At night at Osiris Red dorm, Sho is sitting
at a desk while Judai is sleeping in his bed. Sho is watching
his PDA, moving his chair, and humming a song. That finally
wakes Judai up. He gets up and asks what Sho's doing. Sho
says that he has just found some interesting response (interactive
message) on the internet. Judai becomes very interested
while walking in to see those messages and read them.

Note: The "Yamanote-sen"
is the famous "Yamanote Line"
(Train line) that makes a round trip from Shinjuku back
to Shinjuku again. This is sort of like how they say desperate
lovers or depressed people sit on the Yamanote to sit or
process on things. I also think this whole 2chan-ish board
thing is a rather sheepish reference to the rather recent
story of "Densha Otoko."
(This is also why Kanda makes a comment like "I
get off at the next, next, next station....")
Judai asks what this message means. Sho merely
says that he is feeling into it. Judai still doesn't understand.
Anyway, he takes PDA from Sho to give some response by his
messages, using his username as "Gotcha".
He responds "By this, you will
win". Sho looks confused and says that Judai
has completely misunderstood. Judai thinks that people were
talking about the duel. However, this is actually the love
consultant forum. Of course, Judai looks certainly shocked.
Meanwhile, another white student at the white dorm is the
one responding with Judai and Sho. Actually, he is consulting
his love affair with Sho, currently reading Judai's response
message.

|
Note: "Gotcha!"
comes from "Katsu",
which means "Win".
Judai usually says this word when he wins any duel. You
mostly hear him say "Gotcha!
Tanoshii Duel Datta Se!" which means "I
won! What a nice duel!"
The white student seems to have more courage and encouragement
from Judai's message. Thus, he sends back his message to
thank Gotcha-San or Judai, and decides to hide himself and
watch over Asuka from tomorrow on. On the wall in his room
is the poster with the picture of Asuka. Unboubtly, his
love target is her. He calls her Asuka-Tan ("Tan"
is a sort of an anime-only honorific that's a weird mix
between "san" and
"chan").
On the next following morning, Sho, Kenzan, and Sho are
jogging together. Kenzan is actively running fast in the
front until Sho claims that he didn't sleep at all last
night. Kenzan wonders what his seniors were doing for the
whole night. Judai doesn't answer and just smirks. Sho says
that this has nothing to deal with the dinosaur like him.
Anyway, Judai notes that this jogging course has such a
good view. They are running along the lake toward the white
dorm, seeing the good scenic spot.
Meanwhile, the white student, who responded to Sho and
Judai last night, is hiding himself on the tree and watching
over Asuka into her room. Although he has already made a
decision to hide and watch over her, he doesn't feel that
he has courage or is ready at all. At this moment, Sho,
Kenzan, and Judai are running pass the tree that the white
student is on. The white student took up his deck that he
well prepared. Then, a card accidently flies out from his
deck and falls down. Judai is suggesting people have some
rest at that point. The card exactly falls into his hand,
and Judai looks very amazed what it is. It's Quiz Panel
Obelisk: 30, a monster card. Judai sees it such an interesting
card. Kenzan and Sho read the texts on the cards "Name
each of the three specific cards that will cause a Special
Win Condition?". Kenzan enjoys to give the first
answer on this problem. He thinks that it should be Exodia.
If he can collect all Exodia parts, he will certainly win.
Sho next gives the second answer, Destiny Board (Ouija Ban).
Judai is supposed to give the third answer, but he can't
think of anything. Then, three of them hear the laughing
sound coming from the tree. Judai asks who is there. The
hiding white student asks whether Judai can't come up with
the last answer before jumping down and expressing himself.
He tells Judai his answer, the magic card Final Countdown
(Shuuen No Countdown).
Note: See the explanation of each answer
in the duel
later.
Judai is glad to hear the third answer from him; however,
Sho and Kenzan are amazed by who the white student is and
what he is doing here. The white student becomes panic by
the sudden question. He then yells "Kaibaman!"
while pointing to the sky. When people look up to his direction,
he takes this chance to get back his card from Judai's hand
and run away. At this moment, Asuka yells at them, asking
what they are doing and splashing water over them. A bucket
of water is thrown onto Judai's head. Seeing Judai, Asuka
asks whether he is the one who has been watching over her
recently. She has felt it. Judai looks very confused by
this issue. Asuka doesn't listen to his excuse and tries
to drag him to the principal room. Judai tells her not to
be kidding him, asking who was actually supposed to hang
around with her. Asuka gets mad at his response as arguing
against him. Anyway, the white student, who is hiding himself
in a bush, seems to misunderstand that Asuka is under Judai's
attack. He steps out to stop the violence and he tells Judai
to hand off Asuka-Tan. He then runs in to separate Judai
and Asuka and says that he will protect her. Judai gets
confused what the guy's talking about because he should
be the one who was beaten. The guy doesn't seem listening.
He says that if Judai is going to do anything with Asuka,
he [Kanda Tsugio] will become
his opponent in a duel. Both Sho and Kenzan certainly don't
understand what Kanda is talking about. Asuka thinks that
this should be fun for him to challenge Judai directly,
calling him Akihabara-Kun. Kanda corrects his first name
that it should be Kanda. Anyway, Asuka still says that Ueno-Kun
is really like a member of Association of Light. Kanda feels
down that Asuka has never remembered his name correctly
although they are in the same Association of Light (It actually
should be Tsugio-Kun). Asuka turns to Judai and forces him
to duel against Kanda. Judai doesn't understand why he has
to approach into this duel. Asuka says that if he wins,
she will turn a blind eye to this issue. However, if he
is defeated, he has to enter Association of Light. Judai
feels that Asuka looks very scary.

Inside the duel arena of Duel Academia, Manjyome walks and
sits near Asuka on the audience stage. He asks, "What
are all of these about, Tenjoin-Kun?". Asuka
replies, "It's a chance. Who
know? Judai may have to enter Association of Light this
time". Manjyome looks slightly surprised by
her answer. Asuka further says "Association
of Light, Akihabara...No! Kanda Tsugio! He seems to have
a secret trick to beat Judai" (Asuka still gets
confused by his name: Kanda-Akihabara-Ueno). Manjyome doesn't
seem to agree with her. He thinks that there should be some
mistake. In his sight, Kanda is merely a common guy. Asuka
becomes amazed by Manjyome's response, wondering whether
she's wrong.
Meanwhile, Kanda is getting nervous. This is the first
time when Asuka pays attention to him. He thinks that he
doesn't have any true power as she has expected. On the
other side, Judai is getting such a good fighting spirit
from the cheer of Sho and Kenzan. He sets up his deck and
tells Kanda to have fun in the game. When both of them are
ready, they begin the duel.
First turn comes to Judai. He draws a card and summons
[E-Hero Sparkman - 4/1600/1400]
onto the field in an attack position. Then, he ends his
turn quickly. Judai actively tells Kanda to show what kind
of duel he is gonna play.
Next turn comes to Kanda. He draws a card and plays a magic
card [Search Shock - Magic: Send 1
Monster card in your hand to the Cemetery, add 1 Quiz Hour!
from your deck to your hand. Afterwards, shuffle your deck].
By its effect, he has to send a monster card, Nazora Panel
9, on his hand into the cemetery to add the magic card,
Quiz Hour!, from his deck onto his hand [Quiz
Hour! - Permanent Magic: When this card is activated, destroy
all Monsters on your Field. Set 1 Quiz Panel Osiris: 10,
Quiz Panel Ra: 10, and Quiz Panel Obelisk: 10 from your
hand or deck on your Field. You may not sacrifice Monsters
on your side of the Field. When this card is destroyed,
destroy all Monsters on your side of the Field].
He plays it once after that. Judai looks obviously excited
by such a weird card.

Quiz Hour!
Magic Card |
Once Quiz Hour! is activated, the swirling darkness appears
from the card. The spotlight shines down and spots onto
Judai. There appears a quiz panel with a letter "Q"
in front of him. On the other side, there is a large quiz
board with 9 panels behind Kanda. Kanda starts acting like
a game host and says "Ladies
and Gentlemen! It's Quiz Hour!". It's apparent
that this is like a quiz game on a TV show. Sho and Kenzan
notice that Kanda's personality completely changes. Kanda
explains that when Quiz Hour! is played, three Obelisk 10,
Ra 10, and Osiris 10 panels are set up. In other words,
these three monsters are reversed set up onto the field.
Kanda further says that they all have 0 attack point, so
Judai can select to attack one of them as he wants. People
are very surprised how Kanda is gonna fight like this by
his 0 attack point monsters. Judai is getting more excited.
This is actually the same as what he has seen a quiz game
on TV. Kanda says that Judai's right. Now, it's Quiz Hour!
time. The player or the solver is Yuki Judai while the questioner
is himself, Kanda Tsugio. Kanda is thinking of Asuka. He
would like to show her his real strength of Quiz deck. He
also thinks of Gotcha-San who gave him some courage, so
he would try his best. At this time, Kanda hasn't realized
yet that Gotcha-San is actually Judai. Asuka feels that
this game looks a little bit fun. Kanda then ends his turn
here, declaring to have fun in the next turn.

Turn is now with Judai. He summons [E-Hero
Featherman - 3/1000/1000] onto the field in an attack
position. Then, he declares the attack of E-Hero Sparkman
against the face-down Quiz Panel Obelisk: 10. When Quiz
Panel Obelisk: 10 is flipped, a panel monster with a letter
"10" moves and attaches
itself onto the panel board. Kanda activates the flip effect
of Quiz Panel Obelisk: 10 at this time. Judai must answer
the question listed on Quiz Panel Obelisk: 10 within 10
seconds. Judai looks very confident to answer and challenges
any question while Sho and Kenzan are getting worried. Kanda
starts the first question of Quiz Panel Obelisk: 10.
[Quiz
Panel Obelisk: 10 - 1/0/0]
Flip: Your opponent must answer
the following problem within 10 seconds. Afterwards,
this card is destroyed and 1 [Quiz
Panel Obelisk: 20] is set on your Field from
your deck, hand, or Cemetery. When he/she answers
correctly, deal 500 points of damage to yourself.
When he/she answers incorrectly, the attacking Monster
is destroyed and 500 points of damage is dealt to
the opponent.
Problem: Name each of the 3 cards
necessary in order to activate the Trap Card [Giant
Revolution]?
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Hint: [Giant
Revolution ~ Daikakumei]
Trap: This card can only be activated during
your Main Phase if you have a face-up [Fleeing
People], [Oppressed People]
and [United Resistance]
on the Field. Your opponent puts all of the cards
in his or her hand into Graveyard, and destroys all
of your opponent's cards on the Field that he/she
controls.
This is a real OCG card with the code EE1-JP096. |
Judai is in a panic and says that he has never heard of
this card before. He starts thinking, so does E-Hero Sparkman.
Time's up, and Judai can't get the answer. Thus, Kanda can
proceed the effect of Quiz Panel Obelisk: 10. If the opponent
can't answer, the attacking monster must be destroyed and
he has to get 500 direct damage points. As a result, Judai's
LP reduces to 3500 (4000-500) and E-Hero Sparkman explodes.
Kanda gives him the answer of the question that those three
necessary cards are as following;
Answer:
1. [People Running About ~
Nigemadou Tami - 2/600/600]
2. [Oppressed People ~ Danatsusareru
Tami - 1/400/2000]
3. [United Resistance ~ Dangetsusuru
Resistance - 3/1000/400] |
Judai feels tired since he completely doesn't know the
answer at all. Kanda then activates another effect of Quiz
Panel Obelisk: 10 to special reverse set up Quiz Panel Obelisk:
20 onto the field. Manjyome has just realized Kanda's tactics.
Although Judai is a capable guy who can create a miracle,
he doesn't know how to deal with the quizs that need the
brain exercise (In other words, Judai's brain isn't good).
Asuka admires that Kanda is doing such a splendid job. Of
course, Kanda is getting very happy by Asuka's prise.
Judai hasn't finished his turn yet. He just didn't know
the previous answer by chance, but not for all. The turn
is still with him, so he declares the second attack of E-Hero
Featherman against Quiz Panel Ra: 10. When Quiz Panel Ra:
10 is flipped, a panel again moves to attaches itself onto
the quiz board. By the special effect of Quiz Panel Ra:
10, Kanda declares the required action as following;
[Quiz
Panel Ra: 10 - 1/0/0]
Flip: Your opponent must answer
the following problem within 10 seconds. Afterwards,
this card is destroyed and 1 [Quiz
Panel Ra: 20] is set on your Field from your
deck, hand, or Cemetery. When he/she answers correctly,
deal 500 points of damage to yourself. When he/she
answers incorrectly, the attacking Monster is destroyed
and 500 points of damage is dealt to the opponent.
Problem: Say [Gagagigo],
[Giga Gagagigo], and
[Gogiga Gagagigo] three
times.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Note:
1. [Gagagigo - 4/1850/1000]
2. [Giga Gagagigoe - 5/2450/1500]
3. [Gogiga Gagagigo - 8/2950/1800]
All of these are actual OCG cards. |
It requires Judai say [Gagagigo],
[Giga Gagagigo], and [Gogiga
Gagagigo] three times correctly within 10 seconds.
Judai presses the button on his player panel quickly, having
ready to go with confidence. When he begins to say fast,
he gets the first one, [Gagagigo],
right. However, he mixex up with the second name [Giga
Gagagigo] as [Gigo
Gagagigo], and the third one [Gogiga
Gagagigo] as [Gogage~].
Then, he ends up with biting his tongue, getting hurt, and
sitting down. Kanda feels sorry to him. Since Judai fails
again, the consequence of Quiz Panel Ra: 10 is similar.
His E-Hero Featherman is destroyed, and Judai's LP reduces
to 3000 (3500-500). In addition to the special effect of
Quiz Panel Ra: 10, when it's destroyed, Quiz Panel Ra: 20
can be special reversed set up onto the field. Judai ends
his turn here.
|
Quiz! Right
or Left
Magic Card |
The turn comes to Kanda. Drawing a card, he plays the magic
card [Quiz! Right or Left - Magic:
Hold this card in either your left hand or your right hand
behind your back. Your opponent must call which hand is
holding this card. If they are correct, your opponent gains
500 Life Points. If they are incorrect, deal 500 points
of damage to your opponent]. By its effect, Kanda
is going to hide this card behind his back. Judai has to
guess which hand is holding it. If he gets it right, his
LP will increase by 500. On the contrary, his LP will decrease
by 500 if he gets it wrong. Judai actively presses the answer
button on his panel before answering quickly that it must
be on the left side. Kanda shows that Judai's got it right,
so Judai's LP moves up to 3500 (3000+500). Kanda wonders
whether Judai may obtain the power to draw out the destiny.
Setting up a face-down card, Kanda ends his turn.
It's now Judai's turn. Drawing a card, he summons [E-Hero
Burst Lady - 3/1200/800] onto the field in an attack
position. He continues to play the magic card [O-Over
Soul - Magic: Special summon 1 Normal monster with Elemental
Hero in its name from your graveyard] form his hand.
According to its effect, it allows him to resummon E-Hero
Sparkman from his graveyard onto the field. Judai lets E-Hero
Sparkman attack and open Quiz Panel Osiris: 10. The panel
moves up onto the quiz board, and Kanda declares the problem
of this panel.
[Quiz
Panel Osiris: 10 - 1/0/0]
Flip: Your opponent must answer
the following problem within 10 seconds. Afterwards,
this card is destroyed and 1 [Quiz
Panel Osiris: 20] is set on your Field from
your deck, hand, or Cemetery. When he/she answers
correctly, deal 500 points of damage to yourself.
When he/she answers incorrectly, the attacking Monster
is destroyed and 500 points of damage is dealt to
the opponent.
Problem: Do 20 pushups within 10
seconds. |
This problem requires Judai do pushup 20 times within 10
seconds. Judai feels very confident to his physical strength.
He presses the red button on his player panel quickly to
start counting the time before jumping down to do pushup
on the floor. Getting tired, he can made it. Since Judai
could pass it, Kanda's LP has to reduce instead according
to the effect of Quiz Panel Osiris: 10. His LP moves down
to 3500 (4000-500). Furthermore, when Quiz Panel Osiris:
10 is destroyed, Quiz Panel Osiris: 20 can be special reversed
set up onto the field. Kanda thinks that he must win for
Asuka no matter what kind of dirty methods he has to use.
Meanwhile, Judai looks back at him with an amazed face.

|
It's now still in Judai's turn. He thinks
that Osiris' problem should be easy again following its
level, so he declares the attack of E-Hero Burst Lady against
Quiz Panel Osiris: 20. The panel is burnt and open. When
it's attached on the quiz board, Judai challenges for any
kind of problem. He is exercising his legs as if there may
be more physical requirement coming. Kanda then declares
the problem of Quiz Panel Osiris: 20.
[Quiz
Panel Osiris: 20 - 1/0/0]
Flip: Your opponent must answer
the following problem within 10 seconds. Afterwards,
this card is destroyed and 1 [Quiz
Panel Osiris: 30] is set on your Field from
your deck, hand, or Cemetery. When he/she answers
correctly, deal 800 points of damage to yourself.
When he/she answers incorrectly, the attacking Monster
is destroyed and 800 points of damage is dealt to
the opponent.
Problem: How many turns have passed? |
The problem is what the number of this turn is. Judai falls
down and feels disappointed because he expected physical
problem (what a labor guy!). Anyway, he presses the button
and answers firmly that it's the 5th turn now. While Judai
is happy that he has got it right, Kanda mentions that the
real problem is from now on. He opens his reversed trap
card [Queschange!? - Trap: You can
only activate this card when a Monster with Quiz Panel in
its name has its problem answered correctly by the opposing
player. The damage of its effect is negated and another
Monster on the Field with Quiz Panel in its name is flipped
face-up, its Reverse effect activates]. Because Judai
got the answer right, this trap card can be activated. It
negates the damages that Kanda should receive when Judai
got the right answer. Meanwhile, when Quiz Panel Osiris:
20 is destroyed, Quiz Panel Osiris: 30 is special reversed
set up onto the field. In addition to the effect of the
trap card, another Quiz Panel Monster on the field can be
flipped up. Kanda decides to flip up Quiz Panel Obelisk:
20, giving its problem to Judai.
[Quiz
Panel Obelisk: 20 - 1/0/0]
Flip: Your opponent must answer
the following problem within 10 seconds. Afterwards,
this card is destroyed and 1 [Quiz
Panel Obelisk: 30] is set on your Field from
your deck, hand, or Cemetery. When he/she answers
correctly, deal 800 points of damage to yourself.
When he/she answers incorrectly, the attacking Monster
is destroyed and 800 points of damage is dealt to
the opponent.
Problem: What is the total number
of Monster levels in the Cemetery? |
The problem requires Judai answer how many
there are total numbers of monster levels in the graveyards.
Judai doesn't think that it's hard, but he doesn't consider
carefully. He thinks that there is only E-Hero Featherman
in his cemetery, so the total level should be its level
or "3". He presses
the button and gives the answer quickly. Nevertheless, Judai
got it wrong. Kanda claims that Judai forgot to include
the levels of monsters in his graveyard. Judai didn't expect
that the problem refers to both cemeteries. Thus, E-Hero
Burst Lady is destroyed, and his LP reduces to 2700 (3500-800).
By the effect of Quiz Panel Obelisk: 20, when it's destroyed,
Quiz Panel Obelisk: 30 can be special reversed set up onto
the field.
Judai thinks that it wasn't a fair play; Kanda
should have explained the question clearly. Kanda replies
that it's such a splendid tactic. If Judai wants to claim
that, that he has the physical strength since he was born
may be called unfair, either. Judai feels tired of Kanda's
silly or absurb thought. He argues that kind of thing isn't
necessary in a duel. Kanda seems confused by Judai's words
about the neccessary thing in the duel until Asuka has to
get up. She yells, "Don't be
seduced by Judai's words! Crush him down at a stretch!".
Her voice is so loud that Manjyome gets scared. Kanda accepts
her command and feels glad that Asuka gave the advice to
him.
|
Hunter Channel
Magic Card |
Kanda declares his turn. Judai is amazed by
the sudden change of Kanda who turns to be active quickly.
Drawing a card, Kanda plays the magic card [Hunter
Channel - Magic: Flip 1 Monster set on your Field with Quiz
Panel in its name to face-up defense mode, its Reverse effect
activates]. Due to its effect, one Quiz Panel monster
can be flip open. Thus, Kanda selects to open Quiz Panel
Ra: 20. When the quiz panel is attached onto the quiz board,
Kanda mentions the problem to Judai.
[Quiz
Panel Ra: 20 - 1/0/0]
Flip: Your opponent must answer
the following problem within 10 seconds. Afterwards,
this card is destroyed and 1 [Quiz
Panel Ra: 30] is set on your Field from your
deck, hand, or Cemetery. When he/she answers correctly,
deal 800 points of damage to yourself. When he/she
answers incorrectly, the attacking Monster is destroyed
and 800 points of damage is dealt to the opponent.
Problem: Draw the card from the
top of deck. That card's text must be within 50 characters
or less. |
The problem requires Judai draw a card with the texts fewer
than 50 characters. Judai thinks that he has such a strong
drawing skill as well. When he draws, he gets E-Hero Wildman.
Judai reads the effect and ensures that they aren't over
50 letters. Since Judai got it right, Kanda's LP reduces
instead. It moves down to 2700 (3500-800) equal to Judai's
now. According to the special of Quiz Panel Ra: 20, when
it's destroyed, Quiz Panel Ra: 30 can be special reversed
set up onto the field. Setting up a face-down card, Kanda
ends his turn.
Hint:
Comparison of the texts on Eng and JP E-Hero Wildman
Japanese OCG Text: Kono
Ca-Do Wa Trap Kouka O Ukenai.
>> around 34 characters including space counting
(It depends on how we count Kanji and Hiragana texts
as well)
English OCG Text: This
card is uneffected by the effects of trap cards.
>> around 53 characters if we include
space counting. If not, it ends up with around 44
characters.
In Japanese texts, there should be no problem in
any kind of counting at all. However, in English texts,
there may be a bit problem since the texts may be
longer than 50 if we count spaces. This anime follows
Japanese texts, so the condition of Quiz Panel Ra:
20 is satisfied. |
The turn moves to Judai. Drawing a card, he summons [N-Air
Hummingbird - 3/800/600: Increase the controller of this
Monster's Life Points by 500 for each card in your opponent's
hand. This effect can only be used once during a turn]
onto the field in an attack position. By its special effect,
it can increase Judai's LP by 500 points for each card on
Kanda's hand. There are 2 cards on Kanda's hand, so Judai's
LP moves up to 3700 (2700+500*2). After that, he plays the
magic card [Miracle Fusion - Magic:
Remove the Monsters determined by a Fusion Monster from
your Field and/or Cemetery from the game, and Special Summon
that Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck with E-HERO in
its name. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.)].
Fusing E-Hero Bust Lady and E-Hero Featherman in his graveyard,
Judai summons [E-Hero Flame Wingman
- 6/2100/1200: This monster can be summoned only by fusion.
When this Monster destroys a Monster as a result of Battle,
do direct damage to your opponent equal to the attack points
of the destroyed monster] onto the field in an attack
position. He lets E-Hero Sparkman attack to flip up the
question of Quiz Panel Ra: 30. Its problem is as following;
[Quiz
Panel Ra: 30 - 1/0/0]
Flip: Your opponent must answer
the following problem within 10 seconds. Afterwards,
this card is destroyed. When he/she answers correctly,
deal 1200 points of damage to yourself. When he/she
answers incorrectly, the attacking Monster is destroyed
and 1200 points of damage is dealt to the opponent.
Problem: You must choose 1 card
from your deck. Your opponent must call the number
of Monsters drawn on that specific card. |
Kanda explains the question that Judai has to call the
number of monsters on the picture of the card that he is
going to draw. He draws a card and gets the magic card [The
Big March of a Hundred Beasts ~ Hyakujyuu Daikoushin - Instant
Magic: Until the End Phase, increase the attack strength
of all face-up Animal Sub-Type Monsters on your side of
the Field by 200 points for each Animal Sub-Type Monster
on your side of the Field]. There seems to be a bunch
of monsters on the picture of this card. Judai certainly
can't answer until time's up (I can't get the answer either
since there are too many monster pictures on the card).
At this moment, Kanda opens his reversed trap card [And
Let's Double It! ~ Sarani Bai - Trap: You can only activate
this card when a Monster with Quiz Panel in its name destroys
an opponent's Monsters with its effect. Negate the destruction
of that Monster, the effect damage of the Monster with Quiz
Panel in its name is doubled]. This double increases
the damages that Judai will get from Quiz Panel monster.
Instead, Judai's monster, E-Hero Sparkman, won't be destroyed.
Thus, Judai has to get the direct 2400 damages (1200*2)
because he got the answer of Quiz Panel Ra: 30 wrong. His
LP goes down to 1300 (3700-2400).

Monster Card |
Let's Double
It!
Trap Card |
The game is still with Judai. He lets E-Hero Flame Wingman
attack to flip up the question of Quiz Panel Osiris: 30.
Its problem is as following;
[Quiz
Panel Osiris: 30 - 1/0/0]
Flip: Your opponent must answer
the following problem within 10 seconds. Afterwards,
this card is destroyed. When he/she answers correctly,
deal 1200 points of damage to yourself. When he/she
answers incorrectly, the attacking Monster is destroyed
and 1200 points of damage is dealt to the opponent.
Problem: Hold your breath for one
whole minute. |
This problem requires Judai hold his breath
for one minute. Judai seemingly looks very happy to this
physical problem. A bowl of water then appears in front
of him, and he has to put his face into it for one minute
(Nobody can breathe in water unless you are a fish). Kanda
holds a watch and counts the time. One minute has passed,
and Judai can make it. Thus, Kanda's LP has to decrease
instead. His LP goes down to 1500 (2700-1200) due to the
effect of Quiz Panel Osiris: 30.
Judai then performs the last attack. He lets N-Air Hummingbird
attack to flip up the question of Quiz Panel Obelisk: 30,
which is supposed to be the most difficult question. The
problem is as following;
[Quiz
Panel Obelisk: 30 - 1/0/0]
Flip: Your opponent must answer
the following problem within 10 seconds. Afterwards,
this card is destroyed. When he/she answers correctly,
deal 1200 points of damage to yourself. When he/she
answers incorrectly, the attacking Monster is destroyed
and 1200 points of damage is dealt to the opponent.
Problem: Name each of the three
specific cards that will cause a Special Win Condition. |
When Kanda calls the problem, Judai feels
that he has heard of it somewhere before. People have just
realized that it's the problem on the card that Kanda droppped
from the tree, and Judai, Kenzan, and Sho could pick it
up this morning. They talked about the three answers already
(Exodia, Destiny Board, and Final Countdown). Sho and Kenzan
thinks that this is such a good luck for Judai, expecting
him to remember all answers. Judai can answer the first
two, Exodia and Destiny Board, which are Kenzan's and Sho's
answers. Meanwhile, Kanda is obviously in a pagic by his
mistake. However, Judai couldn't get the third one (Final
Countdown), saying that he has already forgotten about it.
Time's up while Sho and Kenzan look
so shocked. Since he got this problem wrong, N-Air Hummingbird
is destroyed and his LP reduces to 100 (1300-1200). Judai
feels sorry to his monster for his failure.
Hint:
Name each of the three specific cards that will cause
a Special Win Condition.
1. Exodia - Spellcaster/Effect/3/1000
DEF/1000 - Monster
Effect: When you have "Right Leg of
the Forbidden One", "Left Leg of the Forbidden
One", "Right Arm of the Forbidden One"
and "Left Arm of the Forbidden One" in addition
to this card in your hand, you WIN
the Duel.
2. Destiny Board ~
Ouija Ban - Trap
Effect: At the end of each of your opponent's
turns, place 1 "Spirit Message" card from
your hand or your Deck face-up on the field. If it
is from your Deck, then shuffle your Deck. When "Spirit
Message" cards "I", "N",
"A", and "L" are all on your side
of the field in their proper order, you are declared
the winner. If any of your "Spirit Message"
cards or "Destiny Board" are removed from
the field, all your "Spirit Message" cards
and "Destiny Board" on the field are sent
to your Graveyard immediately.
3. Final Countdown
~ Shuuen No Countdown - Magic
Effect: Pay 2000 Life Points. After
20 turns have passed after you activate this card
(counting the turn you activate this card as the 1st
turn), you Win the Duel.
Exodia (Yugi's card) is Kenzan's answer, Destiny
Board (Bakura's card) is Sho's answer, and Final Countdown
is Kanda's answer. These cards have some special winning
condition in their own effects. Judai doesn't give
the third answer which is Kanda's answer. He thinks
that it's unfair to give the answer that belongs to
the opponent. Actually, he can't think of any card
at all. This question is difficult and really deserves
the final question of Obelisk 30 level.

Kanda asks whether Judai has really forgotten the answer.
Judai says that although he could have remembered, it's
the answer that Kanda gave him this morning. Thus, it's
unfair to use Kanda's answer anyway (Perhaps, Judai actually
forgot the third answer). Kanda wonders that the duel is
about to win, so any source of the answer shouldn't matter.
Judai explains, "If we love the
duel and give respect to the opponent, with the answer you
told me, it isn't fun at all". In other words,
he wouldn't have enjoyed the duel if he had got the answer
right because of Kanda. At this moment, Kanda has realized
Judai's words are very similar to what he read in Gotcha's
messages Judai sets up a reversed card and claims that he
will bring the victory by his own hand (answer). Seeing
Judai's act, Kanda becomes confused by whether winning by
a cheat can be fun. He tries to think of Gotcha-San's answer.
Meanwhile, Asuka cheers him and says that he has been doing
well. Kanda looks at Asuka and reminds him of his purpose.
In order to let Asuka accept him, he may have got to use
any trick if neccessary. At this point, Judai ends his turn.
It's now Kanda's turn. He claims before moving that Judai
is going to be defeated. Judai asks what Kanda is talking
about because he sees no quiz panel set up on his field.
Kanda says that he still has one trump card left. Drawing
a card, he plays the magic card [Question
~ Quiz - Magic: When activating this card, your opponent
cannot check cards in the Graveyard. Your opponent calls
the name of the first monster found at the bottom of your
Graveyard. If he/she calls it right, the monster is removed
from play. If he/she calls it wrong, the monster is Special
Summoned to your side of the field]. This magic contains
the problem that Judai has to call the name of the first
monster at the bottom of Kanda's deck. Judai feels uncomfortable
to this memory question. He thinks that it should be the
first Quiz Panel monster, so he pressed the red button and
answers confidently that it must be Quiz Panel Obelisk:
10. Nevertheless, he is very surprised when he gets it wrong.
Kanda feels pity to him. In his first turn, he played the
magic card, Search Shock, that required him discard a monster
card into the graveyard to play it. Judai had no chance
to know this discarded card at all. Since Judai got the
answer wrong, Kanda can special summon this monster onto
the field. It's his key monster [Nazora

Monster Card |
When Nazora Panel 9 is succefully summoned onto the field,
Kanda can return all Quiz Panel monsters in his graveyard
to his deck. Judai wonders whether he has to repeat all
Quizs. Kanda is afraid to tell him that Quiz Hour has already
been over. E-Hero Sparkman has 1600 attack points while
Nazora Panel 9 has 1900 attack points. Judai has only 100
LP left. If Kanda attacks, he will certainly win. Thus,
Kanda declares the attack of Nazora Panel 9 against E-Hero
Sparkman quickly. At this timing, Judai smirks and opens
his reversed trap card [Secret Mission
- Trap: You can only activate this card when your opponent's
Monster attacks. Your opponent must choose whether to choose
a Monster randomly on your Field and do battle with it,
or to end his/her's Battle Phase], surprising Kanda
a bit. According to its effect, Kanda has to randomly select
the target monster on Judai's field or to end his battle
phase. The smoke is then launched to hide E-Hero Sparkman
and E-Hero Flame Wingman. If Kanda gets the right one, E-Hero
Sparkman, he will win. However, if he gets E-Hero Flame
Wingman with much higher attack points, Judai will win.
Judai seems to enjoy that he is the one who sets up the
question back to Kanda this time. He urges Kanda to answer.
Kanda decides to pick up the left one, declaring the attack
of Nazora Panel 9 against it shortly. All people look very
excited to the selected choice. When the smoke is gone,
there appears E-Hero Flame Wingman standing firmly. That
means Kanda got the wrong target. As a result, Nazora Panel
9 is destroyed and his LP reduces to 1300 (1500+1900-2100).
Judai claims additional effect of E-Hero Flame Wingman that
Kanda has to receive more damages from the attack points
of Nazora Panel 9 (1900). Finally, Kanda's LP goes down
to 0 (1300-1900), and Judai wins the game.
Asuka gets up and says that the guy whom Manjyome has misunderstood
still couldn't beat Judai anyway. Then, she walks out alone
while Manjyome is watching after her. He thinks that Asuka
is too cool today. On the other side, Kanda blames himself
as a stupid guy since he still can't catch Asuka's eyes.
Judai doesn't think so while walking into him. He is impressed
by Kanda's quiz duel, telling him to be more confident in
his own deck, to love the duel, and to give respect to the
opponent. Hearing Judai's words, Kanda believes that Judai
must be Gotcha-San. Judai apparently becomes scared a bit.
He seems to be the one who initiated the idea of love and
respect to Kanda. From now on, Kanda, therefore, intends
to call Gotcha-San as Big Brother or Aniki (The same word
as what Kenzan and Sho call him). Kanda tries to jump over
and hug Judai, but Judai can dodge. Judai then tries to
correct Kanda that he actually isn't a love consultant,
but Kanda doesn't listen. Kanda just repeats "Please
teach me more about love, Big Brother~". Judai
begins to run around on the duel stage as Kanda is chasing
after him, asking for help from Sho and Kenzan. Sho and
Kenzan seem to get sick of this and don't do anything.
