At the duel stadium of Duel Academy, three Ra Yellow students are dueling against Manjyome White Thunder. Manjyome is smirking, and there appear X-Head Cannon, Y-Dragon Head, and Z-Metal Tank above his field. He says, "You know right? If you guys lose in this duel, you must enter Association of Light. Let's go, Dragon Cannon Army!". After he finishes his words, his three monsters do the last attacks against the three students. They fall down on their knees after the explosion. Manjyome hands up with joy, welcoming them to Association of Light for Saiou-Sama. The three students stand up to accept their destiny. Meanwhile, three Ojama brothers are watching Manjyome's act, getting worried and having no idea what to do to bring their Big Brother back.

At that night, the three Ra Yellow students are packing their bags and moving out off Ra Yellow dorm. Misawa gets worried and asks whether they intend to join Association of Light. They say that their happiness isn't here, and there is the peace of heart at Association of Light. They even recommend Misawa follow them to join Saiou and Association of Light. Misawa denies and thinks that it's stupid, insisting his stand position as a Ra Yellow leader. The three students don't care. They tell Misawa to do whatever he wants before leaving. Misawa can't say anything but feel concerned by seeing his friends walking out.

During that night, Misawa looks out into the sky from the window in his room. He is getting nervous about his position. Saiou have induced strong people into Association of Light in order. Misawa strongly believes in his strength, but he doesn't understand why he hasn't been targeted yet.

In the next day, Judai, Kenzan, and Sho are fishing for new meal at the seaport. Judai complains that he feels enough of dried sardine dish, which is a regular menu of Osiris Red. Kenzan agrees. He considers himself a carnivore, so that kind of dish isn't enough for him at all. On the other hand, Edo is having some nice steak on the deck of his cruise near them. While people have to find food difficultly by themselves, Edo enjoys having such a good meal alone. Judai then throws his fishing rod into the sea, but the wind blows it to hold with Edo's steak on his plate. He misunderstands that he is going to get a big fish. Thus, Sho and Kenzan help him pull the rod up. When the rod is about to pull Edo's steak, Edo cuts it. Judai, Sho, and Kenzan fall down and roll over back. They have just noticed Misawa standing behind when they look up.

Sho asks whether Misawa is also here. Misawa looks mad and says that he has been here for a while (Sho always asks this question. This shows that Misawa is always ignored by people). Kenzan asks why Misawa has come here. Misawa would like to talk about Association of Light. A half number of the students in this school has become the members of it already, so he asks whether Sho, Judai, and Kenzan aren't interested in joining. Kenzan wonders what it's for. Misawa explains his anxiety that his current standpoint may be more narrow. Judai tells him that he doesn't care of that kind of thing. Whenever, he prefers to stay in Osiris Red. He then turns to continue fishing. Sho thinks that only his Big Brother is the pure Red (He has never changed his dorm color). Also, Kenzan doesn't think that they can pretend to become the white by wearing the white uniform and walking around. Misawa understands them well, so he decides to leave and further says nothing. At the same time, Edo is watching over Misawa. It seems that only he understands well what Misawa is thinking.

Misawa turns back to his room at that night and keeps on studying hard. He writes a lot of formula around the wall while keeping on saying, "I am strong! I am strong! I am strong! I am strong! But why haven't they come to challenge only me? Even Judai or Manjyome, I won't be beaten. I am the elite duelist. Why haven't they come to challenge!? I will show that strength by my true hand!". Misawa reminds himself of the previous duels against the examiner in the admission exam, and Judai, Manjyome, and even the 7 star, Taniya. He is getting heat up since his pride is threatened. At the same time, Edo is watching over what Misawa has been doing and hearing everything from outside.

On the next day, people are sitting and getting bored at the other side of the sea because they still can't get any fish. For Sho and Kenzan, they can return to have some curry waiting for them at Yellow dorm (Kabayama-Sensei, the head teacher of Ra Yellow, is good at making curry for his students), but they don't because they are worried about Judai. Kenzan seems enough. His carnivorous instinct finally wakes up when he is starving like this. He turns to look at Sho's face while his eyes turn to be dinosaur's hunting eyes, saying, "The cheeks of Marufuji-Sempai look so soft~". He shows his jaws and saliva comes out from his mouth as if he is a real dinosaur going to hunt a prey. Sho gets very frightened by that Kenzan is serious about eating him, telling him to stop.

Judai also feels enough and so bored that he has to asks Sho and Kenzan whether there isn't something fun. Sho doesn't think they have. Anyway, he suddenly has come up with a weird act of a guy he has heard. Someone has confined himself in a room recently. Kenzan wonders who that guy is and whether he is an important person (Undoubtedly, he's Misawa). It's pity that people try to think of that person, but can't figure it out. Later on, Judai sees Kenzan's rod getting a fish. They are all glad to have such a big meal today.

On the other side, Edo standing on his cruise is still watching over Misawa confining himself in his room of Ra Yellow. Misawa has been studying so hard without sleeping for several days. Finally, he has finished creating a new deck. Misawa believes that he with this new deck won't be defeated by anyone. Also, he will be able to prove his elite position. The shadow of a monster then passes through his room. It should be the shadow of Edo's monster, D-Hero Devil Guy, keeping eyes on him, but Misawa hasn't realized it.

At night, Misawa leaves the dorm alone. He comes across with Edo, and Edo asks where Misawa is going to during this late night. Misawa asks back what Edo is also doing here. Edo replies that going for a walk at night is his routine. There is a duel disk placed beside him. Misawa hopes Edo won't be surprised since he is going to Association of Light to challenge Saiou. Edo just says, "How brave!". Misawa tells him, "Edo, I also will make you withdraw your words". Then, he turns back and runs straight to the white dorm.

Note:
1) Edo tells the truth that walking around is his nightly routine. That's because he always duels against bad guys or card criminals at night to find the one holding the card he's looking for.
2) Edo used to look down Misawa in episode 75 that Misawa was a low-class duelist, so Misawa wasn't good enough for Saiou to induce into Association of Light. Misawa wants to prove that Edo's wrong so that Edo can take back these insulting words.

Misawa approaches into the white dorm at night. The white students look surprised a bit by his sudden appearance, wondering why Misawa from Ra Yellow has come here. Misawa asks where Saiou is. Manjyome and Asuka then appear. Manjyome asks him back why Misawa wants to see Saiou. Asuka further adds that Saiou-Sama is always busy, so he can't meet with any unexpected visitor. Misawa says his purpose loudly, "Tell him! Ra Yellow leader, Misawa Daichi, has come to challenge him!". The white students begin to laugh until Misawa has to ask whether there is something strange. Manjyome emphasizes his words, saying "People, listen! This guy is Ra Yellow leader!". The students keep on laughing at Misawa out loud. Misawa can't stand hearing, so he tells them to stop. Manjyome clarifies, "You haven't understood yet, have you? We have induced the excellent students at this school in order. Despite that, it's werid, isn't it? How many Ra Yellow students have been in Association of Light by now?".

Misawa turns back and sees his three Ra Yellow students, who have become the white students already, standing at the entrance. "What does it mean?", Manjyome asks Misawa. Misawa looks mad and stares at Manjyome. The three ex-Ra Yellow students say, "Are you really Ra Yellow leader?", "Nobody has remembered that", and "It's just your own over thought". Then, everybody begins to laugh again. It seems that Misawa is ignored by people despite the fact that he's the number one in Ra Yellow. His existence means nothing; otherwise, he should have been challenged or induced already. This is what Manjyome wants to tell him. Manjyome says, "Go back, Misawa! This is not the place for the drop out like you to come". Misawa certainly becomes more heat up when called as a drop out.

Meanwhile, Saiou appears and interrupts people. He steps down and realizes that Misawa has some business with him. Misawa confirms his purpose of coming, challenging Saiou for a duel. Saiou asks whether Misawa understands well about the meaning of dueling against him or any member of Association of Light. Misawa replies that he's got it well. If he's defeated, he has to enter Association of Light. However, if Misawa wins, Saiou knows that Misawa wants him to give up Association of Light and then to leave the island. Anyway, Since's Saiou's deck isn't ready, he would like Manjyome to approach into this duel, instead. Manjyome feels concerned a bit, but Saiou says that he should be fine because Manjyome's strength seems equal to his. Manjyome thanks Saiou for the praise, and turning to Misawa. As Saiou said, Manjyome accepts his order to duel against Misawa. Misawa certainly agrees to this exchange.

The light at the duel arena is turned up. Manjyome is facing against Misawa on the stage. The three Ojama brothers don't understand why the situation has to end up like this. Ojama Yellow suggests their brother cheer Misawa, confusing them very much. It explains that if Misawa wins, Manjyome or their Big Brother may return to be original person. The brothers have understood and turned to cheer Misawa out loud. Meanwhile, Manjyome can feel their monster spirits, so he turns back and looks up. When he sees nothing, he turns back to the duel. Misawa's face becomes very serious. No matter what, he tells himself not to lose in this duel. It's the duel to prove his pride and existence. His fighting spirit is so strong that it burns up around his body. Preparing their duel disks, both of them start the game.

summary - second period
episode 82 summarized by Janime

The first turn comes to Misawa. He draws a card and summons [Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus - 4/1800/1500: If this Plus Monster is in battle with another Plus Monster that battle is negated. If a Minus Monster is on the Field, those Monsters must always attack] onto the field in an attack position. Setting a face-down card, he ends his turn.

The turn moves to Manjyome. He draws a card and summons [Beetron-1 Kabutop - 4/1700] onto the field in an attack position. He then plays the permanent magic [Frontline Base ~ Senseki Bochi - Permanent Magic: Once during your Main Phase, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Union Monster from your hand. You can use this effect only once per turn]. It allows him to special summon a level 4 or lower union monster from his hand in every of his main phase. Thus, he special summons [Beetron-2 Kawagaturbo - 4/1500/1800: Once per turn during your Main Phase, you may change this card to a Equipment magic card, and Equip it on 1 of your Beetron-1 Kabutop, or remove it from being an Equipment card, and place it in face-up attack mode. While this card is an Equipment card, increase the Equipped Monster's attack and defense strengths by 400. (A Monster can only have one Union Equipment card Equipped on it. If the Equipped Monster would be destroyed by battle?, destroy this card instead.)] onto the field in an attack position. By its effect, it can become an equipment card with Beetron-1 Kabutop for a turn and increase its attack and defense points by 400 points. As a result, the two Beetron monsters are formed together with the attack points of 2100 (1700+400).

Manjyome lets it attack Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus at once. At this moment, Misawa opens his reversed trap card [Magnet Force Plus - Permanent Trap: After activation, this card becomes an Equip Card and targets 1 of your opponent's face-up Monsters. The Monster with this card equipped to it becomes a Plus Monster. If it battles with another Plus Monster, that battle is negated and ended. When a Minus Monster is on the opponent's field, it switches to attack mode, and it is forced to battle with that Monster] and equips it with attacking Beetron-1 Kabutop. It forces Beetron-1 Kabutop to become a plus monster that can't attack any plus monster on Misawa's field. Manjyome gets mad by that Misawa uses this way to avoid the battle.

Misawa doesn't care what Manjyome would claim. In his turn, when he draws a card, he becomes concerned about Manjyome's deck that should be powerful when strengthened by Saiou's cards. On his hand are Super Conductive Warrior Linear Magnum Plus Minus, Swordman of Death Lithmus, Atom of the Plasma Warrior, Mystical Space Typhoon, and Magnet Warrior Omega Minus. He then sends Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus on the field and Magnet Warrior Omega Minus on his hand into the graveyard, special summoning [Super Conductive Warrior Linear Magnum Plus Minus ~ Choudendousenshi Linear Magnum Plus Minus - 7/2700: This card can only be Special Summoned by sending, from your hand or your side of the field to the Graveyard, 1 Magnet Warrior Sigma Plus and 1 Magnet Warrior Omega Minus. While this card is face-up on the field, it gains half the ATK of 1 Plus Monster or 1 Minus Monster on the field. If this card attacks or is attacked by a Minus Monster, that attack is negated. If your opponent controls a Plus Monster, this card must attack that monster] onto the field in an attack position. This considers the special summon as a result of Super Conductive Warrior Linear Magnum Plus Minus' own effect.

Misawa lets his monster attack Beetron-1 Kabutop immediately. Thus, Manjyome's LP reduces to 3400 (4000+2100-2700). Anyway, Manjyome declares the special effect of Beetron-2 Kawagaturbo equipped with Beetron-1 Kabutop that Beetron-2 Kawagaturbo would be destroyed instead to protect Beetron-1 Kabutop from destruction. The three Ojama brothers are getting worried by both of them. They agree to send their hearts to support Misawa, cheering him out loud again. Setting up a face-down card, he ends his turn (This card should be the magic card, Mystical Space Typhoon).

The turn moves to Manjyome. He draws a card and gets Pot of Greed, so he plays it to draw two cards. After that, he plays the magic card [A Feather of the Phoenix ~ Hououshin No Hane - Magic: Discard 1 card from your hand. Select 1 card from your Graveyard and return it to the top of your Deck]. Due to its effect, he can discard a card, [Ojamagic - Magic: When this card is sent from the hand or the field to the Cemetery, add 1 each of Ojama Green, Ojama Yellow and Ojama Black from your Deck to your hand], from his hand to return Beetron-2 Kawagaturbo from his graveyard onto the top of his deck. When Ojamagic is sent to the cemetery, its effect is activated. It allows him to obtain Ojama Geen, Yellow, and Black from his deck onto his hand. The Ojama Brothers' spirits are pretty shocked because they don't want to be in play right now.

Manjyome next plays the instant magic, [Ojama Get Ride - Instant Magic: Place 1 Ojama Yellow, Ojama Green, and Ojama Black from your hand into the Cemetery. Special Summon up to 3 Level 4 or less Machine Sub-Type Union Monsters from your deck in defense mode. These Monster's modes cannot be switched], to send three Ojama Brothers into the cemetery for special summoning up to 3 of level 4 or less machine-type monster onto the field in a defense position. The spirits of three Ojama Brothers are pretty shocked again when they would be thrown away shortly (They are played like a trash, and their existence seems to mean nothing). Therefore, Manjyome special summons Beetron-2 Kawagaturbo and [Beetron-3 Spider Base - 4/1000/2000] onto the field in the defense position.

When Beetron 1 to 3 are together on the field, Manjyome plays fusion union to combine three of them into [Assault Cannon Beetle ~ ?/?/2800: Remove the required Monsters on your Field from the game in order to Special Summon this Monster (the Polymerization card is not needed and not needed or used.) For each Monster you sacrifice on your Field, inflict 800 points of damage to your opponent] in a defense position. As a result of Assault Canon Beetle's special effect, this is the special fusion without Polymerization.

Misawa asks whether Manjyome thinks it can actually defend. Manjyome doesn't think so. He is playing another magic card, [Ojamandala ~ Magic: You can only activate this card if a Ojama Yellow, Ojama Green, and Ojama Black are present in your Cemetery. Pay 1000 Life Points and Special Summon a Ojama Yellow, Ojama Green, and Ojama Black from your Cemetery to the Field], from his hand. He has to pay 1000 LP to play this card, so his LP reduces to 2400 (3400-1000). It allows him to return three Ojama Brothers from the cemetery onto the field. He uses them as tributes to activate the special effect of Assault Cannon Beetle. Assault Cannon Beetle can inflict the direct 800 damages for each tribute directly to Misawa. It consumes three Ojama Brothers as bullets and shoots them out. Three Ojama Brothers feel sorry to Misawa before attacking him directly. Misawa's LP finally goes down to 1600 (4000-800*3).

At this moment, Judai and Sho are enjoying the barbecue with the fish they could catch today at Osiris Red dorm. Kenzan tells them to be patient because it hasn't been ready yet. Edo then walks in and says that if they have much free time eating like this, they should go to see the duel. Kenzan wonders whether Edo would like to get their food. He refuses to share it with him anyway. Edo replies that he isn't interested in eating something like that. By the way, Judai asks what duel Edo is talking about. "Misawa is now challenging Association of Light for a duel!", Edo answers. People are stunned and don't understand what's going on.

Atom of Plasma Warrior
Monster Card

On the duel stage, Manjyome mentions, "Misawa, after all, you and I have differences about 3 and 10,000 and 9997!" (It should be 39,997 differences, or Manjyome doesn't know exactly either how much difference they have). Misawa argues, "I am the number one of this school!", before running his turn. The turn comes to him. He draws a card and sacrifices Super Conductive Warrior Linear Magnum Plus Minus to summon [Atom of Plasma Warrior ~ Plasma Senshi Atom - ?/3000: {This card cannot be Normal Summoned or set? This card can only be Special Summoned by sacrificing 1 (Level 7 or higher?) monster on your Field. You can half this Monster's attack strength in order for it to attack the opposing player directly.}] onto the field in an attack position. By its special effect, it can attack Manjyome directly with the half of its original attack points. Misawa, therefore, declares the direct strike of Atom of Plasma Warrior against Manjyome. Manjyome gets the direct hit, so his LP reduces to 900 (2400-3000/2). Setting up another reversed card, he ends his turn (This face-down card should be the one he drew in this turn).

Meanwhile, Asuka thinks that by the current attack points of Atom of Plasma Warrior, they are low enough for Assault Cannon Beetle to beat. Saiou thinks that the situation is different. In the present play, Misawa may aim to play the direct attack of Atom of Plasma Warrior in his next turn. Thus, Saiou is certain that either of Misawa's current face-down cards must be a counter card to reflect Manjyome's strike (or to protect himself in Manjyome's turn). Asuka is getting worried because this means Manjyome will be defeated whether he will attack in this turn or not. Saiou has just realized that Misawa is actually such an awful guy.

Note: In sum of this Manjyome's turn, if Manjyome attacks, Misawa will counter by his reversed card, which is actually Magic Cylinder (mentioned later), that may cause significant damages until Manjyome loses. On the contrary, if Misawa can pass this Manjyome's turn safely, he will win by the direct attack of Atom of Plasma (Atk 1500) against Manjyome's 900 LP. In addition, another of Misawa's face-down card is the magic card, Mystical Space Typhoon. In case Manjyome sets up a trap or magic on his field to change the game, Misawa can play this reversed magic card to wipe it out. In any case, Misawa seems to be well prepared after studying hard for days. What a theorical guy!

The decisive turn has come to Manjyome. Drawing a card, he plays the magic card [Front Change - Magic: Choose 1 of the following 2 effects and activate it. This card ignores Summoning requirements. However, this card cannot be activated in the same turn you've Special Summoned an Assault Cannon Beetle. 1) Swap positions of an Assault Cannon Beetle on your Field with a Combat Scissors Bettle from your Fusion deck. 2) Swap positions of a Combat Scissors Bettle on your Field with an Assault Cannon Beetle from your Fusion deck]. By its effect, Manjyome can swap the position of Assault Cannon Beetle with Combat Scissors Bettle in his deck. In other words, Assault Cannon Beetle is returned to his deck while [Combat Scissors Beetle - 8/3600/1800: This card cannot be Special Summoned. You can only swap positions of this card and a Assault Cannon Bettle on your Field by the effect of Front Change. When this card destroys a Monster as a result of battle, inflict 1000 points of damage to the opponent] is, instead, special summoned onto the field in an attack position.

Misawa feels slightly threatened by such a powerful monster. Anyway, he has already prepared the counter trap card, [Magic Cylinder - Trap: Activate when your opponent attacks, negate that Monster's attack and do damage to your opponent equal to the attack strength of that Monster], to rebound Manjyome's attack.

Judai tells people to run quickly to see Misawa. "Misawa!", Judai calls out his name while reminding him of what Edo said. Previously, Judai talked to Edo, asking whether Misawa had some likelihood to beat Saiou. Edo replied, "Of course not! No, I should say...he won't win although he can win". People were very stunned and confused by what Edo meant.

Meanwhile, Misawa is waiting for final coming of Manjyome. When Manjyome attacks him, his victory will be determined. That means he will win. Thinking of the victory, Misawa begins to hesitate and stagnate his movement. "I will win? win? I see. If I beat Manjyome here...", Misawa further thinks of the result. Saiou said before the game that he would give up Association of Light and leave the island if Misawa could win the game. In other words, if Misawa wins, there is no Association of Light for him to enter or there is nobody left to accept him. Misawa looks at Saiou standing at the andience stage. Saiou smirks as if he has understood Misawa's feeling from the begining. The picture of Saiou becomes bigger, depressing Misawa's thought.

Judai needed the explanation from Edo why Misawa wouldn't win if he had a chance. Edo answered, "Misawa doesn't want to become stronger. He just wants people around to accept his strength". Sho looked a little surprised by this story that he had never noticed. Edo further said, "The ture heart of duelist is aloofness. For example, although a person isn't accepted by the others, but if he believes in his tactics or decks and go along with his own road, the consequence and the value will just come after. Howerver, Misawa is different. At the bottom of his heart is only the intention to be an elite accepted by people". At the same time, Misawa looks very confused on the duel stage. Saiou appears in his mind and seems to be able to capture his weakness. He understands well how nervous Misawa feels and how much he suffers when nobody accepts him.

"Finally, he won't trust himself. That guy certainly will leave the true heart of duelist", Edo concludes. Judai is getting more worried about his friend, still running quickly to the duel arena.

Manjyome says that Misawa will be defeated now. He declares the attack of Combat Scissors Beetle against of Atom of Plasma Warrior. Misawa feels confused to activate his face-down trap card, Magic Cylinder, at this point. If he does so, he will win immediately (Manjyome will receive 3600 damages from his own monster that will reduce his LP to 0: 900-3600). Saiou appears in Misawa's mind and says, "Come on, Misawa-Kun~ If you suffer and feel anxious, enter Association of Light. That is what Association of Light is for".

While Misawa hasn't decided to do anything yet, Judai, Sho, and Kenzan have arrived the duel stage. They see the attack of Combat Scissors Beetle moving to Misawa's monster. Eventually, Misawa decides not to activate Magic Cylinder. Therefore, Atom of Plasma Warrior is destroyed, and Misawa's LP decreases to 1000 (1600+3000-3600). At this point, Manjyome activates the special effect of Combat Scissors Beetle. When it can destroy a monster in battle, 1000 direct damages also inflict to the opponent. Here is the conclusion. Misawa's LP turns to 0 (1000-1000) exactly, and he's finally defeated. Misawa falls down onto the ground while Judai, Sho, and Kenzan hurry to run into him. Saiou smirks and enjoys the result before leaving with Asuka. It seems that he could predict that the result would turn like this.

Sho notices that Misawa has two 2 cards set up in his duel disk. Kenzan realizes that Edo's words may be true. Misawa didn't intend to win, so he didn't activate his cards. Edo then walks in and say, "It's Saiou who just won the fight. No matter with or without Saiou, Misawa's brain is a trouble opponent. But Saiou could figure out the weakness of Misawa's heart. If it's left, it's certainly gonna be the self-destruction".

"I see, I am afraid that I won't be accepted by everyone. Is there something wrong with it?", Misawa thinks while he seems walking deeper into dark path of his mind. At the destination, he opens the door and sees many ladies and guys applauding and congratulating him for his coming. It's the paradise where he has waited for...the place where people accept him. "Here is the place where I can stay~", Misawa thinks as he seemingly much enjoys it.

Apart from his dream, there is the white uniform falling from the ceiling onto Misawa's shoulders. Misawa turns to look at Judai and others apparently unfriendly. Judai is afraid that Misawa has become a member of Association of Light completely.

On the other side, Manjyome and Asuka are walking out. Asuka notes, "There seems to be some weird cards in your deck now, doesn't it?". Manjyome takes his deck up and looks at three Ojama Brothers. He doesn't understand either why he has had these weak cards in his deck. Three Ojama Brothers' spirits are very scared of hearing his words. Manjyome says, "I don't want them!", as throwing them away. Three Ojama Brother cards then fly out and blow away into the night sky, crying with pain.

to be continued...

Judai Misawa~ You...that guy...Anyway, Sho, are you okey?
Sho This time, my dear brother's duel is broadcasted on TV.
Judai Kaiser's duel? How fleeing!
Sho Hell Kaiser! I don't wanna see my brother who has already changed. Next, [Hell Kaiser Ryou VS Master Samejima]
Judai Sho, open your eyes and look at Kaiser carefully!
