Summary

Once The Devils Avatar is summoned, Mokuba realizes that Duel Link Server is moving into an unusual processing mode. He doesn't think that this can be possible because Tenma's project has been supposed to be stopped already by his brother's private codes. This seems to happen because the evil program is loaded by the devil card. Mokuba doubts whether his brother's program is no longer able to stop it.

On the other side, Anzu is sleeping inside the machine is glowing brightly and shaking heavily. Honda and Jyonouchi wonder whether something is happening. Jyonouchi is trying to touch her and ask whether she is fine. Once he moves his hand closer to her body, some electricity sparks him. Jyonouchi looks sad and feels that they are very powerless to do anything to save her. He and Honda look up and think that the last hope falls onto Yugi, hoping him to release Anzu from the bound of the devil god as soon as possible.

At the top of Kaiba Corporation's building, Yakou has successfully summoned The Devils Avatar onto the field in attack position. He claims it as another of his part and tells Yugi to look at it carefully. The Devils Avatar is still in a black sphere form. Yugi is stunned by this anti-devil dark god created to oppose his gods of sun. In Gekkou's sight, The Devils Avatar is the god that dyes Yakou's soul into an evil color. For Kaiba, it's the wicked god standing over all monsters on the field (The Devails Avata always has attack points higher than the strongest monster on the field by 1 point).

Then, Yakou declares to have The Devils Avatar metamorphose. He says that it can keep reigning over and exceeding other monsters on the field forever. As Yugi is getting nervous to see The Devils Avatar's transforming, he sees the picture of Anzu in black swirling aura of The Devils Avatar. Yakou explains that Yugi's important person has already been confined as a part of the devil god. If Yugi doesn't hurry to save her, he will disappear sooner or later.

According to the special effect of The Devils Avatar, it can transform into the strongest monster on the field and have higher attack points than the strongest one by 1 point. The strongest monster on the field now is Envoy of Hades Goozu with 2700 points of Yugi, so The Devils Avatar transforms into Dark Envoy of Hades Goozu with 2701 attack points (2700+1). By this, this devil god can't be beaten.

Yugi looks obviously worried by both Anzu and threatening devil god. Yakou tells Yugi to receive calamity of his god while declaring its attack towards Envoy of Hades Kaien. Envoy of Hades Kaien is cut in two pieces and destroyed. Yugi's LP decreases to 99 (300+2500-2701). Everybody begins to get worried about him. Yakou sets up a face-down card and ends his turn at this point.

As analyzing the game, Kaiba realizes that The Devils Avatar has such amazing power to have more attack points than the strongest monster on the field by 1. This means that it can have higher power than Yugi's gods and is a guardian of death for them.

The turn is now with Yugi. Yakou sees him not moving, so he calls Yugi for his turn. During this time, Anzi's consciousness inside The Devils Avatar is disappearing, so Yugi should hurry. Yugi looks very mad at Yakou before drawing a card in his turn. He then discards a card on his hand into the cemetery in order to special summon [THE Tricky - 5/2000/1200: Discarding a card from hand into the cemetery, the player can summon this card specially from his hand] onto the field.

Yakou doubts whether Yugi is planning to gain time by increase the number of defense monsters in his turn. He is afraid that Anzu may not be able to wait that long. Yugi corrects Yakou that he isn't going to defend in this turn but attack the devil god, surprising everyone very much.

Yugi then activates his spell card [Union Attack - Spell: Combine the attack points of all monsters on the field into a single attack. The battle damage to the opponent is reduced to 0]. This spell card can combine the attack points of Envoy of Hades Goozu and THE Tricky in order to inflict damage to the devil god. The combined attack power becomes 4700 (2000+2700). Gekkou becomes very amazed. The Devils Avatar's attack points depend merely on the base points of Envoy of Hades Goozu, so they remain 2701 points.

Yugi declares the combination attack of THE Tricky and Envoy of Hades Goozu towards Dark Envoy of Hades Goozu or The Devils Avatar immediately. As a bottom part of Dark Envoy of Hades Goozu is destroyed, the top part remains and counterattacks Envoy of Hades Goozu of Yugi until it disappears. Yugi doesn't understand at all why his monster is gone but The Devils Avatar remains.

Yakou chuckles before opening his face-down spell card [Disappearance of Power - Chikara O Shoushitsu: Select a monster on the field and the attack power of the selected monster becomes 0. The monster also can't battle]. Due to its effect, the attack points of THE Tricky became 0 and it couldn't attack in the battle phase. Thus, the effect of Union Attack was negated because THE Tricky couldn't attack and its attack points couldn't be combined with Envoy of Hades Goozu. The result was that only 2700 damage from the attack of Envoy of Hades Goozu was inflicted to The Devils Avatar with 2701 attack points. The Devils Avatar remained while Envoy of Hades Goozu was destroyed. Yugi's LP decreases to 98 (99+2700-2701).

Because Envoy of Hades Goozu's destroyed, The Devils Avatar has to change its form into THE Tricky, the currently strongest monster on the field, with 1 attack point (THE Tricky now has 0 attack point due to the effect of Disappearance of Power). Yakou tells Yugi that he has already checked all of Yugi's duels in this building. The only card in Yugi's deck that can conquest the devil gods is Union Attack. Since Union Attack has been finished off by now, Yakou is confident that nothing else can be a threat to the devil god. Yugi sets up a face-down card, ending his turn at this point.

The turn comes to Yakou. He draws a card and asks what Yugi thinks if he can set down the conclusion by coming plan. As Yugi looks surprised, Yakou activates spell card [Devil's Sanctuary - Spell: Special Summon 1 Metal Devil Token. Pay 1000 Life Points in each turn for the cost of this card]. Playing this card, Yakou's LP decreases to 900 (1900-1000).

Devil's Sanctuary can create a Metal Devil Token onto the field. Yugi notices that Metal Devil Token is reflecting his body in its head. Yakou explains that Metal Devil Token will copy Yugi. Because Yugi now has 98 LP, Metal Devil Token copies him and has 98 attack points. Metal Devil Token appears to be the strongest monster on the field (THE Tricky still has 0 attack point), so The Devils Avatar transforms itself into the body which Metal Devil Token is reflecting. Everybody is getting very shocked as seeing The Devils Avatar transform into the body of Little Yugi.

Note: This effect of Devil's Sanctuary can be applied only to manga. In OCG, Metal Devil Token has only 0 attack point and it can't consume any attack point from other players or monsters. It's normally used only for a tribute to summon high-level monster.
