Under the dark red sky and Inside a part of forest at Dual Academia, an Obelisk Blue is dueling against a mysterious duelist. There are Armed Samurai - Ben Kei and Marauding Captain on his field in attack position. The mysterious opponent has a skull tattoo on his right hand. He raises it up, and there appears dark aura emerging from the skull swirling around his arm.

"The skull on my right hand cries out for my victory! Defeat! Defeat! Defeat! Defeat! Let me draw the card that shall cut him down in a single slice! Nought venture, nought shall have! It's worth the price of my life! And letting me draw the one-slash kill card!", the mysterious student mentions while strong wind begins to blow around the area.

"Was this guy really not kidding around? He's the Reaper Duelist from the rumors!", the blue students says.

Then, the mysterious duelist draws a card. There is also a magic card face-up on his field. Once he draws, he declares One Turn Kill to beat the opponent, "Heh heh heh...draw!! Take this! One Turn Kill!". A shadow of the reaper with a scythe appears behind him. The reaper's slash wipes out Armed Samurai - Ben Kei and Marauding Captain, blowing the blue student away. The mysterious duelist laughs out loud after the game ends by his victory.

Later, the mysterious student is sitting beside a log near the lake. He looks a bit crazy and plays with many GX medals. He just murmurs, "Victory...victory...My mountain of victory....". Then, the shadow of the reaper appears behind him and says, "Our deal was that you'd present your soul in exchange to end up victorious. Or have you forgotten that?".

"I'll let you have it, the moment I gain the title of Genex's Number One, and the moment this deck has proven to be the best around...But until then....my victory...", the mysterious student responds. However, he gets fuzzy and passes out before finishing his words. It seems that he has made a promise with the god of death to obtain the victory in GX.

Meanwhile, Judai has reached him. He points to his opponent, and says bravely, "I found you! Reaper Duelist! Duel me!". Anyway, the spirit of the reaper seems to surprise him pretty much. Sho and Kenzan have just come after Judai. Kenzan wonders what that monster is. Judai also wonders and asks directly what the hell it is. The image of the reaper becomes bigger and moves closer to Judai.

The reaper disapears in black cyclone. Judai really wonders what that thing is. Manjyome looks at a card the mysterious duelist is hanging on his chest, takes it out, and throws it to Judai. He thinks that the true identity of that monster may be this card, [The Reaper], one of the 7 wanders transmitted in Duel Academia's North School.

Judai What's that thing?
Manjyome Its true idenity is probably this card.
Judai Manjyome! When have you come here?
Manjyome Thunder! That's "The Reaper" card. It's one of the Seven Wonders passed down in the Duel Academia's North School...its sealed card!

The mysterious duelist is brought into a medical room. Sho and Kenzan are sleeping while Manjyome and Judai are taking care of this mysterious student. Manjyome searchs for information in his PDA and finally finds the profile of this student. He shows it to Judai. This guy is actually a North School student named [Tachibana Ikkaku]. Meanwhile, Tachibana gains his consciousness and tries to get up. First thing he mentions is asking for his deck. Judai tries to calm him down, telling him that his deck is safe over here. He says before giving Tachibaba his duel disk attached with his deck. Tachibaba feels very relieved that his deck is safe. Seeing Tachibana's act, Judai is certain that he must be a good guy. A man who loves his deck very much like this must not be a bad guy at all. Manjyome thinks that Judai is such a too easy-going guy.

Tachibana looks at Judai and Manjyome and realizes their identities very well. They are guys bent on victory over GX tournament with their natural drawing power. However, that will no longer happen since Tachibana declares that he will beat them by his One Turn Kill. Manjyome thinks that Tachibana has such a big mouth and wonders whether he will be able to do as he said. Tachibana looks a bit surprised before realizing that his Reaper card on his chest has gone. He asks what Manjyome has done to his card. Manjyome says that since Tachibana won't be able to use it anymore, he keeps and locks it somewhere else.

Manjyome Ah, here he is...Tachibana Ikkaku, huh? He's from the North School just like I thought.
Tachibana Here is...? My deck! Where's my deck?!
Judai Don't sweat it, man. Your deck's right here.
Tachibana Good, my deck's safe...
Judai You're a good guy, huh?
Tachibana What?
Judai Well, a guy that loves his deck can't be a bad guy, right?
Manjyome What's with the easy-go-lucky jazz?
Tachibana Ah, I know you two! Yuki Judai and Manjyome!
Manjyome Thunder!
Tachibana You're the guys bent on winning Genex with your inhuman drawing power! But that's till today! My One Turn Kill deck will beat the both of you!
Manjyome You certainly talk big enough...but I wonder if you can win now.
Tachibana What? I-It's gone! The Reaper card! Where'd you guys put my Reaper card!?
Manjyome Just so you wouldn't use it anymore, I put it somewhere under lock and key, where you can't get it.

In Manjyome's room at Osiris Red dorm, The Reaper card is kept in a locked safe box. There are three Ojama brother cards on it. Manjyome lets Ojama spirits guard and protect the card. For Manjyome, Ojama Yellow is dedicated to guard The Reaper card so that it can't get out off the box. Manjyome tells Tachibana that he has no idea how dangerous The Reaper card is. Tachibana doesn't think that it's neccessary for Manjyome to do that. Manjyome explains that the legendary The Reaper card can provide drawing power to a duelist in exchange of his soul. Thus, it's sealed at North School as a result of this cursed legend. Judai has just realized the strength of the Reaper duelist that actually comes from this card.

Ojama Yellow Big Brother Manjyome! I won't let The Reaper get outside. Please count on us!
Manjyome You have no idea how dangerous that card can be.
Tachibana That's unneccessary.
Manjyome It's the legendary card that gives its possessor drawing power that can defeat their opponents in a single slash. But it takes the duelist's soul in compensation.
Judai Soul?
Manjyome Ah, it was sealed up in the North School because of its cursed legend.
Judai So the secret of the Reaper Duelist's power is that card...
Tachibana What can you understand?

Tachibana says that Judai and Manjyome talked as if they understood him. He reminds himself of his life at North School. He was once defeated by Devilzoa and Metal Devilzoa of Edogawa, King of North School whom Manjyome used to defeat. Edogawa looked down Tachibana's deck composition by saying, "It's the deck composition that can't be used in real game". Tachibana felt upset since the game shouldn't have been this way if he had been able to draw his trump card. Edogawa thought that the world duel shouldn't be that easy if a guy could claim that if he could have drawn that or if he could have activated this. The way Tachibana's deck was insulted made him cry.

Nobody can understand his feeling that he can't draw. Judai tries to comfort him that the dangerous card was just taken for Tachibana's own sake. Tachibana doesn't care and tells them to shut up. He says, "I don't care how my soul will be. I just want to obtain victory in GX". He also becomes heated up while there is dark aura released from the skull tattoo on his right hand. Judai tells him to calm down. Tachibana doesn't listen. He raises his hand up and calls for The Reaper, "The Reaper! If you would like to get my soul, come back! Then, I can get the victory and prove the pure strength by One Turn Kill". After his words, the strong black wind blows around the medical room until Sho and Kenzan wake up. They wonder what's going on.

At the entrance, the door is open, and there appears Professor Chronos who seems to be controlled by The Reaper completely. Dark aura is surrouned him, and he is holding The Reaper card in his hand. The spirit of Ojama Yellow with a lot of injury reports to Manjyome that they already tried their best to guard The Reaper. However, they seemed to be all beaten up. Manjyome thinks that Ojama brothers are such useless fellows. Tachibana says that he won't let anyone do stupid things to his deck. He then jumps down from the bed, takes The Reaper card back from Professor Chronos, and runs away. When The Reaper card is gone, the black aura surrounding Professor Chronos also disappears. Judai runs after Tachibana quickly.

Judai runs outside Duel Academia's building, looking for Tachibana. Taqchibana calls Judai from the other side while hanging The Reaper card back to his chest. He asks for his wish to the skull on his right hand that he would like to obtain the victory. Judai sees that this isn't good. Tachibana seems to be controlled by The Reaper completely. Judai knows that he has to choice. If Tachibana really wants to duel, he will become his opponent. Judai says before standing by his duel disk. Tachibana challenges him to come him while also standing by his duel disk. Behind him is the shadow of The Reaper. The dark sky becomes cloudy while both of them begin the duel.

First turn is with Judai. He draws a card and summons [E-Hero Clayman - 4/800/2000] onto the field in defense position. At this point, Tachibana say, "First card". Setting up a reversed card, Judai ends his turn. Again, Tachibana counts the number of cards Judai has played on the field, "Second card". Meanwhile, Sho, Kenzan, and Manjyome have just come outside. They are all worried about Judai dueling against the cursed deck with One Turn Kill. Manjyome sees that Tachibana is mastering the draw power of the reaper.

The turn moves to Tachibana. He draws a card and plays the magic card [The Goddess' Temptation ~ Megami No Yuuwaku - Magic: Look at your opponent's hand and if a Level 4 or lower monster is in their hand, you can Special Summon that Monster to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Attack Position]. This card allows Tachibana to look at Judai's hand, select a monster with level 4 or less, and summon it onto Judai's field. Judai, therefore, has to show his cards to Tachibana. There appear E-Hero Sparkman, E-Hero Burst Lady, E-Hero Featherman, and Burst Impact. Tachibana selects to summon E-Hero Sparkman onto Judai's field in attack position. Again, Tachibana counts the number of Judai's card on his field, "Third card", while Judai doesn't understand at all what Tachibana is planning.

Later, Tachibana plays another magic card [The Goddess' Mischief ~ Megami No Akugi - Magic: {Look at your opponent's hand and if a Spell Card is in their hand, set that card in 1 of your opponent's Spell/Trap Zones on their side of the field.}]. Similar to his previous magic card, this card allows him to look at Judai's hand, select, and set up a magic or trap card onto Judai's field. Tachibana remembers that Judai has only one magic card, Burst Impact, so Judai is forced to set it up onto the field. Judai wonders by that Tachibana keeps on playing his cards. Tachibana smirks and says, "Forth card, by this, the preliminary move of One Turn Kill has been done". Judai certainly looks very surprised. On the other side, Sho, Kenzan, and Manjyome move to the other side of the duel. They wonder what Tachibana means by that.

Tachibana sets up his trump card into his duel disk to activate it. It's the magic card [One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw ~ Ichigeki Hissatsu Iai Draw - Magic: Send cards from your Deck to the Graveyard equal to the total number of cards on the Field. Afterwards, draw 1 card from your Deck. If that card is One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw, send that card to the Graveyard, and destroy all cards on the field. For each card destroyed and sent to the Graveyard in this way, inflict 1000 points of damage to the opponent's Life Points. When this card is activated, it cannot be destroyed by the effects of Spell, Trap, or Monster Effects nor can this card be negated]. By its effect, he first has to discard cards in his deck equal to the number of cards on the field. There are only 4 four cards on Judai's field, so four cards (Reload, Magic Stone Excavation, Exchange of the Spirit, and Big Eye) are sent from Tachibana's deck into his graveyard. Next, Tachibana has to draw a card. If it's One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw, he can send it to the graveyard to destroy all cards on the field. In addition, Judai has to receive damages 1000 points for each destroyed card.

People see that Judai has 4 cards on his field (E-Hero Sparkman, E-Hero Clayman, two face-down cards). This means if the condition of One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw is satisfied by Tachibana's next draw, Judai's LP will return to 0 (4000-1000*4) exactly in a turn. Kenzan has just realized why Tachibana had to help Judai set up cards on his field. Manjyome wonders whether this would be the draw power of the reaper. Anyway, Judai argues that everything depends on whether Tachibana can draw One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw. Tachibana says that Judai seems not to understand anything yet. His draw power is enhanced by the skull tattoo on his right hand. Currently, there is some black aura emerging from the skull and swirling around his right arm. At this moment, he raises his hand up and declares to defeat Judai by One Turn Kill. The spirit of the reaper then appears behind him and asks for his wishes of victory or soul. Tachibana certainly selects the victory. He places his hand on his duel disk and prepares to draw. People get worried by coming result. Tachibana finally draws a card and it looks as if he is drawing real Iai sword. The drawing slashes like a sharp light to destroy all cards on Judai's field. Two face-down cards are revealed following by the large scream of Judai.

Note: See the [supplementary] for the whole meanings of Iai and One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw.

episode 91 summarized by Janime/Horoko

Judai is screaming out loud while Tachibana is showing his drawn card, One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw. Because he could draw and get it to satisfy the effect of One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw, he believes that this should be the end of the game. Judai is supposed to get 4000 damage points for his four cards sent to the cemetery. However, Tachibana becomes surprised by seeing Judai standing with 1000 LP left. He doesn't understand why Judai still has some LP left. Judai thinks that it's so close. If his first set up card hadn't been this trap card, he would have been defeated already. Judai shows his trap card [Hero Medal - Trap: When this card is destroyed, instead of going to the Graveyard it is returned to your Deck. At this time, draw 1 card from your Deck]. When this card was destroyed, it didn't go the graveyard but returned to Judai's deck. It also allows Judai to draw one more card. Thus, only E-Hero Sparkman, E-Hero Clayman, and Burst Impact were sent to the cemetery to decrease Judai's LP to 3000 (4000-1000*3).

People seem glad to Judai's smart play. If there is no card sent to the graveyard, no damage is received. Furthermore, Judai had set up Hero Medal in the first turn before Tachibana played The Goddess' Temptation to look at Judai's hand. Thus, Tachibana had no chance to figure out what the set-up card was at all.

Tachibana looks mad by that fact that Judai could dodge his One Turn Kill. Judai sees Tachibana's deck very interesting. Nevertheless, he feels that there is something that isn't enough (Judai always learns an opponent throughout duel. He's very sensitive to any duelist). Tachibana gets more mad and understands that Judai is playing stupidly to his deck. His turn hasn't been done yet. He plays the magic card [The Goddess' Footsteps ~ Megami No Ashioto - Magic: Look at your opponent's hand. Select 1 monster in your opponent's hand with an ATK of 1500 points or less that can be Special Summoned and Special Summon it to the opponent's side of the field in face-up Attack Position. Afterwards, you can Special Summon 1 monster in your hand with an ATK of 1500 or less to your side of the field in Attack Position. The monsters Special Summoned by this card's effect cannot attack during this turn]. Like his previous magic cards, this card allows him to select a monster with 1500 attack points or less on Judai's hand and summons it onto Judai's field in attack position. Tachibana remembers that Judai has E-Hero Featherman left in his hand, so he selects to summon [E-Hero Featherman - 3/1000/1000] onto Judai's field.

Next, The Goddess' Footsteps allows Tachibana to summon [Death Lord - 5/1300/2000: {If this card is destroyed as a result of battle and sent to your Graveyard, Special Summon this card during the End Phase with an ATK of 3000 points. If this card is Special Summon in this way, it cannot be destroyed by card effects. This card can only be Special Summoned by this card's effect once during a duel.}] onto the field in attack position. However, the monster summoned by this magic card's effect can't attack in this turn. Thus, Tachibana has to end his turn here.

Hero Medal
Trap Card
The Goddess' Footsteps
Magic Card
Death Lord
Monster Card

The turn moves to Judai. Judai draws a card and smiles. He's glad that he could draw and get a trump card as Tachibana did. It's Polymerization. He plays it to fuse E-Hero Featherman and E-Hero Busrt Lady on his hand into [E-Hero Flame Wingman - 6/2100/1200: This monster can be summoned only by fusion. When this Monster destroys a Monster as a result of Battle, do direct damage to your opponent equal to the attack points of the destroyed monster]. He calls, "Come on, my favorite card!", and declares its attack against Death Lord. There is big explosion while Death Lord is destroyed. At this point, Tachibana's LP decreases to 3200 (4000+1300-2100). Judai claims another effect of E-Hero Flame Wingman that Tachibana has to receive damages equal to the attack points of destroyed Death Lord. Thus, Tachibana's LP further goes down to 1900 (3200-1300). Sho and Kenzan are glad by that Judai could do well as he always does. Judai then ends his turn at this point.

Tachibana thinks that Judai has such a luck in drawing. He knew all cards on Judai's hand. If Judai hadn't been able to draw a trump card, he wouldn't have been able to defeat Death Lord. This is what he expected. However, the fact was that Judai could draw his trump card to call E-Hero Flame Wingman. It's the draw power that Tachibana really wants. He asks Judai what's wrong if he really needs that kind of power. Anyway, Sho argues rationally that it's about probability. People have to do some research when they are creating their decks. Kenzan and Manjyome seem to agree with Sho. Tachibana says that he did. Nevertheless, he still couldn't get the cards he desired, so he couldn't set up any combo. As a result, he has to depend on draw power of the reaper he has got in his hand. Judai doesn't say a word but listens to Tachibana carefully. Tachibana believes that his deck is strong, so he will the proof with his soul attached.

Tachibana claims the special effect of Death Lord. When it's destroyed in battle, he can revive it back onto the field with 3000 attack points. It also can't be destroyed by any card effect. Death Lord then slashes its scythe, and there are many white spirits emerging around the field, frightening people pretty much. Here is supposed to be the end of Judai's turn.

The turn is now with Tachibana. He draws a card and lets Death Lord attack and destroy E-Hero Flame Wingman. This strike reduces Judai's LP to 100 (1000+2100-3000). Tachibana smirks and says that if he can beat a guy with draw luck like Judai, it will increase brilliancy to his deck. Here is the end of his turn.

It's now Judai's turn. Drawing a card, he summons [Dandelion - 3/300/300: When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, Special Summon 2 "Fluff Tokens" (Plant-Type/WIND/1 Star/ATK 0/DEF 0) to your side of the Field in Defense Mode. The "Fluff Tokens" cannot be used in a Tribute Summon during the turn that they are Special Summoned] onto the field in defense position. He sets up a card, ending his turn. Tachibana wonders whether Judai can no longer draw any trump card. Judai corrects him that all of his cards are trump cards. Tachibana thinks it's just Judai's argument (big mouth without premise).

Spell Reproduction
Magic Card

The turn comes to Tachibana. He draws a card, and gets a key card. He discards two magic cards on his hand into the cemetery to play [Spell Reproduction ~ Mahou Saisei - Magic: Send 2 Spell Cards from your hand to the Graveyard. Select 1 Spell Card from your Graveyard and add it to your hand]. Judai knows the effect of this card well that it can return a magic card from the graveyard onto the hand. The card that Tachibana decides to get back from his cemetery is certainly One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw. Tachibana says that there is one more One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw left in his deck (In order to satisfy the effect of One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw, a player needs another One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw in his deck. Tachibana seems to have three One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw in total inside his deck).

Manjyome wonders whether Tachibana intends to use the draw power of the reaper again. He is uncertain whether Tachibana really needs the victory in GX so much that he has to keep on sacrificing his soul like this. However, Judai argues and thinks differently. He believes that Tachibana attaches his soul into the deck because he merely loves his deck. That Tachibana wants the victory is because he wants to approve the fact that he loves it. In other words, Judai wants to say that Tachibana really loves his deck, so he wants to obtain the victory by his deck to prove that his deck is strong, and nobody else can look down his deck again.

"Don't say as if you understand!", Tachibana yells at Judai.

Judai responds, "No, I understand. I who is opposing you understand your feeling of how you could create your deck. Your deck really surprise me. That's because your thought to excite the opposing opponent is included in the deck". During the game, Judai has realized how much Tachibana loves his deck and just wants someone to see the value of it. He can sense by the fact that Tachibana's deck excites him pretty much.

"You probably just enjoy the duel, but that's just because I have obtained the draw power of the reaper", Tachibana argues. He seems not to accept Judai's thought. He thinks that Judai can enjoy the game because of the power of the reaper.

"That isn't true. If you really love your deck, the deck will give an answer", Judai says confidently. He is certain that Tachibana's deck will show the answer of how much he loves it.

Tachibana begins to get confused by Judai's words. He seems to hurt his head and reminds himself of when he was creating his deck at North School. He thought whether to put some cards into his deck. Some cards would make the winning become very strict. Some cards shouldn't be removed when played for the surprising combo. Finally, he made up the decision in all of those cards and finished up his deck. It's the novel of a man and dreaming One Turn Kill deck. He raised up his deck with proud and looked very happy.

"I see. I was making the deck following my dream. I just want everybody to see my beloved deck", Tachibana thinks and seems to realize his true feeling of creating the deck.

The spirit of the reaper then appears in his mind and tries to convince him back. It says, "What are you hesitaing? Isn't the thing you want the victory? Doesn't you want to prove the strength of your deck to those who thinks your deck is stupid?".

Tachibana again hurts his head and becomes confused. He seems forced but keeps on activating One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw, which he got by the effect of Spell Reproduction. There are three cards on the field in total (Dandelion and a face-down card on Judai's field, and Death Lord on Tachibana's field), so Tachibana first has to discard three cards (Book of Moon, Des Feral Imp, and Mystic Tomato) from his deck into the cemetery to satisfy One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw's condition. Next, he has to draw. If he can get another One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw, 3000 damages (1000*3) will be inflicted to Judai. The power of the skull tattoo on his right hand becomes stronger. Black aura is swirling around his arm. It's the draw power so that Tachibana can draw and gets One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw.

At this moment, Judai has just realized his uncertain feeling about the last card in Tachibana's deck he felt that it wasn't enough. "It's your true heart that belives in your own deck!", Judai replies loudly. Whatever Judai could sense is that Tachibana's deck is actually strong and interesting. However, Tachibana doesn't believe in his deck and depends on the draw power of the reaper.

"Because of the curse on your right hand, it's the proof of our contract that can't be gone. Come on! Draw and catch the victory!", the spirit of the reaper convinces Tachibana and forces him to draw following their agreement.

Tachibana looks confused, but his hand gradually moves closer to his deck to draw. He then says, "Of course, that's what I intend to do". The spirit of the reaper smirks by the fact that Tachibana still seems to be in control. However, Tachibana gets up and takes of The Reaper card he is hanging. He declares, "But I want to trust my own deck. The deck tells me. Deck and duelist are just one thing. There is no room for any outsider!". Tachibana decides to throw The Reaper card away at the same time when the spirit of the reaper disappears. He would like to draw by his strong belief in his deck not by the power of the reaper. Judai looks happy by the fact that Tachibana has finally returned. The cloudy sky is then gone, and the dark night shows the bright moon.

People then are surprised by that Tachibana throws his duel disk up and switches it to his right hand. Manjyome wonders whether Tachibana intends to throw the skull on his right hand away. "Yes, that's it. Your love toward your deck is the real thing", Judai says excitedly (His right hand bearing the tattoo of The Reaper and the source of his dark powers. By switching, he showed that he trusted/loved his deck enough to use its powers instead of The Reaper's powers to decide his victory. His emotions for his deck responded and he got the card he needed). Tachibana looks at his beloved deck and says, "I am sorry my deck. I trust you, so please lend me your power!". He begins to draw and gets One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw. He thanks his deck for this card since he seems to get this card by his strong belief in his deck not by the power of the reaper. Tachibana shows it to Judai and declares the damages that Judai has to receive once he could successafully drew One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw. Strong wind blows over Judai, and there appears big explosion.

Emergency Evasion
Trap Card

Although Judai sees that Tachibana seems to get the answer from his deck already, he doesn't think to be defeated here. He declares the activation of his trap card [Emergency Evasion ~ Kinkyuu Kaihi - Counter Trap: {This card can only be activated when a Spell Card is activated. Remove all monsters on your side of the field from play. After that Spell Card's effect is resolved, draw 1 card from your Deck. If the card you drew is of the same type as a card within the cards removed from play (Monster, Spell, Trap) place {1} card of the same type on your side of the field in its original position.}]. This card could be activated only if a spell card, One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw, is activated. It allows Judai to remove Dandelion from the game. When there's no card sent to his cemetery, Judai doesn't have to receive any damage by the effect of One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw. At this points, Tachibana doesn't look mad but smirks. People feel relieved that Judai could bear and pass it. Judai thinks that it was so close and dangerous.

Note: Judai had activated Emergency Evasion to remove Dandelion from his game before the effect of One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw reached him. To explain, when One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw's field was activated, Judai's field was blank. Emergency Evasion was activated and sent to the cemetery while Dandelion was removed from the game. As a result, there was no card on Judai's field to satisfy the condition of One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw.

Tachibana sees that Judai could dodge his combo again. Judai also duels by the strategy with his deck and heart. Tachibana mentions that he really enjoys the duel with Judai. However, his combo hasn't been finished yet. By the effect of Death Lord, it couldn't be destroyed by a card effect. Thus, it wasn't destroyed by the effect of One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw. Judai looks glad by such good preparation. Although he could dodge the effect of One-Slash Kill! Sword Draw, Tachibana still has Death Lord remaining for the next strike.

When Tachibana is about to declare the attack of Death Lard, Judai interrupts. He can't let Tachibana do that easily and hasn't played another effect of Emergency Evasion yet. After Dandelion was removed from the game, he has to draw a card. If the drawn card is the same type as the removed card, monster (Dandelion), Judai can special resummon it onto the field to protect the attack of Death Lord. However, if he draws and gets either magic or trap card, Tachibana will win (Judai has no monster left to protect the coming attack of Death Lord with 3000 attack points). Judai explains while smiling. Tachibana thinks that it's interesting. This time, Judai will be the one to prove the strength of bond of his deck.

Judai looks very confident before drawing. Then, he draws and actually gets E-Hero Neos. Judai thanks his deck before resummoning Dandelion onto the field in defense position. Tachibana can't hide his feeling and says that this duel with Judai is so fun. Judai alway enjoys the duel with Tachibana. Tachibana then declares the attack of Death Lord against Dandelion. Judai claims the special effect of Dandelion when it's sent to the graveyard. It can leave two [Fluff Tokens] on the field. Tachibana ends his turn at this point.

Neos Force
Trap Card

The last turn comes to Judai. Once he draws a card, Tachibana gets excited and wonders what kind of miracle Judai is gonna show this time. Judai sacrifices two Fluff Tokens to summon [E-Hero Neos - 7/2500/2000] onto the field in attack position. Tachibana can see that Judai could call out his ultimate monster, but he says that his Death Lord still has higher attack points. Judai hasn't done yet. He equips the magic card [Neos Force - Equipment Magic: Equip only to Elemental Hero Neos. If gains 800 ATK. When it destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, inflict damage to your oppontne equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster. During the End Phase shuffle this card into the Deck.] with E-Hero Neos. It can increase the attack points of E-Hero Neos to 3300 (2500+800). Tachibana looks pretty shocked before Judai declares the attack of E-Hero Neos against Death Lord.

When Death Lord is destroyed, Judai declares another effect of Neos Force. Tachibana has to receive additional damages equal to the attack points of the destroyed monster. Thus, Tachibana's LP finally goes down to 0 (1900+3000-3300-3000). Tachibana falls down on the ground with two arms straight out. Judai points his fingers to Tachibana and says his favorite that he wins and he enjoys the duel very much. Tachibana holds his fingers up in V in return, saying that he also enjoyed the duel. The skull tattoo then disappears from his right hand. He has realized that it isn't about victory or defeat, but about fun of duel and his love toward deck. Tachibana looks at his bare backhand and his cards flying in the sky. He begins to cry but still smiles, saying "Thank you my deck. From now on, I count on you na!". Judai, Sho, and Kenzan smile while Manjoume closes his eyes and grins with a scoff from some distance apart from the others.

to be continued...

Judai Have you heard of it, Sho? Professor Chronos and Vice Principal Napoleon are going to dismiss the school.

[ Ichigeki Hissatsu ] & [ Iaido ]

"Ichigeki Hissatsu" is very common in many Japanese martial arts such as Japanese sword (Iaido) or Karate. It means "One strike, One Kill" or you should beat or knock the opponent by one attack. On the other side, "Iai-do" or "The way of sword pulling" refers to a type of Japanese sword martial art played by real swords called Katana. This makes it different from "Kendo", Japanese sword martial art played by bamboo sword. "Iai-do" focuses on various motions of sword drawing, cutting, striking, and correct postures. The players don't have any opponent to strike, but they have to imagine an enemy in their minds and cut them (or you can say cut air).

Anime presents and compares one drawing in Iai-do to knock out the opponent to "One Turn Kill" in Duel Monster. In other words, "Ichigeki Hissatsu" represents "One Turn Kill", and "Iai Draw or Sword Draw" represents "Card drawing " to kill the opponent.

In GX [episode 09], there is some similar concept about killing the opponent by one strike. Kumazo (Hayato's father) plays druken deck with One Strike One Sword against Hayato. You can go back and read it by yourself.
