Inside the forest, an explosion is erupting. There appears Edo dueling a pro duelist with a black suit. He has D-Hero Dogma Guy on his field as the pro duelist has Blade Knight in play. Edo declares the attack of D-Hero Dogma Guy. It charges and destroys Blade Knight, causing the big explosion and scattering birds flying away from their nests. The pro duelist collapses while Edo is walking in. "As promise, I will take your deck", Edo says as taking up the pro's deck and searching through it. However, it doesn't contain the card that he wants, so Edo throws the deck away.

"It isn't in here. Where is it? Where is it, the ultimate D? The guy who holds it and killed my dad! I will certainly strike the enemy!", Edo says angrily. He has been attending GX and dueling many pros to look for the person who is holding the ultimate D card taken from his dad. The person who has it is also the one who killed his father. Edo holds his fist as swearing to himself that he will certainly beat up this enemy by himself.

Principle Samejima is meeting with President Pegasus in an office. After greeting, Pegasus asks how GX tournament is running. Principle Samejima replies that he hasn't seen any sing of Ultimate D card yet. Pegasus feels sorry to him, hoping that the holder will show up in this tournament. Principle Samejima turns to ask whether this will be releated to someone who killed Edo's father. Pegasus explains that his company proceeds based on science to transform intellect of mankind into a card. A space observatory has just discovered a tremendous fact. Principle Samejima gets very amazed by what it is.

Pegasus mentions that it happened far away in the universe while closing the window and showing some pictures on screen for explanation. According to the data from the observatory, a white hole, the opposite existace of a black hole, gushed out massive amounts of energy across the universe several million years ago. There is a possibility that the massive amount of energy called [Surge of Light] gushing from there fell down to the earth ten years ago. Principle Samejima is surprised, asking whether this is related to the tragedy of Phoenix family. Pegasus disagrees. If the tragedy with Phoenix family was the only indicent, GX Tournament shouldn't be held. This incident doesn't seem to affect only Phoenix family but the whole world. We can see through many wars, disasters, and heinous crimes. On screen is now showing various histories of mankind to support the idea.

Pegasus is thinking that the surge of light has been influencing human beings. Considering historically countless number of world wars and disasters in the past, he sees possibility that the turning points in world history were the countless surge of light falling to the earth. Principle Samejima doubts whether that king of power should fade out folloing the passage of time. Pegasus explains that there are some cards with mysterious power to seal the strength of the Three Legendary Gods) and the Three Legendary Demons. He finally turns off the screen and opens the window, placing a blank card on the table. Principle Samejima realizes that Pegasus is meaning Ultimate D card. The power of the surge of light has been residing in it. Pegasus believes that if it still remains, it will eventually become a threat to the world.

As a whole, Saiou Takuma and any person with possibility to hold Ultimate D were totally invited into Genex tournament. However, the fact that the holder hasn't appeared yet can assume that Edo may be the one who is holding the card. Principle Samejima argues that although Edo has some mysterious move, there is no possiblity at the first place that he is holding the card. Principle Samejima understands Edo's feeling well that Edo is just searching for his father. Ultimate D is the substitute for his father. As a man, father is important existance for him to get over. In other words, Edo would like to get over his father or the person holding Ultimate D. Principle Samejima explains while Pegasus looks at him with uncertain face.

Samejima	It has been a while, President Pegasus.
Pegasus	I have been expecting you, Mister Samejima. How is Genex coming along?
Samejima	Well...there's still no sign of the "Ultimate D-Card".
Pegasus	How unfortunate! I thought for sure that by holding Genex it would show up.
Samejima	However, can it be true? Can it have a serious correlation to the incident that killed Edo's father?
Pegasus	Our company had cooperated with every category of science in order to adopt the foremost intellect of mankind into a card. But a space observatory discovered one tremendous fact.
Samejima	A tremendous fact?
Pegasus	It occured in the far reaches of the universe. We now know from the observatory's data analysis, that, several hundreds of millions of years ago, a white hole gushed out massive amounts of energy across the universe. A white hole is the opposite existance to a black hole. One theory states that a black hole creates an outlet of dark energy. The massive amount of energy that gushes from there, let's call it the "Surge of Light". There is a possibility that it fell down on Earth ten years ago.
Samejima	Impossible...that light is the reason for the tragedy in the Phoenixes?
Pegasus	It is "impossible". If the tragedy with Phoenix family was the only incident, the Genex tournament under your cooporation might not have had to be held, Mister Samejima. However, that incident doesn't remain only with Phoenix family. Coincidentally, wars, disasters, and heinous crimes have been an overissue in the world.
Samejima	That means every one of those...
Pegasus	We think that the "Surge of Light" is an influnce on man. Also, if we take a look in history at the countless accounts of World War that have occured in the past and the dictators who suddenly spring up in the world...It could be possible that the turning points in world history were countless "Surges of Light" that fell down to earth.
Samejima	But, that power would fade in time...
Pegasus	Not exactly. As you may well know, there are cards with mysterious powers that can seal the strength of the Three Mythic Gods (The Three Legendary Gods) and the Three Mythic Demons (The Three Legendary Demons).
Samejima	Then, when that power continues to stay within the "Ultimate-D"...
Pegasus	If it is left as is, there is no doubt that it will become a new threat for the world.

Edo has dueled many duelists without pause until night time. He shakes and gaspes to regain his breath. Countless cards and duelists are collapsed at his feet, but none of them is the card stolen from his father. Although Edo could beat people this much, he hasn't found what he wants. He reminds himself of what Mizuchi said that the ultimate D card would lead the universe to destruction and be called the existing root of fear (episode 79). As Judai looked surprised by the card controling a devil, Edo got excited and asked whether Saiou was holding it. Mizuchi told him that the card disappeared after Saiou had been taken into the existing of fear. Thus, Edo didn't get any further clue at that time.

A flash of lightning illuminates the white dorm in the distance as Edo stands over the bodies of the fallen duelists. He decides to face Saiou and runs towards the white dorm. Edo yells all the way, "Saiou! Saiou! Saiou! You know it, right!?, where the ultimate D is?", and approaches into the white dorm to meet Saiou. However, he is blocked by the white students who tell him that it's useless since Saiou won't come out to meet him. Edo shouts furiously, telling them to let him go to meet Saiou. They still refuse to let him get in as dragging him out and throwing him away from the dorm. The door is finally shut down. Edo slams his fist on the locked door, calling for Saiou and finally falling to his knees at the barred entrance.

At the next day, Judai and Kenzan are watching television in the principal's office. Professor Chronos ask what they are doing here. Judai tells him that the principal isn't here now, so it should be okey for him to watch the big TV in this room. Vice Principal suggests them go back to watch at their own room, but Judai argues that the TV in his room is too tiny. Kenzan agrees and adds that there is a big pro league game today. It's the world title match. He then changes from kid chennel to the live game.

Chronos	Huh? Wait a second, Signor, what are you doing in here, no?
Judai	Huh?
Chronos	This is the principal's office, no!
Judai	The principal's not here right now, right? So in the meantime, it's okay for us to watch the big TV in here.
Kenzan	Don.
Napoleon	You should go watch the TV in thy own rooms.
Judai	But the TVs in the red dorms are tiny. They ain't flashy like this one, you know.
Kenzan	Today, there is the pro league, the world title match.
Napoleon	The world title match?
Chronos	The world title match?

The reporter is welcoming audiences to the live battle broadcasting of the world pro league title match. The match is set up in Kaibaland, and the stadium is full of people. Judai and Kenzan are very excited by such a big match. Vice Principal Napoleon feels pity that it's too late now to call the champ to the school for Red dorm abolishment. Kenzan doubts whether Vice Principal Napoleon can call the champ, and Vice Principal Napoleon confirms that he can.

Kenzan asks whether Vice Principal Napoleon actually knows the champ. Vice Principal Napoleon answers that he may not, but Edo knows him well. Professor Chronos reads the reports and says that, in other words, Edo's guardian is the world champ named [DD]. Kenzan and Judai are getting very surprised by this news. As far as they know, DD is the duelist who has dominated the throne in pro league for 10 years.

Meanwhile, Edo is watching the game through a portable television on his cruise in the sea. TV is broadcasting walking DD, who has ruled the top position over the world for 10 years. Seeing the back of DD, Edo recalls his backstory with DD when he was young. At that time, DD was offering his hand to little Edo as little Edo looked excited to see him. DD asked whether little Edo knew him. Little Edo replied that there was no way he wouldn't recognize the world champion. DD said that although Edo was a little kid, he seemed to be a superior duelist. In order for Edo to have the day to turn pro, DD offered to be overall backup for him. Little Edo became a bit surprised. DD handed over his shoulder and explained that Edo's father used to give him some assistance. If that's the case, little Edo had a request for him. Until the day when little Edo was able to challenge DD, he would like him to remain in the champion position. In other words, little Edo saw DD as his target that he would like to get over, wanting DD to wait for him at the highest position. DD had no problem with that. He gave a promise to Edo that he would do so, hoping Edo to come after him soon. Edo accepted and smiled. Both of them gave a hand shake as the promise.

At Kaiba Dome, DD is staying in his private resting room. His hand is shaking towards a suitcase in front of him, hesitating whether to use this ultimate card. This is chuckling sound coming from the mirror close to him. Evil personality of DD appears there and talks to him. Evil DD expects DD to master the power already and work on the final pro-league duel today because the world will be ended soon along with the whole pain. DD finally punches the case through the glass table and shattering it. He opens the case by the blow. When it's open, there reveals a single card nestled inside. He pickes it up as laughing. DD has already changed into evil personality in the mirror. He says that it is no longer necessary to hide. His hand is the ultimate D card he intends to use in this final game.

While the game is about to begin, Professor Chronos and Vice Principal Napoleon are joining Judai and Kenzan to watch the match. Edo is also paying attention to this game on his cruise. The light in the studium is turned on, following by the cheer of the crowd. The reporter announces the DD's challenger, [Doctor Collector], who is a criminal with IQ200 taken from a prison. He is a hulking bald man with a scarred forehead and bushy black beard standing proudly in a straightjacket. The crowd heckles him before he shatters his straightjacket to reveal a muscled physique and brown convict jumpsuit.

The reporter announces that other side as the 10-year pro league champ, the king of kings and the destiny of duelists, [DD]. Flame erupts while DD is appearing from a hole in the ground. His hair is in order and neat, looking different from another personality in the resting room. He is also looking calm. The light spots to both players before the whole light in the stadium is turned on. Dr. Collector greets DD for today when he has waited because it will be the last day for DD's champion title. DD replies that it may be true, but it will be the last day for everything and also for Dr. Collector. Standing by their duel disks, they begin the duel.

The first turn comes to DD. He draws a card and summons [Enigma, Envoy of the Celestial Lord ~ Tentaishi Enigma - 4/?/1200: When this card is destroyed as a result of battle and sent to the Graveuard, Special Summon 1 ??? Token (?/?/?/ATK ?/DEF ?) to your side of the field] onto the field in defense position. Setting a face-down card, DD ends his turn.

The turn moves to Dr. Collector. He draws a card and begins to talk to DD. He is confident that DD will have fun with his last day of the champion today and have to walk down from the battle stage. The cause of his confidence is in his hand. Dr. Collector has just drawn a card and obtained the ultimate card in his hand. DD becomes interested in the deck created by this genius with IQ200, challenging Dr. Collector to show it. Dr. Collector plays the spell card [Dimension Fissure ~ Jigen No Sakeme: Continuous Spell: Any monster sent to the Graveyard is removed from play instead]. This card will remove all monsters sent to the cemetery from the game. The arena quakes as the fissure composed of glowing violet energy appears in the air above them.

Dr. Collector then activates another spell card [Graceful Charity ~ Tenshi No Hodokoshi - Spell: Draw 3 cards from your deck, then discard any 2 cards from your hand]. By its effect, he has to draw three new cards and discard two cards from his hand. Those two discarded cards are Cosmo Queen and Magician's Valkyrie. Because they are monster cards, they are removed from the game as a result of Dimension Fissure's effect. He throws them into the portal above them.

Later, the plays the third spell card [Magic Stone Excavation ~ Mahouseki No Saikutsu - Spell: Discard 2 cards from your hand. Return 1 Spell Card from your Graveyard to your hand]. It's effect allows him to discard two cards from his hand to return Graceful Charity from the cemetery onto his hand. Dr. Collector selects to discard another Magician's Valkyrie and Monster Reincarnation. Because Magician's Valkyrie is a monster card, it is repeatedly removed from the game by the above portal. Monster Reincarnation is a spell card, so it is sent to cemetery normally.

Again, Dr. Collector activates Graceful Charity he has just got back, drawing three cards and throwing two monsters, Ebon Magician Curran and another Magician's Valkyrie, away from the game. Judai watching the game doesn't understand what this challenger is doing by keeping on throwing his own cards from the game.

At this moment, Dr. Collector explains that he has 5 monsters removed from the game. DD yarns and gets bored of such a long combination. He asks whether Dr. Collector will continue playing like this. If he has to wait longer, it may become night time before his turn will come. Dr. Collector sees DD the champion who doesn't know discipline. He believes that DD's throne and sleepiness will be blown out soon.

Dr. Collector plays his fourth spell card [Dimension Fussion ~ Jigen Yuugou - Spell: Pay 2000 Life Points. Both players Special Summon as many of their monsters as possible that have been removed from play]. With its effect, he has to pay 2000 LP to special summon as many monsters as which he has removed from the game. His LP decreases to 2000 (4000-2000). Actually, this card affects two players. However, only Dr. Collector has the monsters removed from the game, so only he can play this effect.

The portal glows ominously before his five monsters, [Cosmo Queen - 8/2900/2450], [Ebon Magician Curran - 2/1200/0: During your Standby Phase, inflict 300 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points for each monster on your opponent's side of the field], and three [Magician's Valkyrie - 4/1600/1800: As long as this monster remains face-up on the field, your opponents cannot select another Spellcaster-Type monster on your side of the field as an attack target], are called back onto the field in attack position.

Dimension Fussion Spell Card	Cosmo Quees Monster Card

Judai is very impressed by the swarm of monsters summoned suddenly at a time. People see that this should be troublesome for DD if all five monsters attack together. Also, Magician's Valkyrie has a barrier or special effect to block any attack of other spellcaster monsters on DD's field. Dr. Collector has three Magician's Valkyries on the field, making DD unable to attack. If DD plans to bear this turn, Ebon Magician Curran of Dr. Collector has special effect to inflict 300-point damages for each of DD's monster directly to DD. No matter whehther DD will defend or offend, he still has disadvantage. This is such an impregnable formation. It's only the first turn, but Kenzan sees as if it's close to the end. Judai is also amazed by such a high-level pro duel. Meanwhile, Edo is still watching the game with serious face.

Dr. Collector realizes that DD has done well for ten years, so he, at least, plans to make it end here easily. He declares the attack of Cosmo Queen to destroy defending Enigma, Envoy of the Celestial Lord. At this moment, DD opens his face-down trap card [Negate Attack ~ Kougeki No Muryoku Ka - Counter Trap: When your opponent attacks with a monster, negate the attack and make your opponent's Battle Phase end] to negate Cosmo Queen's strike and end Dr. Collector's battle phase immediately.

Dr. Collector sees that DD could finally bear this turn. However, he believes that, in the next turn and by the same disadvantage condition, DD will taste more and more pain. Dr. Collector then plays another spell card [Magical Blast - Spell: This card only activate while there is a Spellcaster-Type monster(s) on your side of the field. Inflict 200 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points for each Spellcaster-Type monster on your side of the field. If this card is in the Graveyard, you can add this card to your hand instead of conducting your normal draw during your Draw Phase] in his end phase.

This spell card can inflict 200-damage points for each spellcaster monster on Dr. Collector's field directly to DD. All five monsters on his field are spellcaster type, so DD has to get overall 1000 (5*200) damage points. His LP decreases to 3000 (4000-1000). By this, Kenzan sees that DD has become more disadvantaged. Setting up a card, Dr. Collector ends his turn. His face-down card is actually [Nightmare Wheel ~ Koumonsharin - Continuous Trap: Select 1 monster on your oponent's side of the field. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, the selected monster cannot attack or change its battle position. During each of your Standby Phases, this card inflicts 500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points. Whent he selected monster is removed from the field, destroy this card] that can seal a monster on DD's field.

Magical Blaast Spell Card	Nightmare Wheel Trap Card

While he is declaring that his play is impregnable, he notices DD looking and acting differently. DD is laughing as his body smokes after receiving the damages. His evil personality is about to appear, and he begins to say something Dr. Collector can't understand. He says that there is nothing to deal with strategy to rule in the worldwide top rank for 10 years. What is really necessary is evil spirits. Dr. Collector even gets confused DD's words about the evil spirits. DD asks Dr. Collector whether Dr. Collector has seen a devil. Dr. Collector answers that he was sentenced to imprisonment for life, so he certainly has a devil. It always is in his heart. However, DD corrects him that he doesn't mean that kind of devil but about the real devil.

DD's hair is tussled and spiked as he is laughing out loud. White aura rises from his body, forming into a white devil. His pressure covers the whole stadium and depresses all audiences. DD finally draws a card while the aura is surging around him. He activates two spell cards [Devil's Sanctuary - Spell: Special Summon 1 Metal Devil Token Dark/Fiend/1/0/0] to the Field. This token can't attack. Direct Damage done to the Metal Devil Token's controller due to it being in Battle is done to the opponent instead. During each of your Standby Phases, pay 1000 Life Points. If you do not pay, destroy the Metal Devil Token] to special summon two metal devil tokens onto the field.

D-Force Spell Card

Continuously, he activates a spell card [D-Force - Spell: Place this card face-up at the top of your deck. When this card is face-up at the top of your deck, you cannot draw during your Draw Phase]. He places it on the top of his deck while saying that he will show the real devil. Dr. Collector merely watches and gets stunned. DD gives three monsters, two metal devil tokens and Enigma Envoy of the Celestial Lord, as tributes to call out his ultimate monster. Meanwhile, the white flames surge outwards. Edo and Judai are shocked while the broadcasting channel is disconnected. Judai tries to hit the screen to bring the signal back as Professor Chronos tells him to stop.

Right after that, Edo gets a call from DD. He has been very concerned about him after the broadcasting stopped, asking whether DD is fine. DD doesn't say much thing but makes to the point that he would like to see Edo. His ship will go near Duel Academia soon, and he hopes to see Edo there. Edo doubts what all of these are about. DD hangs up before Edo is going to say anything.

At that night, Edo rides his cruise up to a larger cruise, walking across the deck and entering a large moonlit hall in the interior of the boat. He calls out for DD, and there appears the shadow of DD on the other side of the hall. DD greets Edo that he hasn't seen him for a while, and he is happy to see him here. Edo looks excited by seeing DD and asks about the result of today match. DD realizes that Edo has no idea what actually happened. He walks closer while asking whether Edo really wants to know the result. Edo replies excitedly that he certainly wants to know whether DD won. DD answers that he absolutely won, but his opponent no longer exists. In other words, Dr. Collector was dead. Edo is very surprised. DD says that Dr. Collector succumbed to the flames that were released and was burned to death. He might also be dead because of the final strike.

Previously at the stadium, people were screaming as flame was licking. They were fleeing in a panic while DD and Collector were dueling in a circle of fire. Three Valkyrias were protecting Dr. Collector with a blue light force field by their special abilities. However, they could block only the attack of a spellcaster monster. DD's ultimate D didn't seem to be that class, so it was about to break through the barrier of three Magician's Valkyrias. An unseen fist hit the force field repeatedly.

Dr. Collector didn't lose his hope since he believed that his card could still seal DD's attack. He opened his face-down trap card Nightmare Wheel as planned. By its effect, Dr. Collector believed that DD's monster couldn't attack. DD claimed that it was still useless. His Ultimate D finally broke through the barrier to destroy Ebon Magician Curran and Nightmare Wheel, reducing Dr. Collector's LP to 0. Without knowing what has just happened, Dr. Collector collapsed in the fire as DD cackled evilly to the air.

Edo is pretty stunned by such a story as well as Ultimate D. The door behind him then shut down, blocking out the moonlight. DD tells Edo that the exit door is the one behind himself, and the door behind Edo will no longer be opened. Edo asks what DD intends to do. DD reminds Edo of their prior promise that DD would keep the champ title for Edo until Edo grew up. Now, it's the time for Edo to keep the promise. He expects Edo to be satisfied if he duels and dies by this card. DD mentions before stepping in and showing the card. Edo hardly believes what he is going to see. DD reveals the truth that it's the card, Ultimate D, Edo has searhed for long. Because he is holding, he is the one who killed Edo's father. Edo looked very shocked by the sudden truth.

Edo	Yes? DD! Are you all right? I was watching the telecast and it just cut off all the sudden.
DD	It's been a while since I've seen you. My ship will be near the Duel Academia in a little while. I'll be looking forward to you being there.
Edo	DD?
DD	It's been a while, Edo. I'm happy to see you again.
Edo	DD? So, how did today's match go?
DD	Ah, that's right, you don't know, do you? You want to know how the duel went?
Edo	Why, of course! Did you win?
DD	Yes, I did win. But the duelist I won against is no longer in this world...Dr. Collector is dead.
Edo	He is?!
DD	He succumbed to the flames that were released and was burned to death. No, maybe it was the shock of my blow that killed him.
Edo	The Ultimate-D?! What's this?
DD	Heh heh heh heh...the only doorways are that one and the one behind me, and that door isn't going to open.
Edo	What do you think you're doing, D-D?
DD	We made a promise before, remember? That'd we have a title match...I would protect my position as champion until you had grown up...I've kept that promise. And today is your turn to keep your promise with me.
Edo	DD...
DD	If you fight this card and you die, it might be what you've wanted.
Edo	Is that card...it can't be!
DD	This is the one you've been looking for, the "Ultimate-D"!
Edo	I-It just can't be...
DD	Correct. The one who killed your father...was me!

Judai	To acquire the conclusion of the destiny, Edo confronts DD, but....
Edo	It's freezing!? My Clocktower Prision! Are you saying that my time has been stopped all time long? Since the date when my dad died?
Judai	Then, the form of ultimate Destiny Hero finally appears. Next, [Finally activated! The Ultimate D Card]. Edo, your own wheel of destiny must be turned on by yourself.
