The intensive game between Manjyome White Thunder and Judai
is continued. Judai is getting stunned by the ultimate monster,
White Knight's Lord, that Manjyome has just summoned. Meanwhile,
Kenzan is getting worried about Judai, so is Sho who is
watching at the duel while hiding inside a blue trash bin
behind Edo and Kenzan. Manjyome mentions that this is the
card he has got from Saiou-Sama in exchange of his loyalty
to Association of Light, whose road is towards brilliancy
of pure white. Judai feels ridiculous and asks what exactly
the brightness of pure white Manjyome's talking about. He
reveals the truth that Manjyome is an indifferent guy who
didn't wash his uniform for a half of a year. Manjyome certainly
looks very shocked. Judai knows Manjyome's normal behavior
pretty well. In Osiris Red dining room, Manjyome always
cleaned spill of soy sauce on the table by his sleeve. Thus,
his black uniform contains such sour smell. Judai says while
pointing to the black uniform he previous placed on the
rock statue. He wants to say that Manjyome isn't a clean-white
guy but actually a dirty guy suitable for black one. Manjyome
gets mad and yells Judai. He wonders whether Judai doesn't
know how to approach by himself when a bear is during hibernation
(In other words, Judai shouldn't have provoked Manjyome
who was still calm like a bear during hibernation).
Kenzan understands it's the preparation for the
hibernation. Edo shakes his head since there seems to be
no relation at all.
Manjyome explains the effect of White Knight's Lord that
although it has 2000 attack points, its strength points
can increas by 300 points following the effect of White
Knight's Swordsman in the cemetery. Thus, the total attack
points become 2300 (2000+300). He says that it doesn't matter
how many trashes Judai has. They are all useless to oppose
his monster. Ojama Yellow begins to get scared of such a
powerful monster with 2300 points. Thus, it turns to ask
Judai for passing. It knows that Judai is kind to let them
out, but they have just realized that they have some urgent
business to deal with. Ojama Green claims that their mother
has such serious ill while Ojama Black claims that their
father is in operation. Judai seems tired of their stupid
excuses and cowardness. At this moment, Manjyome tells him
that he doesn't have time to play with the trash. Judai
looks happy and wonders whether Manjyome is actually able
to see the spirits of Ojama brothers. He calls his name
just "Manjyome",
so the white students have to correct it "White
Thunder!". Manjyome doesn't think that it matters
whether he can see them. He is even more tired of Judai's
big-stupid acting.

The turn is now with Manjyome. He draws a card and declares
the attack of White Knight's Lord. Ojama Brothers all get
frightened. Ojama Yellow and Ojama Green hold together and
starts to cry (Ojama Yellow calls Ojama Green "Old
Brother-Chan" as Ojama Green calls Ojama Yellow
"Younger Brother!").
Ojama Black tells them to stop crying shakily because only
1 not all of them will be beaten. Thus, Ojama Black and
Ojama Green agree that the target should be their superior
youngest brother, Ojama Yellow. They are trying to pull
Ojama Yellow out as Ojama Yellow gets very scared. Judai
is afraid that he can't help them since the target depends
on Manjyome. Manjyome finally declares his attack target
towards Ojama Black. Ojama Black is pretty shocked, jumps
up, and yells "It's me!!?".
It's then beaten by White Knight's Lord. Manjyome next activates
the special effect of White Knight's Lord. When this monster
successfully destroys a monster in battle, Judai has to
receive direct 300 damages. Thus, his LP reduces to 100
(400-300).
Seeing Judai remain only 100 LP, Manjyome is convinced
that the result should be determined already. Judai says
that he hasn't given up his attempt to turn Manjyome back
to be normal yet. However, Ojama Yellow and Ojama Green
seem to give up and obviously discouraged. Judai asks what
he can do if they give up. He tries to let them remind of
the days when they had fun with Manjyome. Ojama brothers
recall their memory of when Manjyome had fun with them (rather
than they had fun with Manjyome). Once at Osiris Red, Manjyome
was laughing and playing by writing dirty texts on Ojama
Yellow card, hanging Ojama Black card with a fishing rot
and using it as a bet for Pharaoh, and throwing Ojama cards
into a bucket. Ojama Yellow and Ojama Green gain their fight
spirit back after thinking. They turn back in fighting mode,
hoping to return those memories back (It's doubtful whether
they really want to get back to that time). That's the fighting
spirit that Judai wants from them.

The turn comes with Judai. He draws a card and plays Pot
of Greed to draw additional two cards, Polymerization and
Mystik Wok. He then plays Polymerization to fuse Ojama Yellow
and Ojama Green into [Ojama Knight
- 5/0/2500: When this card is face-up on the field, up to 2 of your opponent's Monster Card zones can not be used]. By the special effect of Ojama
Knight, it launches Ojama Shinai beam (Please see the next
note) towards Manjyome's field, and there appear aunt grandma
Yellow (Ojama Baba) and uncle Ojama Green (Ojama Jiji) sitting
and having some tea. Grandpa Ojama Green sees that there
seems much trouble, but Grandma Ojama Yellow hopes they
shouldn't be a bother. Judai explains the special effect
of Ojama Knight that as long as this monster is on the field,
two monster card zones on Manjyome's side of the field can't
be in play. Thus, it seems that grandma Ojama Yellow and
grandpa Ojama Green are placed onto Manjyome's field forcefully
to block two of his monster slots. Manjyome gets annoyed
by them, dances around, and tries to let them get away.
Grandma Ojama Yellow agrees that what Grandpa Ojama Green
previously said may be right.
Note: The name of Ojama Knight's effect
is "Ojama shinai to' Beam"
or "Don't be a bother Ojama Beam".
Grandma Ojama Yellow and Grandpa Ojama Green end their dialogue
with "Ojama shinai to"which
is typically what old people say when they live with a younger
member of the family ("I don't
want to become a bother," or something to that
extent.)
Next, Judai plays the magic card [Shield
Attack - Equipment Magic: Switch the ATK and DEF of the
Equipped Monster] and equips it with Ojama Knight.
It can switch its attack and defense points. In other words,
Ojama Knight's attack points become 2500 instead of 0. At
this point, Judai claims that Ojama Knight has higher attack
points than White Knight's Lord. Ojama Knight once approaches
into White Knight's Lord and tries to cut it by its sword.
However, some green barrier appears to block the strike
and cut the sword into two pieces. Manjyome feels sorry
to Judai before explaining another effect of White Knight's
Lord that all battle damage it recieves is reduced to 0.
Thus, it's a monster impossible to be destroyed in battle.
Judai feels sorry to Ojama Knight before playing the magic
card [Mystik Wok ~ Shimpi No Chuukanabe
- Instant Magic: Offer 1 monster on your side of the field
as a Tribute. Select the ATK or DEF of the Tributed monster,
and increase your Life Points by the same amount]
form his hand. A big-black wok then appears and consumes
Ojama Knight on Judai's field, grandma Ojama Yellow, and
grandpa Ojama Green on Manjyome's field in. They are all
fried up and down around the wok.
| Grandpa
Ojama Green |
I
can't help but notice we're flipping around. |
| Grandma
Ojama Yellow |
Aye,
we are being flipped around. |
| Grandpa Ojama Green |
Then I guess we shouldn't be a bother
then.... |
Due to the effect of Mystik Wok, Judai sacrifices Ojama
Knight fried into the wok to increase his LP by its attack
points. Therefore, his LP goes up to 2600 (2500+100). Since
Ojama Knight's sent to cemetery, grandma Ojama Yellow and
grandpa Ojama Green created as a result of Ojama Knight's
special effect must also be gone. They, therefore, were
fried with Ojama Knight in the wok. Anyway, they actually
aren't a monster or token, just having created to block
Manjyome's two monster slots. Thus, they don't result in
increasing Judai's attack points.

Magic Card |
This is what Manjyome wants since grandma Ojama Yellow
and grandpa Ojama Green annoyed him from the beginning by
blocking his monster slots. Judai then activates the last
card [Ojamandala - Magic: You can
only activate this card if a Ojama Yellow, Ojama Green,
and Ojama Black are present in your Cemetery. Pay 1000 Life
Points and Special Summon a Ojama Yellow, Ojama Green, and
Ojama Black from your Cemetery to the Field] on his
hand. He can pay 1000 LP to return three Ojama brothers
onto his field in defense position. His LP reduces to 1600
(2600-1000). Kenzan looks impressed by Judai's smart play.
If Judai hadn't revived his LP, he wouldn't have been able
to summon three Ojama Brothers to defend himself. Manjyome
thinks that it's just a temporizing solution.
It's now Manjyome's turn. He draws a card and activate
it, the magic card [Hell Gauntlet
- Equipment Magic: Tribute a Monster on your Field in order
to add on an additional attack to the Equipped Monster's
already original attack. This effect's added attack cannot
be used towards attacking the opposing player directly].
Manjyome equips it with White Knight's Lord and explains
its effect before activating another magic card [Stray
Lambs ~ Mayoeru Kohitsuji - When you activate this card,
you cannot Normal Summon, Flip Summon or Special Summon
during this turn. Special Summon 2 Lamb Tokens (Beast-Type/EARTH/1
Star/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position on your side of the
field]. White Knight's Lord satisfies Hell Gauntlet's
effect by one Stray Lamb token, attacking and destroying
Ojama Black.
Due to the special effect of White Knight's Lord, it can
deal direct damages equal to 300 points for each destroyed
monster. Thus, Judai's LP decreases to 1300 (1600-300).
Manjyome keeps on playing the effect of Hell Gauntlet equipped
with White Knight's Lord, sacrificing the last Stray Lamb
so that White Knight's Lord can do another attack to destroy
Ojama Green. Repeatedly, Judai has to receive another 300
direct damages. His LP further decreases to 1000 (1300-300).
Sho looks pretty shocked by seeing Judai receive damage
until he unintentionally moves up and exposes himself a
bit from the trash bin. Kenzan hears some weird sound from
behind, turning back to takes a look. Sho hurries to hide
himself back into the bin, so Kenzan sees nothing. Anyway,
Kenzan is heat up and says, "What
is Big Brother doing!?" , before kicking the
trash bin to release his anger. The trash bin rolls down
along the hill as Sho is rolled up inside. Luckily, Sho
can get out before the trash bin falls away.
Judai is very impressed by Manjyome's play. Manjyome claims
that he still has the normal attack of White Knight's Lord
left. The previous two attacks were just the additional
attacks as a result of Hell Gauntlet's effect. Ojama Yellow
begins to appeal, "Big Brother,
Big Brother Manjyome, do you really forget about me?".
Manjyome replies coldly, "I have
never remembered letting disgusting monsters like you call
me Big Brother!". Ojama looks very scared before
Manjyome declares the attack of White Knight's Lord against
it. Again, Judai has to receive additional 300 damages,
so his LP goes down to 700 (1000-300).

At this moment, Judai activates the effect of his permanent
trap, Over-Limit. He has to pay 500 LP to resummon Ojama
Yellow from the graveyard onto the field in defense position.
Thus, his LP further decreases to 200 (700-500). Ojama Yellow
returns with a lot of injury on its body. Manjyome gets
more mad and asks, "Judai, why
are you so attached to that trash?". Judai answers,
"I just think to use this way
to return you to be normal". Seeing Ojama Yellow
collapsing, Judai is worried and asks whether it's okey.
Ojama Yellow replies, "I am fine.
No matter how much I am beaten up, I don't care. Whatever
I can't stand is that Big Brother Manjyome can't remember
us. Big Brother Manjyome, do you really forget us?".
It says while weeping, finally crying heavily. Judai feels
sorry to it and looks at Manjyome. At this moment, Manjyome
seems to get hurt at his head. He doesn't understand this
weird feeling full of misery and sympathy at all. Judai
pleads Manjyome, "Please remember
it, Manjyome! Please recall it! This is your friend, isn't
it?". Manjyome looks a bit confused by this
friend Judai's talking about.

- second period
episode 88 summarized by Janime/Horoko |
|
Judai is trying so hard to recall Manjyome's memory while
Ojama Yellow is still crying heavily. Judai tries to convince
Manjyome that Ojama Brothers were the ones who helped Manjyome
to become the top of the North School (episode
24) and even helped to release Manjyome from
the binding of his brothers (episode
35). The suitable uniform for Manjyome is supposed
to be the black not white one. Manjyome gets more confused
and has just seen some black stain on the white uniform
on his left arm. He remembered that, once in the white dining
room, he rubbed his sleeve on the table until it got dirty.
The light from the sun was so bright until it consumed everything
of Manjyome. Manjyome has just recognized that the light
really took his real existence, and he actually isn't the
white person. He's supposed to be a stubborn guy with dirt,
stain, and impurity. The three Ojama brothers convince Manjyome
by saying that it's the strength of bond of friends and
the importance of friendship. Anyway, Manjyome ends up by
saying that inferiors have others below them (Manjyome used
to say these similar words in episode
35. He still doesn't forget of what he leared
at the low level class). Thus, the three Ojama brothers
are knocked out by his answer because Manjyome's words.
When Manjyome has finally got up and wonders why he has
been in the white uniform and acts as if he doesn't know
White Knight's Lord. He also wonders why his monsters have
been on Judai's field. Judai and Ojama Yellow look very
happy, thinking that Manjyome should return to be normal
already. Anyway, Manjyome accuses that Judai stole his cards.
Judai's knocked out, telling Manjyome not to kid him like
this. He wonders whether Manjyome really doesn't remember
anything. He and Ojama Yellow tried so hard to bring him
back and said many impressive words. Manjyome is afraid
to say that he can't remember anything at all. Judai says
that Manjyome has been controlled by Saiou. The monster
on Manjyome's field is the proof of his loyalty to Association
of Light. Manjyome looks confused by when this kind of thing
happened. He recalls himself when he dueled against Saiou.
After that, his memory seemed to be gone. Manjyome can no
longer stand the awful white uniform. He takes it out and
puts on his original black uniform. He doesn't like the
white one that apparently shows dirt and stain. He is the
duelist with the heart of darkness and following the road
of darkness. Manjyome gives his sign to everybody to start
counting, ending with his brand name "Manjyome
Thunder!".

There is thunder once after Manjyome finishes his words.
"We did it. All right! Manjoume
Thunder's back in action!!", Judai yells happiliy
while clapping his hand with Ojama Yellow. Edo has just
realized that the group of Association of Light is under
of Saiou's mind control. Behind him and Kenzan is Sho who
has just returned and is hiding himself in little bush.
Manjyome says that he doesn't understand the situation very
well; however, one thing he understands is that his duel
against Judai is real. Judai and Ojama Yellow look so glad.
Anyway, Manjyome says that before keeping on the duel, he
has something to do first.
Ojama Yellow looks surprised what its big brother intends
to do. Manjyome then plays the magic card [Cemetery
Change - Magic: Pay 1000 Life Points. Destroy all Monsters
on the Field and switch Cemeteries with your opponent].
He has to pay 1000 LP to play this card to destroy all monsters
on the field. Thus, his LP decreases to 2300 (3300-1000).
Ojama Yellow looks pretty shocked before exploding with
White Knight's Lord. After that, Judai has to exchange all
cards in his cemetery with Manjyome's. Judai looks a bit
surprised while Manjyome walks into him. He says, "That's
right, Judai. Before I will duel with you, give me back
my deck you stole from me". Judai is afraid
to say that he didn't, but Manjyome doesn't listen to his
claim anyway.
Manjyome then activates his magic card [Hell's
Transaction ~ Jigoku No Torihiki - Permanent Magic: {Special
Summon 1 Monster with an attack strength of 2000 or more
that is in your opponent's Cemetery to their field in order
to add 1 Magic card in your own Cemetery to your hand.}].
It allows him to summon White Knight's Lord in Judai's graveyard
onto Judai's field. Instead, he can get back Ojamandala
from his cemetery on hand. Judai doesn't understand why
Manjyome selected to summon this monster because it's supposed
to be his ultimate card. That doesn't concern Manjyome at
all. He next plays Ojamandala to summon three Ojama Brothers
onto the field in defense position. As a result of Ojamandala's
effect, Manjyome's LP decreases to 1300 (2300-1000).

Three Ojama brothers are glad to return. They believe that
Manjyome doesn't abandon them. Ojama Black tells its Big
Brother that they were bullied by Judai. Judai looks pretty
shocked by this excuse. He's supposed to be the one who
saved them. Manjyome understands that it might happen, but
Judai thinks Manjyome doesn't understand anything at all.
Manjyome then encourages three Ojama brothers to crush down
Saiou's card. Judai feels that he's a bad guy and dupe.
Meanwhile, Kenzan thinks that Judai is a fool to trust them
easily. He says and turns back, so Sho has to hide himself
down into bush.

The turn is now with Judai. He doesn't think that this
is the normal state to duel. He then draws a card and declares
the attack of White Knight's Lord against Ojama Yellow.
When Ojama Yellow's destroyed, Judai activates the special
of White Knight's Lord to deal 300 direct damages to Manjyome.
Thus, Manjyome's LP reduces to 1000 (1300-300). Ojama brothers
get angry to how dare Judai did to their Big Brother. Judai
holds them on and explains that he would have been beaten
if he had taken it easy on Manjyome. Manjyome says, "Don't
be worried, I will protect you all". Here seems
to be the end of Judai's turn.
|
Goblin
Navigator
Magic Card |
The turn moves to Manjyome. He draws a card, playing the
magic card [Goblin Navigator ~ Goblin
No Koushoujin - Permanent Magic: Once per turn, reduce Battle
Damage to a Monster that exists on your side of the Field
to 0. When this effect is used, the opposing player draws
1 card from his/her's deck]. He explains its effect
before ending his turn quickly.
Judai thinks that it's time for him to become serious.
The turn then moves to him. Drawing a card, Judai summons
[N-Glowmoss - 3/300/900: When this
card is in battle, verify the top card of your opponent's
deck and according to that card, activate one of the following
effects. Your opponent can draw 1 card from their deck,
but when your opponent doesn't draw that card, place 2 cards
from your own deck into the Cemetery.1) If it is a Magic
card, you can attack your opponent directly. 2) If it is
a Monster card, this card's battle is ended. 3) If it is
a Trap card, this card is switched to defense mode]
onto the field in attack position. Once N-Glowmoss is in
battle, it can identify the top card on Manjyome's deck.
It also allows Manjyome to draw a card. Manjyome then draws
a card and shows it to Judai. It's the magic card Silent
Dead.
According to the effect of N-Glowmoss, when Manjyome could
draw the magic card, Judai can let his N-Glowmoss attack
Manjyome directly. Manjyome receives the direct hit, so
his LP decreases to 700 (1000-300). Next, Judai declares
the attack of White Knight's Lord against Ojama Green. At
this moment, Manjyome activates the permanent effect of
Goblin Navigator. It reduces the battle damage that Ojama
Green will receive to 0, allowing Judai to draw a card.
Thus, the attack of White Knight's Lord is reflected, and
Ojama Green is still safe on the field. Here is the end
of Judai's turn.
The turn comes back to Manjyome. He draws a card and plays
[Silent Dead ~ Moku Suru Shisha -
Special Summon 1 Normal Monster from your Graveyard to the
Field in face-up Defense Mode. As long as the Special Summoned
card remains face-up on the Field, it can't attack].
It allows Manjyome to call Ojama Yellow from the graveyard
back onto the field in defense position. Ojama Yellow thanks
Manjyome for resummoning it back. Anyway, three Ojama brothers
hold together and cry because they are scared of such powerful
monster, White Knight's Lord. Manjyome comforts them, "Don't
cry! You are S cards in my deck and won't be defeated by
Saiou's cards at all". Three Ojama Brothers
are very impressed by Manjyome's words, but also feel uncertain.
Manjyome tells them to stop mumbling and says that he will
show the answer. He points at Judai and further says, "That
foolish duelist who depends only on the strength of cards,
show him your strength of bond!". Judai responds,
"It's too good".
Those words're supposed to be for Manjyome when he couldn't
remember anything. They make Judai become a bad guy completely.
Next, Manjyome plays [Buried Fate
~ Maisousareta Unmei - Magic: {When a Magic card the opposing
player has used in this duel is not their Cemetery, add
1 Magic Card of the same name in your Cemetery to your hand.}].
According to its effect, when a magic card Judai has used
in this duel isn't in his cemetery (Manjyome and Judai have
already switched their graveyards), Manjyome can get a magic
card, Ojama Delta Hurricane, from his cemetery onto his
hand. He certainly plays it and calls the movement of three
Ojama brothers.
Three Ojama brothers fly up into the sky, creating strong
hurricane to destroy White Knight's Lord and N-Glowmoss
on Judai's field. They turn back to Manjyome and look happy
by their success on defeating Saiou's monster. Manjyome
smirks before his LP decreases to 0. Three Ojama brothers
don't understand why Manjyome turns to be defeated. Manjyome
explains the last special effect of White Knight's Lord
that when it's destroyed by the opponent's card effect,
it can inflict direct 1000 damages to the opponent. Therefore,
Manjyome had to recieve direct 1000 damages, and this reduced
his LP to 0 (700-1000). Three Ojama brothers feel sorry
to their big brother before disappearing.
Judai walks in and notes that Manjyome should know this
effect of White Knight's Lord pretty well, but he's still
stubborn to destroy it. Edo wonders whether Judai could
again rebound the power of Saiou. Kenzan looks at Edo and
asks why Manjyome decided to do that despite the fact that
he knew the consequence. Edo says that Manjyome just wanted
to destroy Saiou's monster rather than to get the victory.
It's the monster that he had to destroy no matter what.
Edo understands this feeling of Manjyome well. Judai then
walks back to Kenzan, Edo, and Sho. Kenzan asks about Manjyome's
medal. Judai replies that because Manjyome couldn't remember
anything in this duel, this game becomes no count. Edo sees
Judai such a soft and easy-going guy as usual. Judai tells
Edo not to say such serious things, and Edo just tells him
to do what he wants. Meanwhile, Sho hiding himself in little
bush is jumping away from the group. Nobody realizes that
he has sneaked into the group during the whole duel.
Manjyome then gets up and looks up at Duel Academia building,
seeing Asuka and Misawa standing over there. He looks a
bit surprised by seeing them in white uniform before realizing
what he did to Asuka (He ignores Misawa completely). Manjyome
puts his hand on his chest and can't help accepting that
Asuka's thought has pierced into his empty heart. The spirit
of Ojama Black appears and wonders whether Big Brother Manjyome
isn't supposed to be attachted just only to defeating Judai.
The spirit of Ojama Green tells Ojama Black to shut up.
People can't say because they don't know the fact of how
Manjyome really feels. The spirit of Ojama Yellow is just
very impressed. It says that Manjyome begins to bury the
blank memory with delusion. Asuka and Misawa are then about
to leave. Manjyome lastly convinces himself, "Tenjoin-Kun,
one day, I, Manjoume Thunder will show you the power of
my love!".

to be continued...
