At the white dorm during night time, Saiou is sitting in front of his laptop and closing his eyes in a dark room. He looks in panic, gets up, and says, " Light! More light! The world shall be flooded in light!!". The, he puts his hands on the desk with anxious face, saying, "But...if that happens, the world will be...". Saiou seems to have conflict among two personalities in his mind. His evil mind appears in the mirror in front of him, saying, "Silence with you! With my light, I'll bury those things dark so that they will never return!". The picture of Mizuchi appears on screen of his laptop. Saiou looks at her face and wonders, "Mizuchi, why such the long face...despite my attempts to flood the world in light!? Well...enough of this. Be gone!". He finally shuts his computer down and releases his white aura while saying, "I'll slice through the darkness with my light and bring about the end of the world!!". The light pierces out from the dorm and far out into the dark sky.

Still in that night, Judai is sleeping in his dorm, but he is woken up by mysterious shining light from the door. He gets up and wonders what the light is. The spirit of Saiou's good personality then appears and explains that it's the light of misfortune that shouldn't shine. Judai looks very surprised by seeing him. Saiou makes straight to the point, giving Judai's one of laser satellite key. He tells him to protect it and not to hand it over to anyone. Saiou's purple eyes glow as Judai gets amazed and opens the key box.

Judai What the...? What the heck is this!?
Saiou It's a Light of Misfortune that must not shine.
Judai Saiou!?
Saiou Yuki Judai ...I'm giving care of this key to you.
Judai Huh?
Saiou You must not, by any means, hand over this key to anyone.

On the other side, Edo is stepping out onto the deck of his private cruise, looking straight to the light pole shining up into the sky from Duel Academia. He turns to the other side and becomes very surprised by seeing Saiou standing there. Saiou steps slower to him, looks at him with sincere eyes, and says, "Edo! That light is a Light of Misfortune that will bring about the end of all living beings. Protect this key...Save the world...". After finishing his mission to give away two laser satellite keys to two heros, the spirit of Saiou's good side disappears. Edo still looks confused and thinks, "What just happened? Why was Saiou out here? What in the world is this key for?" as openning the box and taking out the key.

Evil Saiou certainly gets very mad when he knows that the two laser satellite keys have gone. He talks to himself in front of the mirror. Two hearts in his body are arguing against each other. Evil Saiou asks his good mind in the mirror where he hid them. Saiou in the mirror just says that they are with people able to rule over their destinies. Evil Saiou becomes very angry and requires them back. Saiou in the mirror explains that they should avoid fighting destiny. The destiny of the world now belongs to those two current holders. Evil Saiou can't control his feeling, punching the mirror strongly until his hand gets hurt. He doesn't care anyway but smirks and hopes that he will be able to slice his inner darkness someday. He then raises his hands up and blesses for the light.

Evil Saiou The keys! Our guiding keys! Where did you hide them!?
Good Saiou I left them with those who will rule over their destinies!
Evil Saiou You couldn't! Those precious keys are rightfully mine! I am the rightful master of those keys!! So, be quick about it and give them back!!
Good Saiou You shouldn't fight against destiny. After all, we're no more than on-lookers. The fate of the world is left in the holders of the keys' hands, now.
Evil Saiou That fool!! Heh heh...Heh heh heh...Soon I will slice my inner darkness to shreds! Glory to the light!!

On the following day, Saiou is in his room, placing a tarot card onto the table. It's [The Sun], which actually represents Asuka. Meanwhile, Asuka steps into the room, asking why Saiou called her up here. Saiou looks at her coldly and tells her to wake up. It's time for Asuka's turn to show her true white identity. Saiou's purple eyes begin to glow as Asuka's eyes gradually become blur. She seems to be under his control completely and starts greeting Saiou in the morning in the former way. Asuka is now the chosen one to use her complete deck to smash up Judai. Saiou gives her this order with new deck as well as lets her bring back the precious key of light from him tonight. Asuka replies that she will be completely at your command.

At the living room of Osiris Red, Sho is getting surprised by the news that Saiou appeared in Judai's room last night. Judai told Sho and Kenzan that the key was handed over as showing it to them. Kenzan wonders what the key is for. Judai is afraid that he has no idea either. Edo then steps in and explains that it may be an important key holding the fate of the world. He says while showing his key to people. Judai is surprised by that Edo has also obtained the key. Edo tells him that both of them are obligated to protect these keys with care because the two keys are holding such important meaning.

Judai, Kenzan, and Sho are walking along the hallway of the school. Judai has realized that Edo is another person holding the key. Nobody understands what Saiou is thinking and doing at all. Then, they see Asuka standing in the front. Asuka sees that her opponent whom she has to defeat has finally come. She also understands that Judai has already held the key. Judai asks how Asuka could know about the key. Asuka explains that Saiou actually left the key with Judai, but he told her to get it back. Judai gets confused by her words and asks what she means by that. Asuka doesn't think that she needs any reason. Her duty is just to follow the command of Saiou. Judai still doesn't understand what she means. Sho can feel that Asuka doesn't look normal and acts weirdly today. Kenzan even sees her eyes set. Asuka then challenges Judai into a duel. If Judai wins, she will stop searching for the key from him. However, if she wins, the key must turn back to be with Saiou again. Then, she can get closer to Saiou and become his lower shrine forever.

Sho and Kenzan understand that Asuka needs the duel to draw the conclusion, but they don't understand her reason at all. Judai asks Asuka what's going on with her and tells her to hang on. Meanwhile, Fubuki appears and tells Judai that everything's useless. Their words can't reach Asuka now since she seems to be manipulated by Saiou. Probably more importantly, in the duel with Judai, if Judai is crushed down, Asuka may be like this forever. In other words, if Judai doesn't win, Asuka will be strange like this for the whole life. Fukubi thinks that Saiou is capable of doing this to Asuka. Judai can't stand that and says, "Don't joke with me! You said as if I could let it happen! Well, let's have a duel, Asuka! I will definitely wake you up". Asuka tells him that when the holy-shrine white night falls or tonight, she will rip him off by her new combo. Then, she walks away as Judai looks after her by such serious eyes.

Note: Asuka's white deck is [White Night ~ Shiroki Yoru] deck. It represents the night that is still white or bright. In other words, darkness at night can be illuminated by the power of light. Thus, Saiou told her to duel Judai at night time to match her theme deck..

Judai, Kenzan, Sho, and Fubuki are later together at the main stair of the school. Judai is holding and checking his deck with such strong feeling, but Sho gets concerned by the meaning of holy-shrine White Night that Asuka previously talked about. No matter whether what happens, Judai always battles seriously. Sho warns him that because Asuka looks different from usual herself, she may come out with unexpectable combos. Thus, Judai should be prepared for it. If that's the case, Fubuki wonders whether Judai doesn't want to let him join this fight. He hands over Judai a card and explains that it's the memorable card of Asuka. Judai looks at it, and there appears a magic card with a picture of a girl standing near a swing under a tree and looking towards sunset.

Fubuki reminds himself of his childhood period with Asuka. Once, both of them were playing cards together under a tree. At that time, Fubuki activated this magic card [Swing of Reminiscence ~ Omoi De No Buranko - Magic: {Special Summon 1 Normal Monster from your Graveyard to your side of the field. At the end of this turn, the monster Special Summoned by this card's effect, is destroyed.}]. Asuka seemed to wonder by seeing Fubuki playing this card. Fubuki also wondered whether she could bring its effect into play. Asuka said that she would try her best since she liked that magic card at most. Both of them played until almost dawn. Asuka finally lost, but Fubuki thought that she already tried hard and did her best. He could notice that Asuka was stronger. Asuka looked obviously happy by his words. She asked whether she could play that magic card's effect in someday. Fubuki convinced that she could do so. Thus, Asuka gave him his words that she would keep herself up and tried her best.

As a result, Fubuki is certain that when Asuka sees this magic card, she will be able to remember their childhood's day. Judai gets up with spirit, convincing Fubuki that his strong feeling will be able to bring Asuka back. Fubuki hopes Judai will succeed on it, so he counts on him.

Manjyome later appears from above. He has already heard of the whole story and would like to cooperate with Judai. Judai, Sho, and Kenzan wonder what Manjyome's talking about. Manjyome's supposed to be the one who dragged Asuka into Association of Light. Then, he's saying such silly things to bring her back. Manjyome gets very surprised as if when that happened. He hardly believed that he did such silly things to Asuka. Kenzan and Sho convinced him that Manjyome was actually a bully and a demon. At that time, Manjyome White Thunder attacked Asuka cruelly without any mercy (episode 70). Manjyome still doesn't believe, thinking that everything's a lie. He calls Fubuki his older brother and asks for the confirmation. Fubuki is afraid to say that everything is the truth. Manjyome actually did pushed Asuka so hard into corner in the previous duel. Manjyome feels very upset by what he did to Asuka and falls onto his knees. Judai tries to comfort him that it isn't Manjyome's fault. Sho agrees. The bad thing happened because Manjyome became White Thunder. Kenzan explains that if he had been white Tyranno, he would have done the same thing as Manjyome did (Kenzan was also defeated by Saiou in episode 73, but he wasn't changed into White Kenzan or White Tyranno because his dinosaur DNA in his body saved him).

Note: If Manjyome becomes White Thunder and Asuka becomes White Night, Kenzan should become White Tyranno.

Manjyome I have already heard of the story.
Judai Manjyome?
Manjyome Thunder! If that's the case, I will also cooporate.
Judai Cooperate....you?
Kenzan Why are you talking such selfish things?
Sho That's right. How could the guy like you who was the one who dragged Asuka-San into Association of Light say those words?
Manjyome What are you talking about? This Manjyome Jun has no reason to do such silly things to Tenjoin-Kun.
Judai Didn't you really remember anything?
Manjyome What? What!? I don't know. I don't know that kind of thing.
Kenzan You were bully Thunder!
Sho That's right. Manjyome-Kun was a demon!
Manjyome What a lie! How could I did that silly thing to Tenjoin-Kun? Is that so, older brother? Please tell me that it's just a lie.
Fubuki

There is no reason for you to call me older brother. It's the truth, Manjyome-Kun. You did drive my cute sister, Asuka, psychologically into corner.

Manjyome This is bad. If that's the truth, to recover...how could I...that kind of thing?
Judai No, it isn't Manjyome's fault.
Manjyome Thunder
Judai Thunder
Sho Yes, Thunder was also White Thunder~
Kenzan Yes, yes, if I had been white Tyranno, I would have done the same thing.

Manjyome has understood and accepted everything. In order to help Judai win and bring Asuka back, he gives Judai a card. It's a card which is a part of him or represents him. Manjyome is very certain that if Asuka sees it, that she will undoubtedly be struck by his sincere feeling and recover from sanity. Seeing Manjyome say so, Judai feels that he has to accept it. Manjyome says that he counts on Judai firmly. Sho and Kenzan wonder what's wrong with Judai when they see Judai look weird. Judai says that there is nothing and smiles. Manjyome laughs and says, "My hot feeling towards Asuka can melt the freezing heart of her. Ha ha ha ha~". Judai wonders whether the hot feeling can really melt down ice.

At the duel arena of Duel Academia, Judai and Asuka are ready on the field. Asuka asks Judai for the key. Judai tells her that it's here while showing the key up. Asuka talks to herself that it she can win, she can be a lower shrine to support Saiou. Judai still looks very kind to her and says, "Asuka, please wait. I will definitely make you wake up soon". Both of them standby their duel disks, declaring the duel.

Snow Sprite
Monster Card

The duel between Asuka and Judai begins. First turn comes to Asuka. Drawing a card, she summons [Snow Sprite ~ Yuki No Yousei - 4/1100/700: As long as this card exists face-up on the field, your opponent cannot activate Spell Cards from his/her hand and set Spell Cards cannot be activated in the turn they were in which they were set] onto the field in attack position. By its effect, Judai can't activate any magic card neither from his hand nor on the field. Asuka claims that Judai's magic cards should be sealed by this play. Setting a face-down card, Asuka ends her turn. Fubuki can notice that this deck isn't Asuka's original deck. Manjyome can guess that it should be what Saiou gave her. Sho tells them not to be worried because Judai is holding Manjyome's and Fubuki's feelings into this duel. Thus, he believes that Judai can show his full power only when he plays by that kind of thought.

The turn moves to Judai. He draws a card and declares the movement of Manjyome's warm thought. Sho, Kenzan, and Fubuki wonder what he means. Judai then summons [Ojama Black - 2/0/1000] onto the field in defense position. This card apparently represents Manjyome's feeling. Manjyome then gets up and hopes Asuka will wake up. When he could wake up from the control of Saiou, he realized that he was actually a black guy with dirt and stain. Thus, if Asuaka is a person who also holds such a strength, she should be able to get up and realize herself as well. Fubuki applauds and feels very impressed by Manjyome's words. However, Sho and Kenzan just wonder whether those words can be conveyed to Asuka. Asuka doesn't respond to anybody and doesn't understand what Judai intends to do by sending such a weak monster out. Judai just smirks before setting up a face-down card and ends his turn.

At this moment, Manjyome says with his red face, "Come on Tenjoin-Kun~ You had better come back to me". Fubuki doesn't look happy to his words, so Manjyome explains that he means it doesn't matter whether Asuka returns to him or older brother. Fubuki responds unfriendly, "Could you stop calling me older brother? That's minus 10 points". Kenzan asks what they are talking about. Sho explains that it's merely about complex rival issue.

It's now Asuka's turn. She draws a card and plays the permanent magic [White Night's Fort ~ Hakuyajyou White Night's Fort - Permanent Magic: {Both players are not allowed to activate Trap Cards during their opponent's turn.}]. Once she activates it, a building-like pillars of ice burst out of the ground behind Asuka in a rough formation, coating the arena floor in a sheet of ice and the nearby seats. The white students are all surprised and in panic. Asuka turns to shout at them, telling them to be quiet and bear it. Judai feels very cold and asks what kind of effect this is. Asuka explain its effect that both players can't activate their trap cards on the opponent's turns. Judai thinks that the situation doesn't look good. He has counter trap, Negate Attack, faced down. Nevertheless, it's useless if it can't be activated. Asuka smirks before saying that she could predict that Judai had a face-down trap card. The light can illuminate or reveal everything.

Next, Asuka summons [Illusion Ice Statue ~ Gensou No Hyouzou - 1/0/0: You can only have 1 Illusion Ice Statue on your side of the field. When this card is Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned successfully, this card's ATK and DEF become the original ATK and DEF of 1 monster on your side of the field. As long as this card exists face-up on the field, your opponent cannot select other monsters as an Attack Target] onto the field in attack position. Judai wonders this 0-attack-point monster is. Asuka explains its effect that Judai can't select it as an attack target. Furthermore, it can turn to be a monster with the same attack and defense points as a monster on her own field. Sho still looks confused, but Kenzan seems to understand Asuka's play. That means Illusion Ice Statue disappears and turns to be the second Snow Sprite on Asuka's field.

Asuka begins by the strike of Snow Sprite against Ojama Black. Kenzan feels sorry that Manjyome's feeling was unable to be transferred and understood. Manjyome feels it shouldn't be Black, but he should have given (Ojama) Yellow. Sho and Kenzan think that Manjyome misunderstood the whole thing. Asuka then declares the second Snow Sprite against Judai directly. Judai receives the direct swirling-ice hit, so his LP reduces to 2900 (4000-1100). "Get freezed, both your body and heart", Asuka says coldly. Judai sees Asuka laughing with pleasure inside those words. No matter what, he intends to bring her back to be normal. Although he has high spirit to do that, he feels very cold by the ice hit and the surrounding. Asuka ends her turn at this point. Sho sees that the situation doesn't look good for Judai. Kenzan thinks that it's because Manjyome gave Ojama Black to Judai (Thus, it's beaten up quickly). Manjyome certainly gets mad at Kenzan against his warm feeling, squeezing his neck tightly.

Judai is now holding his hands around his body and trembling. If this situation still continues, he will become very exhausted and his physical and life will be weakened. Thus, he thinks that he should destroy Ice Statue on Asuka's field as soon as possible. The turn moves to him. Drawing a card, Judai gets Fubuki's memorable card, Swing of Reminiscence. He keeps it onto his hand and summons [E-Hero Sparkman - 4/1600/1400] onto the field in attack position. Judai quickly declares its attack against Snow Sprite, which the original form is Illusion Ice Statue. When it's destroyed, Asuka's LP decreases to 3500 (4000+1100-1600). Judai next plans to activate Fubuki's memorable card, but the special effect of Snow Sprite is protecting him from activating any magic card so. As a result, setting up a face-down card, Judai ends his turn. He tells Asuka that next turn should turn to be warm. However, no matter he says, Asuka's heart doesn't shake. In other words, her heart has been so cold and freezed already until she feels nothing. She says that everything she is doing is just for the white world.

Fubuki interrupts the duel, gets up, and calls Asuka. He believes that Asuka will be able to remember her beloved older brother (Judai's face-down card is his memorable card. If he can activate it, Fubuki believes that Asuka will be able to remember him). Asuka looks at her brother with such cold eyes, and says, "I can't hear anything. I can reach only Saiou's voice". Fubuki seems pretty shocked and falls down when Asuka didn't care of him at all.

The turn is now with Asuka. Drawing a card, she activates the magic card [Sacrifice Icicle ~ Ikenie No Hyouchuu - Magic: {When this card is activated, designate 1 spot in your own Monster Card Zone. (The spot cannot have a Monster Card already in it.) Afterwards, the designated Monster Card Zone cannot be used during this Duel. Special Summon 1 Icicle Token (Aqua-Type/WATER/1 Star/ATK 0/DEF ?) This 1 Token can be counted as 2 Tribute Monster for a Tribute Summon.??}] from her hand. According to its effect, Asuka has to set up a spot on a monster card zone and special summon an Icicle token with 0 attack point onto it.

Sacrificing Icicle token, Asuka summons [White Night's Queen - 7/2100/800: This card cannot be Special Summoned. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 card that is set on the field] onto the field in attack position. Sho gets very confused. Considering the level of White Night's Queen, he thinks that two tributes should have been required. Fubuki gets up after falling and explains that Icicle token holds a special effect to be counted as 2 tributes. Asuka describes the effect of White Night's Queen that it can destroy a card set on the field. Judai and Fubuki are very shocked since that face-down card is Swing of Reminiscence, Fubuki's memorable card. Asuka finally breaks out Fubuki's warm heart and memory of siblings in pieces. Fubuki feels very upset, but Judai tells him to hang on. He believes that true Asuka has never forgotten about Fubuki.

Asuka says, "Let's know this! Now, here is my true identity. I was changed to be born and awakened. You had better know my real power!" before declaring the attack of White Night's Queen against E-Hero Sparkman. E-Hero Sparkman is finally destroyed by swirling icestorm as Judai's LP goes down to 2400 (2900+1600-2100). Asuka hasn't done yet. She continues the next attack of Snow Sprite against Judai directly. This further reduces Judai's LP to 1300 (2400-1100). Manjyome sees it such an awful strike as Fubuki thinks that Asuka has been cruel and heartless completely. Judai falls onto his knees. Because it's very cold, his sensation is almost gone. Asuka suggests him surrender since his sultriness doesn't match holy-shrine midnight sun at all. If he just takes a rest, she will let him taste more pain. Asuka then ends her turn here.

"How miserable! I carried Manjyome's and Fubuki-San's feelings on my shoulders, but...What should I do...to melt down that ice-cold heart of Asuka?", Judai thinks while he seems to have no way out at all.

to be continued...

Sho White Night's Fort, Snow Sprite, Cold Sleeper! Asuka-San, your heart's been frozen white down to the very bottom!
Judai What the heck is this! You're so dull! You are not looking cool at all, Asuka!! I can't believe you are dueling the way Saiou told you to!

card information

[The Sun ] - Numerology Number 19
Tarot Card | Major Arcana
Upright Meaning | The Sun is associated to the truth because it brings to light things which otherwise could not be seen. The Sun is associated with happiness, success, achievement, and security.

The Sun would be representing Asuka herself. The Sun means happiness and the one who can bring out light things. This really match Asuka's chracter and her deck theme, White Night deck. Since Judai has affection for Asuka, Saiou knew that she would be the person to turn Judai's heart around. In other words, since Asuka kept Judai warm and happy, Saiou knew that turning her heart cold in a way it would make Judai not able to defeat her. Thus, Saiou lets Asuke be the sun that can shine even during midnight and make it become white night.
