Summary

Both The Devil Obelisk and Obelisk The Tormentor are smashing each other violently by God Hand Impact. The strike causes big explosion on KC building and shakes the whole building. Mokuba can feel that the energy is very intense and isn't sure whether the main server can handle it. Meanwhile, Honda and Jyonouchi see some power passing through Anzu and making her body shaking strongly.

Such a tremendous power and strike finally causes both gods to break apart and disappear. At this moment, Yakou sees the picture of Pegasus in front of him. Pegasus begins to walk away. Yakou tries to call Pegasus and asks him wait, but Pegasus eventually disappears. Yakou looks very confused and doubts whether Pegasus has already left him. For Yugi, he sees the picture of Anzu in front him. Anzu is smiling, telling Yugi to go back to the others soon. Yugi smiles as seeing Anzu disappearing. The sun then shines, and the result appears that the both gods are destroyed together.

At the main controller room, Anzu finally wakes up. Honda and Jyonouchi become very happy. Jyonouchi tells Anzu to stay still while he and Honda are going to take off all machines equipped to her body. The link connecting Anzu and the devil god has already disappeared, so Anzu is now safe to move out. Anzu thanks her two friends for their help very much.

Jyonouchi tells her that it hasn't finished yet because Yugi is currently fighting at the top of the building. They should hurry to inform Yugi that Anzu is safe. Honda and Jyonouchi slowly hold Anzu walking out from the machines. Seeing her looking fine and moving well, they along with her all go ahead to see Yugi.

Meanwhile, Mokuba is contacting Kaiba that the Duel Ring Server has already returned to operate normally. That's what Kaiba has expected. The Devils Avatar is gone together with Obelisk The Tormentor of Yugi, so it loses influence over Duel Ring Server. Also, the devil god should lose influence on Yakou. Gekkou looks at Yakou now falling onto his knees and looking very upset. Yakou is now crying after seeing Pegasus leave him.

Yugi tells Yakou that his devil god along with the dark night has already disappeared into the light, so Yakou's ambition should be gone as well. The devil right eye of Yakou now turns back to his normal human eye. Yakou is crying while keeping on saying that Pegasus has already disappeared. Yugi tells him that although both of their gods were smashed down together, they still have LP left. Yugi now has 98 LP, and Yakou has 900 LP. Yakou says that, in the light he saw, Pegasus left without turning back. Therefore, there is no more point of this battle. Yakou slowly moves his hand over his deck, making people understand shortly that he intends to surrender.

Gekkou is the first person who stops his little brother to end the game like this. He reminds Yakou of what he said at the beginning of the duel. Yakou said that Gekkou's name was the moon showering by the light. He thought that if he, the one without the light, didn't have Pegasus, he would fail.

What Gekkou wants to say is that Yakou is actually different. Although Yakou was in deep darkness, he could still move forward. Pegasus didn't complete the devil gods because he realized that Yakou actually didn't need them. Also, he is no longer in this current battle. Thus, the battle from now on will be the battle of true Yakou whom Pegasus saw by his millennium eye. True Yakou is the one who doesn't need the devil gods.

Hearing what Gekkou has just said, Yakou slowly gets up. He tells Yugi to continue the duel. Yugi smiles and responds excitedly to accept his request. Yakou describes the game that his devil god has already disappeared but he hasn't finished his turn yet. He activates spell card [Level Award - Spell: Change a Level of 1 monster to 1 Level of 0 ~ 8] from his hand. This spell allows his Metal Devil Token's level to go up to level 8.

At this moment, Yakou is curious about what Gekkou has just said. He would like to know what his true self that Pegasus saw by his millennium eye is. He thinks that if he continues the duel with Yugi, the answer will become clear. At the same time, Yugi looks at Yakou and smiles.

Yakou then opens his face-down spell card [Star Level Shuffle - Spell: Replace a monster on the field by a monster with the same Level in your graveyard]. This spell allows him to exchange a monster in the cemetery with the same level as a monster on the field. Metal Devil Token on the field now has level 8 by the effect of Level Award, so Yakou uses it exchange with Barbarlos the King of Sacred Beasts from the graveyard.

Yakou explains that his current Barbaros the King of Sacred Beasts now doesn't have any restriction as it had earlier. It currently has the full 3000 attack points. Kaiba can see clearly that Yakou is playing with level tactics. Although Yakou has already lost obsession of the devil gods, he is moving on as a duelist.

As Yakou ends his turn, Yugi says that this duel is now different from before. When Yakou has lost the devil gods, the battle has also lost personal hatred from his revenge and anger. To say, Yugi clearly declares that this fight is a real duelist's battle. Yakou is surprised by Yugi's words full of pride. Gekkou is looking forward how Yakou truly fights. It's now Yugi's turn, and he draws a card actively.
