Summary
Jyonouchi and Honda have finally reached a large room
looking like a laboratory. Honda understands that they haven't gone
up to the ground floor yet. Inside the laboratory, there are full
of some monsters sealed in glass tubes. Honda tells Jyonouchi to
become more careful this time so that Jyonouchi won't get into a
trap again. Of course, Jyonouchi is getting mad at him, claiming
that he has understood the situation well. Looking the monsters
around the room, both of them have realized that this room is seemingly
the laboratory for some experiment. Jyonouchi starts wondering whether
Kaiba is doing the research about living bodies. However, Honda
has just noticed that all of the monsters are in fact the parts
of the solid vision system. Whatever they are seeing is merely the
shadow designs of the monsters resulting from the system. Jyonouchi
feels glad to hear that the monsters aren't exactly alive. Suddenly,
he screams very loudly and gets frightened when a guy in a glass
tube tries to move and kid him. The guy really enjoys when he sees
Jyonouchi's expression. Thus, Jyonouchi knows that the guy isn't
a part created by the solid vision system. Then, the guy moves out
from the glass tube, introducing himself as a card professor named
"Pete Coppermine". He was
very impressed by Jyonouchi surprising act after he had waited for
him quietly for a while. Jyonouchi has certainly been unpleased
since he was pulled around.
Pete
starts changing the topic, talking about the impressive solid vision
system of Kaiba Corporation. He understands that Jyonouchi and Honda
are now getting worried about their friend, Mazaki Anzu. Meanwhile,
Jyonouchi and Honda are reminding themselves of when Anzu was previously
disappeared by the solid vision system. When provoked, Jyonouchi
declares aggressively that he would beat anybody who interferes
his way to reach Anzu. Although Pete sees how Jyonouchi is serious,
he is worried at all. After that, Pete leads Jyonouchi to a nearby
duel space. Because Jyonouchi could beat Klamath (episode
5), the reward for his defeat goes up to $100. Moreover, whoever
can beat Jyonouchi will get a priority to fight against Mutou Yugi.
This sounds the good motivation. However, Jyonouchi doesn't care
at all because it isn't his business. When both sides have prepared
themselves, the duel starts.
First turn comes to Jyonouchi. Honda tries to warn
Jyonouchi to clam down while he is dueling. Drawing a card, Jyonouchi
sets up a reversed trap card. After that, he summons Little-Winguard
(4/1400/1800) in a defense position, ending his turn. Next
turn goes to Pete. He sees Jyonouchi playing carefully even though
he still can't clam down. Drawing a card, Pete summons Para
Mutant (4/1800/1500) in an attack mode. Setting another
reversed card, Pete ends his turn without attacking. Jyonouchi is
getting mad because Pete didn't play carefully but remained his
monster in the attack mode. Come to Jyonouchi's turn. He draws a
card and summons Panther Warrior (Shikkoku No Hyosenshi
Panther Warrior 4/2000/1600) in an attack mode. Certainly,
he declares the attack of Panther Warrior against Para Myutanto
immediately. Meanwhile, Pete opens his magic card Treasure
of Pearl (Juuka no Houju) that can change a form of Mutant.
In other words, Pete Mutant is transformed into Lycanthrope
(2300/1600). As a result, Lycanthrope counterattacks Panther
Warrior. When Panther Warrior is destroyed, Jyonouchi's LP goes
down to 3700 (4000+2000-2300). Honda hasn't seen Jyonouchi preparing
himself well as he said at all while Pete is agreeing with Honda.
Thus, Jyonouchi tells Pete to shut up. In fact, he understands himself
very well, trying to clam down and restarting the game. Setting
a reversed card, Jyonouchi ends his turn.
Come
to Pete's turn. He considers Jyonouchi such a simple duelist. Seeing
two reversed cards on Jyonouchi's field, Pete plays a magic card
Eye of the Future (Mirai Yochi No Me) from his
hand. By its effect, all cards on the opponent side of the field
must be revealed. That means the two reversed trap cards of Jyonouchi
are openned. One of them is Continuous Attack (Rengeki)
and another one is Trap Hole (Otoshiana). Jyonouchi
is, of course, embrarassed when his cards are totally revealed.
Seeing Trap Hole, Pete understands that he can't let his Lycanthrope
attack. Instead, he sets up another reversed card, sacrificing Lycanthrope
to summon (Mutant High Brain - 6/0/2500: Activate this effect
when this card declares an attack. In place of attacking with this
monster, gain control of 1 monster on your opponent's field in faced
up attack position until the end of the battle phase. You cannot
attack a player directly with this effect). Jyonouchi is
getting amazed and doesn't understand why Pete had to sacrifice
his monster with 2300 attack points to summon the monster with 0
attack point. Honda tries to tell Jyonouchi to become aware of Pete
(He calls Pete "Oukami Yarou"
that means "Wolf Guy'). He is
certain that Pete is hiding something. Pete has already known that
Jyonouchi is facing down Trap Hole; however, he still summons the
monster with 0 strength. Then Pete is ready, declaring the attack
of Mutant High Brain. By its special effect of Telekinesis, Mutant
High Brain can control one of the opponent's monsters. That means
when Mutant High Brain launches its attack, Telekinesis Hand Force,
it controls control Little-Winguard (1400) of Jyonouchi and lets
it attack him directly. Getting the strong attack, Jyonouchi's LP
goes down to 2300 (3700-1400). After that, Pete tells Jyonouchi
not to be worried. After the attack, Mutant High Brain will return
its control after the end of the battle phase, and Little-Winguard
will be released.
Move
is back to Jyonouchi. Drawing a card, Jyonouchi notices Mutant High
Brain remaining its attack mode. Thus, he becomes reckless and thinks
of some ways to attack it. Setting another reversed card, he sacrifices
Little-Winguard to summon Saint Knight Ishuzark (6/2300/1800)
in an attack position. Pete seems very amazed by the appearance
of the high saint Issac. In deed, this is Jyonouchi's plan to play
his Saint Knight Ishuzark. He will first lets it attack Mutant High
Brain (0), so Pete's LP will significantly go down to 1700 (4000+0-2300).
After that, Jyonouchi will activates his trap card Continuous Attack.
This card can be activated only when the monster of the player can
successfully deal damage to the opponent monster. It also allows
the player's monster to continue its next attack against either
another monster or the opponent. In other words, as a result of
this effect, Saint Knight Ishuzark can continue its second attack
against Pete directly. Then Pete's LP will go down to 0 (1700-2300).
According to this plan, Jyonouchi starts the attack of Saint Knight
Ishuzark against Mutant High Brain at once. However, Mutant High
Brain disappears from the field while Pete suddenly opens his magic
card Teletemporator. This card can move a monster
away and return it back into the next main phase. When no monster
was destroyed, Jyonouchi can't play the effect of Continuous Attack.
Pete has seemingly been able to read Jyonouchi's plan before. At
this point, Pete declares confidently that Jyonouchi must be defeated
in the next turn by the attack of his own Saint Knight Ishuzark.
Next
turn comes to Pete. In his main phase, Mutant High Brain is returned.
Honda is very worried about Jyonouchi. By the 2300 attack points
of Saint Knight Ishuzark taken control, Jyonouchi's LP (2300) will
become 0. At this moment, Pete lets Mutant High Brain launch its
power, Telekinesis Hand Force, to take control Saint Knight Ishuzark.
Nevertheless, Saint Knight Ishuzark suddenly disappears from the field;
Pete is very surprised. Jyonouchi explains that he plays his trap
card Graverobber (Haka Arashi) to take a card from
from Pete's graveyard. Apparently, Jyonouchi chooses to take Teletemporator
and plays it. That means, Saint Knight Ishuzark disappears in this
turn and will reappear again in his next main phase. At this moment,
Pete is getting shocked, struggling to find some cards to oppose
Jyonouchi. Anyway, it seems too late and he can find nothing else.
Come to Jyonouchi's final turn. Saint Knight Ishuzark
is returned in his main phase. Subsequently, Jyonouchi plays the
strategy that he has planned before. Saint Knight Ishuzark (2300) first
destroys Mutant High Brain (0), so Pete's LP goes down to 1700 (4000+0-2300).
After that, Jyonouchi activates Continuous Attack to let Saint Knight Ishuzark keep on its second attack, Break Down Distortion, against
Pete directly. As a result, Pete's LP finally goes down to 0 (1700-2300),
and Jyonouchi becomes the winner. Jyonouchi tells Pete that the
person who became carelessly and was stuck into an illusive victory
is actually Pete himself. Both Jyonouchi and Honda are glad again
to this victory...
