At a living room of Obelisk Blue, Tome-San is busy with
cleaning the room. Pharaoh is sitting on a table and watching
a small robotic carpet cleaner, which looks like itself,
moving around to clean the room. Tome-San then notices that
the container on another table is empty. She wonders because
a doll supposed to be inside has gone. At the same time,
the students have already returned from the school trip.
At the seaport, they arrive by the big cruise except for
Red students who seem to return by a little red tubboat.
Judai is very glad to return to Dual Academy. He and the
others agree to that although it's such a tough school trip,
it's also a good memory to remind them of this trip. The
spirit of Winged Kuriboh then appears close to Judai, looking
toward Duel Academia with such a pity sound. Judai wonders
whether there is something wrong.
When Judai, Kenzan, and Sho return to Osiris Red dorm,
they are very surprised by the fact that the dorm looks
very sparkling clean. Judai thinks that they really have
come to the right Red dorm , Sho notes that it looks too
clean, and Kenzan adds that this is very weird. Then, a
cute voice greets them for coming back. When people look
up, they see such a very pretty girl with long black hair
and dress on the second floor. While Judai wonders who she
is, Sho and Kenzan have been attracted by her lovely look
already. The girl greets them again and introduces herself
as [Alice]. Kenzan hurries
to step in the front to introduce his name. He also introduces
Sho and Judai as his followers (Kobun). Sho gets mad and
asks who is actually his follower as Judai sees Kenzan look
funny. Alice is glad to know them all, calling them Kenzan
and the followers. Three of them just smile and look very
happy.

They then move into the Osiris Red dining. Alice serve
them cups of lemon tea. Judai wonders whether Red dorm has
such a tea like this. Kenzan becomes very impressed. Judai
asks who Alice is and what she has been doing here. Alice
tells him that she is a new exchange student. Today, she
met with her classmates, but everybody looked scary. Judai
becomes surprised because he has never heard of her before.
Sho asks her why she has come to Osiris Red while picking
up the tea to drink. Kenzan says that he doesn't care what
the business of this wonderful girl is. Meanwhile, Sho splits
out the tea as if its taste isn't as good as its look. Kenzan,
anyway, can no longer control his emotion, feeling very
fasinated and attracted by this girl (He says "Meromero"
which means "The soft spot in
his heart" or "sentiment";
his soft heart has already been captured and shaked by little
lady).
Later at night, Misawa has come to see them at the dining
room. He claims that he has already heard of the exchange
student, Alice, but he wonders why they call him here. Judai
says that he invites him here to eat. Misawa becomes very
surprised after seeing such a wonderful and luxerious dinner
on the table. He wonders whether it's all done by the girl.
Judai confirms him as Sho points to where Alice is. There
appears Alice spoon feeding Kenzan. Kenzan thinks that the
food is very delicious. Judai explains that Kenzan has already
been attracted and forgotten himself. Misawa looks a bit
surprised before saying that he feels jealous. Judai turns
back to him as if he isn't sure what Misawa was talking.
Misawa hurries to deny that he didn't say anything (Misawa
is also very attracted by a cute girl, but he has never
expressed his emotion openly due to his pride and personality).
Sho gets sick of them while eating sherry in a bowl. When
Alice turns to people, Misawa looks worried a bit. Judai
asks what's wrong with him. Misawa says that he feels as
if he has seen this lady before somewhere else.

At night time, the spirit of Winged Kuriboh wakes Judai
up. Judai asks what's wrong with it since it is still in
the midnight. Winged Kuriboh still tries to wake him up,
so Judai has to get up and follow it outside. Meanwhile,
sleeping Kenzan is walking deeper into the forest by the
lead of Alice's voice. He mumbles "I
am coming, Alice-Chan~". Judai calls for Kenzan
and looks for him by the guide of Winged Kuriboh. He asks
it whether Kenzan has really come this way. Winged Kuriboh
convinces him, so Judai keeps on running and searching for
Kenzan. When he comes near the lake, he sees Misawa laying
down against a tree and looking unconscious. Judai looks
surprised, runs in, and shakes Misawa to wake him up. When
Misawa gets awake, Judai asks what he has been doing here.
Previously, Misawa became doubtful about Alice, so he went
through the investigation on her after he returned to his
room. He tries to remember something, but his head looks
hurt. Judai asks what's wrong with him. Misawa says that
he doesn't know either. It seems that he can't remember
anything about Alice.
Winged Kuriboh then disappears by the interruption of Alice.
She greets them and asks whether they have looked for her.
There appears Alice walking on the lake. Judai gets mad
and asks for Kenzan. Alice just wants to approach into a
duel with him. However, it's [The
Duel of Despair ~ Zetsubou No Duel]. As Misawa looks
amazed, he sees Kenzan collapse onto the ground on the other
side of the tree. Judai is getting more amazed by who she
is and what she's doing. Alice says that she is the exchange
student from the desperate land while stepping onto the
land. She has come to duel against them, the duelists with
the light of hope. If they are defeated, they lose everything.
She will let them wander in the desparate abyss forever.
Judai doesn't understand why she has to do this. Alice says
that she just can't forgive the duelists who think that
they create the light duel of hope. Thus, she intends to
send them to travel in the desperate and dark abyss. Her
eyes glow purple while she finishes setting up her duel
disk. Kenzan is also getting and preparing to duel against
her. Nevertheless, Judai interferes. Although he doesn't
understand anything, he would like to become her opponent
instead of Kenzan. Judai tries to convince her by saying
that that he's also strong. Meanwhile, Misawa doesn't look
happy as if Judai has taken a good spot again. Seeing Judai
a duelist who is confident in his strength and power, Alice
accepts his replacement. She intends to push him down into
the desperate darkness. However, Judai declares that he
will show her [The Duel of Hope ~
Kobou No Duel]. Alice surely doesn't think that he
can do by his strength.

Misawa lays Kenzan against the tree while turning back
to Judai with worry. When both of them are ready, the duel
between despair and hope begins. First turn is with Alice.
Drawing a card, he summons [Alice
the Wandering Bisque Doll ~ Samayoi No Bisque Doll Alice
- 3/?/1000: {This card cannot be destroyed as a result of
battle. When this card is attacked, deal 500 points of damage
to your opponent. Afterwards, the control of this card is
shifted to your opponent.}] onto the field in a defense
position. After setting up two cards, she plays the field
magic [The Haunted Dollhouse ~ Norowareta
Dollhouse - Field Magic: {When a Alice the Wandering Bisque
Doll's control is shifted to the opponent, its controller
can search their deck for 1 Monster in their deck with Doll-Part
in its name and Special Summon it??}]. The dollhouse
emerges from the ground and surrouds the battlefield. Judai
can realize quickly that she is playing a doll deck. Alice
then ends her turn here.

Judai thinks that this should be fun as usual. In his turn,
he draws a card and summons [E-Hero
Burst Lady - 3/1200/800] onto the field in an attack
position. He declares its attack against Alice the Wandering
Bisque Doll immediately. When Alice the Wandering Bisque
Doll gets the hit, Alice feels pity for Judai since this
monster can't be destroyed in battle. While Judai is getting
surprised, red aura glows around him. He feels hurt while
his LP is reducing. Alice explains its special effect that
when it gets hit, Judai has to receive 500 direct damage
points. Thus, his LP decreases to 3500 (4000-500). Also,
this monster becomes under Judai's control, so Alice the
Wandering Bisque Doll reappears onto Judai's field in the
same defense position. After that, Alice activates the effect
of The Haunted Dollhouse at this timing. It allows her to
special summon one Doll-Part from her deck onto the field.
Thus, she selects to special summon [Doll-Part,
Blue - 1/0/0], which is a scary doll head shape,
onto the field in an attack position. Judai doesn't do anything,
ending his turn at this point.
The turn comes to Alice. She draws a card and summons [Doll-Part,
Gold - 1/0/0], which is a doll two-arm shape, onto
the field in an attack position. She declares the attack
of Doll-Part, Gold against E-Hero Burst Lady at once. Misawa
is surprised by that Alice is going to let 0-attack-point
monster to strike. It's certainly destroyed, and Alice's
LP decreases to 2800 (4000+0-1200). At this moment, she
opens one of her reversed trap card [Necro-Doll
Meister - Trap: You can activate this card when a Monster
with Doll-Part in its name is destroyed as a result of battle.
Special Summon 2 Monsters from your deck with Doll-Part
in its name from your deck in attack mode]. This
card can be activated only if a Doll-Part monster, Doll-Part,
Gold, is destroyed. It allows her to special summon two
Doll-Part monsters from her deck onto the field. As a result,
[Doll-Part, Pink - 1/0/0],
which is a doll body shape, and [Doll-Part,
Red - 1/0/0], which is a doll two-leg with shoe shape,
are special summoned onto the field in a defense position.

She then opens another face-down trap card [Soul
Resurrection ~ Yomigaerishi Tamashii - Trap: Special Summon
1 Normal Monster from your Graveyard in Defense Position.
When this card is removed from the field, the monster is
destroyed. When the monster is destroyed, this card is also
destroyed]. It allows her to resummon Doll-Part,
Gold from the graveyard onto the field in a defense position.
While Judai looks very impressed, Alice declares her move.
She lets Doll-Part, Blue attack defending Alice the Wandering
Bisque Doll. Misawa wonders by the repeating attack of the
0-attack-point monster. Although Doll-Part, Blue isn't destroyed,
Alice has to receive the damage by the differences. Thus,
her LP goes down to 1800 (2800+0-1000). According to the
special effect of Alice the Wandering Bisque Doll, when
it gets the strike, Alice has to receive further damages
of 500 points. Therefore, her LP more reduces to 1300 (1800-500).
Also, Alice the Wandering Bisque Doll has to return to Alice's
field (Her purpose here is to get Alice the Wandering Bisque
Doll from Judai's field back onto her field).
After that, she plays the magic card [Burial
of the Marionette ~ Marionette No Maisou - Magic: When a
Alice the Wandering Bisque Doll is on your Field, use a
Doll-Part, Blue, Doll-Part, Gold, Doll-Part, Pink, and a
Doll-Part, Red on your Field as sacrifices in order to Special
Summon Doll Chimera from your {deck??}] from her
hand. By its effect, Alice can sacrifice Doll-Part Blue,
Gold, Pink, and Red to special summon [Doll
Chimera - 5/0/0: {This card cannot be Normal Summoned? This
card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of Burial
of the Marionette? Increase this card's attack strength
by 400 each Monster in your Cemetery with Doll-Part in its
name? When this card is in your Cemetery, send 2 Monsters
from your deck with Doll-Part in their name, negate this
Monster's destruction.}] onto the field in an attack
position. Judai looks obviously worried by such a scary
doll monster of Alice.

Facing against Doll Chimera, Judai wonders
what this kind of weird monster is. Alice explains that
the attack points of Doll Chimera can go up by 400 points
for each Doll-Part monster in the graveyard. There are four
Doll-Part used as tributes in the cemetry, so the attack
points of Doll Chimera become 1600 (400*4). Alice ends her
turn at this time.

Laris the
Stargazing Bird
Monster Card |
Meanwhile, Kenzan is calling Alice's name in his sleep
as Misawa looks very concerned by Judai. The turn is now
with Judai. He can feel such a trouble from this scary monster.
Drawing a card, he summons a new monster [Laris
the Stargazing Bird - 3/800/800: This card's attack strength
is increased x200 the level of the opposing Monster it battles
with. If this card attacks, remove this card from the game
at the end of the Damage Step and return it to your Field
during your next turn's Battle Phase] onto the field
in an attack position. Alice sees that its attack points
still can't oppose her Doll Chimera's. Judai doesn't think
so. He explains the special effect of Laris the Stargazing
Bird that its attack points can increase by 200 for each
star of the opposing monster it's against. Doll Chimera
has 5 stars, so the golden 5 stars appear above Laris the
Stargazing Bird. They increase the attack points of Laris
the Stargazing Bird to 1800 (800+200*5). Judai declares
its attack against Doll Chimera after that. When Doll Chimera
is destroyed, Alice's LP decreases to 1100 (1300+1600-1800).
Due to another effect of Laris the Stargazing Bird, it has
to be removed from the game after attacking. It will return
in the next battle phase of Judai.
Anyway, Judai is very surprised, seeing Doll Chimera return
onto the field with scary black aura. Alice explains that
Doll Chimera is immortal. By its special effect, she can
send two Doll-Part monsters, Doll-Part, Blue and Doll-Part,
Pink, from her deck into the cemetry to negate the destruction.
Since there are two more Doll-Part monsters in her graveyard,
the attack points of Doll Chimera become 2400 (1600+400*2
or 400*6). Judai turns E-Hero Burst Lady into a defense
position, ending his turn.
It's now Alice's turn. Drawing a card, she activates [Doll
Hammer - Magic: Destroy 1 Monster on your Field in order
to draw 2 cards. Change the current mode of 1 Monster on
your opponent's Field] from her hand. According to
its effect, Doll Chimera is destroyed, and she can draw
additional two cards. Also, it can change the position E-Hero
Burst Lady into an attack position. Repeatedly, she sends
Doll-Part, Red, and Doll-Part, Gold, from her deck into
the graveyard to negate the destruction of Doll Chimera.
Currently, when two more Doll-Part monsters are in the cemetry,
the attack points of Doll-Chimera become 3200 (2400+400*2
or 400*8). Alice declares its battle against E-Hero Burst
Lady immediately. When E-Hero Burst Lady is destroyed, Judai's
LP reduces to 1500 (3500+1200-3200). Setting up a face-down
card, Alice ends her turn.
In Judai's turn, he draws a card and summons [E-Hero
Bubbleman - 4/800/1200: If this card is the only card in
your hand, you can Special Summon it in attack mode. When
this card is successfully Normal Summoned, Special Summoned,
or Reverse Summoned when it is the only card on your Field,
draw 2 cards from your deck] onto the field in an
attack position. By its special effect, Judai can draw additional
two cards when there is no other card on his field. He gets
Pot of Greed and Bubble Shot. Then, he plays Pot of Greed
to draw more two cards and gets Metamorphosis and E-Hero
Sparkman. Other cards on his hand are Polymerization, Infiltration!
Spy Hero, Fusion Recovery, Polymerization, Battle by 2, and
E-Hero Clayman. Judai begins to activate Polymerization,
fusing E-Hero Sparkman and E-Hero Clayman on his field into
[E-Hero Thunder Giant - 6/2400/1500:
Destroy 1 Monster on your opponents Field face-up with attack
strength base lower than attack strength of this Monster.
This effect can only be used once during your Main Phase].
By the special effect of E-Hero Thunder Giant, Doll Chimera
is destroyed. Since the original attack points of Doll Chimera
is 0 not 3200, this special effect is valid. Alice thinks
that it's useless. Her Doll Chimera can be revived by stronger
attack points. She sends two more Doll-Part monsters, Doll-Part,
Pink, and Doll-Part, Blue, from her deck into the graveyard
to negate the destruction of Doll Chimera. At this points,
Doll Chimera's attack points become 4000 (3200+400*2 or
400*10).
The turn is still with Judai. He plays Metamorphosis from
his hand. This card allows him to sacrifice a monster on
the field, E-Hero Bubbleman, to special summon a monster
with the same level from his deck onto the field. Thus,
[E-Hero Bubbleman Neo - 4/800/1200:
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot
be Special Summoned except by sending 1 Elemental Hero Bubbleman
from your side of the Field and 1 Metamorphosis from your
hand to the Graveyard. While face-up on the Field, this
card's name is treated as Elemental Hero Bubbleman. Destroy
a Monster that battles this card at the end of the Damage
Step] is special summoned. Judai then equips it with
[Bubble Shot - Equipment Magic: This
card can only be equipped to a Elemental Hero Bubbleman
on the Field. Increase the Equipped Monster's attack strength
by 800. Destroy this card in order to prevent the equipped
Monster from being destroyed, and taking any damage].
This increase the attack points of E-Hero Bubbleman Neo
to 1600 (800+800).
At this timing, Judai recalls the special effect of Laris
The Stargazing Bird, returning it onto his field in this
battle phase. His preparation has been complete, declaring
the battle. He lets E-Hero Bubbleman Neo attack Doll Chimera.
Alice thinks that it's still useless; the attack points
of E-Hero Bubbleman Neo are still lower. Judai activates
the effect of Bubble Shot that it can be destroyed to reduce
his battle damage to 0. Thus, E-Hero Bubbleman Neo's attack
points return to its original 800 points. At this moment,
Judai activates the special effect of E-Hero Bubbleman Neo
to destroy the monster it attacked, Doll Chimera, after
the damage step. Alice claims that Judai hasn't realized
yet that her Doll Chimera is immortal. Again, she sends
two more Doll-Part monsters, Doll-Part, Red, and Doll-Part,
Gold, from her deck into the graveyard to negate the destruction
of Doll Chimera. At this points, Doll Chimera's attack points
become 4800 (4000+400*2 or 400*12).
Judai doesn't think that her monster is actually immortal
while declaring the attack of E-Hero Thunder Giant against
Doll Chimera. Alice apparently sees that the attack points
of her monster are hight, so Judai's strike will be self-destruction.
Judai says that he won't give up until the end, and has
no part in despair, either. In case he is defeated, he just
keeps up more hope next time. Alice sees Judai such a happy
guy. Judai says that it's because the duel is fun not because
he's happy.
At this time, Judai plays his instant magic [Battle by 2 ~ Battle Bai Two - Instant Magic: When your opponent's
Monster's attack strength is double or higher than that
of an attacking Monster on your Field while in battle, your
Monster's original attack strength is doubled]. According
to its effect, when the opponent monster, Doll Chimera,
has twice higher attack points (4800) than his monster,
E-Hero Thunder Giant (2400), the attack points of E-Hero
Thunder Giant can become double or 4800 (2400*2). E-Hero
Thunder Giant then attacks Doll Chimera at this timing.
Both monsters have equal attack points, so they are all
destroyed. Alice thinks that his strike's still useless
since her monster is immortal. However, she has already
used up all of her Doll-Part monsters in the deck to revive
Doll Chimera. Thus, she can't negate this destruction.
Judai lets Laris The Stargazing Bird attack defending Alice
the Wandering Bisque Doll. By its special effect, although
it isn't destroyed in battle, Judai has to receive 500 damages.
His LP decreases to 1000 (1500-500). Also, Alice the Wandering
Bisque Doll is resummoned onto Judai's control. He keeps
on playing another magic card [Infiltration!
Spy Hero ~ Sennyu! Spy Hero - Magic: Send 2 cards from your
deck at random into the Cemetery. Randomly, select 1 Magic
card from your opponent's Cemetery and place it into your
hand]. Due to its effect, he sends two cards in his
deck into the graveyard to get one magic card from Alice's
cemetry and place it onto his hand. The magic card he gets
from his Spy Hero is Doll Hammer. Judai plays it at once
to destroy Alice the Wandering Bisque Doll on his field
in order to draw additional two cards.
Meanwhile, Alice opens her face-down trap card [The
Curse Unleashed ~ Tokihanatareta Noroi - Trap: {When a Alice
the Wandering Bisque Doll is destroyed, destroy all cards
on the Field and deal 300 damage points to their appropriate
controllers for each card destroyed in this way.}].
By its effect, when Alice the Wandering Bisque Doll's destroyed,
all cards on the field must be destroyed. Furthermore, both
sides have to get 300 direct damages for each of their cards
destroyed . As a result, E-Hero Thunder Giant is destroyed,
and Judai's LP reduces to 700 (1000-300). On the Alice's
side, her field magic, The Haunted Dollhouse, is destroyed,
and her LP decreases to 800 (1000-300).
Everything turns back to nothing. Judai tells Alice not
to make such a trouble face since the duel is fun. He has
already made a promise to show her the duel of hope. Alice
looks slightly surprised. Judai's turn hasn't ended yet.
He plays [Fusion Recovery - Magic:
Place 1 Fusion Material Monster used in a Fusion and 1 Polymerization
Magic card from your Cemetery into your hand] to
place E-Hero Sparkman and Polymerization from his graveyard
onto his hand. Setting two reversed cards, he ends his turn.
Alice no longer has Doll Chimera. She realizes that Judai
really duels with fun. Judai convinces that he pretty much
enjoys it. Alice reveals the truth that she is actually
a doll spirit. Judai is getting surprised while the spirit
of Winged Kuriboh appears near to him. He has just understood
why Winged Kuriboh previously always made the noise. It
tried to let him know the existence of this spirit (Winged
Kuriboh is like a monster spirit radar detector for him).
Alice tells her story that she always watched over the duelists
in her doll form. Undoubtly, she is the doll that disappeared
from the glass container in the living room where Tome-San
was cleaning. Blue students were dueling in the room. A
Blue student who played Doll Chimera was defeated and claimed
that it's because of the card's fault not his skill. He
thought that it's difficult to use, tearing it out into
two pieces. When she looked at the act of the heartless
duelist, the spirit of the evil card entered her heart.
She has disliked the duelists since then, trying to drag
all of them into the darkness of despair. However, the consequence
is that her heart becomes powerless. The heart of Doll Chimera
is full of anger and hatred against the duel. She really
feels sorry to it. Judai tells her that the duel hasn't
been over, so he suggests her not throw away hope yet. He
recalls that her turn hasn't ended yet.

Alice agrees to Judai and feels much better. In her turn,
she draws a card and plays the magic card [The
Door to Mirrorland - Silver Arch ~ Kagami No Kuni Eno Tobira
- Silver Arc - Magic: This card can only be activated when
you have a Alice the Wandering Doll in your Cemetery. Special
Summon a Ecila the Dainty Bisque Doll from your hand or
deck], which can be activated only if Alice the Wandering
Doll is in her graveyard. It allows her to special summon
[Ecila the Dainty Bisque Doll ~ Uruwashi
No Bisque Doll Esler - 2/1000: {This card cannot be Normal
Summoned?? This card can only be Special Summoned by the
effect of The Door to Mirror-land - Silver Arch?? For each
set of Doll-Part, Blue, Doll-Part, Gold, Doll-Part, Pink,
and Doll Part, Red Monsters in your Cemetery, this Monster's
attack strength increases by 1000.}].
By its special effect, the attack points of this monster
can go up by 1000 points for each set of Doll-Part monsters
in the graveyard. One set is equal to four Doll-Parts, Blue/Gold/Pink/Red.
There are three sets of these in her cemetry (She has three
cards of each Doll-Part monster), so the total attack points
of Ecila the Dainty Bisque Doll become 4000 (1000+1000*3).
Judai certainly looks very impressed by such a strength.

According to the special effect
of Winged Kuriboh LV 10, Judai can sacrifice it to destroy
all face-up monsters on the field, and deal damages equal
to the destroyed monsters to the opponent. Thus, Ecila the
Dainty Bisque is destroyed, and Alice has to receive 4000
damage points from its strength. Her LP becomes 0 (800-4000),
but she doesn't look sad at all. It doesn't matter whether
she wins or loses. The duel is fun. It's what Judai taught
and reminded her. Alice smiles while her body begins to
glow. She thanks them and says that the won't forget them.
She also enjoyed this duel very much. After Alice finishes
her last words, her body disappears. Kenzan finally gets
up and calls for Alice. It's pity that she has gone already.
Next day at the living room, Tome-San is glad to see that
the doll has already returned to the glass container. She
previously felt very worried when she didn't it see. Kenzan
feels so sad as Judai tries to comfort him. He hopes that
he will be able to see Alice again in one day. Until that
time has time, he plans to try his best. Kenzan says while
crying and calling for his Alice-Chan. Judai understands
his feeling, but doesn't say anything. He merely looks at
Alice doll and smiles.
