The ocean waters are somber this afternoon at Duel Academia
Island. Judai, Sho, and Kenzan sit in a patch of forest
near the cliffs, under an enormous tree.
"Gaaah...so this is the anticipated
Genex Tournament," says Judai with his back
leaned against the tree trunk. "I
wanna know why there aren't any opponents coming for me".
Sho glances at his Big Brotherther and replies that and
those people are worried by their medal's being taken. Kenzan
heightens this by saying that everyone's chicken of their
Big Brotherther's strength. Even though their praise is
nice, Judai still can't help but feel a bit bored and disappointed.
"Kuri Kuri!" the
voice of Winged Kuriboh's spirit says to Judai as all of
the sudden when the sky turns dark and thunder rumbles in
the distance.
Sho sits up. "Eh? But it was
such a nice day..."
Kenzan follows in suite. "Rain-saurus?"
(Is it the rain?)
Just then, a huge stream of orange fire erupts from a clearing
meters away. Sho abrubtly gets frightened by the large voice
of the explosion. He states that someone is dueling over
there. As the stream of fire becomes even bigger, Winged
Kuriboh cowers behind Judai while he murmurs, "What
an awesome power!"
Kenzan ponders what kind of monster did whoever the heck
it is over there summon. And from the smouldering flames
come a set of golden wings and a set of glowing red eyes....
When the flames die out, off in that clearing, a Ra Yellow
student drops his medal and falls to the grass unconscious.
Standing a few meters away from him is a silver-haired man
in a long white lab coat and glasses resting on his nose.
His lips curl into a smile inside a shadow.

An unmarked helicopter makes its landing on the heli-pad
near the docks. Out from it, two men. One a thin man in
a rather odd-looking red suit with a frilled shirt and bolo
tie, his long lavender hair swaying in the wind. The second,
a stout, big-eared, big-nosed young lad with black hair
styled in two poofs on both sides of his head, wearing a
dark blue suit without a tie. There is no doubt that the
unexpected visitors are Hayato, who left the school to work
as a card designer with I2 Coportation, and Pegasus J. Crawford,
the president of the company.
Later, Judai comes rushing into the Principal's Office.
"Hayato's coming!?"
he asks excitedly.
Only Hayato has come. The taller boy takes one look at
Judai and turns towards him with his arms extended. "Judai...you
look great!" Hayato exclaims with a bear hug.
"You too, Hayato,"
Judai replies under the pressure of Hayato's weight.
The lavender haired man asks Samejima, "Who's
that boy?"
"He was Hayato-kun's roommate,
Judai Yuki".
Upon hearing this, the man's arms outstretch just like
Hayato's did. But instead of hugging the juice out of him,
he takes his hand in a shake. "Oh!
So you're Judai-boy! I'm always hearing about you from Hayato-boy".
Samejima introduces the honored, yet still confused, Judai
to their guest. "This is Industrial
Illusions' honorary CEO and also the father of Duel Monsters,
Pegasus J. Crawford".
"Cool!" Judai exclaims.
"But why are you here?"
The room grows silent for a moment. "Actually..."
Samejima starts as he tells Judai the whole story and turns
his back to peer out his window.
"The Winged God Dragon of Ra
has been stolen!?" Judai reitterates. "Ra's
the...legend they say Yugi-san fought against...?"
"It's a card that possesses
fearsome powers," Pegasus clarifies, "where
God itself dwells." He then goes into a deeper
explaination. "Of course, the
original card is no longer with us in this world. But, only
one copy card had been left by our company for research,
and it's been stolen by our main designer!".
"We heard that he slipped his
way into this tournament," Hayato popped in.
Samejima states that a God Card's power is unfathomable,
may it be a copy. And in fact, every duelist on the island
is already in harm's way, so there should be a big problem
if people don't get it back quickly.
Judai then remembers those glowing red eyes within the
bowels of the fire. "Could it
be...back then...?"

Thinking of the danger of the God Card, Samejima announces
the temporary interruption in the Genex Tournament to all
participators over the island through PA system. While at
the Red Dorm, Sho is surprised that Hayato has returned.
Hayato compliments Sho that he looks great but tries to
stiffen the room to say that this isn't the time to talk.
Kenzan is confused about who this guy is and Sho asks what's
with the announcement. Judai replies with a "Well
you see~" and a scratch of the cheek.
Hayato turns to Judai. "So are
you going, Judai?" he asks.
"Sure am I!"
"Then take this with you".
Hayato holds a card up. "It's
a new card I designed".
Judai looks at Hayato speechless.
"It might just come in handy,
Judai", Hayato states with pride as Sho and
Kenzan pop up behind him like kids over a large wooden fence.
Judai takes the card, honored. "Thank
you!" he says in broken English giving him a
wink.
Meanwhile, Pegasus treks the area inside the forest. He
comes to a clearing with nothing but open grass with some
rocks and bushes decorating the fringe. Just then he hears
a voice.

"Mr. President!"
Pegasus stops and turns around. "Judai-boy..."
Judai takes a moment to catch his breath before taking
a weak chuckle. A few moments later, the two are sitting
down on two large rocks. Pegasus, with his legs folded,
explains the story behind the copy card as memories of those
who failed to use it flashback in his memory. "In
the past, there have been many who failed in using the Ra
copy. The blade of God's Wrath strikes, injures, and there
are some people who lose their life. Who knows what kind
of peril and sinful acts could happen by using that copy".
When Pegasus finishes his story, he remains speechless.
And so does Judai.
"Well, I'll be, President Pegasus".
Upon hearing the voice, Peagsus jumps to his feet. "Mr.
Frantz!" he calls, the man in question smirking
sinisterly back at him. And then...he shows the card...
"The Winged God Dragon of Ra!"
Judai exclaims. Pegasus orders Frantz to return it and what
he's done is irredeemable. "Do
you understand!?"
"Sure I understand!",
Frantz, the man in the lab coat from earlier, replies, "...that
this is the strongest and the most greatest card on the
planet. If you want this back, you'll have to defeat the
deck this card is in".
Frantz shuffles Ra into his deck...
Pegasus takes a moment to process this. But eventually
answers. "Then I have no choice",
he says as he lifts his arm to activate his Duel Disk. But
just as he's about to do so, Judai steps in front of him.
"I'll go, Mr. President!"
Pegasus is shocked. "How could
you steal the legendary card Yugi and his friends fought
against!? That's totally unforgivable!"
Winged Kuriboh appears. "Kuri
Kuri!"
"Don't sweat it, Partner!"
Judai assures, giving his spirit partner the wink-and-the-gun.
Pegasus' eye widen, contemplating whether Judai can see
spirits, comparing him to Yugi, who stood up against the
God cards and could communicate with the spirits and hearts
of the cards. "If this is fate's
guidance, then I'll take a chance with you",
he thinks.
"The Three Legendary Eqyptian
God Cards. Obelisk the Tormentor (Obelisk No Kyo Shin Hei),
The Sky Dragon of Osiris (Slifer the Sky Dragon ~ Osiris
No Tenkuu Ryuu), and The Winged God Dragon of Ra (Ra No
Yoku Shin Ryuu)...The God Cards are the strongest of all
cards. And according to who uses it...it'll be a disastrous
God card..." a bead of sweat drips down Judai's
cheek.
"Interesting. I'll let you have
a full taste of that legendary power of Ra,"
says Frantz.
"DUEL!" the two
scream, activating their Duel Disks and drawing their opening
hands. (P: 4000, J: 4000)

Judai starts his turn by using Polymerization to fuse E-Hero
Wildman with E-Hero Necro Darkman into [E-Hero
Necro Shaman - 6/1900/1800: Sacrifice 1 Monster on your
opponent's Field in order to Special Summon 1 Monster from
your opponent's Cemetery on your opponent's Field],
in attack mode. Clad in baggy bottoms and a huge white rope
running the course of his upper body, the tan-skinned Shaman
appears on the field, thrusting his staff.
Of course, this activates Necro-Darkman's effect. When
Necro-Darkman's sent to the Cemetery, Judai can summon an
E-Hero monster from his hand sacrifice-free. And the monster
he summons is [E-Hero Neos - 7/2500/2000],
in an attack position. The huge, gray, muscular hero appears
on the field with a kick and a slash in the air.
"Oh! Neos! Unbelievable!"
Pegasus exclaims in English. With two Monsters on his field,
Judai ends his turn. His hands are jittering and a bead
of sweat drips from his chin.
Frantz starts his turn, drawing his card with a mighty
surge of wind following in its wake. "What
are you afraid of?" asks Frantz with a mocking
tone in his voice.
"W-Who's afraid!?"
Judai snaps back.
Frantz chuckles, summoning the level four [Apostle
of Ra ~ Ra No Shito - 4/1100: {When this card is successfully
summoned, you can add 2 Apostle of Ra's from your deck to
your hand.}] in attack mode. The 1100 attack point
warrior clad in an armor of gold made to resemble the body
of Ra, appears on Frantz’ss field. When Apostle of
Ra is successfully summoned, Frantz can add two of the same
Apostle of Ra from his deck to his hand.
Next, he uses the Instant Magic card [Trap
Booster - Instant Magic: Discard 1 card from your hand to
activate. You can activate 1 Trap card in your hand].
With a simple discard to the Cemetery, Frantz can activate
a Trap card from his hand. That trap is the Permanent Trap
[Ultimate Offering ~ Chi No Daishou
- Permanent Trap: By paying 500 Life Points, Normal Summon
1 Monster. You can only activate this effect during your
turn's Main Phase or during your opponent's Battle Phase].
And with Ultimate Offering, he can pay 500 LP to Normal
Summon 1 Monster. He uses this effect two times to summon
both Apostles from his hand. Thus, his LP goes down to 3000
(4000-500-500).

Judai wonders aloud what Frantz plans to do with three
monsters weaker than E-Hero Neos, and then ends his sentence
abruptly; he gets it. Frantz declares that these are the
three sacrifices that devote everything to God. The holographic
Ultimate Offering card glows, the three Apostles disappear,
and the skies instantly turn dark and flash lightning. He
activates the effect of Ultimate Offering again to summon
god, so his LP further decreases to 2500 (3000-500).
"Keep on your toes, Judai-boy!"
Pegasus screams.
Frantz raises his hands to the sky. "O
sleeping soul of God! Now, bring forth your figure! Let
this one know that it was foolish to oppose us! Come forth!
Winged God Dragon of Ra!"
Descending from the dark clouds comes the divine figure
of the strongest of the God hierarchy. Encased in a body
of gold, a regular chimera of bird and dragon, the monster
of the Gods [Winged Dragon of Ra ~
Ra No Yoku Shin Ryuu - 10/?/?: {This Monster's attack strength
and defense strength is equal to the respective attack and
defense strengths of the Monsters used to Sacrifice Summon
it to the Field. Pay 1000 Life Points in order to destroy
all Monsters on your opponent's side of the Field. You can
pay any amount of Life Points up to 1 in order to increase
Ra's attack strength by the amount payed. When this card
attacks after using this effect and destroys an opposing
Monster on his/her's field, destroy all Monsters on the
opponent's Field. Sacrifice a Monster on your Field in order
to increase the attack strength or defense strength of this
card by the attack or defense strength of the sacrificed
Monster.}].
"This is..." Judai
murmurs with fear in his voice, "the
God! The Winged God Dragon of Ra!!"
Ra's very breath makes everything tremble. Kenzan and the
others rush out of the Osiris Red dorms to see what all
the ruckus is. And then they spot it.
"Over there!" Sho
points out. "So that's Ra..."
"I can't just sit around!"
Kenzan proclaims as he runs off the balcony.
Hayato says they've told him that's a bad idea. Even from
where they are, they don't know what might happen if they
show up at the duel field; more specifically, God's Wrath.
Kenzan retorts by saying he'd rather worry about his Big Brother than God's Wrath.
Sho eventually joins Kenzan with Hayato following shortly
afterwards.
Back at the duel, Frantz reveals that Ra's attack power
is equal to the combined total of the monsters used to sacrifice
for it. So it's attack is now 3300 (1100*3).
"This intimidation...this power...it's
different from the others!" says Judai in awe.
"Stop this!!" Pegasus
orders. "A God can only be accompanied
by the duelists chosen by a God. You've bought yourself
God's Wrath!"
Frantz looks unaffected. "I've
finally completed it...the card that can control a God!
Go ahead and get angry! Go ahead and rampage! And go ahead
and hate me! But watch! It is I who am your master!"

The Mounds
of Binding God
Magic Card |
Frantz activates the Field Magic card, [The
Mounds of Binding God ~ Kamishibari No Tsuka - Field Magic:
{???When a Monster with a level of 10 or higher destroys
a Monster as a result of battle, the opponent recieves 400
points of damage to their Life Points.}], making
three chains erupt from the earth and wrap around Ra's wings
and neck much to its displeasure. The "mounds"
from which these chains unearth and float above the ground.
"What's going on?!"
spouts Judai.
"But why? Why did you create
a card that controls a God?"
"Take a good look, President
Pegasus..." says Frantz. "It
is I who am accompanying the imprisioned God, the most-powerful
catastrophe! And this is my proof! Winged God Dragon of
Ra, attack! God Blaze Cannon!!" A fireball blazes
in the middle of the arch on Ra's back, its heat travels
in a stream to Ra's mouth, where an even bigger fireball
forms. Judai watches in amazement as the attack lanuches
from the God's mouth, striking the Necro-Shaman on his field
and totally wiping him out. His LP decreases to 2600 (4000+1900-3300).
That's when the effect of The Mounds of Binding God activates.
When a level 10 or higher monster destroys an opponent's
monster as a result of battle, the player will recieve 400
points of damage. Thus, Judai's LP becomes 2200 (2600-400).
Frantz ends his turn.
Ra looks solemnly in front of him, squinting its eyes,
a low--almost purring--growl coming from its mouth. Judai
sees this and it takes him not two seconds to realize what
Ra is doing.
"Ra's...crying?"
