HORUS – THE ANCIENT DRAGON! (STARS/12 ATK/4000 DEF/4000)" kaiba said as he laughed. "I’ve…I’ve never heard of that creature!" Mai thought. Throughout the Island, you could see the powerful beast, going in and out of the water. "now, I’ll pay half my life points to activate Horus’ speacil ability! (KAIBA LIFE POINTS – 625) it destroys every card in your hand and graveyard!" kaiba declared. "oh no!" Mai said, as she discarded her hand as her monster was destroyed. "oh yes!" kaiba declared. "And thanks to Horus’ other ability, all my other dragons recieve 2000 extra attack points. so, now I attack directly with Horus and my Behemoth (combined attack points – 7000)" (MAI LIFE POINTS – 0) "I….I lost" Mai said with disbelief. Kaiba now had 75 DP. Kaiba walked away. "only 25 more to go." Kaiba thought. Meanwhile, Joey was walking around the beach. Although Duel City was a big city, with a hotel, restaurants, a mall, and airport, it was also on an Island. "Man. I still need 65 DP." Joey thought. "I guess I’ll jus have to find more duelist-butt to kick." "Joey wheeler!" said a familer voice. Joey turned around. It was mako. "Oh hey! Whats up mako?" Joey asked. "at battle city, you defeated me. But at duel city, the outcome will be different. For I have new ocean cards, and you will be vanquished with them." Mako said with confidence. "so…your challenging me to a duel." Joey said. "that’s right! With 35 DP on the line." Mako replied. "35 eh? Alright then, let the duel begin!"

"I’ll begin this duel." Mako declared. "Darn! I have no monsters. Or any worthwhile trap or magic cards." Mako thought. "I’ll skip." Mako said. "a rookie mistake." Joey said. "I’ll play ‘card destruction’. So, we discard out hands, and pick up a new one." "good cards." Mako thought as he looked at his newly drawn hand. "I’ll play monster reborn to bring back the ‘hayabusa knight’ I just discarded. And summon another hayabusa knight. Now they can both attack twice, so quadruple attack! You lose half your life points (MAKO LIFE POINTS – 4000) . Your move mako." Joey said happily. "darn. I let joey gain the upper hand. Well, now he’s done for." Mako thought. Mako drew and said, "I’ll play my magic card ‘legendary ocean’." All of a sudden, joey and mako were submerged in a virtual ocean. "What is this?" joey asked. "my magic card places us in the legendary ocean, Atlantis!" mako declared. "not only that…but every water-monster in my hand loses one star level, and gains 200 attack points. so now, I can summon my ‘Orca – mega fortress of solitude’! Normally I would have to sacrifice a monster, but since my ocean card is in play, I don’t. So now, my Orca will destroy your hayabusa knight! (JOEY LIFE POINTS – 6700)" it was now Joey’s turn. " I place one card face-down, and summon my ‘axe raider’ in defense mode, and switch my hayabusa knight in defense mode. Your move mako." Joey said. Mako drew and said, "I’ll summon tornado fish, and use Orca’s speacil effect to sacrifice him." Suddenly, Orca swallowed tornado fish, and spit him back out at hayabusa knight. Hayabusa knight was destroyed. "Darn!" joey thought. "Now I’ll destroy your other monster, with Orca." Mako said. "nope, I activate my ‘puppeteer’ trap card. It switches your monster to defense mode until the end of your turn." Joey declared. Mako ended his turn, and Orca went back into Attack mode. It was joeys turn, and he placed one card facedown. "I sacrifice my Axe Raider for my monster, ‘warrior of a giant sword’ (STARS/6 ATK/2800 DEF/2000)." A monster came out, with a sword. It was struggling to pick it up. "Your warrior cannot even pick up his own sword!" mako laughed. "True! But, once I give it 1000 of my life points (JOEY LIFE POINTS – 5700), it can attack!" and the monster destroyed Orca (MAKO LIFE POINTS – 3500). It was mako turn and he drew. "I place a monster in defense mode, and end my turn." Mako said. "alright then!" joey said as he drew. "I’ll play ‘dimensional pass’, by paying half my life points (JOEY LIFE POINTS – 3350). For one turn, it lets my monster attack you directly. So, I’ll pay 1000 life points (JOEY LIFE POINTS – 2350), and have my warrior attack you directly (MAKO LIFE POINTS -700)." It was now Mako turn. Mako drew and said. "now, the end comes. For I sacrifice my monster to summon ‘Njord – God of the Sea’ (STARS/7 ATK/2800 DEF/2000). He gains 200 attack points because he’s a water type monster, but thanks to his effect, he gets an extra 1000 attack points. now, he will destroy your warrior!" and it did so (JOEY LIFE POINTS – 1150). It was joeys turn. "I’ll play my magic card ‘weak revival ritual’. It brings back 2 monsters from my graveyard, as long as they have 1000 attack points or less. I chose my 2 hayabusa knights. And now, I’ll sacrifice them to play ‘Thor – God of Lighting’(STARS/7 ATK/2800 DEF/2000). And, I’ll finally play ‘mystical space typhoon’, to destroy your legendary ocean." And the ocean was sucked up. They were both on dry land. "No!" mako screamed. "Yes! And when my Thor attacks a water monster, It gains 1000 attack points. Now Thor, attack Njord and end this duel!" joey said as his monster destroyed Njord. (MAKO LIFE POINTS – 0). The duel was over, and joey now had 70 DP. "That was a great duel." Mako said. "ditto." Joey replied. It was evening, and joey went back to the hotel for sleep.

"master Ranmyaku." A voice said on an helicopter. "we’re about to land on duel city." "excellent. You do have a duel disk secured for me with 100 DP correct. And there are my two servants to challenge yugi and kaiba. Ranmyaku said laughing. They landed on Duel City. "then end is near." Ranmyaku thought. Meanwhile, Yugi went to grasslands. "hey yami, maybe there will be some cool duelist here." Yugi said to yami. "maybe." Yami replied. Yugi continued to walk around. He saw many people dueling. It seemed that 2 people already had obtained 100 DP. "I still only have 40 DP. I’ll need 60 to get to the finals." Yugi thought. "and we still haven’t seen this Ranmyaku character." "Yugi, that’s the name right." A voice said. "Yeah, and who are you." Yugi said as he turned around. But then yugi recognized the face, Rex Raptor. "Yugi, I challenge you to a duel! I only have 35 DP, and need 65 more." Rex said. "A duel! Alright then, but I bet 35 DP also." "Ha! I saw Yugi’s duel with Espa. He needs to sacrifice 3 monsters, and a dark magician. But, my monster will make sure he doesn’t summon a dark magician." Rex thought. "I’ll make the first move, by summoning ‘Uraby’, and placing one card facedown." It was then yugi’s turn. "I’ll summon my Dark Blade, and attack your Uraby!" Yugi declared. "not so fast, I play my magic card ‘Dino-boost’, to give my Uraby 500 more attack! So, your monster gets destroyed, and you lose 200 life points (YUGI LIFE POINTS – 7800). It was now rex’s turn. "I’ll sacrifice my Uraby, to summon my all powerful ‘Dark Driceratops’. And I’ll attack your life points directly! (YUGI LIFE POINTS – 5400). It was then yugi’s turn as he drew. "I’ll play monster reborn to revive ‘Dark Blade’ and sacrifice him for ‘dark magician girl’. I’ll also give her the ‘Tome of Black Magic’, to give her extra attack points (DARK MAGICIAN GIRL – ATK 2700). Now, I’ll attack your Dinosaur!" dark magician girl attacked his Dark Driceratops and destroyed it. (REX LIFE POINTS – 7700). It was rex’s turn, and he said, "I’ll place one card facedown, and summon my ‘defense dino’ (STARS/1 ATK/0 DEF/0). To the field in defense mode. Your turn yugi." Rex raptor said as he finished his turn. Yugi drew and said, "my dark magician girl will destroy your creature." It attacked, but the monster was still standing. "defense dino lets me pay 1000 life points to negate your attack." Rex said. (REX LIFE POINTS – 6700). It was Rex’s turn, and he summoned a monster in face-down defense, and placed a card facedown on the field. It was yugi’s turn. "I’ll attack your defense dino!" yugi said, but Rex activated it’s effect again.(REX LIFE POINTS – 5700). It was rex’s turn, and he said, "I’ll summon my all powerful ‘Black Tyranno’. And I’ll play my magic card ‘negate attack’, to switch your magician into defense mode. And now I’ll activate my facedown card, ‘Shadow Spell’. It decreases your monsters attack by 700. and since your monster is in defense mode, and its your only monster, my Tyranno can attack you directly!" Rex said as it did so (YUGI LIFE POINTS – 2800). It was yugi’s turn, and he said, "I play my magic card ‘re-summoning’. It lets me sacrifice my dark magician girl, to summon a 4-level monster from my deck! So, I summon ‘Skilled dark magician’, and play swords of revealing light." And a small orb of light appeared around the ‘skilled dark magician’. "what’s that orb of light?" Rex asked. "You shall see soon!" yugi replied. It was now rex’s turn. "I’ll play my magic card ‘sacrificial tribute’. I can sacrifice my monster, to destroy any one of your cards on the field. So I’ll sacrifice my Tyranno, to destroy your swords of revealing light!" and it did so. "and now, I’ll play my polymerization to fuse my ‘Dinosaur Arms’(STARS/4 ATK/1500 DEF/1500), ‘Dinosaur Legs’ (STARS/4 ATK/1500 DEF/1500), and my ‘Dinosaur Body’(STARS/4 ATK/1500 DEF/1500), to make my ultimate dinosaur, Kyouryuu!" another orb went around the ‘skilled dark magician’. "since fusion monsters can’t attack their first turn in battle, I’ll end my turn. But Kyouryuu’s speacil effect still takes place. For at the end of all your turn, I can discard the top card of my deck to make you lose you’re your life points!" and rex did so, (YUGI LIFE POINTS -1800). It was yugi’s turn. "on my next turn it’s over for you!" rex said. "Ha! You have no next turn. For I’ll play my de-fusion card, to de-fuse your monsters. Now your Dinosaur Arms,Legs,and Body are separated (ALL THREE HAVE STARS/4 ATK/1500 DEF/1500)." On the field, their was two arms, two legs, and a dinosaur head atop a torso. Another orb of light came on ‘skilled dark magician’. "now, since my magician has three orbs of light, I can sacrifice him, to bring forth from my deck a stronger mage! The Dark magician!" yugi said as his monster died, but then Dark Magician came out. "now I’ll play soul exchange, to sacrifice your three monsters and my Dark Magician! Now, come out, THOTH – HOLY MAGE OF EGYPT (STARS/12 ATK/5000 DEF/5000). And I’ll activate its ability. I can search my deck for one magic card, and place it in my hand. So, I’ll bring out and use my magic card ‘Life Point Fusion’. It lets me pay half my life points (YUGI LIFE POINTS – 900), and raise my monsters attack and defense by however many life points I lost (5000 + 900 = 5900), and I’ll have THOTH attack you directly! You lose!" and yugi won the match, and had 75 DP. "you played good Rex, but in the end, I came out victorious." Yugi said as he walked away to the hotel room.
NEXT TIME – NEXT TIME ON YUGIOH, KAIBA IS CHALLANGED BY A MYSTERIOUS DUELIST. AND HE WANTS KAIBA’S GOD CARD, HORUS. THIS GUY HAS A GREAT NUMBER OF MECHANCIAL CARDS. AND IF THAT’S NOT ENOUGH, HES WORKIN FOR RANMYAKU! NEXT TIME ON YUGIOH – ALMOST THEIR KAIBA! DEFEAT THE MACHINE DUELIST!
[ EP 12 – ALMOSTER THEIR KAIBA! DEFEAT THE MACHINE DUELIST! ]
Yugi was lying in bed, but seemed worried, as he couldn’t sleep. "Is something wrong, yugi?" Yami asked. "Yeah. I mean, this Ranmyaku guy is supposed to be our new enemy, but we have not seen him, or anyone working for him. I mean, is he coming to this tournament?" Yugi asked. "Yugi. Something’s we must find out ourselves. These answers can only be found by looking deep within your soul, and trusting in your deck. Ask your heart, and it will show you the way." Yami answered. Yugi felt more calm, and went back to sleep. It was just before dawn, and kaiba was standing on the roof of duel hotel. "I only need one more prey, and then I’ll go to the finals. I just heard that 2 people have made it, and I must be one of the next 10." Kaiba thought. A bell rang, meaning it was sun-rise, and the start of a day of dueling. Kaiba went down to the ground, and walked around. Their were many duelists, but none worthy of kaiba. But than, as kaiba was walking, a man stood in his way. "move it you fool!" kaiba demanded at the man. The man was wearing a black, hooded, sleeveless jacket, with the hood down, a white t-shirt, and blue pants. He had 2 bracelets with the millennium symbol on it. But, despite what kaiba said, he did not move. "No priest seto…or, as seto kaiba as your known these days. I challenge you to a duel. The winner, getting your Horus card." The man said. "I accept your challenge, and bet 25 DP!" Kaiba replied. The man said, "very well! You may go first. Oh yeah, by the way, I am the one known as Kikaiyuza, the machine master!" kaiba drew. "I’ll summon vorse raider in attack position, and place one card facedown. Your turn Kikaiyuza." Kaiba said. Kikaiyuza drew, and said, "I’ll play ‘change of heart’ to take control of vorse raider. And I’ll attack you with it, directly!" but than kaiba activated a trap card ‘Kamikaze Robot’ and said, "my trap lets me summon a ‘Kamikaze Robot’ (STARS/1 ATK/XXXX DEF/0), in attack mode. Its attack is equal to your monsters attack, so both of our creatures die." Kaiba explained. It was now kaiba’s turn, but before kaiba could move, Kikaiyuza inturrupted "kaiba….do you believe in destiny?" kaiba replied, "Ha! Destiny is only for fools. I decide my past, present, and future!" "ah, kaiba. I was once a naïve fool like you. Thinking that I control my life, and everyone else controls theirs. Until Ranmyaku showed me the truth, that our lives are predetermined by a enigma-like force we call destiny. He showed me that it was my destiny to learn about destiny that night. I finally understood." "only fools believe in that nonsense." Kaiba said. "you are still the naïve fool you were all your life. You control nothing kaiba. For you see, it is your destiny to say what you just said, it was your destiny to run kaiba corp., it was your destiny to be defeated by yugi mutou, it was your destiny to obtain Horus, and it was my destiny to explain this all to you. For you see, this force called destiny determines all, before you would even think about doing what destiny had determined for you. That is why if you have the power of destiny, you know all. What has happened, what is happening, and what will happen. That is how I know you will lose to me, for destiny has determined that." Kikaiyuza said. "oh how touching. Your just like Ishizu and Shadi. I could care-less what you think, all I know is I you will not get me involved. This is a duel, not a speech about destiny. So, be prepared to lose. Because, according to your belief, it is your destiny!" Kaiba said as he drew his next card.
