[ Chapter 1: Raven meets the Pharaoh ]

WHOOSH! A rather large girl flew through the forest. She had deep violet eyes. Her hair was tri-colored and spiky. She looked like the Pharaoh but wasn't even related to him! Her name is Raven. She is thirteen years old. Raven was being perused by a boy named Francis. He loved to chase her around and try to capture her. She had the most graceful movements and her attacks were strong, very strong. Raven zipped through the trees, like a gazelle running from a lion. She zoomed out of the forest and into the city. High into the clouds she flew ... with Francis still behind her.


Meanwhile... Pharaoh was walking with his friends. Anubis, the jackel-headed god of the dead granted the Pharaoh his own body. He returned to the real world in triumphant glory. Yugi, a young spiky-headed teen, walked next to him. Joey, a Brooklyn born American, walked on the other side of him. Seto Kaiba was a new addition to the group. Mokuba Kaiba, his spunky, mischievous brother, walked next to him. Tristan and Duke had both moved to America.
Serenity Wheeler, Joey's younger sister trailed right behind him. Then there was Tea. See poor Atem didn't like Tea but she followed him almost EVERYWHERE!
"Guys, why don't you go on to my place I'll catch up OK? " Atem said with a loving smile on his face.
"Okay Atem!" Yugi shouted. Atem was like an older version of Yugi, but Atem was an Egyptian Pharaoh. He ruled over 5,000 years ago. Yugi gave him the last name "Moto" and is considered Atem's younger brother. Atem is eighteen years old. The gang left him to explore the city.

suddenly, raven flew from the clouds and onto the street poor, clueless Atem was on. People stared in amazement as she flew through the street. They had never seen a girl fly before without and airplane. but just fast as they were interested, they went back to work. Raven tired, scared, and weak looked behind her to see if Francis was still there. He had gotten lost in the clouds. Se lost him! She did it! But she wasn't looking where she was going and banged her right arm on the corner of a building. She was falling, heading straight for Atem.

As if on cue, Atem turned around and grabbed her by the waist. He took her in his warm, gently arms and got down on one knee. Her eyes opened gently. she awoke to find that he had taken her into his own home. Her arm was black from the impact. It was wrapped up. A tall looking boy walked into the room and sat next to the bed. He looked just like her the only thing is that his hair went up, and hers grew down. He put his face to hers and discovered she had awakened. He touched her cheek tenderly.she looked up and stared into his violet eyes
"where am I? " she finally said.

[ Chapter 2: A new friend ]

"You're safe...... with me" said the boy, who looked as though he had been awake all night. He put her in an upright and comfortable position. She winced in pain as he moved her.
"Owww!!!!! That stings! she cried in excruciating pain.
"Sorry" he said, now trying to move her a bit more slowly.
"That's okay. It's my fault I'm in this mess"
"Huh? How are responsible for ......" The boy tried to finish his sentence but to his surprise she had gotten up! She had gathered enough strength to get up, but was still in bad condition. Her breathing was heavy and sounded like she was gasping.
"Maybe you should lay back down" the boy urged.
"No. I'll be okay" she lied. She knew her condition was bad, but didn't want him to worry about someone he didn't know. She gazed at the sun for a long time, frowning. She didn't want to endanger the boy or his family and friends..... she needed to leave, but she couldn't. She was glued to that spot, to afraid to move.
"Oh, I was so worried about you, I didn't even tell you my name. I'm Atem" said the boy.
Raven hesitated before answering him. "He was worried .......about me ... no one has ever been worried about me." Finally she answered.
"I'm Raven."
"Wow, that's a nice name" Atem said politely. Raven blushed as he said this. Usually, boys were mean to her. They called her names and laughed at her. He asked if she would like to meet the others downstairs. She nodded, hoping when she did they wouldn't ask were she was from.

[ Chapter 3: I'm not little anymore! ]


Atem put her unwrapped arm around his neck, and put his arm around her waist. He pushed her body against his own so she could support herself. Raven for the first time she was there, smiled. She liked this boy's act of selflessness.
"Thank you" she said while planting a tender kiss on Atem's cheek, causing him to blush uncontrollably. She giggled at the sight of this. He had turned a deep ruby red. Finally returning to his senses, he helped her walk downstairs. Atem's friends were waiting for him to come, but not with her. They were all overjoyed to see she was all right and intacted. Atem lead her to the couch were he slept, because she was in his room. Raven, looking fully awake and alert, now didn't sit. She actually started glowing a fiery yellow.
"BREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" she hummed as she slowly healed herself, turning her black arm back to it's dark tannish color. ( A/N Raven is Egyptian/Japanese. She was born in Egypt though.) When the process was complete she felt great and smiled wide showing her sharp, vicious teeth.
"Ahhh, I feel much better now!" She was able to walk by herself again and her breathing was normal again. Everyone stared at her, but she didn't mind, she was used to it. Yugi broke the silence.
"Hey, how did you do that" he asked clueless and confused.
Because he spoke all of a sudden, Raven panicked and got nervous causing her to Mountain Cat ears and her tail to pop out.( A/N Raven is part Mountain Cat and part Wolf. Her cat ears and tail pop out when she's nervous, scared or whenever she wants them to. Her wolf ears and tail pop out when she is sad, angry and whenever she wants then to as well.)
"Oh no" she said quietly to herself.
'"What the heck are you supposed to be" Tea said laughing at her really loudly. Raven had a flashback of when this happened before.

Bully 1: Catgirl! Catgirl! Does Catgirl want some milk and cream?

Raven: Stop it! It's not funny. Just leave me alone!

Bully 2: Or what! You're gonna scratch us with your claws? You're pathetic!

Raven: No I'm not! (whispering) No I'm not.

Raven was only four. Now she was eighteen. She scowled at Tea as she laughed at her. Then without warning, she jumped and kicked Tea in the face, causing Tea's nose to bleed. Tea staggered back in pain. The impact was to great.
"Why the hell did you do that for?" Tea screamed at her.
"Because you are no different from the rest of the world. It was people like you that made more than half my life miserable. It isn't fun to be teased just because of what I am."
"Then what are you then. Please tell us."
"I a half demon. Half human and half demon. Then I'm half Mountain Cat and half Wolf. I'm also known as a double halfa. Everyone made fun of me because of this. And obviously, you are no different."
Atem and the gang except Tea knew what it was like to be teased. They all felt sorry for her. Everyone in the school liked Tea. Atem finally spoke.
"Tea, why would you do something like that? Just because you have never been teased doesn't mean others like it. So personally, I think you deserved that kick from her."
Everyone agreed with him.

[ Chapter 4: Meeting the Guardians ]

"FINE, I"M LEAVING" Tea shouted scaring Raven even more, causing her to run to Atem's side. Tea noisily stormed out the door. Raven looked confused and scared so she stayed by Atem.
"Are you okay?" Atem asked her. He didn't startle her though, he tapped her shoulder to get her attention first, then spoke. She nodded at his question. These people were they nicest she had even been with. They treated her they way she wanted to be treated...normally.
"Wow a half demon! You could do a lot of neat things can you?" Joey said. Raven nodded at his question, trying to be modest as can be. Then it hit her.
"Oh no! Oh no! Oh no! oh no! Oh no! I totally forgot about them. I haven't feed them yet and they need the fresh air. Oh geez!"
"What's the matter" Atem asked hoping she was all right.
"Huh? Oh it's nothing...... what am I talking about it's bad really, really bad. They have to get out starting with you."
They gang stepped back. Raven took a pure white ball (A/N sorta like a Pokeball.) from her deck holder. She threw it at they ground.
"ELEGANTOMON, come on out!" A gorgeous, pure white creature appeared from the ball. The creature was big, REALLY big.
"ELEGANTOMON!" it shrieked in a high pitch voice showing it was feminime. this creature weighed in about 400 pounds! It had nine beautiful tails that were elegantly groomed. (A/N ELEGANTOMON is a demon version of...... Ninetails!)
Raven took the clueless, and unhappy creature by the collar and to everyone's surprise it followed her, still looking unhappy. Raven nudged the creature. It new that command by heart. It meant "introduce yourself, it's okay I'll bring "him" out next.
"Hi. I'm Elegantomon, the elegant demon." And with that stretched out its out it's nine tails. The boys being gentleman kissed what ever tail was handed to them and Serenity shook it, being the lady.
"Now?" Elegantomon pleaded
"OK now. Flamearokomon! Come out! you two too! Yama and Bonerangomon!"
Flamearokomon was a huge demon that looked as though he came from a volcano. Over 50% over his body was I flames, making everyone afraid to touch him. He looked like a giant flaming wolf and looked like he was a bully, but his smile showed he wasn't.
"I'm Flamearokomon, the spitfire demon," he said in a deep voice showing he was masculine. Elegantomon was rubbing his side but wasn't getting burned.
"He only burns the untrusted." Raven said." He won't burn the others because they're friends and he won't burn Elegantomon because he is in love with her. They've been planning to have a family for a long time now." She continued. Then Yama spoke up.
I'm Yama, the elegant demon." Yama was of the same breed as Elegantomon. She stood by a nerve-racking demon. This demon had a skull on it's head that still had the fangs on it. He held a huge bone in his hand and the end of his tail was covered in sharp spikes. He also held a bone in his hand. (A/N Bonerangomon is a demon-like....Marowak! ) he approached with caution and a frown (if you could see it under the skull) and said,
"I'm Bonerangomon, the lonely demon." He was somber and sad.
"What's wrong" Atem asked politely. The demon looked up at him.
"Oh nothing. I always look somber and sad," it replied.
"Oh........ummmmmmmmmm...............OK then." Atem replied, still thinking something was wrong. Yama was on top of Bonerangomon's back, but that didn't bother him. Atem sensed something between the two of them. He hadn't noticed until now that Raven had wandered next to him again. He turned his head so no one could see him blush.
"Goooooooooooo Waterterroromon and Iceaterrormon!" Raven shouted calling out the last two demons. Now Atem's arm and her arm were touching and they had somehow locked hands. They were holding hands! Atem to startled to move didn't say anything and Raven hadn't noticed until she felt someone's fingers cuff tight to her hand. Yugi and they gang hadn't saw and the demons were to busy playing with the Yugi and them. As soon as Raven saw, she let go and he did too. She felt a strange feeling in her heart that she had never felt before. He felt a warm feeling throughout out his body when she held her hand. They both liked the feelings. I order to keep them, they decided to hold hands again, this time by choice. Raven planted another small kiss on his cheek. Atem again turned his head so no one would see him blush. He allowed her to put her head on his shoulder. He put his head on top of hers. They were feeling the sensation of................ love.

[ Chapter 5: We were meant to be ]

Those two wanted to talk privately, so they went into Atem's room. No one suspected anything, not even the demons. Atem walked to his room, while Raven flew. Atem sat on the bed, with Raven right behind him. Raven talked to him about what happened to her as a child. She was taken from her parents for no particular reason and given to uncaring parents who hated her because of her demon heritage. She cried as she said this. She didn't like how she grew up. Atem held her up to his chest. She could hear his heart beating. The beating of his heart quickly lulled her to sleep. He laid her down, locked his door (as he does when he goes to sleep) laid down next to her and said quietly, in a voice she couldn't hear "I love you." He fell asleep with her in his strong, protective arms.


They awoke the next day. Raven was the last of the two to awaken. They rest of the gang with the exception of Atem had gone on a school field trip. Atem had already finish High School. When she woke up, she noticed Atem wasn't there, but she could still feel his warm body against her. "Why do i feel this way about him.....he's just a boy...no he's the only MAN I have ever been comfortable with. I think I have fallen in love with him...but he might not feel the same way about me...but that's the feeling I get when I'm with him...love... I love Atem. She thought. Atem had left some clothes on the dresser for her to wear. I love his selflessness she thought remembering yesterday when he helped her walk without her asking. She took a shower and got dress. She didn't mind wearing what he wore she already dressed like him. She flew downstairs. He was in the kitchen making breakfast.
"Good Morning, Raven. Sleep well last night?"
"Yeah, thanks for the clothes too. You really didn't have to lend me them." He stared her in the eyes.
"I wanted too." They both ate breakfast smiling at each other and talking with one another. After washing the dishes, with a little help from Waterterroromon, they suddenly had their strange feelings again. Only this time, they were stronger because they were alone (Waterterroromon had gone back into his ball). They inched closer and closer to each other. Their gazes never left each other. Atem put his arms around her waist. Raven put hers around his neck. their faces inched closer and closer. Both sets of deep violet eyes focused on the other lips. Atem, slowly moving in, was the first to say his feelings for her.
"Raven."
"Yes, Atem," said Raven, who too was slowly moving in.
"I said this last night but you were asleep when I did."
"What is it, Atem. What's wrong?" said Raven, who had stop moving in now, with face full of concern.
"Nothing. Except that I love you."
"You do? Well, I love you too, Atem. And I have since I first saw you. I knew I had fallen for you, because of your selflessness, and that you were the only boy that cared for and about me. That's why I love you, Atem."
"I love you, Raven because of your smile and beauty. We may not have known each other to long, but I can see that we will never part. I had fallen in love with when you gave me that one, tiny kiss, on the cheek. That alone made the spark in my heart. That spark grew every time I looked at you and it grew into a mighty flame. Your the first girl...*ahem* the first WOMAN I have ever felt comfortable with. And that is why I love you." They sped up a little bit. Finally their lips met.



Chapter 6: Francis's Revenge


Their kiss was long............and serious. It seemed to last forever, but only lasted until the others got home three minutes after it began. They broke away from each when they heard voices and acted as though they had been talking with each other the whole time.
"How was your trip, Yugi?" Atem asked when the gang made their way to the kitchen.
"It was good" said Yugi
"Interesting" said Ryou and Bakura (A/N anyone who has a Yami is separated from them and had their Yami purified) "Great, if you like looking at a bunch of dead guys" said Joey who was talking about the Ancient Egyptian exhibit.
"Nothing we didn't already know" said Marik and Malik (Yami Marik).
"Fine, I guess" said Kaiba and Mokuba. Kaiba chaperoned the event.
"Cool" said Serenity.
"The best thing ever was the Egyptian exhibit it was great, fabulous, wonderful, magnificent, stupendous thing ever!" said Tea who was drooling over Atem...again. Atem swatted her away from him. She left his side for a second and came back crying dramatically and hugging him saying
"Oh! I missed you so much, I thought I'd never see you again! WAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!"
Everyone sweatdropped. Atem looked into his love's eyes. She knew he wanted her off of him. Raven stepped forward.
"What do you want, Catgirl?" said Tea in a sneering, despicable voice. Upon hearing that name once again, Raven simply said to her,
"Bye-bye." And with that she made the peace sign on each hand and placed each sign horizontally on her forehead. Then, with all her might sent a HUGE energy blast that sent her packing.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Everyone was laughing.
"Wow. That had to hurt" Yugi said to them, laughing as hard as he possibly could.
"Now that was the most funniest thing we have ever seen!" exclaimed Ryou and Bakura.
"Do it again, do it again!" cheered Joey.
"That was funnier then sending people to the Shadow Realm." Malik said to them.
"That was awesome" shouted Marik
"She had that one coming" Kaiba remarked. His brother nodding in agreement.
"Wow! That's girl power!" said Serenity. Atem smiled and nodded at Raven.


But suddenly..... Raven was encased in a cage with an extending arm. The cage was bouncing around because Raven was trying to get out by ramming it. When who should appear but...Francis.
"Stop struggling you fool. You'll only make it worse," sneered Francis. But Raven kept on trying. This made Francis extremely mad.
"This will teach you insignificant fool!" Francis yelled. He pressed a button on a remote that made the cage light up in electrical sparks. Raven's limp body lay in the cage. She was still conscious, just hurt. Suddenly, a huge flame came through the kitchen door. This gave Atem time to free and save his one true love. Raven knew it couldn't have been Flamearokomon. He was still in his ball. A shadowy silhouette was their only clue. A look of horror ran through Francis's face.
"No, it can't be. You're dead"



Chapter 7: The Return of Fireterror and YamiRaven

"Think again" said the figure. Everyone was huddled together. Ryou with Bakura protecting him. Mokuba with his brother, Kaiba. Serenity with Joey. Yugi with Atem, and Raven shielding him from any attacks that may come. Even Malik was covering Marik with his cape to keep him safe.
"Please step into the light so we can see you" Raven asked trying not to anger the mysterious person. The figure did as it was told. Raven was overjoyed of who she saw. It was her long-lost sister. She had claws for feet and hands, but she could still pick things up though. Her claws couldn't bend properly, nor could they separate from each other. But that changed when her sister started glowing. She became Kaiba's height and her claws could now separate. She looked like her sister but was taller, had claws for hands and feet, and was much more vicious. Plus her eyes were wider with a black outline around them. (A/N Raven's older sister has the eyes of a Celebi if you don't know what a Celebi is go to Pokemon.com and click on Pokedex, then on the search type in Celebi.) Francis had changed as well. Now her towered above her and was more powerful. He tried to step on her, but she always caught his foot. Now he transformed into a 4 story dragon and burned down their home. Raven created a force field around everyone to protect them.
"Hey sis, do you think you can hold him of while I take care of something." Her sister knew what she meant. She nodded in agreement and led Francis into the Forbidden Forest.
"Who was that" everyone asked Raven at the same time.
"That was my sister. She is going to hold him off while we go get our "weapons.""
"Weapons?"
"You'll see when we get there, OK?"
"OK." Raven led them deep into the Underworld. There were millions and millions of boxes. Each box had a pendant in them. The pendant held the person's Ka. Raven went room from room till everybody had there Ka boxes. Then all of the Ka spirits came out to see their owners. Yugi locked eyes with a giant eagle known as Aquilamon. Seto was holding a little, playful four-eyed fox named Firefoximon. Ryou looked into the eyes of a fearsome armored wolf named Metalgarurumon. Bakura stared into the eyes of a winged horse called Pegasusmon. Joey was playing with Stingmon a bug-like human. Serenity adored Lilymon, her flower-like Ka. Marik loved Wargreymon a dinosaur-like creature. Malik loved his Ka Metalwargreymon a deep, dark, mysterious Ka. Mokuba was pleased with his Ka, Exveemon. Raven grabbed her sister's box, only it was not filled with Ka it was a spirit that could help her in battle. The Ka spirits along with the pendant were absorbed into their owner's body.
"Raven, those are our 'Weapons"" Yugi said referring to the Ka spirits.
"Yes, Yugi those are our 'weapons"" Raven answered. Raven led them into a shrine room were they saw the biggest shrine any of them have ever seen. In big letters was the name ATEM. This was Atem's shrine. It was gorgeous. It was silver with different colored gems on it. The sides had golden lining on it, and the curtains surrounding it were silk and lace. Next to his shrine was Raven it was smaller them his, but had the same design.
"Why are our Ka's so far from the others" Atem said concerned and confused.
"They are Legendary Ka" Raven said trying to keep him calm. They walked to their shrines and opened them. Atem had two pendants, while Raven had one. They grabbed their pendants, watched them get absorbed into their bodies. They exited the Underworld to find Raven's sister, Haven, in a puddle of blood. She had been badly injured by Francis. Kaiba offered to stay behind and take care of her. Kaiba stayed behind while the other left to find and fight Francis. Deep in the soul of Atem lie two mysterious forces. A fiery, flaming wolf called Fireterror and the spirit of the world YamiRaven.
