Legendary
Gambler
Densetsu No Bambler
Densetsu: Legendary,
Historical
Effect: This
can be played when the opponent is using a dice
card. If a player rolls a dice and gets a higher number
than his opponent gets, the effect of the opponent's
dice is invalid.
Expression: Anime episode
187 in the duel between Jyoonouchi
VS Mask The Rock
|
This
is a key card that Mask The Rock (Mutou Sugoroku, Yugi's
grandpa) plays to obstruct Jyoonouchi's strategy of playing
dice cards in the anime episode187. It can
completely seal Jyoonouchi's dice playing. When Jyoonouchi
rolls his angel dice and evil dice, he twice
gets lower numbers than Mask The Rock gets. As a
result, the effects of his magic dices are invalid.
Also, Jyoonouchi
has to play difficultly without dice technique.
However,
it is apparent that this card depends on a luck of a
player. It seems that Mask The Rock ever be a greatly
legendary duelist, Mutou Sugoroku, thus he obtains much
greater luck than does Jyoonouchi. How much luck Jyoonouchi
has
seems not enough to gamble with this duelist.
Moreover,
look at this card carefully and you see a picture
of Mutou Sugoroku when he was a young gambler who always
travelled around the world to face such interesting and
challenging games. You may have ever
seen this picture from comic episode 279, the beginning
episode of Pharaoh's memory series after Battly City
series. In other words, this card really represents Sugoroku's
character as a strong gambler. Sugoroku's legend is created
as a part of Duel Monster card.
