During
an evening at Duel Academy area, Pharaoh is yarning, releasing
a light ball, which is supposed to be the spirit of Daitokuji,
from its mouth. It tries to catch it and finally eat it
back. In the middle of the area is the stage with Judai
and Misawa on duel. Misawa has Water Dragon on his field
while Judai has E-Hero Sparkman and E-Hero Flame Wingman
on his field. It's now Judai's turn. He plays Polymerization
to fuse both of them into [E-Hero
Shining Flare Wingman - 85/2500/2100: Increase this Monster's
attack strength by 300 for each Monster with HERO in their
name in your Cemetery. If this Monster destroys a Monster
as a result of battle, do damage to your opponent equal
to the attack strength of that Monster]. He declares
its attack, Shining Shoot, against Water Dragon immediately,
and this is the end of the game. Judai points to Misawa
and claims his victory as usual. Misawa feels that Judai's
skill has been improved since his duel against Kaiser. Judai
smiles and wonders whether Misawa thinks so. In that case,
Misawa suggests Judai improve his deck as well. However,
Judai thinks that a new battle stage is coming with new
students, so this deck is still neccessary for it. Then,
he takes out a magazine with Kaiser picture promoted in
Pro League, saying that Kaiser is also trying his best as
well. Meanwhile, Sho is rushing in with trouble and calling
for Judai. Misawa asks whether there is something wrong.
Sho asks why Misawa is here. Misawa gets annoyed by that
Sho hasn't noticed his existance at all. Sho then turns
back to the point and says that the next opponent of his
dear brother has already been determined. Judai looks very
excited by Kaiser's rival as well. However, Sho's face looks
very worried while going to express the opponent's name.
People
gather up at the new living room of Osiris Red dorm at night,
looking on screen that promotes the duel between Kaiser
Ryo and Edo Phoenix. Manjyome says that the result may have
already been decided if the rival is this guy. He thinks
that the pro who couldn't beat Judai can't beat Kaiser,
either. Sho agrees and turns to see Judai's response. Nevertheless,
Judai reminds himself of his previous duel against Edo Phoenix.
At that time, Edo just used the rough deck created quickly
by 8 packs bought at the school store. Sho reasks Judai
for his opinion on his brother's victory. Judai then gets
back and replies that he also agrees with people. Anyway,
Misawa points out that Edo Phoenix is going to play his
real deck in this duel. Judai looks worried a bit and becomes
curious what kind of his deck will be.
At the the principle room, Vice Principal
Napoleon, who still wants to get rid of Osiris Red,
is asking someone in his call that he would like Edo Phoenix
to come to do this job. Professor Chronos thinks that there
is no need to be hurried although he honestly feels ashamed
by asking the others to do this. It seems that Edo Phoenix
looks too busy to come. His coming schedule may be 3 years
from now on. Professor Chronos thinks that 3 years may be
good enough. Vice Principal Napoleon
argues that if they wait for three years, people may have
already graduated. Professor Chronos looks nervous by this
unsolvable problem.
In a city at night, Kaiser is leaving a restaurant with
a man in a suit, who seems to be his sponsor in the league.
He is looking forward to seeing Kaiser's active and great
play in the game while shaking his hand with him. Kaiser
hopes to do his best to respond to that expection as well.
The sponsor offers Kaiser a ride, but Kaiser refuses. He
sees that the moon is beautiful, so he would like to walk
back alone. The sponsor gets on his car, showing Kaiser
a magazine with a monster shadow picture that is the currently
popolar news. He doesn't know whether this involves Kaiser.
Kaiser seems not to know anything, returning it back. Then,
The sponsor and his car leave the place.
Kaiser
is walking back along the streets surrounding with the promotion
posters of his duel against Edo Phoenix. He is thinking
what kind of deck his opponent is gonna play. Suddenly,
he hears the scream of a guy coming from a small street.
Kaiser hurries to see what's going on. There is a man attacked
by a mysterious guy standing beside him. The mysterious
guy throws many cards on the man and says that his destiny
has already been determined. It is certainly Edo't voice.
Then, Kaiser is running in while the mysterious guy is leaving.
He holds the man up and asks how he is. The man says that
the mysterious guy is really a monster or crazy guy before
losing his consciousness. Kaiser turns his face up and notices
the shadow of the same monster that he saw previously in
the magazine. There's no doubt that it's the monster attacking
people around in the current news. After that, many polices
have arrived, asking whether Kaiser is safe. A police looks
at the man on the ground and sees that this man is actually
a card burglar. Kaiser seemingly looks very amazed by the
current situation.
At a bright hall, Saiou and Edo are having a conversation.
Saiou asks when Edo will stop playing around like that.
Apparently, he is the one in the news with the shadow monster,
which is supposed to be Phoenix Guy, that beats many card
criminals around the city. For Edo, he doesn't do this for
fun. Saiou reminds him that the guy whom Edo is looking
for isn't among those scoundrels he has beaten up anyway.
He says while picking a tarot card to determine Edo's destiny.
Edo thinks it's unneccessary since that card must be [The
Chariot] with the side-up position, which means
the great success. Saiou is wondering whether Edo can has
the ability to predict the future as he has. Edo replies
that he doesn't have, but that success card always comes
out every time when he is gonna duel. Last time, he was
defeated by Judai on purpose due to the order Saiou. That
explains why The Chariot previously appeared in the inverse
position, which means the defeat or failure. Saiou mentions
that Judai is essential for Edo to make him grow up. However,
Edo still looks down Judai. He thinks Saiou is wasting his
time by sending him to Duel Academy. His main goal is the
battle in Pro League and to become the top of this world
to find someone. Saiou insists that his prediction has never
been wrong. That means he feels that Judai has something
valuable to Edo. Edo seems annoyed. He declares that he
will draw the conclusion of Saiou's issue after his duel
against Kaiser. In other words, he will show whether Judai
is really worth that much.
Saiou |
Anyway,
when will you stop playing around like that? |
Edo |
For
me, it isn't for fun. |
Saiou |
The
person whom you are looking for isn't among those
loitering scoundrels. Ma~ in order to hold your overflowing
anger, that may be considered the neccessary ceremony.
I see it...your future! The duel between you and Kaiser
Ryo is... |
Edo |
It
will end with my victory. The (tarot) card that appears
is [The Chariot] that
means the complete victory. |
Saiou |
Ho~
You also have the ability to see the future like me,
don't you? |
Edo |
No,
Saiou! When you predict the future for me, any card
rather than that card has never come out. The duel against
Yuki Judai should have been my true victory. However,
you ordered me to be defeated. |
Saiou |
The
relation with Yuki Judai will bring the new growth to
you. |
Edo |
That
average level of duelist? Certainly, your prediction
always shows me the shortest road to become the strongest
duelist. However, it wastes my time to go to that school.
My goal is to battle in Pro League and to stand on the
top of the world...also definitely to find that person.
|
Saiou |
Edo!
My prediction has never been wrong. |
Edo |
That's fine. After opposing against Kaiser,
I will make the conclusion on your problem. |
The Pro League night has finally come. Many audiences gather
up in the duel area, which seems to be Kaiba Dome in Kaiba
Land in USA (KC
Grand Prix series). TV is broadcasting this league
while everybody at Duel Academy are also gathering in a
room and watching the duel together on the big screen. At
Kaiba Dome, people are entering the arena and enjoying shopping
the promo stuffs of this duel. The audiences inside the
area are cheering around. The some smoke and light come
out with the first appearance of Kaiser. Many girls feel
very attracted by him, cheering him out loud. Seeing through
TV, Manjyome feels so jealous. He thinks that Kaiser is
always popular everywhere. Meanwhile, Edo appears on the
other side by the same pattern. He seems to have hugh girl
fan club as well. Kenzan thinks Edo is also famous among
ladies. Manjyome even looks mad.
The
reporter starts introducing both players. He introduces
Kaiser as a new hero player who hasn't been defeated for
ten games (The reporter speaks the same words used in calling
a Japanese hero baseball pitcher. It's difficult to win
10 games in a row for the baseball pitcher. Thus, this means
Kaiser is such a great player with high expectation). On
the other side, Edo Phoenix is introduced as a young nobleman
of Pro League with 30-game undefeatable records. It's very
interesting to see what kind of duels they are gonna show.
Kaiser starts greeting Edo Phoenix. He knows that Edo has
already been approved by Duel Academy, so he asks for how
long Edo intends to fight like this. Anyway, Edo seem neither
listening nor answering the question. He just says, "Please
not be hard on me, Sempai" (Sempai ~ Senior).
His act seems to provoke Kaiser and make him get mad. Kaiser
no longer talks, declaring the duel immediately.
First turn comes to Edo. Once he draws a card, Judai becomes
very curious what kind of deck he is gonna play. Then, Edo
declares the monster that he is going to summon, showing
the E-Hero Featherman. All people are certainly getting
shocked. Kaiser is even amazed, asking whether Edo's deck
is really what he is thinking. Edo expresses that his deck
is the same E-Hero deck as Yuki Judai's. Judai seems to
be surprised a lot as well. Edo summons [E-Hero
Featherman - 3/1000/1000] in an attack position,
setting two face-down cards on the field and ending his
turn. Kaiser smiles and keeps on thinking. Sho tells people
that his brother seemingly looks glad. Misawa says that
Kaiser, of course, should be because he has once dueled
against Judai's Hero deck before. On the top of that, Asuka
adds that Kaiser should gain advantage in this game.
Turn comes to Kaiser. He draws a card and special summons
[Cyber Dragon - 5/2100/1600: If you
have no other Monsters on the Field and your opponent does,,
you can Normal Summon this Monster from your hand without
sacrifices] in an attack mode. Due to its special
effect, Kaiser explains that when he has no monster on the
field, he he can special summon it without tributes. He
once declares the attack of Cyber Dragon, Evolution Burst,
against E-Hero Featherman. At this moment, Edo opens one
of his face-down trap cards, [Draining
Shield - Trap: Activate when your opponent attacks. Negate
the attack and gain Life Points equal to the attacking Monsters
attack strength]. Edo explains that this card will
negate the attack of the opponent's monster and increase
his LP equal to the strength points of that monster. Kaiser
doesn't give up easily, playing Trap Booster from his hand
[Trap Booster - Magic: Send 1 card
from your hand to the Cemetery. Activate 1 Trap card from
your hand]. Discarding a card, Photon Generator Unit,
into his graveyard, he can activate Trap Jammer from his
hand [Trap Jammer - Counter Trap:
You can only activate this card when your opponent activates
a trap card during the battle phase. Negate the activation
of the trap card and destroy it]. This card can negate
and destroy the activation of Edo's Draining Shield.
Edo tells him that he would like to return it to Kaiser
as well. Then, he opens the second face-down trap card,
which is also Trap Jammer. Edo plays it to destroy Tram
Jammer of Kaiser. Thus, the effect of Draining Shield is
valid. Cyber Dragon's attack becomes invalid while Edo's
LP increases to 6100 (4000+2100).
People are very excited by this game. Both of them are
very doing well and aren't taking it easy from the beginning.
However, Judai feels worried, thinking that the real battle
will start from now on. |

E-Hero Phoenix
Guy
Monster Card |
At Kaiba Dome, the Pro League battle between Kaiser and
Edo becomes heater up. Ladies fans are meanwhile very attracted
by their idols. It's now Edo's turn. Drawing a card, he
plays Pot of Greed to draw additional two cards. After that,
he plays Polymerization to fuse E-Hero Featherman on the
field with E-Hero Burst Lady on his hand into [E-Hero
Phoenix Guy - 6/2100/1200: This Monster cannot be destroyed
as a result of battle]. Sho looks very amazed by
this new monster, claiming that E-Hero Flame Wingman would
be supposed to appear by this fusion. Manjyome says that
it isn't always necessary. Sho still looks confused and
needs more clarification. Misawa explains that E-Hero has
some speciality to have a different monster from the same
fused monsters. Asuka furthers explains that in case of
the fusion of E-Hero Burst Lady and E-Hero Featherman, the
player can choose to summon either E-Hero Phoenix Guy or
E-Hero Flame Wingman with different special abilities. However,
their attack and defense points are the same. Judai calls
out suddently "Is that so?"
as if he has never known this before. His friends mostly
fall down and are tired of his innocent. Manjyome asks,
"You also play Hero deck and
you don't know?". Judai merely smiles and says
"Ah, I got it. Although it's
also Hero deck, he just puts the different monsters from
mine". Manjyome then seems to become more tired
of him.
The duel is still running. Edo calls Kaiser "Sempai",
saying that he is gonna move now. He declares the attack
of E-Hero Phoenix Guy, Phoenix Shoot, against Cyber Dragon
quickly. Two monsters have the same attack strengths; however,
Misawa sees something different. Cyber is destroyed while
E-Hero Phoenix Guy is safe. Edo feels sorry to Kaiser, claiming
that although both monsters have the same attack points,
E-Hero Phoenix Guy has the ability that can't be destroyed
in battle. Setting a face-down card, Edo ends his turn.
In Kaiser's turn, he draws a card and gets Pot of Greed.
Drawing additional two cards, he plays the magic card, Power
Bond, from his hand [Power Bond -
Magic: This card is treated as a Fusion Magic card, and
only works for Machine Monsters. A Monster Fusion Summoned
by this card has its attack strength doubled. At the End
Phase of the activated turn, do damage to your Life Points
equal to the original attack strength of the Monster].
Most people especially Sho are glad to see that Kaiser's
S-card has finally been played. Sending two Cyber Dragon
form his hand into the cemetery, he can summon a machine
monster can be special summoned onto the field. Kaiser goes
on this process to call out [Cyber
Twin Dragon - 8/2800/2100: This Monster can attack twice
in the same Battle Phase]. Due to another effect
of Power Bond, Cyber Twin Dragon's attack points are doubled
to 5600 (2800*2). Kaiser declares the attack of it, Evolution
Twin Burst, against E-Hero Phoenix Guy at once. Although
E-Hero Phoenix isn't destroyed in battle, Edo has to receive
the damages normally. Therefore, his LP reduces significantly
to 2600 (6100+2100-5600). Kaiser claims that the attack
of Cyber Twin Dragon hasn't finished yet. Its special effect
allows it to do another attack in this turn. Manjyome sees
that if this second attack succeeds, Kaiser will be come
the winner.
|
Elemental
Charage
Trap Card |
Cyber Twin Dragon does the second attack, creating big
explosion and smoke. The reporter is wondering whether this
will be the end of the game. Anyway, when the smokes faints,
there appear Edo standing with 100 LP left and his E-Hero
Phoenix Guy not destroyed in battle. People are all amazed
why and how Edo could survive. Edo explains that before
Kaiser's attack, he had activated his reversed trap card
[Elemental Charge - Trap: For each
E-HERO Monster on your side of the Field, increase your
Life Points by 1000]. This card saved Edo by increasing
his LP by 1000 points. As a result, his LP becomes 100 (2600+2100+1000-5600).
Edo then claims the risk of Power Bond that Kaiser has to
take at the end of turn. Kaiser has to get the direct damages
equal to the original attack points of Cyber Twin Dragon
(2800), so his LP decreases to 1200 (4000-2800).
It's now Edo's turn. Drawing a card, he summons E-Hero
Sparkman in an attack position [E-Hero
Sparkman -4/1600/1400]. He equips it with [Spark
Blaster ~ Spark Gun - Equipment Magic: This card can only
be equipped to an Elemental Hero - Sparkman. You can change
the mode of 1 Monster on the Field. This effect can be used
more than once, but if used 3 times, destroy this card].
Then, he plays another magic card [Guard
Penalty - Instant Magic: In this turn, When an opposing
Monster goes into defense mode, draw 1 card from your deck].
This card allows him to draw a card if the opponent's monster,
Cyber Twin Dragon, is in a defense position. In sum, Edo
activates the effect of Spark Blaster to change Cyber Twin
Dragon into a defense position in order to play the effect
of Guard Penalty. After drawing a new card, he reactivates
the effect of Spark Blaster to change Cyber Twin Dragon
back to the attack position. The effect of Spark Blaster
can be played for three times, so Edo uses its last time
to turn Cyber Twin Dragon into the defense position again.
People feel very amazed by that Cyber Twin Dragon is treated
like a pet. Kaiser certainly gets mad because his monster
is played around and Edo seems to have fun with it. Sho
looks amazed when he sees his brother getting mad and becoming
heat up.
|
E-Hero Shining
Phoenix Guy
Magic Card |
When the effect of Spark Blaster is played three times,
it has to be destroyed. Also, after Guard Penalty's effect
is used until it's sent into the graveyard, Edo can draw
another card. He claims to become more serious when he gets
the card he wants. Playing Polymerization from his hand,
he fuses E-Hero Sparkman and E-Hero Phoenix Guy on the field
into [E-Hero Shining Phoenix Guy -
8/2500/2100: Increase this Monster's attack strength by
300 for each Monster with E-HERO in
its name in your Cemetery]. Kenzan thinks that this
new monster is supposed to be similar to Judai's E-Hero
Shining Flare Wingman. By its special effect, its attack
points can be increased by 300 points for each E-Hero monster
in the graveyard. There are four E-Hero monsters in Edo's
cemetery, Featherman/Burst Lady/Sparkman/Phoenix Guy, so
the attack points of E-Hero Shinging Phoenix Guy become
3700 (2500+4*300). Edo declares its attack against defending
Cyber Twin Dragon immediately. Setting a reversed card,
Edo ends his turn.
For Kaiser, he claims for his victory, betting by his Kaiser
title. It's now his turn. He draws a card and get [Cybernetic
Fusion Support - Instant Magic: Pay half of your Life Points
to activate this card. If all the Fusion Material Monsters
listed on a Machine-Type Fusion Monster are in your Graveyard,
remove the Fusion Material Monsters in your Graveyard from
play to Substitute this card as the Fusion Material Monsters].
Another hand is his last card, Polymerizatin. He plays both
of them at the same time. He has to pay a half of his LP
to play Cybernetic Fusion Support, so his LP goes down to
600 (1200/2). According to its effect, he can remove three
Cyber Dragons in his graveyard from the game to summon specially
its fusion monster, [Cyber End Dragon
- 10/4000/2800: When this Monster attacks a Monster in defense
mode with a defense strength lower than this Monster's attack
strength, do Battle Damage to your opponent equal to the
difference]. Misawa feels very impressed by that
Kaiser can summon his strongest monster at such a perfect
time.
|
Destiny Destroy
Trap Card |
The audiences become more excited as well when Kaiser's
victory-leading monster eventually appears. Kaiser then
declares the attack of Cyber End Dragon, Eternal Evolution
Burst, agasint E-Hero Shining Phoenix Guy at once. He smiles
and thinks that this should be the conclusion of the game.
Actually, it doesn't look like his normal personality to
think of the victory while the game hasn't ended. Edo calls
out his Sempai's name and says "Kaiser
Ryo, as a Pro Sempai (senior), I have some warning for you.
If you get so excited that you lose the control of yourself,
you will be defeated in the pro league" (Edo
considers himself a senior in the Pro League).
At this moment, Kaiser has just noticed Edo's face-down
card, but he can no longer stop his attack. Cyber End Dragon
lauches its steam at the same time Edo is openning his reversed
trap card [Destiny Destroy - Trap:
Choose 5 cards from your deck and send them to the Cemetery.
For each Magic card you choose from this effect do 100 damage
to your Life Points]. Due to its effect, he can send
5 cards from his deck into the graveyard. His main purpose
is to activate the special effect of E-Hero Shining Phoenix
Guy, whose attack points can be increased by 300 points
for each E-Hero monster in his cemetery. Edo discards E-Hero
Edgeman, Bubbleman, Wildman, Clayman, and Hero Signal, into
the graveyard, resulting total 8 E-Hero monsters in there
(plus Featherman, Burst Lady, Sparkman, and Phoenix Guy).
Consequently, E-Hero Shining Phoenix Guy's attack points
go up to 4900 (2500+8*300), surpassing Cyber End Dragon's.
Cyber End Dragon is finally destroyed while Kaiser's LP
becomes 0 (600+4000-4900).
People
seem to be very surprised by Kaiser's defeat. Kaiser feels
so upset as falling onto his knees. He tries to blame himself,
but Edo stops his words. Edo says that his destiny had already
been determined since before the duel started. Kaiser reminds
himself of the similar words he heard previously in the
city. He suspects whether Edo is the monster hunting criminals
in the current news. Edo doesn't answer while leaving and
smirking. All people looking at the screen become very shocked
when their Kaiser was defeated in this game.
To be continued...
Sho |
My
dear brother was already defeated~ |
Judai |
Be
strong, Sho! In a game, one side must be defeated
anyway. |
Sho |
But...Edo's
deck is the same Hero deck as Big Brother's. |
Judai |
Ah,
that might be bad for Kaiser. What would it be if
Hero faces Hero? |
Sho |
Next,
"VS Edo part 1! E-Hero VS
E-Hero". Big Brother, please win! |
Judai |
There is such a Hero...~ |
