|
Saiou
is looking at his Tarot cards to predict the current situations.
The top one is [Wheel of Fortune],
which represents unexpected events. There are 3 face-down
cards beneath it. The middle one is [The
Fool], which represents Judai who had the new journey
and obtained new Neos power. The right one is [The
Heirophant], which represents Edo who is walking
along with his own path. These cards represent what are
now happening according to Wheel of Fortune. Saiou looks
at the left card, wondering what this close by card refers
to. He opens it, and there appears [Strength] which represents power. Saiou is curious
whether the guy whom this card refers to is also influencing
his destiny. Thus, he becomes interested, moving to Dual
Academy by himself again.
Early in the morning at Duel Academy, Tome-San is waiting
to catch an egg from a school hen, finally getting the golden
egg for today pan (bread). Meanwhile, Sho is walking to
Osiris Red to wake Judai up. He sees Judai hurry to leave
his room. Sho asks what's happening. Judai tells him that
it's time to get Draw pan (turn back to see more details
about Draw Pan in episode
17). He hopes to get [golden
egg pan - Ougon No Tamagopan] before running far
away. Sho hurries to follow him behind.
In
Judai's room, Kenzan is still sleeping and snoring on the
third-floor bed, which belonged to Hayato's place before.
He is dreaming of Dark Driceratops and Dark Tyranno facing
against each other. Then, he falls down onto the floor.
After getting up, he looks amazed by the appearance of Saiou
in his room. Kenzan asks who he is. Saiou confirms whether
this is Yuki Judai's room. Kenzan looks mad, further asking
what business he has with his Big Brother. Saiou looks at
Kenzan and realizes that he is actually [Strength], the card of power that is against him.
Kenzan doesn't understand what Saiou is talking, asking
again who Saiou is. Saiou excuses him politely before introducing
himself properly as a manager of Edo Phoenix. He says his
name, Saiou Takuma, while showing Kenzan his name card.
Kenzan has realized that Saiou is whom Manjyome has been
talking about all the time. Saiou seems not to know that
Manjyome has been doing something like that. Kenzan blames
him for not only Manjyome. Asuka also acts strangely. Saiou
tells him that if people revere him, that's because of their
free will. He didn't do anything to them at all. Kenzan
certainly gets more mad, saying that he will dismantle Association
of Light and take their hands out off Duel Academy. His
spirit is so strong that it burns out as flame while his
eyes become dinosaur eyes. Saiou looks at his strong spirit
and wonders where Kenzan obtains that power from his body.
He thinks that this should be fun, so he offers Kenzan that
he will go and talk to Manjyome on one condition; Kenzan
has to duel against him. Kenzan wonders whether the victory
will be bet by the dismantling of Association of Light.
Saiou says that the issue belongs to Manjyome's free will.
He just wants to duel against him. Kenzan looks slightly
amazed by the response.
On
the other side, Sho and Juda are walking back with Tome-San,
carrying a ton of Draw Pan packs. Judai is very confident
that Golden Egg Pan must be in one of them as Sho doesn't
think that it's easy. Tome-San sees Judai look active and
optimistic as usual. Judai actually just feels hungry to
eat them all. Closer to Osiris Red, people notice Edo standing
in the front. Judai asks what he is doing here. Edo says
that he has just found someone as looking toward Osiris
Red. People follow his sight and see Kenzan standing against
an unknown guy. Judai wonders who the opponent is. Edo s
introduces him as Saiou Takuma, his manager and the leader
of Association of Light. In other words, he is the person
who changed Manjyome's personality by the duel. Judai thinks
that this should be a trouble. He hands over his Draw Pan
packs to Tome-San and runs into Kenzan. Sho also follows
him. Edo still wonders why Saiou has come here in person.
He says while opening a Draw Pan pack and eating it. Tome-San
blames that Edo shouldn't do this to Judai's pan. Unexpectedly,
Edo gets Golden Egg Pan that Judai really wants it. His
draw skill seems excellent as usual.
Kenzan and Saiou are preparing their duel disks. Kenzan
looks amazed when he sees Saiou look awkwardly. Saiou excuses
him because he isn't got used to using his duel disk. Thus,
Kenzan has to tell him how to start the duel disk machine.
Saiou says that he has just used this machine for the first
time, so it should be fun. Kenzan wonders whether Kenzan
is joking him. When both of them are ready, they declare
to start the duel.
First turn comes to Kenzan. Drawing a card, he summons
[Giant Rex - 4/2000/1200: This monster
can only be summoned when there is a face card in an opponent's
Field] onto the field in an attack positioin. Saiou
becomes amazed by the quick appearance of the great monster
with 2000 attack points. Kenzan ends his turn here. Then,
Judai and Sho run in. Judai tells Kenzan to be more careful
because they don't know what Saiou is planning to do. Kenzan
claims that he has already known that. Saiou looks back
and see Edo, hoping him to observe this game carefully.
|
Arcana Force
I_The Magician
Monster Card |
Next turn comes to Saiou. He draws a card and gets Reversing
Destiny. He keeps it onto his hand and summons [Arcana
Force I_The Magician - 4/1100/1100: Toss 1 coin when this
Monster is Summoned. Depending on whether the toss is heads
or tails, you aquire one of the following effects. 1) Heads:
In the turn a Magic card is played, double this cards' original
attack strength until the end of the turn. 2) Tails: Your opponent gains 500 Life Points each time a Spell Card is activated] onto
the field in an attack position. Once this monster is summoned
onto the field, the card appears above and turns clockwise.
Kenzan wonders what it is. Saiou explains that it's the
thing to determine a destiny. He tells Kenzan to stop it
to define different effects for either upright or reversed
positions. Kenzan yells out to stop the movement of the
card firmly, and the card stops at the upright position.
Saiou explains the upright effect of this monster that if
a magic card is played in the turn, the attack points of
this monster double. Its effect doesn't sound good. Kenzan
thinks that he's just got the bad luck. Saiou points out
that the whole destiny is generally predetermined, giving
the examples of the extinction of Kenzan's lovely dinosaurs.
Kenzan suddenly gets angry and argues that the dinosaurs
haven't been extincted yet. However, they are still living
in his body.
|
Vision of
Future World
Magic Card |
Saiou thinks how romance he is, going to show the destiny
of Kenzan who is represented by [Strength]. Kenzan begins to be confused by his
words. Saiou then plays a magic card [Vision
of a Future World ~ Raise No Vision - Magic; You can only
activate this card when your opponent has a face-up Monster
on their Field. Turn over cards from your opponent's deck
until you find a Monster card. If the Monster you've found
is the same Sub-Type as a Monster on the Field, increase
your opponent's Life Points by 1000 and return those cards
in the same order on the top of your opponent's deck]
from his hand. According to its effect, Saiou can turn over
Kenzan's deck until he finds a monster card. He walks in
and wonders what kind of Kenzan's future destiny will be.
Kenzan gives him his deck as saying firmly that his future
must be Dinosaur. Saiou receives Kenzan's deck and begins
to draw it. The first one is a magic card, Ultra
Evolution Pill - Revised Formula, and Saiou catches a monster,
Ultimate Tyranno, on the second one. Saiou agrees to Kenzan's
Dinosaur destiny before explaining the remaining effect
of his magic card. If the monster he drew has the same sub-type
as the monster on Kenzan's field, Kenzan's LP can increase
by 1000. Saiou also has to return the drawn cards in order
to Kenzan's deck. Ultimate Tyranno is the same Dinosaur
type as Giant Rex on the field, so Kenzan's LP increases
to 5000 (4000+1000).
Kenzan feels sorry to Saiou for giving
him LP while Saiou returns to his position. Judai and Sho
both wonder why Saiou gave Kenzan LP as a free present.
Edo explains that Saiou actually aims to predict the future
cards of Kenzan and the special effect of Upright position
of Arcana Force I_The Magician. When the magic card,
Vision of Future World, is played in this turn,
Arcana Force I_The Magician's attack ponits can double.
As a result, its total attack points become 2200 (1100*2).
Saiou declares the attack of Arcana
Force I_The Magician, Arcana Magic, against Giant Rex quickly.
After Giant Rex is destroyed, Kenzan's LP reduces to 4800
(5000+2000-2200). At Saiou's ending phase,
Arcana Force I_The Magician's attack points return
to its original 1100 points. Setting up 2 reversed cards,
Saiou ends his turn.
In Kenzan's turn, drawing a card (It must be Ultra Evolution
Pill - Revised Formula because it has just been shown previously
due to the effect of Vision of a Future World), he summons
[Archaeopteryx ~ Shisouchou Archaeopteryx
- 3/300/1300: This Monster can attack the opposing player's
Life Points directly] in an attack mode. He then
play the magic card [Ultra Evolution
Pill Revised Formula ~ Choushinkayaku Kai - Magic: Sacrifice
1 Bird Sub-Type Monster on your Field in order to Special
Summon 1 Dinosaur Sub-Type Monster from your hand].
At this moment when Kenzan plays the magic card, Saiou activates
the special Upright-position effect of Arcana Force I_The
Magician. Again, its attack points go up to 2200 (1100*2).
Kenzan continues the effect of Ultra Evolution Pill - Revised
Formula. Sacrificing a bird-type monster on the field, Archaeopteryx,
he can special summon [Dark Tyranno
- 7/2600/1800: If the only cards your opponent has in their
Monster Card Zone are Monsters in defense mode, this card
can attack your opponent directly] from his hand
onto the field in an attack position.
Kenzan laughs and says that although the attack points
of Arcana Force I_The Magician can double, they still can't
reach Dark Tyranno's. He then lets it attack Arcana Force
I_The Magician. Arcana Force I_The Magician is destroyed,
so Saiou's LP decreases to 3600 (4000+2200-2600). Kenzan
tells Saiou that his destiny has already been changed by
Judai. Judai is the one who woke up dinosaur power inside
him. Thus, Kenzan believes that he isn't influenced by any
threat.
|
Pentacle
of Ace
Magic Card |
Turn comes to Saiou. He draws a card, and plays a magic
card [Pentacle of Ace - Magic: Toss
1 coin when this Monster is Summoned. Depending on whether
the toss is heads or tails, you aquire one of the following
effects. 1) Heads: Draw 1 card from your deck and increase
your Life Points by 500. 2) Tails: Your opponent draws 1
card from their deck and increase their Life Points by 500].
Repeatedly, the card appears above and turns clockwise.
Kenzan yells out to stop it and to determine the position
effect. Pentacle of Ace stops at the Upright position. Due
to its Upright effect, Saiou can draw a card and increase
his LP by 500. Therefore, his LP goes up to 4100 (3600+500).
Saiou is going to show Kenzan that the destiny can lead
a person.
|
Arcana Force
XII_The Chariot
Monster Card |
He then summons [Arcana Force XII_The
Chariot - 4/1700/1700: Toss 1 coin when this Monster is
Summoned. Depending on whether the toss is heads or tails,
you aquire one of the following effects. 1) Heads: When
an opponent's Monster is destroyed as a result of battle,
you can Special Summon that Monster to your Field. 2) Tails:
When this card is destroyed as a result of battle, this
card is Special Summoned to your opponent's Field]
onto the field in an attack position. The card again appears
above and turns clockwise. Kenzan looks annoyed and yells
out to stop it. Arcana Force XII_The Chariot stops in a
Reversed position. According to its Reversed-position effect,
if it's destroyed in battle, it will be resummoned onto
Kenzan's field. Kenzan certainly smiles. It seems that he
has got the good pick again. Saiou then declares the attack
of Arcana Force XII_The Chariot against Dark Tyranno. People
absolutely don't understand what Saiou is doing. Arcana
Force XII_The Chariot obviously has fewer attack points
than Dark Tyranno's. If it's destroyed in battle, it will
reappear on Kenzan's field due to the reversed-position
effect. Edo notes that Saiou can see through the whole destiny.
His power is a real thing. Judai and Sho apparently look
amazed by his unbelievable ability. |

- second period
episode 73 summarized by Janime |
|
Arcana Force XII_The Chariot begins to attack Dark Tyranno,
and Kenzan lets his monster counter the strike. Arcana Force
XII_The Chariot is certainly destroyed as Saiou's LP decreases
to 3200 (4100+1700-2600). Due to the Reversed-position effect
of Arcana Force XII_The Chariot, it's resummoned onto Kenzan's
field. Then, the card appears above and turns clockwise.
At this time, Saiou will be the one to stop and determine
its position. Once he makes it stop, Arcana Force XII_The
Chariot appears again in the Reversed position. Kenzan thinks
that Saiou has such a bad luck on his many tries. Saiou
smirks because everything seems to follow his destiny, but
Kenzan hasn't realized it yet.
After that, Saiou plays a magic card [Suit
of Sword X - Magic: Toss 1 coin when this Monster is Summoned.
Depending on whether the toss is heads or tails, you aquire
one of the following effects. 1) Heads: Destroy all Monsters
on the opponent's Field. 2) Tails: Destroy all Monsters
on your Field] from his hand (This is the same magic
card Saiou played with Manjyome in episode
61). The card appears and turns clockwise. Before
Kenzan is going to make it stop as usual, Saiou interrupts
him. He especially intends to explain the effects of this
card. With the Upright-position effect, all Kenzan's monsters
will be destroyed; however, with the Reversed-position effect,
all Saiou's monsters will be destroyed. Kenzan realizes
that the Upright-position is actually bad for him. Once
he yells to stop it, the position appears Upright. Unfortunately,
Arcana Force XII_The Chariot and Dark Tyranno both have
to be wiped out from his field.
Furthermore, Saiou opens his reversed trap card [Ace
of Wand - Trap: Toss 1 coin when this Monster is Summoned.
Depending on whether the toss is heads or tails, you aquire
one of the following effects. 1) Heads: When a Monster is
destroyed by an effect other than a result of battle, that
Monster's controller regains Life Points equal to that Monster's
attack strength. 2) Tails: When a Monster is destroyed by
an effect other than a result of battle, that Monster's
controller recieves damage equal to that Monster's attack
strength]. The card is opened and turns clockwise.
Saiou explains that if it stops at the Upright position,
Kenzan can gain LP equal to the total attack points of the
monsters destroyed due to an effect. Neverntheless, if it
stops at the Reversed position, Kenzan instead has to take
them as damages. Judai begins to count the total points
that will be attached. They should be 4300 (1700+2600: attack
points of Arcana Force XII_The Chariot and Dark Tyranno).
Judai seems not to get the results from his calculation,
just saying that they should be pretty much. Sho realizes
that Judai actually doesn't understand anything. Edo is
concerned by that Kenzan may not be able to escape from
the destiny whose the affect of the card has already been
revealed.
Kenzan gets more nervous, and Saiou asks what Kenzan is
gonna do. The one who will determine this destiny is Kenzan
himself. Kenzan yells out to stop it, and there appears
Reversed position. As a result, Saiou claims that Kenzan
has to take 4300 damages. Kenzan's LP reduces significantly
to 500 (4800-4300). Then, Saiou ends his turn. Kenzan looks
obviously tired, thinking that Saiou is too strong to beat.
Despite the fact that he doesn't believe in any destiny,
he can't oppose it. Seeing Kenzan losing his fighting spirit,
Judai yells out to wake him up. Kenzan is just depressed
by non-existing Wheel of Fortune of Saiou. A duel is fun
because nobody knows what is going on until the end. Judai
believes that Kenzan can evolve during the game. Thus, Kenzan
should hold courage to oppose against any destiny. Hearing
what Judai said, Kenzan gains back his spirit and returns
to pay attention to the game.
Turn now comes to Kenzan. He draws a card, and it is certainly
Ultimate Tyranno (It must be Ultimate Tyranno because it
was shown previously due to the effect of Vision of a Future
World). Kenzan turns back to be active and claims the DNA
Dinosaur in his body. His his eyes turn to Dinosaur eyes
to express the real Dinosaur power in his body. Saiou looks
slightly surprised by this strength. Kenzan then summons
[Dino Base - 4/0/2300: If this card
is on the Field, you can sacrifice 1 Dinosaur Sub-Type Monster
from your hand or Field. You can then Special Summon 1 Dyna
Tank from your Fusion Deck] onto the field in an
attack position. Due to its effect, he sacrifice Ultimate
Tyranno on his hand with Dino Base on the field to special
summon [Dino Tank - 7/?/?: This card's
attack strength is equal to the Dinosaur Sub-Type Monster
used to sacrifice to Summon this card from your Fusion Deck.
If this card is the target of a Magic, Trap, or Monster
effect, shift that effect to target 1 of your opponent's
Monsters] onto the field in an attack mode. The attack
points of this monster is equal to Strength points of the
sacrificed monster, Ultimate Tyranno. As a result, Dino
Tank has total attack points of 3000 (Ultimate Tyranno's
attack points). Kenzan declares its stike against Saiou
directly, so Saiou's LP dramatically reduces to 200 (3200-3000).
He smirks before ending his turn here. Judai and Sho clap
their hands together that Kenzan finally did it. Only Edo
still looks worried.
|
Necro Sacrifice
Magic Card |
The turn moves to Saiou. He draws a card and plays a magic
card [Necro Sacrifice - Magic; Choose
1 or 2 Monsters from your Cemetery and Special Summon them
on your opponent's Field. Your opponent decides on what
their modes will be. Equal to the number of Monsters Special
Summoned, you can Summon with that Sacrifice cost fufilled
already]. Due to its effect, Saiou can choose to
summon a monster from his cemetery, Arcana Force XII_The
Chariot onto Kenzan's field. Kenzan will be able to choose
its mode, so he selects the attack position. Once, Arcana
Force XII_The Chariot is resummoned onto Kenzan's field,
its card again appears above and turns clockwise. Saiou
makes it stop, and it appears Reversed position. He explains
that if this card is destroyed in battle, it will be resummoned
onto the opponent's field (Saiou's field). Kenzan claims
that he has already understood everything Saiou wanted to
say.
|
Arcana Force VIII_Strength
Monster Card |
After that, Saiou normal summons [Arcana Force VIII_Strength 5/1800/1800: Toss 1 coin when this
Monster is Summoned. Depending on whether the toss is heads
or tails, you aquire one of the following effects. 1) Heads:
Gain control of 1 Monster on your opponent's Field. 2) Tails:
Your opponent gains control of all Monsters on your Field
except for this one] onto the field in an attack
position. The card appears above and turns clockwise as
other cards do. Saiou explains that if it stops at the Upright
position, he can gain control one of Kenzan's monster. Nevertheless,
if it stops at the Reversed position, Kenzan can gain control
all of his monsters except for this monster. When Kenzan
stops it, there appears Upright. Thus, due to the Upright-position
effect, Saiou intends to take control of Dino Tank. Meanwhile,
Kenzan claims the special effect of Dino Tank. If it becomes
a target of an effect, the effect is switched to one of
Saiou's monsters. Saiou has only one monster on his field;
herefore, Arcana Force VIII_Strength turns to be on
Kenzan's side. Kenzan thanks Saiou for giving him more monster.
Saiou thinks that it may be too fast to say that, saying
that only one card can completely the duel into a bad direction.
Kenzan looks surprised since he doesn't seem aware of Saiou's
reversed card.
|
Reversing
Destiny
Trap Card |
Now, Saiou opens his last reversed trap card [Reversing
Destiny ~ Gyakutan Suru Unmei - Trap: All Monsters on the
Field with Arcana Force in their names with their effects
as heads and tails are switched] (The first card
he drew at the beginning of the game). According to its
effect, the (destiny) positions of all Arcana monsters on
the field are switched. Thus, Arcana Force XII_The Chariot
that is in the Reversed position turns into the Upright
position while Arcana Force VIII_Strength that is in the
Upright position turns into the Reversed position. Saiou
claims the Reversed-position effect of Arcana Force VIII_Strength.
It allows Saiou to gain control all Kenzan's monsters except
for this one. As a result, Arcana Force XII_The Chariot
and Dino Tank are switched to Saiou's field. Saiou immediately
declares the battle. Dino Tank destroys Arcana Force VIII_Strength.
Kenzan's LP reduces to 0 (500+1800-3000) while he is falling
onto the ground (It seems that he's attacked by his own
Dinosaur, Dino Tank, and the card that represents him, Arcana
Force VIII_Strength, is beaten up).
Saiou walks in and says that this is actually Kenzan's
destiny. He had better think of a new destiny. The road
of the light in front of him has already been opened. It
will be such a beautifully white road. Saiou apparently
tries to take him into Association of Light. Sho certainly
gets mad while Judai tells Saiou to step away from Kenzan.
Saiou turns back to them. His purple eyes begin to glow
and stop their movement. Kenzan is trying to get up, saying
that Saiou is pretty strong and wonderful. Judai and Sho
think that Kenzan has already been drawn into Association
of Light. Sho tries to stop him not to go. Anyway, Kenzan
finally gets up and says that he won't be defeated again
in the next duel. Saiou looks very shocked. Despite having
showered by the baptism of light, Kenzan hasn't changed
yet. Judai and Sho feel much relieved. Kenzan asks whether
Saiou thinks that he is a soft human. He tells him to look
at the scar on his left leg, showing it up. Previously,
we went to excavate dinosaur fossil and experienced an accident.
The rock fell down, and his left leg bone was broken. The
dinosaur fossil was imbedded into body as a spart part,
and dinosaur DNA was blended into him. After that, he became
such a strong kid who was never defeated. Judai is the one
who woke up his power. Kenzan says while his eyes turn to
dinosaur eyes again. Judai tries to say that Kenzan has
become something like this because of this reason. Anyway,
Sho can catch that Judai actually doesn't understand anything
at all.
"
Previously, when I was excavating dinosaur fossil,
my leg bone was injuried by the accidence, the falling
rocks. At that time, the dinosaur fossil was imbedded
into the place of the insufficient bones. At that
time, Dinosaur DNA blended to me, and I became a strong
kid who was never defeated."
|
Saiou
doesn't say anything, but walk away quietly. He has already
realized that Kenzan's strength comes from Judai. Judai
and Sho run in as Kenzan feels sorry to make them worried.
Kenzan asks whether Sho was previously crying for him. Sho
absolutely refuses that he did. Edo looks Saiou walking
pass, and they don't say any word together. In the classroom,
Professor Chronos officially a new student. Judai, Kenzan,
and Sho certainly look surprised when Professor Chronos
introduces a new transferred third-grade student, Saiou
Takuma. Judai looks very anxious and doesn't understand
what Saiou is planning to do here.
to be continued...

[Strength]
Tarot Card | Major Arcana
Upright Meaning | Strength, courage, conviction,
energy, defiance, action, confidence, zeal, matter over
mind or mind over matter, accomplishment. Negative interpretations
include weakness, pettiness, impotence, sickness, lack of
faith, abuse of power, succumbing to temptation, or indifference.
This card should be easy to guess. According to its position,
it refers to Kenzan, the third unexpected events besides
Judai's and Edo's. Kenzan represents a threatening powerful
man toward Saiou because he is a potential ally of Judai.
This episode reveals where he obtains such a strength (Dinosaur
DNA in his body). Also, Saiou understood that power was
his main way of winning in every duel. Consider the duels
with Judai, Kabayama, and Sho. Thus, in Saiou's duel with
him, he used Strength card to beat him by letting him
have all of the attack points (when Strength card transferred
sides). Then, by using Reversing Destiny, he took Kenzan's
best card and beat him with his own strength.
