[ Yu-Gi-Oh!
Return of the Shadow Realm ]
Story By Emma Blue Eyes
New Characters:
Emma – friend of Atem and she holds a powerful modern Ka – Blue
Eyes Shining Dragon
Balthazar – servant of Zork, wants revenge on Atem and friends.
Yugi Motou, only sixteen years of age, was in his room, looking
at the stars through his window. He had tried to get to sleep,
but each time, he had woken up with tears of sadness welling,
and great loss felt in his heart. The reason, it had been five
months ever since, Atem, Yugi’s dark spirit of the Millennium
Puzzle, had passed onto the Underworld, to rule as the rightful
Pharaoh.
Yugi missed his friend greatly. So did Yugi’s friends, who also
knew about Atem: Tea, Joey, Tristan, Bakura, Serenity and Kaiba.
Well… Kaiba was not exactly a friend.
Atem had been a Pharaoh 5000 years ago, but a great evil came
forth and Zork had tried to destroy the world. But Atem sacrificed
himself to seal Zork and his soul into one of the seven Millennium
Items...the Millennium Puzzle.
Yugi received the unsolved Puzzle after his Grandpa had been
to Egypt, and set about to solve the Puzzle. It took a long
time, but he finally did it and Atem’s soul was released and
used Yugi’s body as a vessel.
At first Yugi did not know about Atem, but gradually over time
he learned more about the spirit. Soon they became the greatest
of friends. Atem and Yugi had been through Duelist Kingdom,
Battle City, the terror of the Doom Warriors, the fun of KC
Grand Prix and then through the Memory World of Atem. You see
Atem had wiped out his memory when he trapped himself in the
Puzzle. So Battle City and the other Duel Monsters tournaments
after held important factors to get his memory back. Duel Monster
was based on the Ancient Egyptian Shadow Game, but you used
cards instead of stone tablets. One of the factors was the three
Egyptian God cards – Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon
and the Winged Dragon of Ra. They were the key to open Atem’s
Memory World.
After Atem had recovered his lost memory and defeated Zork for
good, he had to battle Yugi and this battle decided if he should
stay or go into the Afterlife. Atem lost the duel and went into
the afterlife.
“Atem, please come back…” wept Yugi.
“I’ll be here always, you can’t see me, but I’m here,” came
a gentle voice – Atem!
“Atem? You’re here?!” exclaimed Yugi.
“Yes, but only for minute, there will be a surprise soon, but
you have to be patient.” said Atem.
“When?” asked Yugi. No answer.
“Atem?” called Yugi. There still no answer. Atem had gone, or
it was just an illusion.
Yugi fell into bed and finally went to sleep.
In Egypt, at the site of where Atem’s fallen tomb lay, a golden
light was emitted, and seven golden balls of light came from
the ground…
In Domino High, Yugi was sitting with his chin in his hand,
reading about science. Joey was just in front of him, Tea to
the right, Tristan to the left and Bakura behind. Kaiba was
nearer the back.
The teacher entered and said that there was going to be a Maths
test in five minutes, and everyone groaned. Yugi did not pay
attention. He was thinking about hearing Atem’s voice last night.
“Hey Yugi?” asked Joey, “You OK?”
“Yes, I’m OK.” replied Yugi.
Tea wondered if Yugi was thinking about Atem. She too missed
him, and had fancied him, but she had to remind herself that
he was a dead spirit, who was now away from the dangers that
they all faced in this world.
Yugi was still the Duel Monsters Champion, but he did not seem
to enjoy the game as much as he used too. The past few months,
Yugi seemed to get more miserable all the time.
The Maths test was set and the class was quiet for about twenty
minutes, until an Assistant came into the room and asked the
teacher to go and meet the Head Teacher.
The teacher left warning that if anyone disturbed the class
was going to get extra homework.
As soon as the teacher walked out of the class, than Joey started
talking about a new Duel Monsters Tournament, set to be held
in Tokyo, and was going to be held by Industrial Illusions –
Pegasus’s company.
“Where did you hear about it Joey?” asked Tristan.
“On the radio while walking to school. I have a mini radio with
me,” and he pulled out the small silver box that had three black
buttons.
The class door opened. Joey hastily put the radio away, and
continued his work.
Yugi was wondering about the tournament, if Atem was here, he
would say go and join in.
The class door opened again, and a long brown haired girl walked
in. All the boys gaped at her. She was very pretty. She had
flawless white skin, and blue eyes, deep blue eyes.
“Ah, you must be Emma Amenhotep?” asked the teacher.
“Yes I am.” replied the girl and she smiled, “Where do I sit?”
“You can sit behind Tea, over there.”
“Thanks.”
She walked to the desk and she did not seem to mind the boys
staring or the girls’ scowls. She must have been used to that.
The bell than rang about half an hour later after more maths,
the class almost fell asleep because it was so boring. Yugi
and the gang go up and introduce themselves to her.
“Hi, I’m Joey.” offering his hand. She shook it.
“Tristan.” who blushed as his hand was shook.
“Tea.” and she smiled in return to the girl’s.
“Yugi.” and he smiled too at the girl.
“Hiya, nice to meet you. My name is Emma Amenhotep, and I’ve
moved here from Egypt.” said Emma. “Are you Yugi Motou? The
Duel Monsters champion?”
“Yes, I am…” stammered Yugi.
“It’s an honour to meet you.” said Emma, “and you, Joey, you
are one of the Battle City Four?”
“Yes,” said Joey, blushing.
“An honour to meet you too.” she smiled.
“That’s only due to some luck,” said Tristan. Joey went red
and tried to strangle Tristan. Tea slapped both and said behave
yourselves, what are you showing to Emma?
The boys hung their heads.
“So, you come from Egypt?” asked Tea.
“Yes, though many don’t believe it because I have white skin.”
Emma laughed.
“Really?” asked Yugi.
“Oh, don’t worry I’m used to those comments.” smiled Emma.
“Why don’t we show Emma around?” suggested Tristan.
“Good idea.” said Joey.
All lunchtime, the gang showed Emma around the school, and
introduced her to many new friends. Most of the boys gaped at
Emma as she was very pretty. Some of the girls however showed
jealousy towards her. But she ignored them and smiled at everyone.
She was very friendly.
At the end of the day, Emma was walking down to her house when
the gang caught up with her.
“Where do you live exactly?” asked Tea.
“I live a few houses from the shop called GAME.” she replied.
“Hey, that’s where I live,” said Yugi, “would you like to see?”
“Sure.” said Emma.
They walked to Yugi’s shop. His Grandpa was in the shop, dusting
shelves. The door opened and he saw Yugi, and his friends come
in with a pretty girl.
“She must be new here.” thought Grandpa.
“Hi, what can I do for you?” he asked.
“What kind of games do you sell here?” asked the girl.
“Oh, all sorts.” said Grandpa, “Why don’t you ask Yugi, he knows
the shop well enough.”
“We sell all kinds of games,” said Yugi. “What kind of games
are you into Emma?”
“Oh, all sorts.” Emma smiled. “You are Yugi’s grandpa?”
“Yes I am.” said Grandpa and he shook her hand.
“Are you a duelist yourself?” asked Yugi.
“Yes I am, and I am going to join the tournament set in Tokyo.”
Emma said happily,
“I am dueling for a loved one which I lost a long time ago.”
and she went quiet.
“Well it’s about time you went home Emma, because I have a few
things to do and the shop will be closed for the night. You
ALL go, except you Yugi, you stay and help.” said Grandpa.
“OK, I’ll see you at school.” Emma said to the gang. She walked
out the door, and tears fell down her cheeks, “He looks so much
like him…” thought Emma, and she hurried to her home.
Later that night, around midnight, Yugi had a nightmare, well
a warning dream. This is what happened. Yugi was standing in
front of Atem’s tomb, and he saw seven balls of light emerged
and fly away. Yugi flew to see where they went. The balls of
light stopped outside an oasis. He landed on his feet and saw,
seven items and an evil laugh resounded.
“What’s going on?” thought Yugi.
Then he saw seven people holding an item each, and he recognised
one of them…
“Atem!” Yugi shouted.
Atem did not turn around, but went forward and chanted something.
A great hole was opened and the people all threw the items down
there were it closed again to stop any evil being born into
this world.
Yugi then saw a girl standing near Atem and she was glowing
blue. But she looked like… Then she was engulfed in a bright
white light and a dragon appeared, but it was in shadow so Yugi
did not see it. The dragon’s mouth glowed with a blue flame
before it was shot towards Yugi…
Yugi woke up sweating. He did not like the dream, but he had
a very bad felling…
Next day, Emma met the gang at the school gates.
“Hi, would it be OK if I go to your shop today Yugi?” she asked.
“Sure.” said a sleepy eyed Yugi. He had been up half the night,
trying to figure out the dream he had. He wondered who the girl
was in the dream.
“Settle down class!” yelled the teacher. “Today, we will study
the hieroglyphs the Ancient Egyptians used, in everyday and
important day to day activities. This ties in which our project
on Ancient Egypt.”
“Great, squiggles.” said a crossed eyed Joey.
“You forget Duel Monsters started in Ancient Egypt.” said Bakura.
“Yugi, can you tell us a little about what you know about glyphs,
as your grandfather used to do Egyptology.” said the teacher.
“Well…um…well, they don’t have vowels…and there were no spaces
between the words…um…sorry, that’s all I know…” Yugi muttered,
blushing in the process.
Emma raised her hand.
“Yes Emma?” said the teacher.
“There was only 1% of the civilisation who could read, some
who could write, and about 3% who could do both. The Old Kingdom
had about 1000 glyphs to decipher, while the Middle Kingdom
had about 2000. Then the New Kingdom had as many as 2500 glyphs,
some which were rarely used. That decreased to 1000 after the
Nubians took over, then increased during the Greco-Roman period.”
replied Emma.
The whole class was quiet. Everyone was staring at Emma, who
blushed.
“Well, that was very informative Emma,” said the teacher, “and
you learned this from where?”
“I read a lot. I have books about Egypt. And others too.” she
replied, and flicked her long hair. (The boys drool, while the
girls show hate).
At lunch, boys clustered around Emma, trying to impress her.
She was trying to get away from them, and the gang had to step
in as it almost got out of control. One of the boys had grabbed
her long hair and said he just wanted to feel it when Joey grabbed
him by the collar.
“Let her be, or face Me.” growled Joey.
“Ok…..Ok…” whimpered the boy as the others started to back off.
“Are you Ok, Emma?” asked Tea.
“I am fine, don’t worry I get this sort of thing all the time…except
that you are the first to actually help me…” she said.
“What!?” exclaimed Tristan, “You mean this has happened before?”
“Yes,” said Emma, looking sad.
Kaiba walked past and said hello to Emma. Joey looked as if
he was about to go after Kaiba, and Yugi had to hold him back.
“Kaiba, you’re dead meat!” muttered Joey.
“Is that Seto Kaiba, your rival?” asked Emma.
“Yep, but he does not talk to me often as I am still world champion.”
sighed Yugi.
“Anyway, he is just an annoying Rich Boy.” said Tea.
“Hey! That’s my line.” said Joey.
“Looks like she’s has taken for herself.” winked Tristan.
“That did it!” said Joey and he knocked Tristan over.
Emma giggled, “Are they always like that?” asked Emma to Yugi
and Tea.
“Always.” was the reply.
Lunch ended 20 minutes later. The gang all went to English class,
which was so boring, that everyone was on the point of falling
asleep after the lesson.
However, halfway through the lesson, the Assistant came in and
asked if Emma could see the Head Teacher.
Everyone glanced at her and she slowly walked out the class
to the Head’s office.
“Quiet at once class; get on with your work right now! Or do
you want more homework?” asked the Teacher. No one was listening
to her.
“What’s going on?” asked Bakura. “Could it be something really
bad? Maybe she’s got into trouble…”
“No idea. Seems weird though, to be called out in the middle
of a lesson.” replied Joey.
“Maybe it’s just a message that she needs to be given from her
parents?” suggested Tea.
“Or she could be getting told off, if it was that boy at lunch,
I’ll nail him.” said Tristan, cracking his knuckles.
“Maybe…” said Yugi, “but why…”
The whole class went silent, as a scream emitted. It was so
piercing that everyone freaked out.
“What was that?” said Bakura.
“Don’t know, but we’re gonna find out.” said Tristan, and he
got up and walked out of class. The rest of the gang followed.
The teacher did not even try to stop them as the scream had
scared everyone almost senseless.
The gang ran to the office and Joey opened the door. They all
gasped with shock, as Emma was on the floor, crying her eyes
out and screaming with misery, while the Head and his Assistant
tried to calm her.
“Emma made that noise?” said Yugi.
Emma looked up. “Oh – o-o-oh, guys…”
What is it?” asked Tea. The Head spoke.
“Unfortunately, her parents were killed in a train crash, while
on their way to work this morning. She says she has no other
relatives in this place except Egypt, but they all have big
families, and couldn’t take her in.”
Everyone gasped and showed sympathy towards Emma, who got up,
and dried her sapphire eyes.
“Where do I go?” she whispered.
“Why don’t you come and live with me?” asked Yugi. “We have
a few spare rooms, so I am sure Grandpa will let you stay until
your family comes to pick you up.”
“Thank you.” she whispered.
Grandpa came to the school and picked up Emma to take her home
to Yugi’s home.
Yugi came in after four, which was when his school finished,
and he asked Grandpa if Emma was OK.
“The poor child, she’s completely miserable.” Grandpa replied.
“Yeah, it was sad to see her like that.” agreed Yugi. “What
did she bring…”
”She only has one suitcase and a small back pack – that’s all
her belongings.” said Grandpa sadly.
“I am going to see if she’s OK” said Yugi and he went up the
stairs before Grandpa could object.
Yugi went to the bedroom next to his and knocked on the door.
A quiet “come in.” was heard and Yugi went in.
He saw the suitcase filled with white dresses and other white
clothes. He also saw the back pack which contained a few books,
games and personal items. Yugi looked at Emma.
“This is all you have?” asked Yugi in amazement.
“Yes. My mum and dad bought me lots of stuff which I did not
need. They were only trying to buy my love at times.” she replied
sadly.
Yugi looked around the room as Emma continued to unpack. His
eyes came to rest on a white studded belt, which looked a lot
like his duel belt. He picked it up.
“Is this your deck?” asked Yugi.
“Yes, you can have a look and tell me what you think. It took
me almost a year to make it. Some of the cards are very rare
and hard to get these days.” she smiled and flicked her hair.
Yugi blushed and looked at the deck. He saw a Dark Magician
and Dark Magician Girl. Those cards were very rare.
He kept on looking at the deck and saw a good balance of magic
cards and monster cards, some which had very good effects. He
saw a Kuriboh and smiled.
“Is your deck a power deck? Or does it have a theme?” asked
Yugi.
“It is not a power deck and I don’t think its themed either.”
replied Emma as she hung up her lovely white dresses in the
cupboard.
Yugi kept on looking until the last three cards. He actually
yelped with shock.
Emma had three Blue Eyes White Dragons in her deck. Only Seto
Kaiba held the only Blue Eyes cards in the world. Yugi turned
slowly around to Emma who was gazing at him.
“Are these yours or Kaiba’s?” stammered Yugi.
“They’re mine. I took them to a lot of card shops and they all
confirmed that the cards are 100% authentic. They are not fakes.”
Emma said.
“How did you get them?” stammered Yugi.
“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.” replied Emma.
“Yes I would.” said Yugi.
“OK,” said Emma, and flicked her hair. “An old woman had been
mugged, and I went over to help, but the mug came back. I had
been to Sai lessons, so I got two sticks and totally nailed
the guy. He dropped the purse and ran off…”
“What’s Sai?” asked Yugi.
“An Ancient Egyptian martial art. Very accomplished. Anyway
the guy dropped the purse and ran off. The woman said thanks,
and gave me three cards wrapped up in gold silk. She said do
not open them until you get home. I looked at the silk wrapping
and looked up to ask why…but she had gone. She just…disappeared.
It was weird, but I took her advice and waited until I got home.
When I opened it I saw the three Blue Eyes and the Ultimate
Fusion card. I did not believe it at first, but all the shops
I went to, said the cards were not fakes. And that’s how I have
ended up with those cards.” she finished.
Yugi gaped with shock. He could not believe his ears, and he
decided to ask Grandpa about the cards. Emma said yes.
Yugi ran down the stairs.
“Oh, Yugi, I need to go to the shops for me.” said Grandpa,
“and…what’s wrong?” he asked, concern in his eyes.
“Well...” mumbled Yugi, “its just that…Emma…Has three Blue Eyes
in her deck.” he said very fast.
“Pardon?” asked Grandpa. “Did I hear you right? Three Blue Eyes?
That’s impossible.” he said smiling. “Stop joking…”
“I DO have three Blue Eyes in my deck.” said Emma, who was just
coming down the stairs. “Would you like to see them?”
Grandpa stared open mouthed, as Emma handed him the cards. He
looked at them from every angle.
After ten minutes he handed them back.
“Well, I’m impressed. Where did you get them?”
“I’ll tell you later.” called Yugi as he and Emma made for the
door.
“Where are we gong?” asked Emma.
“Well, we’ll meet up with the gang and go to Kaiba Land. It’s
been a while since I’ve duelled.” replied Yugi.
“Busy? Or upset?” asked Emma.
“Busy.” said Yugi, but he blushed.
20 minutes later, Yugi, Tea, Tristan, Joey, Bakura and Emma
walked to Kaiba Land. It was about a mile from Yugi’s place,
but well worth it.
“Wow!” exclaimed Emma, as she saw the huge duel arenas, and
all the games based on Duel Monsters. She was most impressed
by the white marble statues of the Blue Eyes.
“Cool init?” asked Joey.
“Yeah, to tell the truth, I’ve never been to a place like this
before.” said Emma.
“Really?” asked Tea. “Well, we’ll show you what we like then
we can go and have fun!”
For an hour they all went round and played video games. Boys
from their school tried to get Emma’s attention, but she just
ignored them. Tea and Emma tried a dancing game, and to the
gang’s amazement, Emma was as good as a dancer as Tea.
Then they had a small snack and they went to the duel arenas.
There were five in total and three were on so far.
“Wow.” said Emma as she saw a Dark Magician made its attack
on a Baby Dragon.
“Yeah, this is where we practise.” said Joey.
“You can never practise too much.” smiled Yugi.
“That is true.” said Tea, “I wonder…”
Tea’s words were cut short as Duel Arena three’s losing opponent
started to swear and curse the young lad who was beating him.
The kid looked scared.
“Right! That’s enough! I gonna batter you until you beg for
mercy…” said the thug, and he jumped from the arena and made
his way towards the boy.
“Oh, my..” said Tea, Joey and Tristan were ready to jump the
guy, but a flash of brown hair told the gang that Emma was going
to get him first.
“HEY! Why don’t you pick on someone your own size?” asked Emma.
The thug looked at her and his eyes gleamed.
“Well, what a pretty bitch. Do you wanna play wi’ me?” he smiled
in a perverted way.
“Not quite. I challenge you to a duel. If I win, you say sorry
and you never come back again.” said Emma.
“What if I win?” asked the thug.
“Then… you get me for a date.”
Everyone gasped. Yugi jumped in saying he’ll duel in place of
Emma but she refused to be scared by the thug.
Both duel stations rose up to the arena and the life points
were set at 4000.
“DUEL!”
Emma drew the first card, marking the start of her turn and
the duel.
“I play one monster in defence mode and end my turn.”
The Thug drew his card.
“I summon Celtic Guardian. Attack!” he yelled.
(Celtic Guardian: Warrior: 4: Earth: ATK 1400: DEF 1200)
“You have attacked the Dragon Dwelling in the Cave! And so
you lose 600 Life points.” said Emma.
(Dragon Dwelling in the Cave: Dragon: 4 : Wind: ATK 1300 :
DEF 2000)
“Damn!” snarled the Thug. “I end my turn by placing this card
face down.”
Emma drew. “I summon Regenerating Mummy in Attack Mode!”
(Regenerating Mummy: Zombie:4: Dark: ATK 1800 : DEF 1500)
“Attack his Celtic Guardian!” The Thug lost another 400 life
points.
The Thug drew. “I activate Pot of Greed!”
(Pot of Greed: Normal Magic: Draw 2 cards from your deck.)
“I play this monster in defence mode and end my turn.”
I have to admit, Emma is doing pretty good against this guy,
she’s got him down to 3000 life points so far.” commented Tea.
The others nodded. Yugi thought, “Will she use her Blue Eyes?”
Emma Drew. “I summon Double Coston in Attack Mode!”
(Double Coston: Zombie: 4 : Dark: ATK 1700 : DEF 1650)
“Regenerating Mummy, attack!”
The Thug sniggered. “You have attacked Man Eater Bug!”
(Man Eater Bug: Insect: 2: Earth: ATK 450: DEF 600 – Flip:
destroy one monster on the field {regardless of position}).
“Nuts.” said Emma. As her Dragon Dwelling in the Cave was eaten
by the insect.
“You have no monsters, Double Coston Attack directly!”
The Thug lost 1700 life points. His total at the moment was
1300 life points. Emma still had 4000.
The thug drew. “Activate 3 Hinotatmas!”
(Hinotama: Normal Magic: Inflict 500 points of damage to your
opponent.)
“Oh no!” everyone cried as three fire balls all Struck Emma
individually, bringing her life points down to 2500.
“Then I activate my face down card Monster Reborn on your Dragon
Dwelling in the Cave.
(Monster Reborn: Normal Magic: Select one monster card from
either you or your opponent’s graveyard and place it under your
control. This is considered a Special Summon.)
Emma drew her card. “I place one card face down and end my
turn.”
“Come on Emma! We’re with you.” cheered Tea and the gang.
The Thug drew. “I sacrifice your Dragon to summon Summoned Skull!”
(Summoned Skull: Fiend: 6: Dark: ATK 2500: DEF 1200)
Yugi thought, “Oh no, Emma…”
“Attack her Double Coston!” Emma lost 800 life points. Her total
was 1700, slightly higher than the thug’s.
Emma Drew. “I place one card face down and put my Mummy in defence
mode.”
The thug drew. “Summoned Skull, Attack!”
“Not quite.” said Emma “Activate face down card – Mirror Wall!”
(Mirror Wall: Continuous Trap: Decrease the ATK of all you
opponents attacking monsters by half. You must pay 2000 life
points during each of your standby phases. If not this card
is destroyed.)
“What the…” said the thug, as a huge mirror covered Emma’s
monster.
“Mirror Wall cuts your Summoned Skull’s attack points in half.
And since its weaker now than my Mummy’s defence, you lose 250
life points.”
The thug snarled and cursed as his life points went down to
1150.
Emma drew.
“What is keeping you?!” exclaimed the thug. Yugi thought, “Is
she gonna summon…”
“First I place a card face down and destroy Mirror Wall. Then
I play Reflective Bounder in Attack mode. I switch my Mummy
to attack mode and end my turn.”
(Reflective Bounder: Machine: 4: Light: ATK 1700 : DEF 1000)
“That’s real risky.” said Joey. Everyone agreed.
The thug drew. “Summoned Skull Attack!”
“You’ve activated my trap – Mirror Force!” said Emma.
“What!” yelled the thug.
(Mirror Force: Normal Trap: When an opponents monster attacks,
negate the attack and destroy all opponents monsters in Attack
mode.)
Summoned Skull vanished as it hit the mirror.
“You little bitch!” snarled the thug.
“My Turn – Draw!” said Emma.
Her eyes widened and she stared at the card she held.
“Hmmm…this duel is over!” said Emma after a moment.
“What?! How?!” spluttered the thug.
“No way…” whispered Yugi.
“I sacrifice my two monsters in order to summon my ultimate
creature!”
“And what is it?” asked the thug.
“You are about to find out…I summon…Blue Eyes White Dragon!!!!”
called Emma.
Her two monsters disappeared and the huge white dragon towered
over the thug.
(Blue Eyes White Dragon: Dragon: Light: 8: ATK 3000: DEF 2500)
Everyone gasped, and started to ask “Are they Kaiba’s?”
“No!” howled the thug. The dragon’s mouth began to emit a white
light.
“Now my Blue Eyes finish him with White Lightning!” yelled Emma.
The Blue Eyes attacked the thug, taking a full 3000 from his
life points, and ending the duel.
The thug collapsed in misery and rage.
Emma jumped off the platform and everyone crowded around her,
congratulating her on her win.
“Are those Kaiba’s Blue Eyes?” asked Tristan.
“No they’re mine and rightfully so.” said Emma.
“Cool…but what if Kaiba hears about this?” asked a kid.
“Then we shall have a little talk, and come to an understanding.”
replied Emma with a smile.
The thug was still cursing at his loss. He did not even look
up as Emma and the gang stood over him.
“You lots because you were relying on one monster. If you balance
your deck, you won’t lose so easily.” said Emma.
“Yeah, if you could balance your deck, I’m sure you could win
more.” said Yugi.
“I don’t need your sympathy.” snarled the thug. What the gang
did not see, was the small knife in his hand ready to stab Emma…
But a card came out of no where and struck the thug on the
hand, causing him to drop the knife. Yugi looked up at the balconies,
and saw a shadow leaping and it disappeared before anyone else
saw it.
“What was that?” asked Joey.
“I dunno…”said Tea.
Emma did a high kick and a graceful hold, and knocked the thug
unconscious. Yugi picked up the card, but it faded away before
he got a chance to look at it.
“Well the thug broke his promise not to hurt anyone, but luckily,
Kaiba’s minions are coming.” said Joey, as two suits came and
took the thug away. Yugi saw that Emma was shaken slightly after
the ordeal.
“Are you OK?”asked Yugi.
“Yes, I’m fine…that’s they first time I fought an armed opponent.”
she said.
“What is going on here?”
Everyone looked round and saw the Kaiba had entered to see what
all the fuss was about.
“Hi Kaiba.” said Tea.
“What are you geeks doing here? Especially your Underdog.” said
Kaiba.
“Watch it.” growled Joey – he HATED being called that.
“Kaiba, the thug tried to hurt some kids and me, with a knife.”
said Emma.
“Really? Well don’t worry he’ll wont be coming back – he’s going
to jail.” replied Kaiba.
“Some security you got Kaiba.” smirked Tristan.
“I’d watch it unless you want to be thrown out.” smiled Kaiba.
Everyone suddenly jumped on Joey who was ready to strangle Kaiba.
“Relax Joey.” said Yugi.
“See you dorks’ at the tournament.” said Kaiba and he walked
away smoothly, while Joey yelled “Kisama!”
Later that night, Yugi was in Emma room, trying to find out
about her past.
Her hobbies included: reading, writing, Duel Monsters, Gymnastics,
Sai, horse riding and just being a good friend.
“Did you have many friends before you came here?” asked Yugi.
“No,” said Emma sadly, “They though I was weird, because I knew
so much about Ancient Egypt, and how I was really good at Duel
Monsters.”
“Oh, you poor thing.” replied Yugi.
“Oh, do you still have the God cards?” asked Emma.
“Yes.” smiled Yugi and he brought them out of his deck. Emma
held them as if they were made of glass.
“Wow…” breathed Emma, “You know recently I’ve been having this
recurring dream and these Gods were in it.”
“Really?” asked Yugi, “Tell me.”
“Well, I’m in Ancient Egypt, and I’m standing atop this temple.
I can see the three Egyptian Gods who are standing outside the
temple. I then see, this young man…He calls to me “Princess,
