At Duel Academia, a mysterious guy is describing
the scene of the school, "What
a scenery, Duel Academia~ The true shore of beach and the
world duel class are consumed~ The stage is shortage ~ The
audiences are the gods ~ We can't be defeated by Amateur-San
in the world of duel show. Now then, it's an ordinary game,
a game~". He finishes his introduction words
following by the swirling of Sakura (Cherry Tree).
Note: He speaks in a poem
term or when people say in Kabuki play.
Meanwhile, Sho, Judai, and Kenzan are climbing
up to a hill to look for some opponents. Sho is walking
behind and feeling very exhausted. He doesn't think that
they can find any opponent up here. Judai doesn't think
so. Many pro and amateur should already be on this island
for GX World tournament, so he believes that someone must
be here. Anyway, Kenzan doesn't either why Judai has to
look for an opponent on the high place like this. Sho murmurs,
"Climb up to get the air or whatever?".
He is supposed to say that there is nothing up here, and
Judai is wasting time doing this. Judai looks at Sho and
gets excited, wondering whether Sho wants to become his
opponent. Thus, he prepares this duel disk for the match.
Sho is afraid and thinks that Judai may be kidding. Kenzan
hopes this game should be fun, telling Sho to try his best.
Judai, somehow, tells them all to have a three-duel match.
Sho and Kenzan begin to cry because they don't want to duel
against Judai at all. Suddenly, they see Sakura swirling
around (Kenzan calls it "Sakura
Fubuki" or "Cherry
Blossom") coming by the voice of the mysterious
guy. On the top of the hill, the guy is getting dressed
by the traditional Japanese costume, Kubuki uniform, and
his face is made up with the red patterns looking like Kabuki
mask. He says, "There, that group!
Who will be my opponent?".

Judai |
Really,
only I'm wandering around freely. |
Kenzan |
Marufuji-sempai.
|
Sho |
So,
to find an opponent, you come to places like this..
There is no one nowhere. |
Judai |
No.
In this island, many pros are here. Somebody must be
around. |
Kenzan |
But
why in high places though? |
Sho |
He
means that big smokes rise high. |
Judai |
Ah!
Sho, you! I know, you wanted to be my opponent. |
Sho |
No
way!! |
Kenzan |
Kukyakyakya~
This should be fun. Both of you, do well~ |
Judai
|
Who
wants to do first? Let's do battle royal together~ |
Kenzan |
Big-brother.... |
Sho |
Big-brother.... |
Judai
|
What
is is? |
Kenzan |
Sakura wind saurus? |
| Kabukid |
Now, you common pears over there, who
is my opponent? |
Judai and Kenzan are getting surprised by
who the mysterious guy is. Sho asks whether they don't know
him, a famous pro duelist. Judai is afraid that he has never
heard of it. The guy introduces himself as the star of showmanship,
the champ of the enter (entertainment) pro league named
[Kabukid]. Sho thinks that
he's just a cosplay duelist. Only Judai thinks that he's
so cool. Then, Kabukid asks whether Judai is interested
in dueling with him. Judai, of course, agrees quickly. That's
what he has been up here for. Kabukid is glad that Judai
accepts the duel, saying that those yellow guys, Sho and
Kenzan, are lucky to see the duel (or the show).
Note: Kabukid calls Judai
"Nii-Chan" which
means "Brother" or
"Senior". It's the
word he calls an audience at higher level to give the respect
(The audience is a god for the player).
Kabukid and Judai are ready on the top of
the hill where is such a nice scene for Kabuki stage. Judai
introduces himself his full name and bows to Kabukid. Kabukid
could see the proper greeting from him. On the other side,
Sho and Kenzan are worried by whether Judai's gonna be okey
with the pro champ. Judai thinks that it doesn't look cool
by the fact that he refuses to duel because he is afraid.
Whatever he thinks is just to have a fun duel with Kabukid.
Seeing that Judai just wants to have fun, Kabukid turns
his face away. He feels that this may be what an amateur
can mostly think of, but that's fine for his active feeling.
Meanwhile, Sho and Kenzan have just noticed Professor Chronos
and Vice Principal Napoleon sitting under a tree on the
other side, having a tea, and watching the duel. Although
the school doesn't have TV broadcast, they can see the live
game here. Of course, they can't miss this match because
they are also the fans of Kabukid.
Judai |
What
is it, him? |
Kenzan |
Very
lurid. |
Sho |
You
two, don't you know? He's very famous pro-duelist. |
Kenzan |
Eh? |
Judai |
Eh? |
| Kabukid |
Eng,
how can it be? You do not know about me, it's preposterous. |
Judai |
Well...
I did't hear about you that's all. |
| Kabukid |
As
me!! I'm flower of duelist, showmanship! Inter-Pro League
champion. The mighty high name 'Kabukid' |
Kenzan |
Whoa |
Sho
|
Cosplay
Duelist~ |
Judai
|
Wow!
Cool! |
| Kabukid |
Eng?
Hey, you onii-chan with red clothes! |
Judai
|
Eh?
Me? |
| Kabukid |
Yes. How is it? Dueling me? |
Judai
|
Ah!!
I'll do~ I'll do~ that's why I came here as well. |
| Kabukid |
Okay,
it's decided then. Those yellowies that are stuck next
to you are lucky. Because they get to watch my duel
with free of charge.
('yellowies' can mean 'cheapskate'
as well) |
Judai
|
I'm
Yuki Judai. Thanks. |
| Kabukid |
Niiice.
Well mannered. |
Sho
|
Big
Brother, are you okay? |
Kenzan |
They
say he's pro champ. |
Judai
|
It's
bad if you don't duel because you're scared. I want
to enjoy duel with him as much as possible. |
| Kabukid |
You want to enjoy duel? Ah~ so is rookie like this. |
Judai
|
Eh? |
| Kabukid |
Well,
okay. Let's see your skils. It seems that you have your
confidence. |
Judai
|
Of
course~ |
Sho
|
Hum?
It's Chronos sensei and vice principal Napolean. |
Kenzan |
When
did they.... |
Napoleon |
Though watching it by TV on academia is nice, |
Chronos |
It's better to see actual. We'll get autograph of his
later. |
Napoleon |
We're
fan of Kabukid. |
Chronos |
Yes. |
When both of them are ready, the duel begins.
First turn comes to Kabukid. He draws a card and plays the
field magic card [Kabuki Stage - Ohashi
~ Kabuki Butai - Ohashi - Field Magic: {When either player
Normal Summons or Special Summons a Monster, they must summon
it in Attack Mode. When one of your Monsters has recieved
an opponent's attack, Special Summon 1 Level 4 monster from
your hand in Attack Mode. By sending this card to the Cemetery,
You can search your Deck for 1 card with Kabuki Stage in
its name and activate it. This effect can only be used once
per turn.}], changing the field into a traditional
Japanese Kabuki stage. Judai finds himself on a runway or
stage path (Hanamichi) connected to the stage. The scene
is open, and there appears the bridge theme. Kabukid is
glad to see that Judai seems to know this path well; nevertheless,
it will be the runway to the defeat for him. Professor Chronos
and Vice Principal Napoleon get excited by what they have
waited has finally come. It's Kabukid's speciality or Kabuki
Stage. Kenzan wonders which side the teachers are with.
Sho doesn't care because they always act like that. Furthermore,
he is more interested in what kind of effect Kabubi Stage
has.
There is a flower (player) on the stage. Kabukid
says before he summons [Yoshitsune
the Tengu Beauty ~ Renjin Tengu - Yoshi Tsune - 4/800/800:
{When a Monster with an ATK of 1000 or higher attacks this
card while it is in Attack Mode, this card switches to Defense
Mode. Once per turn while this card is in defense mode,
this card cannot be destroyed as a result of battle.}]
onto the field in an attack position. He then ends his turn
at this point.
Note: In Kabuki, men can
act as female characters. Although the character is a guy,
it can represent a flower (beauty of art) on stage.
|
|
Kabuki Stage
- Ohashi
Magic Card |
Yoshitsune the Tengu
Beauty
Monster Card |
Judai feels that it's so swell. The turn comes
to him. Drawing a card, he summons [E-Hero
Sparkman - 4/1600/1400] onto the field in an attack
position. He declares its attack against Yoshitsune the
Tengu Beauty quickly. Kabukid once activates the special
effect of his monster. When it's attacked by a monster with
higher attack points than 1000, it can turn to a defense
position. Judai argues that Yoshitsune the Tengu Beauty
has only 800 defense points, E-Hero Sparkman still wins.
Kabukid feels sorry to him before explaining another effect
of Yoshitsune the Tengu Beauty that, once per turn, it can't
be destroyed in battle when it's in the defense position.
Yoshitsune the Tengu Beauty then jumps up to dodge the stike
of E-Hero Sparkman smartly and turns back to the defense
mode. Judai looks very impressed by such an act.
Not yet, Kabuki activates the effect of the
field magic Kabuki Stage - Ohashi at this timing. By its
effect, when a player has recieved the attack, he can special
summon a 1 level or 4 monster from his hand. Thus, he special
summons [Armed Samurai - Ben Kei ~
Jyuusou Musha - Ben Kei - 4/500/800: In addition to a normal
attack, this card can attack during the same Battle Phase
as many times as the number of Equip Cards equipped to this
card] onto the field in an attack position. Now,
Kabukid claims his actors have already been in set. Judai
wonders whose turn this actually is after seeing the overacting
of Kabukid. The then ends his turn.
[
Kabuki Stage - Ohashi ]
"Ohashi"
means "Big Bridge".
It's actually "Goyo
Bridge" where the two legendary
Japanese warriors, Benkei and Yoshitsune, had
a battle. The story about this fight was early
mentioned in (episode
55). At that time, Kenzan represents
Benkei while Judai represents Yoshitsune. However,
they are now played as main chracters in Kabukid's
deck. This battle among those two is one of
the popular scenes mostly played in Kabuki.
[ Armed Samurai - Benkei
]
>> This card actually represents the
legendary warrior "Saito
Musashibo Benkei". Read the background
of this character in (episode
55)
[ Yoshitsune the Tengu
Beauty ]
>> This card actually represents the
legendary warrior "Minamoto
Yoshitsune", a brilliant general
whose tactics won a string of victories for
his brother and Taira clan. He has a special
sword training with "Tengu".
[ Tengu ]
It's either god or evil in in Japanese folklore.
Tengu has an expert in martial arts, battle
tactics, and swordsmithings. They sometimes
impart this knowledge to human beings. One of
them is "Minamoto
Yoshitsune" who learned sword fighting
from the tengu king. The instruction does not
require the student to meet a tengu in person,
but tengu can impart this knowledge through
dreams.
|
|
The turn moves back to Kabuki. Drawing a card,
he switchs Yoshitsune the Tengu Beauty back into the attack
position and equips the magic card [Halberd
of the Sohei ~ Souhei No Naginata - Equipment Magic: This
card can only be Equipped to a Warrior Sub-Type Monster.
Increase the Equipped Monster's attack strength by 500 points.
If the Equipped monster would be destroyed as a result of
battle, destroy this card instead. When destroyed by this
effect, inflict 500 points of damage to the opponent]
with Armed Samurai - Ben Kei. This card increases its attack
points by 500 points, so they finally go up to 1000 (500+500).
Kabukid says that the fun thing will be from now on. After
that, he plays the magic card [Great
Mié ~ Oumie - Magic: Increase ATK of all Monsters
on your Field by 500 points and decrease the ATK of all
Monsters on your opponent's Field by 500 points. This effect
lasts until the End Phase of the turn this effect is activated].
According to its effect, the attack points of all monsters
on Kabukid's side increase by 500 points while those on
Judai's side decrease by the same amounts. As a result,
the attack pionts of Yoshitsune the Tengu Beauty and Armed
Samurai - Ben Kei become 1300 (800+500) and 1500 (1000+500)
respectively. On the other hand, the attack points of E-Hero
Sparkman reduce to 1100 (1600-500).
|
|
Halberd
of the Sohei
Magic Card |
Great Mié
Magic Card |
Kabukid lets Armed Samurai - Ben Kei cut down
E-Hero Sparkman. This reduces Judai's LP to 3600 (4000+1100-1500).
At this moment, Judai uses the effect of Kabukid's field
magic, Kabuki Stage - Ohashi, to special summon [E-Hero
Wildman - 4/1500/1600: This Monster cannot be effected by
Trap cards] onto the field in a defense position.
Kabukid tells Judai that it's the rule that if a monster
gets up onto the stage, it must be summoned in an attack
position. Judai looks pretty shocked by his mistake. Professor
Chronos and Vice Principal Napoleon think that Judai doesn't
have the good study to memorize the effect of the field
magic. Therefore, they decide to give Judai demerit/penalty
points. Judai is getting more surprised, claiming that he
has never heard that this will affect his personal record.
Kenzan asks whether Sho has heard of this. They both seem
to have no idea. Then, Professor Chronos says that he's
just kidding, knocking them down.
[
Halberd of the Sohei ]
"Sohei"
is "priest warriors"
which represents "Benkei".
Thus, he is mostly called "Sohei
Benkei" in the legend. On the other
side, Halberd or "Naginata"
is a pole weapon traditionally used by Japanese
samurai. It consists of a wood shaft with a
curved blade fashioned onto the end, and is
similar to the European glaive. Usually, it
also had a sword-like guard (tsuba) between
the blade and shaft. During the war at that
time, Naginata rose to a position of particularly
high esteem. In the battle between Benkei and
Yoshitsune at Goyo Bridge, Benkei used this
weapon fight him. Thus, in anime, there is no
doubt that this equipment magic, "Halberd
of the Sohei", is supposed to be
equipped only with "Sohei
Benkei".
[ Great Mié ]
>> It comes from the word "Oumie"
which means dramatic pose, grand gesture, or
grandstanding in Kabuki play. |
|
As a whole, E-Hero Wildman must change its
position to be in an attack position according to the correct
effect of Kabuki Stage - Ohashi. The turn is still with
Kabukid. He activates the special effect of Armed Samurai
- Ben Kei. It can attack during the same battle phase as
many times as the number of equipment cards equipped with
it. There is one equipment magic, Halberd of the Sohei,
attached with Armed Samurai - Ben Kei, so it can do one
more attack. Kabukid lets it attack E-Hero Wildman. Judai
wonders by this strike since Armed Samurai - Ben Kei and
E-Hero Wildman have the same 1500 attack points. When both
monsters battle, E-Hero Wildman is destroyed. Judai becomes
very confused why only Armed Samurai - Ben Kei is safe.
Kabukid explains that the equipment magic, Halberd of the
Sohei, was protecting his monster. By the effect of Halberd
of the Sohei, it can be destroyed to keep the monster from
destruction. Also, it can inflict 500 direct damages to
the opponent. Thus, Halberd of the Sohei turns around in
the sky before falling down to strike Judai. This reduces
Judai's LP to 3100 (3600-500). Kabukid says that, originally
at this timing, the audiences would cheer clamorously. Although
he doesn't expect any audience here, he sees Professor Chronos
and Vice Principal Napoleon cheering him out loud. Kabukid
is really impressed since the audiences are the gods for
the player.
Kabukid hasn't done his turn yet. He continues
the direct attack of Yoshitsune the Tengu Beauty against
Judai. When he gets such a strong hit, his LP goes down
to 1800 (3100-1300). Professor Chronos is very impressed
by such a wonderful play while Vice Principal Napoleon feels
that Kabukid's a real man. From now on, they expect Kabuki
play a new stage (At this period, Napoleon speaks by France,
"Oui. Merci beaucoup"
which means "Yes, Thank you very
much"). Kabukid says that it's the second act
before activating the effect of Kabuki Stage - Ohashi. Sending
it into the cemetery, Kabukid can special activate a new
field magic [Kabuki Stage - Sakurayama
~ Kabuki Butai - Sarukayama - Field Magic: {When either
player Normal Summons or Special Summons a Monster, they
must Summon it in attack mode. When battling with an opposing
monster, its attack target is chosen at random. By sending
this card to the Cemetery, you can search your deck for
1 card with Kabuki Stage in its name and activate it. This
effect can be used only once a turn.}] from his deck.
The scene changes from the bridge theme into Sakura theme,
which is a popular scene in actual Kabuki play. Judai wonders
what kind of effect it's gonna be. Kabukid would like to
have the audiences had more fun by such a wonderful stage
(Kabukid mentions a character named of "Shizuka
Gozen" dancing on stage. Please read the
background note
for better understanding).
[
Kabuki Stage - Sakurayama ]
"Sakurayama"
means "Mountain of
Cherry Blossoms" or "Sakura
Trees". It's such a popular and
traditional scene in any Kabuki play especially
"Yoshitsune's Thousand
Cherry Trees ~ Yoshitsune Sembon-zakura",
one of the most popular Kabuki story. In the
story, there is also scene that Benkei stands
beside Yoshitsune under Sakura tree.
|
|
Kabukid summons [Shizuka
the Heavenly Dancing Girl ~ Tenjyou Maihime - Shizuka -
3/300/600: When this card is targetted by an opponent's
Monster, increase your Life Points by 600 points]
onto the field in an attack position. He then equips the
magic card [Drum of the Fabled Curse
~ Hatsune no Tsuzumi - Equipment Magic: When the Equipped
Monster is made the target of an attack by an opposing monster,
Special Summon 1 Battle Claw - Kitsune from your Deck, and
then change the target of that attack to Battle Claw - Kitsune]
with it. However, Sho wonders why the attack points of the
monster don't change after it's equipped with the magic
card. Kenzan even becomes more curious what kind of the
equipment magic it is. At this moment, Judai seems to be
uncertain as his face looks very confused.

Next, Kabukid declares that the effect of
Great Mié has finished here at his end phase. Thus,
Yoshitsune the Tengu Beauty's and Armed Samurai - Ben's
attack points return to their original points, 800 (1300-500)
and 500 (1000-500) respectively. Here is the end of Kabukid's
turn. Professor Chronos and Vice Principal Napoleon, meanwhile,
express their appreciation to the gorgeous play (At this
point, Napoleon speaks by France, "Très
bien" which means "Very
good"). They feel so happy that they have a
chance to look at Kabukid's play and have some sea like
this. Kenzan sees his teachers very careless and uneasygoing.
Despite the fact that the student they teach may be going
to lose, they still can be happy like that. Sho thinks it's
just their normal act. More importantly, he is getting worried
about Judai. He can notice that Judai looks different. His
attitude doesn't look positive as usual while his face seems
obviously serious.
[
Shizuka the Heavenly Dancing Girl ]
This monster represents "Shizuka
Gozen", a beautiful mistress and
also a concubine and lover of Minamoto Yoshitsune.
She and Yoshitsune met and fell in love, but
by the time she had become pregnant, Yoshitsune
was on the run for his life. She was captured
and taken to Minamoto Yoritomo, Yoshitsune's
older half-brother, in Kamakura. There she gave
birth to a son, who was promptly killed by Yoritomo.
She was then forced to perform a dance for Yoritomo
and his wife Hojo Masako at a temple celebration,
where she sang a song of praise and danced for
her love Yoshitsune. This greatly angered Yoritomo,
and he intended on having her put to death but
his wife begged for Shizuka's life. She was
freed and sought to follow Yoshitsune, but she
learned of his death. She became a nun and died
in 1189. Her song is famous and is still sung
today by Geisha.
[ Drum of the Fabled
Curse ]
This magic card represents the drum
(Tsuzumi)
called "Hatsune".
Yoshitsune received this drum from the retired
emperor Goshirakawa and gave it to Shizuka so
that she could think of it as a part of himself.
Thus, this magic card or drum is supposed to
equipped only with Shizuka the Heavenly Dancing
Girl.

Judai would like to make sure his thought,
so he begins to talk to Kabukid. He accepts that Kabukid's
skill and play is very gaudy and magnificent. It's so attractive
that the audiences aren't bored of watching. However, he
can feel something different. Professor Chronos and Vice
Principal Napoleon wonder what Judai intends to say. The
opponent is Kabukid, a famous player of the world, so there
supposed to be no mistake. Judai is mostly a sentitive guy
in a duel. He can learn how the opponent is during the match.
He has felt uncertain for a while in this game. Judai asks
Kabukid directly whether he intends to have a fun duel seriously.
In other words, Judai is uncertain whether Kabukid just
wants to entertain the audiences by creating the fun game,
but he actually isn't with it. Kabukid looks slightly mad
and replies that the persons who should enjoy are the audiences
not himself. That's what a pro is for. Judai has realized
Kabukid's thought clearly. If that's the case, he is very
sure that he won't be defeated in this match.
The turn is now with Judai. He draws a card and gets Polymerization.
The cards on his left hand are E-Hero Featherman, E-Hero
Burst Lady, Feather Storm, and De-Fusion. He then plays
Polymerization to fuse E-Hero Featherman and E-Hero Burst
Lday into [E-Hero Flame Wingman -
6/2100/1200: This monster can be summoned only by fusion.
When this Monster destroys a Monster as a result of Battle,
do direct damage to your opponent equal to the attack points
of the destroyed monster]. While Judai is going to
let E-Hero Flame Wingman attack, Sakura blossom is swirling
in front of him until he can see nothing. Kabukid laughs
and explains the consequence of the field magic, Kabuki
Stage - Sakurayama. It forces the opponent's monster to
select a monster to attack randomly. E-Hero Flame Wingman
jumps into Sakura Blossom, and it seems to catch up with
Shizuka the Heavenly Dancing Girl.
|
Battle
Claw Kitsune
Monster Card |
According to the special effect of Shizuka the Heavenly
Dancing Girl, when it becomes the attack target, Kabukid's
LP can go up by 600 points. Therefore, his LP becomes 4600
(4000+600). Also, Kabukid activates the effect of Drum of
the Fabled Curse equipped with Shizuka the Heavenly Dancing
Girl. When its equipped monster becomes the attack target,
[Battle Claw Kitsune ~ Battle Claw
- Kitsune - ?/800: {The Monster that battled with this card
is destroyed at the End Phase of this turn.}] can
special summoned from his deck onto the field in an attack
position. Morever, E-Hero Flame Wingman is forced to change
its target to this monster. Judai wonders whether Kabukid
is kidding him. Although he changes the target monster,
E-Hero Flame Wingman still has much higher attack points
than any of them. The flame shoot of E-Hero Flame Wingman
strikes Battle Claw Kitsune and burns it. This attack reduces
Kabukid's LP to 3300 (4600+800-2100). Judai further claims
the special of E-Hero Flame Wingman. Kabukid has to receive
more direct damages equal to the attack points of Battle
Claw. As a result, his LP finally decreases to 2500 (3300-800).
Sho and Kenzan look so happy by the first successful counter
of Judai.
[
Battle Claw Kitsune ]
"Kitsune"
is normally called "magic
Japanese foxes". In the story, it
represents "Tadanobu"
or a fox-man reputed to be one of Yoshitsune's
retainers. Yoshitsune had to take flight that
he left Shizuka in care of Tadanobu. In addition,
the drum that Yoshitsune gave to Shizuka was
made of fax skin. The story goes that the fox,
which is actually the child of the vixen whose
skin had been used to make the drum, took on
the form of Tadanobu in order reclaim the relic
of its mother. Due to this relationship between
Tadanobu, which represents Kitsune, and the
drum, anime presents this connection in form
that the magic card "Drum
of the Fabled Curse" can special
summon "Battle Claw
Kitsune".
|
|
Anyway, Kabuki explains the special effect of Battle Claw
Kitsune that the monster that battled with it must be destroyed
at the end of the turn. To let E-Hero Flame Wingman attack
was just a trap. Sho then cheers Judai to keep it up. Before
it's going to be destroyed, Judai decides to play the magic
card to defuse E-Hero Flame Wingman into E-Hero Featherman
and E-Hero Burst Lady. He next declares the attack of E-Hero
Burst Lady. Repeatedly, E-Hero Burst Lady moves into swirling
Sakura blossom to select the target randomly. It appears
that E-Hero Burst Lady gets the same result as E-Hero Flame
Wingman got. It catches up with Shizuka the Heavenly Dancing
Girl. Thus, Kabuki's LP first goes up to 3100 (2500+600)
by the special effect of Shizuka the Heavenly Dancing Girl.
Later, Battle Claw Kitsune is special summoned from his
deck due to the effect of Drum of the Fabled Curse. E-Hero
Burst Lady is forced to attack Battle Claw Kitsune. When
Battle Claw Kitsune is shot by the flame, Kabukid's LP decreases
to 2700 (3100+800-1200). Kabukid isn't concerned
whether he would lose LP. He is more glad that E-Hero Burst
Lady will be destroyed at the end of this turn.
Judai feels sorry to E-Hero Burst Lady
before declaring the third attack of E-Hero Featherman.
Again, E-Hero Featherman moves into swirling Sakura blossom,
and it can catch up with Armed Samurai - Ben Kei
at this time. After the battle, Armed Samurai - Ben Kei
is surely destroyed, and Kabukid's LP decreases to 2200
(2700+500-1000). Setting up a reversed card, Judai ends
his turn. At this moment, Kabukid activates the special
effect of Battle Claw Kitsune to destroy E-Hero Burst Lady
at Judai's end phase.
The turn comes to Kabukid. He draws a card and plays it,
Pot of Greed, to draw additional two cards. It's now time
for the last stage that everybody has waited for. Sho and
Kenzan wonder whether the stage can be changed and what
it will be. Professor Chronos and Vice Principal Napoleon
are very excited to the coming climax of the final stage.
Anyway, it seemingly doesn't look fun for Judai at all.
According to the special effect of Kabuki Stage - Sakurayama,
Kabukid discards it into his cemetery to special activate
the third field magic [Kabuki Stage
- Araumi ~ Kabuki Butai - Araumi - Field Magic: {When either
player Normal Summons or Special Summons a Monster, they
must Summon it in Attack Mode. Once per turn, a player can
add 1 Level 5 or higher monster from their Deck into their
hand. By sending this card to the Cemetery, you can search
your Deck for 1 card with [Kabuki Stage] in its name and
activate it. This effect can be used only once a turn.}]
from his deck. It's the last stage for this Kabuki show.
The scene is changed into rough sea. By its effect, Kabukid
can place a level 5 or higher monster, Ghengis Ghun, the
Dragon Lord, from his deck onto his hand. Giving Shizuka
the Heavenly Dancing Girl and Yoshitsune the Tengu Beauty
on the field as tributes, he summons [Ghengis
Ghun, the Dragon Lord ~ Teiouryuu Ghengis - Ghun - 8/2800/2300]
onto the field in an attack position. A golden dragon appears
above Kabuki stage.
Kenzan thinks that the situation doesn't look good. Judai
has only 1800 LP left. If Ghengis Ghun, the Dragon Lord
attacks E-Hero Featherman, he will be defeated immediately;
his LP will become 0 (1800+1000-2800) exactly. As Ghengis
Ghun, the Dragon Lord is opening its mouth to attack, Judai
activates his faced down trap card [Feather
Storm - Trap: This card can only be activated when there
Elemental Hero Featherman is on your field. Until the end
of this turn, the ATK and DEF of all monsters on your opponent's
side of the Field are switched with one another].
By its effect, the attack and defense points of all monsters
on the field are switched. Therefore, Ghengis Ghun, the
Dragon Lord's points turn to be ATK2300 and DEF2800. There
is no change in E-Hero Featherman's points because it has
the same 1000 ATK and DEF points. Ghengis Ghun, the Dragon
Lord attacks and destroys E-Hero Featherman. Eventually,
Judai's LP decreases to 500 (1800+1000-2300). Setting up
a reversed card, Kabukid ends his turn.

Kabukid appearently prevails, so he asks where Judai's
previous big mouth has gone. Judai has never remembered
that he over said anything. He still insists his words.
If Kabukid isn't to have fun with the duel seriously, Judai
will surely win. Kabukid gets annoyed by that Judai's still
talking about this. Judai doesn't care what Kabukid would
like to explain. He repeats that he won't be defeated by
the guy who isn't serious to enjoy the duel (or pretend
that he enjoys the game). People wonder what Judai can catch
up. Even Kabukid is curious where that feeling of Judai
comes from. Judai thinks that it may be difficult to explain.
He just feels that because Kabukid would merely like to
be caught by the audiences' eyes, he doesn't utilize his
monsters at their best shot specially when Shizuka was played.
As a result, Judai assumes that Kabukid isn't serious in
the duel, and he is sure that he will win. Kabukid thinks
that It's fine if Judai wants to think like that. He, anyhow,
tells him that he will show the real seriousness of a pro
from now on. Judai gets very excited by that he's going
to see the real play. Nevertheless, Sho and Kenzan are getting
worried by that the pro will become really serious.
It's now Judai's turn. He draws a card and special summons
[E-Hero Bubbleman - 4/800/1200: If
this card is the only card in your hand, you can Special
Summon it in attack mode. When this card is successfully
Normal Summoned, Special Summoned, or Reverse Summoned when
it is the only card on your Field, draw 2 cards from your
deck] onto the field in an attack position. By its
special effect, when it's the only card on the field, Judai
can draw more two cards. Then, Judai activates the effect
of the field magic Kabuki Stage - Araumi to select a level
5 or higher monster (It should be E-Hero Neos) from his
deck onto his hand. He later plays the magic card [Miracle
Fusion - Magic: Remove the Monsters determined by a Fusion
Monster from your Field and/or Cemetery from the game, and
Special Summon that Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck
with E-HERO in its name. (This
Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.)] from
his hand. Removing E-Hero Sparkman and E-Hero Flame Wingman
in the cemetery from the game, he can special summon [E-Hero
Shining Flare Wingman - 8/2500/2100: Increase this Monster's
attack strength by 300 for each Monster with E-HERO in their
name in your Cemetery. If this Monster destroys a Monster
as a result of battle, do damage to your opponent equal
to the attack strength of that Monster] from his
deck onto the field. The attack points of it can increase
by 300 for each E-Hero monster in the graveyard. There are
E-Hero Burst Lady and E-Hero Featherman remaining in his
graveyard, so the attack points of E-Hero Shining Flare
Wingman become 3100 (2500+300*2).
[
Note ]
There is some anime mistake at this point.
E-Hero Shining Flare Wingman's attack points
don't include a part of E-Hero Wildman in the
graveyard but count only parts of E-Hero Burst
Lady and E-Hero Featherman. It should count
E-Hero Wildman and boost up the attack points
of E-Hero Shining Flare Wingman to 3400 (2500+300*3)
not 3100 (2500+300*2). However, it doesn't matter
whether the attack points are 3400 or 3100.
They are over 2800 attack points of Ghengis
Ghun, the Dragon Lord. It doesn't effect the
duel process anyway. There seems no any stituation
that might remove E-Hero Wildman from Judai's
graveyard, so this should be considered some
anime duel mistake.

Judai declares the battle of E-Hero Shining Flare Wingman
against Ghengis Ghun, the Dragon Lord immediately...Kabukid
opens his reversed trap card [The
Thousand Threads ~ Chisuji no Ito - Trap: This card can
only be activated when monsters are in battle. Negate that
attack and the ATK of all monsters on the Field become 0].
A lot of thread is launced to catch E-Hero Shining Flare
Wingman, E-Hero Bubbleman, and even his own monster, Ghengis
Ghun, the Dragon Lord. It reduces the attack points of all
monsters on the field to 0. Judai is gettting very very
excited now, thinking that Kabukid is very great. However,
he feels pity that it's a bit too late for him to become
serious in the game.
Judai plays the magic card [Quick
Summon ~ Sokkou Shoukan - Instant Magic: Normal Summon 1
Monster in your hand] from his hand. It allows him
to sacrifice E-Hero Shining Flare Wingman and E-Hero Bubbleman
on the field to normal summon [E-Hero
Neos - 7/2500/2000] onto the field in an attack position.
The Thousand Threads has already been activated, so it currently
affects only Ghengis Ghun, the Dragon Lord. In other words,
E-Hero Neos can't be affect by The Thousand Threads because
it isn't the permanent trap. Judai then declares the battle
of E-Heos against Ghengis Ghun, the Dragon Lord that presently
have 0 attack point. The dragon is destroyed as Kabukid's
LP is reduced to 0 (2200+0-2500). His Kabuki wig is also
blown away. Professor Chronos and Vice Principal Napoleon
look pretty shocked by Kabukid's defeat. Judai seems to
enjoy the duel pretty much. Vice Principal Napoleon then
gets up and leaves quietly, looks sad to the result. Professor
Chronos tells him to help cleaning, but Vice Principal Napoleon
refuses so. Kenzan feels tired of his teachers. The student
was trying his best until he won, but the teachers even
didn't care to cheer or applaud. Sho is used to this since
it's their ordinary act.

Judai walks into Kabukid to see how he is.
Kabukid accepts that Judai is right. All the time, he felt
desperate to entertain the audiences until he forgot how
to enjoy the duel with himself. Anyway, in the final turn,
he really enjoyed the duel from the bottom of his heart
because of Judai. He thanks Judai for reminding him of this
feeling. Kabukid says while giving Judai his medal. Judai
tells him that he also enjoyed the duel, and it has nothing
to deal with this medal. Kabukid asks whether Judai would
like to quit the school and become a pro. Judai doesn't
give any answer but laughs. Perhaps, he doesn't feel that
he's ready. Then, Sho and Kenzan step in. Kenzan says that
he would like to see Kabukid's play. Kabukid would love
to do so, taking his wig up. He begins to cast his Kabuki
speech, performing real Kabuki play in front of the three
audiences, Judai, Sho, and Kenzan.
