Kaiba's Dragon Army Combo

Dragon :
1.Three Blue Eyes White Dragons
2. Chaos Emperor Dragon- Envoy of the End
3. Emerald Dragon

Expression:
- Anime World Grand Prix series episode 195 in the duel between Kaiba VS Seigfried

This is such an incredible combo that Kaiba plays to defeat Siegfried in a turn. In fact, there are many important factors in this game that can turn the way of the duel.

1. First factor is LP. Both Siegfried's and Kaiba's LP always fluctuate. In order words, they are up and down following various effects of magic and monster cards. Besides, they are keys to let both of them play more effective cards.

2. Second factor is a number of cards on hand, especially magic cards mostly played in this game. Both Kaiba and Siegfried have to discard and lose many cards from his hands in a turn following several effects. As a result, both of them play many treasure spell cards, which allows them to draw additional cards in any way.

3. The third factor is cards removed from the game. They are all returned to the field as if the player is playing to resurrect monsters from graveyard.

4. The last factor is supposed to be LUCK. For Kaiba, I think that it may be very difficult to draw and play his expected four spell cards in a turn. However, Kaiba can do that and create an outstanding combo of five dragons with complex attack to one monster of Siegfried, Valkyrie Brunhilde.

The final duel starts from entire destruction of Kaiba's Chaos Emperor Dragon- Envoy of the End that let Kaiba and Siegfried start the game from the beginning again. This is because all of the monsters on both fields are destroyed and both of them have to discards whole cards on hands into the cemetry.

Chaos Emperor Dragon- Envoy of the End (Dark/Dragon/8/3000/2500)

This card can only be Special Summoned by removing 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK moster in your Graveyard from play. Pay 1000 of your Life Points to send all cards in both players' hands and on the field to the Graveyard and inflict 300 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points for each card that is sent to the Graveyard by this effect.

The final move of Kaiba has been continued from Siegfried's first play of Alms of Demon Power, which effects to both players and forces the current player to declare and play magic cards equal to the number of the spell cards that he declared. The players can gain or lose LP, depending on their plays. Of course, Siegfried declares to play his last magic card on his hand. However, when last turn comes to Kaiba, Kaiba declares to play four magic cards despite the fact that he has only a card on hand from drawing. That means Kaiba has to draw additional cards and gets at least 3 spell cards to play up to four cards following what he declared. Of course, Kaiba has no idea what the next cards will be, but he takes large bet in his turn.

- The player can gain 1000 LP

- In each player's turn, it can increase both players'LPs by 500 for each magic card which the player declares that he is going to use. If there is no enough magic card to be played, 1000 point damage is dealed to the player instead.

1. First spell that Kaiba plays is Treasure of Slashing Life (Inochiketsuri No Housatsu), which allows him to draw additional 5 cards. So Kaiba has more propability to get more spell cards. Luckily, all of five cards are spell cards. That is why I think that he gets such a great luck.

Treasure of Slashing Life
Inochiketsuri No Housatsu

Allow the player to draw additional 5 cards. The the player has to discard all cards on his hand in the next 5 turns.

2. Kaiba plays the second spell of Emacipation of Soul (Tamashi No Kaihou), which forces both players to select up to five cards from their graveyards and remove them from the game. As a result, Kaiba selects to remove Chaos Emperor Dragon- Envoy of the End from the game.

3. Kaiba plays the third spell of Reclaim of Spell (Mahou Saisei). Discarding two magic cards on hands into graveyard, Kaiba can return a magic card from the graveyard to his hand.

4. Kaiba plays the forth spell of Fusion of Dimension(Jigen Yuugou) . Paying 2000 LP to play card, Kaiba can resummoned specially monsters removed from the game. As a result, Kaiba's LP goes down to 950 (2950-1000) in order to resummon specially all of his removed monsters Chaos Emperor Dragon- Envoy of the End, three Blue Eyes White Dragons and Emerald Dragon back to the game.

Paying 2000 LP to play card, the player can resummoned specially monsters removed from the game.

By this great combo, Kaiba can resummon five great dragons on the field in a turn. This combo also reminds me of Yugi's combo in anime episode 193 against Vivian. At that time, Yugi plays three spells to summon Black Paladin in a turn. However, Kaiba plays up to four spells to summon five dragons. Anyway, many different conditions are very neccessary to let them accomplish their goals. ^^

After that Kaiba lets each dragon attack Valkyrie Brunhilde respectively. In fact, I am very amazed by strength of Valkyrie Brunhilde that can withstand four times of four dragons'attacks. Then Siegfried is attacked directly by the last dragon of Kaiba, Blue Eyes White Dragon.

Valkyrie Brunhilde (Light/Angel/7/1800/2000)

- This card can be summoned specially by an effect of Flame of Roge.

- Increase its attack power by 300 points for each dragon or warrior type monster on the field.

- If this monster is attacked by a monster with greater attack power, decrease its defense power by 1000 to remain this monster on the field.

This is the conclusion of final attack of Kaiba's dragon army.

1. Kabia orders Emerald Dragon first attack Valkyrie Brunhilde despite Siegfried's amaze. Valkyrie Brunhilde destroyes Emerald Dragon and Kaiba's LP goes down to 50 (950+2400-3300). Everybody is very about Kaiba's little LP left. When Emerald Dragon is gone, Valkyrie Brunhilde's attack points go down to 3000 (1800+300*4).

2. Kaiba lets Chaos Emperor Dragon- Envoy of the End (3000) to attack Valkyrie Brunhilde (3000). By the same attack poins, Chaos Emperor Dragon- Envoy of the End is destoyed. However, Valkyrie Brunhilde can remain on the field by its special effect; when decreased defense power by 1000, Valkyrie Brunhilde can remain this monster on the field. As a result, Valkyrie Brunhilde defense power goes down to 1000 (2000-1000) while its attack power is also decreased to 2700 (1800+300*3) because another dragon of Kaiba was already destroyed.

3. Kaiba lets Blue Eyes White Dragon (3000) to attack Valkyrie Brunhilde (2700/1000). However, Valkyrie Brunhilde can still remain on the field by its special effect; when decreased defense power by 1000, Valkyrie Brunhilde can remain this monster on the field. As a result, Valkyrie Brunhilde defense power goes down to 0 (1000-1000) while its attack power has no change (2700) because three Blue Eyes White Dragon remained the same numbers on the field. Besides, Sieg's LP goes down to 3000 (3300+2700-3000).

4. Kaiba lets the second Blue Eyes White Dragon (3000) to attack Valkyrie Brunhilde (2700/1000). Valkyrie Brunhilde is destroyed and Siegfried's LP goes down to 2700 (3000+2700-3000). At this time, Siegfried has already known his coming destiny.

5. Kaiba lets the last Blue Eyes White Dragon (3000) to attack directly Siegfried. Finally Siegfried's LP goes down to 0 (2700-3000) and Siegfried is defeated

Personally, I am very impressed by this duel. Both Siegfried and Kaiba do such great play and incredible combos to compete against each other. Only one thing that I've doubted is that whether we can play these combos in real tournament ^^.
