Deeper in the forest, a mysterious priestess (miko) is performing a ritual inside a cave. Then, the small group of ice wind swirls following with thunderbolt, and there appear two mysterious guys in masks. The guy calls the priestess [Mizuchi], asking whether she has called them here. Mizuchi calls both guys [Kourimaru ~ Ice] and [Ikazuchimaru ~ Thunder]. Since Yuki Judai has already arrived this city, she tells them to lure him into the trap. Kourimaru says that he can handle this job alone, and IKazuchimaru also wants to take this duty alone. Mizuchi warns them to be aware of the power coming out from this average person and not to look down him. She finally gives and suggests them use two unknown cards when the time to activate their power has come. Kourimaru and IKazuchimaru then leave to fulfill this mission.

Duel Academy cruise has finally arrived Domino seaport. Judai steps down and becomes very excited. His study event today is to have the sight seeing tour around Domino City. Meanwhile, Sho and Kenzan are carrying Misawa walking down from the ship because he seems to have seasick. As Vice Principle Napolean is going to announce today plan, Saiou interrupts him. He says that he has some important business to deal with, so he and his white group would like to leave. When Saiou walks away, the white students all follow him. Temp Principal Chronos and Vice Principle Napolean realize that they can't help anything about these people. Since most majority has left, Temp Principal Chronos tells Judai and his friends to have a free schedule today. Vice Principle Napolean agrees and walks away with Temp Principal Chronos. Misawa feels confused and doesn't understand why Association of Light must end up like this. Kenzan notes that this isn't the first time for them to be like this. Anyway, Judai doesn't care who is leaving. He just has some place he really wants to tour. Sho and Kenzan take out the city guide books and offer to guide Judai.

While people are talking, Misawa sees Edo walking pass and begins to talk to him. He expects Edo to know what Saiou is actually planning because Saiou is his manager. Edo says that now the situation is different. Meanwhile, Saiou is sitting in a car and talking to Manjyome and Asuka. He tells Manjyome to support his people for a mission. Manjyome responds firmly to let Saiou count on him before walking away. Asuka asks Saiou's opinion about Judai and Edo. Saiou thinks to let them go this time, he closes his car window and leaves.

Previously at the white dorm, Edo came to meet Saiou. Saiou had no doubt seeing Edo coming to his room. Edo came straight to the point and asked what Saiou intentionally planned to do. Saiou didn't answer but asked why Edo had been at this school. Edo said that he stayed here because he knew he would see Saiou. Saiou told him that his answer was wrong. Edo actually came at this school following his own destiny, so did Saiou. The destiny of Saiou and Edo seemed to be delay because of Yuki Judai, who could get over Saiou's destiny and cause significant changes. Edo didn't want to talk about that. His main point was why Saiou didn't tell anything about Association of Light. This made him feel uncertain about their relationship. Saiou began to cry, didn't give him the direct answer, but told him to follow the guidance of his destiny if Edo still trusted their relationship. Edo's turn would absolutely come soon, but he presently had to be quiet. Edo had understood everything. He decided to let Saiou do whatever he wished, and he would be watching over him for a while. Then, Edo left the room.

Saiou I knew you would finally come.
Edo What do you intend to do, Saiou?
Saiou Edo, why have you been at this school that you strongly have prejudice against?
Edo Because I think that I am able to see you if I am here.
Saiou The real answer is different. It's actually because of your destiny.
Edo My destiny?
Saiou The reason why I have come to this school is the same. The stagnation destiny of you and I begins to have a trouble by the whirl of sudden changes. The one who can get over the destiny that I show creates that whirl at this school.
Edo Are you talking about Yuki Judai?
Saiou Yes, all pieces have started to match in the middle of him.
Edo Piece?
Saiou

In front of the destiny, I am no more than a piece. If both sides are pieces, Edo, the relationship between you and I must be equal.

Edo I am not talking about that. I just wanna ask about Association of Light. Why haven't you told me about it? Is that really our kind of relationship?
Saiou Edo, if you feel the relationship with me, you should follow the guidance of the destiny without saying anything. Your turn will come sooner or later.
Edo You mean that I shouldn't say anything. I've got it, Saiou! I will be watching over what you are doing for a while.

Misawa keeps on his conversation with Edo. He asks Edo again what Saiou is thinking. Edo tells him that such a low duelist like Misawa certainly doesn't understand Saiou's thought. Misawa obviously gets mad because he believes that his true strength is well qualified for Obelisk Blue. Edo smirks and asks back why Association of Light doesn't aim to him. Perhaps, Misawa isn't good enough for Saiou to let him in. Misawa looks shocked a bit after hearing Edo's comment. He turns to and asks Judai for his words. Perhaps, Judai can help him argue against Edo. However, Sho, Judai, and Kenzan have already gone. It seems that Misawa is left behind. Edo then walks away without care while Misawa begins to look for his friends.

On the other side of the seaport, Sho and Kenzan lead Judai to the duel arena where Yugi and Jyonouchi dueled against each other by relationship. Judai is very impressed by this legendary place. However, Sho gets annoyed and tells Kenzan not to interfere his guide. Kenzan argues that he will be the one who tours Judai. Both of them begin to have a quarrel, and Sho claims for his victory over him. Kenzan says that he will win for sure next time. Both seem not to compromise until Judai has to stop them. He suggests everybody enjoy the school trip, and he is willing to follow the guide from both sides. Anyway, there is a place where he really wants to visit. Sho and Kenzan turn back happily at the same time, asking where it is.

Later, three of them have arrived Yugi's home, Kame game store. The door is opens, and there appears Mutou Sugoroku who thinks Yugi has already returned home. Nevertheless, he sees only Judai, Sho, and Kenzan. Hearing their voice, Sugoroku thinks that Yugi has come. Seeing Sugoroku, Kenzan and Sho realize that he is also one of the legends. Judai becomes more impressed since Domino City seems full of legendary things. Kenzan and Sho walk in, show Sugoroku their duel guide books, and confirm whehter he is Mutou Yugi's Sugoroku grandpa. When they know that he is the right one, Judai further asks whether Yugi isn't at home. Sugoroku tells him that Yugi has been travelling around. He also could feel some strange aura coming from Yugi. Anyway, Sugoroku turns to ask who Judai and his friends are. Judai introduces himself as a Duel Academy student, and they are now during the school trip. Sugoroku has heard of the rumor of Duel Academy before, so he welcomes all of them to go inside.

Inside Kame store, Kenzan and Sho look very impressed by many beautilfully rare cards in the window (Some of the them are Maximum Six, Barrel Dragon, Airknight Parshath, Marsh Malon Glasses, Curse of Anubis, two Devil King Dragon Vandaragon, Ghost Knight of Jackal, The Creator, and Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End). They make Sho understand quickly how much Sugoroku loves Duel Monster. Sugoroku thanks for his appreciation. He remembers that he was once surprised by when the images of those cards disappeared (episode 48 and episode 49: the images or the spirits of the cards disappeared because of the power of the legendary demons). Kenzan tells him that Judai was the one who solved the situation by his duel. Sho becomes annoyed because Kenzan didn't even see that duel by himself. Sugoroku looks surprised again by the fact that Judai was the one who saved the cards. Sho supports by saying that Judai is the number 1 duelist of Japan. Sugoroku thinks that he may be able to do something for him. Kenzan thinks of some special rare cards, but Sugoroku offers to tour them around the city.

Sugoroku brings them to the center of Domino City, the legendary start point of Battle City. Kenzan knows this place very well. It's where Yugi began to duel against a rare hunter. Then, Sugoroku leads them near the river where Yugi fought against Sky Dragon of Osiris. Judai really wants to see that duel. Sugoroku tells him that it's too fast to appreciate. There is still a place where Yugi battled. Judai becomes excited and would like to go the next one quickly. People haven't realized at all that the two shadows have been approaching closer to them.

Judai runs at the lead and rushes Sugoruku to go faster. By his age, Sugoruku feels very tired and stops running. He thinks that people are very active perhaps because they get the inspiration from Yugi. Then, a mysterious guy steps behind him. Sugoruku gets shocked by the thunder spark before falling down on the ground. Judai has just realized that Sugoruku has gone. Thus, he suggests Sho and Kenzan to find Sugoruku separately. Meanwhile, Mizuchi casts the ritual to create huge dark cloud surrounding Domino City. Judai doesn't understand what kind of this feeling is. The spirit of Winged Kuriboh appears as if it wants to tell him something. The spirit of N-Air Humingbird also appears and lets Judai take a look in the dark sky carefully. There are four Monarch monster spirits surrounding Domino City. Nobody knows what they are. N-Air Humingbird notes that someone has created a barrier around this city. If the thing that created it isn't cut out, the duel monster spirits can't get out off the city. Judai wonders who is doing this kind of thing.

Note: The four monsters are four Monarchs

On the other side, Sho and Kenzan have returned from their search and found no shadow of Sugoroku. Sho suggests Kenzan go to search on a way, and he will go to another way. Kenzan seems to get annoyed because of Sho's leading act, telling him to stop giving an order. Sho gets mad and claims his prior victory over Kenzan. Kenzan decides to tell the truth that the result of their previous duel was actually draw. He knew that it would have been bad if Sho had been defeated. If he had been serious, he wouldn't have been lost certainly. Sho apparently doesn't feel pleased with his words, challenging him find the true conclusion now. Kenzan agrees and begins to fight back. Then, they are interrupted by a black spike stabbing onto the ground. Sho takes it up and sees that it's Sugoroku's bandana folded with it. Manjyome then appears in front of them. He says that he has just found a group of two mysterious guys. They told him to tell Sho and Kenzan that if they wanted the owner of that thing back, they had to come to the top of the building. Manjyome points to the skycraper before leaving. Kenzan thinks that Sugoroku may be taken by someone. Sho tells Kenzan that the conclusion between them will come later. Now, he has to go and save Sugoroku. Sho starts running toward the building while Kenzan is coming after him.

Sho and Kenzan have come to the top of the skycraper, but they don't find Sugoroku. Seeing the ceneter is a panel glass platform, Kenzan recoginzes this place at once. It's where Kaiba Seto and Mutou Yugi had the tag duel together. They move onto the glass platform and see two duel disks. When Sho picks up a duel disk, he finds a bomb showing number 4000 representing LP. There is no doubt that they are in the same situation as Yugi's and Kaiba's duel. As they look amazed, two mysterious guys appear and tell him not to move carelessly because the glass platform may be broken. Sho and Kenzan wonder who they are. The two guys introduce themselves as Kourimaru, who is facing against Kenzan, and Ikazuchimaru, who is facing Sho. Sho doesn't care, but asks where Sugoroku grandpa is. Ikazuchimaru replies that Sugoroku isn't here. It seems he's thrown away at the garbage, but still safe. Kourimaru and Ikazuchimaru from Association of Light would take care of them well here. Kenzan and Sho realize that they are actually Saiou's people. Kourimaru and Ikazuchimaru want them to surrender to Association of Light. Sho asks what will happen if he refuses. Kourimaru and Ikazuchimaru certianly challenge them into the duel to draw the conclusion. Kenzan and Sho accept the challenge them firmly while preparing their duel disks. Then, the tag duel between Kenzan/Sho VS Kourimaru and Ikazuchimaru begins.

Side Attack
Magic Card

First turn comes to Kourimaru. Drawing a card, he once plays a permanent magic [Side Attack - Permanent Magic: This card can only be activated in a 2 on 2 tag duel. You are A1, your tag partner fights as A2. When this card is activated, choose 1 of the opposing players. The chosen player is B1 and their tag partner is B2. A1 is paired with B1, B1 is A1's attack target and cannot choose anyone else. A2 is paired with B2, B2 is A2's attack target and cannot choose anyone else. When a monster does not exist on B1's field, A1 can attack B2 directly. When a monster does not exist on B2's field, A2 can attack B1 directly]. It's a special card able to play only in a tag duel. The effect forces Kenzan to oppose only Kourimaru, and Sho to oppose only Ikazuchimaru. Also, if there is no monster on either of Sho and Kenzan, Kourimaru and Ikazuchimaru can attack another person directly. Sho realizes that this is an exclusive card for the tag duel. Anyway, Kenzan doesn't think this abnormal duel is fair at all.

Ice Knight
Monster Card

The first turn is still with Kourimaru. He summons [Ice Knight - 4/1300/1200: For each Water Sub-Type Monster on the Field, increase this Monster's attack strength by 400 points] onto the field in an attack position. The attack points of this monster can go up by 400 for each water monster on the field. Since Ice Knight is the only one water monster on the field, its attack points increase to 1700 (1300+400). Here is the end of his turn.

The second turn is with Kenzan. Drawing a card, he summons [Gilasaurus ~ Shunsoku no Gilasaurus - 3/1400/400: You can Normal Summon this card and treat it as a Special Summon. If you Special Summon this Monster by this effect, your opponent can Special Summon 1 Monster from their Cemetery] onto the field in an attack position. According to its special effect, this can be considered a special summon. Kenzan then sacrifices it to special summon [Dark Driceratops - 6/2400/1500: When this card attacks a Monster in defense mode with a lower defense strength than this Monster's attack strength, do Battle Damage to your opponent equal to the difference] onto the field in an attack position. Next, he plays the field magic [Jurassic World - Field Magic: Increase the attack strength and defense strength of all Dinosaur and Bird Sub-Type Monsters by 300. When a Dinosaur or Bird Sub-Type Monster battles, they will not be affected by the effects of Trap cards. When your opponent attacks a Dinosaur or Bird Sub-Type Monster you control in attack mode, the attacked Monster is switched to defense mode] from his hand. By this field magic, the attack points of Dark Driceratops go up by 300, ending with 2700 attack points (2400+300). Setting a reversed card, Kenzan ends his turn.

Thunder Knight
Monster Card

The third turn moves to Ikazuchimaru. He draws a card and summons [Thunder Knight - 4/1300/1200: For each Thunder Sub-Type Monster on the Field, increase this Monster's attack strength by 400 points] onto the field in an attack mode. Similar to Ice Knight, Thunder Knight can increase its attack points by 400 points for each thunder monster on the field. It's the only one thunder monster on the field, so its attack points move up to 1700 (1300+400). Setting up a face-down card, Ikazuchimaru ends his turn.

Truckroid
Monster Card

The last turn of the first round is with Sho. He draws a card and looks a little bit awkwardly. Then, he summons [Truckroid - 4/1000/2000: When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can treat the destroyed monster as an Equip Card and equip it to this card. This card gains ATK equal to the ATK of the equipped monster] onto the field in a defense position. Sho ends his turn here quickly.

Mobius the Frost Monarch
Monster Card

The first preparation round has finished. Kourimaru claims the real action from now on. The turn is back to Kourimaru. He draws a card and sacrifices Ice Knight to summon [Mobius the Frost Monarch ~ Hyoutei Mobius - 6/2400/1000: When this card is Tribute Summoned successfully, you can destroy up to 2 Spell or Trap Cards on the field] onto the field in an attack position. Due to its special effect, when is successfully sacrifice summoned, it can destroy two spell or trap cards on the field. Thus, the face-down card on Kenzan's field and the field magic, Jurassic World, are destroyed. Without Jurassic World, the attack points of Dark Driceratops go down to its 2400 original points. Kenzan claims that his Dark Driceratops still has the same attack points as Mobius the Frost Monarch's.

Mobius' Palace
Magic Card

Kourimaru doesn't think that the situation is gonna be that easy. He activatess another magic [Mobius' Palace ~ Mobius No Shiro - Permanent Magic: When a Mobius the Frost Monarch does not exists on your Field, this card is destroyed. Decrease the attack strength and defense strength of your opponent's Animal, Animal Warrior, Plant, and Dinosaur Monsters on the Field by 500 points] from his hand. This card can decrease the attack points of a dinosaur monster by 500 points. Thus, the attack points of Dark Driceratops further goes down to 1900 (2400-500). Kourimaru laughs and says that Kenzan's dinosaur isn't his Monarch's enemy. He then declares the attack of Mobius the Frost Monarch against Dark Driceratops. When Dark Driceratops is destroyed, Kenzan's LP decreases to 3500 (4000+1900-2400). Setting up two face-down cards, Kourimaru ends his turn.

It's now Kenzan's turn. He draws a card and gets Pot of Greed. Therefore, he plays it to draw additional two cards. After that, he plays the magic card [Earthquake - Magic: Change the mode of all face-up Monsters on the Field to defense mode] that can change all monsters on the field into a defense position. Sho's Truckroid has already been in a defense mode, so Mobius the Frost Monarch and Thunder Knight are turned into the defense position. After that, he summons [Archaeopteryx ~ Shisouchou Archaeopteryx - 3/300/1300: This Monster can attack the opposing player's Life Points directly] onto the field in an attack position, and plays the magic card [Ultra Evolution Pill - Revised Formul ~ Choushinkayaku Kai - Magic: Sacrifice 1 Bird Sub-Type Monster on your Field in order to Special Summon 1 Dinosaur Sub-Type Monster from your hand]. Due to the effect of this magic card, he can give a bird-type monster on the field, Archaeopteryx, as a tribute to special summon [Dark Tyranno - 7/2600/1800: If the only cards your opponent has in their Monster Card Zone are Monsters in defense mode, this card can attack your opponent directly] onto the field in an attack mode. Kourimaru doesn't that Kenzan's dinosaur can evolve on this field. Following the effect of Mobius' Palace, the attack points of Dark Tyranno go down to 2100 (2600-500). Kenzan claims that these attack points are enough to beat his Monarch.

Bit Shooter
Trap Card

Kenzan declares the attack of Dark Tyranno. At this moment, Kourimaru opens one of his reversed trap cards [Bit Shooter - Trap: Special Summon 1 Reflector Bit in your hand]. This card allows him to special summon [Reflector Bit - 1/0: {This card can be used in a 2 on 2 tag duel? This card can't be destroyed as a result of battle. If your opponent's monster attacks this card, the battle damage you would have recieve is instead recieved by your tag partner as effect damage. If this card's controller would recieve damage from an effect, that damage is reduced to 0 and 500 points of damage is dealt to the opponent.}] onto the field at this timing. Thus, Dark Tyranno has to turn to attack it first (Dark Tyranno's special effect allows it to attack the opponent directly since Mobius the Frost Monarch is in the defense position. Thus, when Reflector Bit is special summoned in an attack position, it becomes the first target of Dark Tyranno). Kourimaru explains that Reflector Bit can reflect his damages to his tag partner, Ikazuchimaru. While the attack is reflected to Ikazuchimaru, he suddenly opens his reversed trap card, which is the same Bit Shooter. Repeatedly, another Reflector Bit is special summoned onto his field. However, Ikazuchimaru activates another effect of Reflector Bit. He can reduce the damages toward him to 0, and deal 500 damage points directly to his target opponent, Sho. As a result, the attack of Dark Tyranno has been reflected around until it ends up with Sho. After Sho receives the direct damages, his LP reduces to 3500 (4000-500).

Zaborg the Thunder Monarch
Monster Card

Kourimaru explains that Reflector Bit is another exclusive card for a tag duel that can rebound all attacks. Anyway, Ikazuchimaru feels unpleased with the fact the Kourimaru tried to deal the damages toward him. Kourimaru explains that he hoped Ikazuchimaru could deal the damages to the opponent. Ikazuchimaru still doesn't feel satisfied, and keeps on his turn. He sacrifices Thunder Knight to summon [Zaborg the Thunder Monarch ~ Raitei Zaborg - 5/2400/1000: When this card is Tribute Summoned successfully, destroy 1 monster on the field] onto the field in an attack position. Due to its effect, when it's successfully sacrifice summoned, it can destroy a monster on Sho's field. Thus, Truckroid is destroyed. Without any protection, Sho is supposed to receive the direct strike from Zaborg the Thunder Monarch.

Revolving Stage
Trap Card

However, when Ikazuchimaru declares the attack of Zaborg the Thunder Monarch, Kourimaru claims to get this attack for his play. He suddenly opens his second reversed trap card [Revolving Stage ~ Kaiten Butai Revolving Stage - Trap: This card can only be activated if a Side Attack exists on the Field. When an opposing player recieves battle damage, you can redirect that damage to another opposing player]. This card can change the position of the opponents' tag partners. Thus, Kenzan is swiched to receive the direct attack of Zaborg the Thunder Monarch instead of Sho. His LP substantially decreases to 1100 (3500-2400).

Kourimaru feels sorry to Ikazuchimaru by using him for his play. Sho sees that although Kourimaru and Ikazuchimaru don't get along well and always have a quarrel, they are pretty strong. Ikazuchimaru asks whether Kourimaru has already forgetton Mizuchi's words to let them combine their power. Hearing the name Mizuchi, Sho and Kenzan wonder whether she is the real boss of them. Meanwhile, their positions are returned to their normal target opponents. Kourimaru might forget to tell them about this. He and Ikazuchimaru say that they have come to crush them following the order of Saiou Mizuchi-Sama. Sho and Kenzan become very surprised by the new name, Mizuchi. At the same time, Manjyome is going to see Mizuchi personally in the forest.

to be continued...

Judai Sho! Kenzan! This is strange! While I don't know where Sugoroku Grandpa has been, where have both of them gone?
Sho Big Brother, I am in the tag duel with Kenzan.
Judai What? What are those 4 monsters surrounding Domino City? Probably...!?
Sho I won't lose. Let's go Kenzan! Next, [Union Alliance! Rex Union!]
Judai Sho! Kenzan!
