The episode opens with a recap of the end of last episode, with lightning crashing down to Power Bond Cyber End Dragon with 8000 attack points. "It's too bad, Yuki Judai. That my final duel here had to end this way...Battle!", Kaiser mentions before beginning the attack of Cyber End Dragon.

Asuka is impressed that Ryo managed to summon Cyber End Dragon yet again, and powering it up with Power Bond, as well. Misawa comments that he is indeed perfect, and Manjoume says it's the end of the duel. Sho whispers, "Aniki..."

Soul Union
Trap Card

Ryo explains Power Bond's effects that make such the big differences between Cyber End Dragon with 8000 attack points and opposing Wild Jaggyman with 2600 attack points, restating that he regrets that his last duel is ending like this. He declares an attack, and Judai reveals a trap card [Soul Union ~ Tamashii No Kessoku Soul Union - Trap: This card can only be activated when 1 Monster on your side of the Field that includes Elemental Hero in its' card name is selected as an attack target. Increase the ATK of the attack target by an amount equal to the ATK of 1 Monster in your Graveyard that includes Elemental Hero in its' card name]. This allows him to add the attack power of the Edgeman (2600atk/1600def) in his graveyard to Wild Jaggyman, giving it a total of 5200 (2600+2600). But Ryo says that it's useless -- Cyber End Dragon's power is too great. Judai realizes that he'll still be taking 2800 damage -- more than his current life point total of 1900. He bonks his forehead. "Dang it! Why? I've been thinking so frantically for today's duel..."

"It's the end. Go, Cyber End Dragon! Eternal Evolution Burst!"

Cyber End Dragon fires three blasts of energy from its mouths, destroying Wild Jaggyman. Judai thinks, 'The Kaiser's dueling is as good as always. But I'm not going to let it end here...' He roars as his life points drop... to 100 (1900+1000+5200-8000). People are all amazed by that Judai could stand such a great hit of Cyber End Dragon. Judai grins as he reveals chained Emergency Provisions to the attack just in time, sacrificing Soul Union to gain just enough life points (+1000) to survive [Emergency Provisions ~ Hijyoo Shoku - Instant Magic: Send Magic or Trap Cards on your side of the field to the Graveyard to increase your Life Points by 1000 points per card. This card is excluded]. He then activates his remaining trap card, Hero Signal, calling forth Bubbleman in defense mode, and drawing two cards via Bubbleman's special effect [Hero Signal - Trap: You can only activate this card if a Monster of yours is destroyed as a result of Battle and sent to the Cemetery. Special Summon 1 Monster with Hero in its name from your deck]. 'I've crammed my head full of everything I need for today. I'm not going to let it end just yet!'

Cyber Giraffe
Monster Card

Ryo, unruffled, summons Cyber Giraffe in attack mode, and then sacrifices [Cyber Giraffe - 3/300/800: Sacrifice this card. In this turn's End Phase, damage done to you by a card's effect is reduced to 0]. If he sacrifices this monster, any damage done to him by card effects in the End Phase is reduced to zero -- thus negating the dangers of Power Bond.

"That's the Kaiser for you," Misawa says. Fubuki adds, "Perfect!"

"I wanted to see a different flavor from you," Ryo says sadly.

"What are you talking about? I'm not finished yet!"

"You still don't understand? Using your head so much... it's really not like you."

Judai looks startled by the statement... and then his stomach growls. He groans and sits down. "Man, I've been stuffing my head so full I left my stomach empty..." Ryo and the audience look at Judai in surprise. "Tome-san! Hey, Tome-san, are you here?" Tome, in the audience, was clearly not expecting this. "Food! Get me some food!"

Tome looks at one of her waitresses, sitting beside her, and the two of them smile and nod. "Leave it to us!"

"What the heck is Judai thinking?" Asuka asks.

Fubuki grins. "He's an interesting guy, isn't he? Judai-kun... a good pick, eh?"

Asuka scowls at him. "And just what do you mean by that?" Fubuki, still smiling, backs down.

Misawa and Manjoume comment on the unusual request, but Sho is smiling. "Aniki... his eyes are back to normal!"

Judai grins and leans back. "Kaiser -- it's like you said. I haven't been acting like myself. But I'm cutting that out now. I'll be the same as always. Think it's okay for me to grab a bite?" Ryo smiles and tells Judai to do as he wishes. "Thank you, Kaiser!"

Chronos is taken aback by all this. Food -- no, a meal in the middle of a duel? Mama mia! Sameshima is more accepting, and Chronos says there's no helping it.

Time passes. Tomo and her assistant have brought out a rice cooker into the stadium, and finished cooking a large amount of rice (Onigiri). Tomo pats it into triangular rice balls, and hands a plate of them with a few slices of pickle up to Judai. He thanks her and starts gobbling it down, and she encourages him to eat as much as he likes. Judai's friends look to varying degrees happy and frustrated with him. And Ryo is smiling as Judai gobbles down rice and drinks from a bottle of melon juice.

Chronos comments on how Judai certainly can pack away the food. Sameshima replies, "It's his gut instincts." Seeing Chronos's look of confusion, he continues. "Long ago, before animals could think well with their brains, they relied on their guts to think. Listening to their instinctive feelings was the root of their strength. Judai's strength just might be his tremendous gut feelings..."

Judai loosens his belt and springs to his feet. It's comeback time! He thanks Tome and her assistant as they clear the plates away, then turns to Ryo. Both of them seem far more engaged now, and the audience can tell.

Infiltration Spy Hero
Magic Card

Judai draws. He plays Pot of Greed to draw two more cards, and sets Featherman in defense mode [E-Hero Featherman - 3/1000/1000]. Next, he plays [Infiltration Spy Hero ~ Sennyu Spy Hero - Magic: Send 2 cards from your deck at random into the Cemetery. Randomly, select 1 Magic card from your opponent's Cemetery and place it into your hand]. He sends two random cards from his deck to his graveyard to take one magic card from the Kaiser's graveyard. A black-suited hero-esque figure appears on Judai's side, turns invisible, and then swiftly reappears by Ryo, whipping a card from Ryo's graveyard and throwing it to Judai. Judai catches it, and reveals that it's [Future Fusion ~ Mirai Yuugou Future Fusion - Equipment Magic: Send, from your Deck to the Graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Fusion Card, and select that 1 Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck. Special Summon a Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck with the same name as the selected Fusion Monster during your 2nd Standby Phase after this card's activiation. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) When this card is removed from the field, destroy the monster. When the monster is destroyed, destroy this card]. He plays it, sending Burst Lady and Clayman to the graveyard to summon Rampart Gunner in defense mode [E-Hero Rampart Gunner - 6/2000/2500: If this Monster is in defense mode, you can attack your opponent directly. Battle Damage done by this effect is halved]. He then sets two cards face-down and ends his turn.

Cyber Phoenix
Monster Card

"Here I come, too," Ryo says, drawing. He summons Cyber Phoenix and explains its effects: when a magic or trap card targets one of his monsters, he can use Cyber Phoenix to negate and destroy it [Cyber Phoenix - 4/1200/1600: When this card is face-up on the Field when 1 the activation of Magic or Trap cards that select your Monster as a target during battle are negated and destroyed]. Judai realizes that it means Cyber End Dragon can't become the target of his reverse magic or trap cards, thinking that Kaiser always has well preparation. People are wondering what Judai is gonna do.

Fubuki comments that the duel is getting interesting. Asuka says that Judai's down to 100 life -- even the slightest attack will finish him. "Hm, is that so?" Fubuki says amusedly.

"I'm afraid your gut feelings have led you astray -- this is the end. Cyber End Dragon, attack Rampart Gunner!"

Judai activates a face-down card [De Fusion ~ Yuugou Kaijyo - Instant Magic: Return 1 Fusion Monster Card on the Field to its' owner's Fusion Deck. If all the Fusion-Material Monsters for the returned Fusion Monster Card are in the Graveyard, they can be Special Summoned to the Field at this time]. Ryo says it won't work -- with Cyber Phoenix, he can negate an attempt to de-fuse his Cyber End Dragon. But Judai knows that. That's why he's not targeting Cyber End Dragon, but instead Rampart Gunner, which splits into Burst Lady and Clayman. Sho is impressed by that Judai's got four Elemental Heroes D in play at once, but Ryo wonders what the point is. Even with four of them, they're like so much dust before Cyber End Dragon's 8000 attack. But something strikes him suddenly...

Elemental Burst
Trap Card

Judai actually aims to activate his reverse card that requires the condition with having these 4 monsters on the field. "Before the united strength of the Elemental Heroes, no power is enough! I activate my trap card -- Elemental Burst! When I have, on my field, Earth, Water, Fire and Wind-type monsters, I can sacrifice one of each to destroy every card on your side of the field!" The kanji for the four elements appear over the Elemental Heroes, and they explode into geysers of their elements -- dirt and stones from Clayman, blue water from Bubbleman, red flames from Burst Lady, and swirling wind from Featherman [Elemental Burst - Trap: Sacrifice 1 Monster of each of Air, Water, Fire and Earth Main-Types on your Field and activate. Destroy all cards on your opponent's Field]. The four streams lash out and destroy Cyber End Dragon and Cyber Phoenix.

Time Fusion
Magic Card

Ryo reveals another effect of Cyber Phoenix -- when it is destroyed, he can draw one card. "This was very much your style -- a very tastefrent combo. But as I've said, Cyber End Dragon is invulnerable! I remove one card in my hand from the game to play the magic card Time Fusion! It calls out through time to make a fusion possible! It allows me to ignore fusion requirements and, on my next Standby Phase, special summon one Fusion Monster." On his next turn, Cyber End Dragon will be reborn [Time Fusion ~ Jikan Yuugou Time Fusion - Magic: Remove from play 1 card in your hand. Select 1 Fusion Monster from your Graveyard, and Special Summon it to your side of the field during your next Standby Phase, ignoring the Summoning conditions. The monster that was Special Summoned by this effect cannot attack during the turn that it is Special Summoned].

The shining light of Time Fusion shines over the field as Ryo declares this to be the end, but Judai says he's got a good feeling about his strength. His observing friends comment that this is much more like him -- he's going by his feelings again. Asuka says that it's all down to his next draw...

Judai draws, then sets the card face down and ends his turn.

Ryo draws, then reveals the card he removed from the game last turn was Treasure from Another Dimension [Treasure from Another Dimension ~ Ichigenkara No Housatsu - Magic: If this card is removed from play for 1 turn, return this card to your hand during your Standby Phase. When this card is returned to your hand, each player draws 2 cards from their decks]. He returns it to his hand, and both players draw two cards.

'Now, what will you do, Judai?'

'That's the Kaiser for you -- turning a cost into a way to replenish his hand.'

Next, Ryo activates the effect of Time Fusion to summon Cyber End Dragon. Asuka is impressed that no matter how many times he loses Cyber End Dragon, he keeps on recovering it. But Misawa points out that the monster summoned by Time Fusion can't attack the turn it's summoned. "It's down to this turn," Manjoume says. "But what can that idiot do in just one turn?"

Ryo sets one card face down and ends his turn. Chronos is sweating, tense from all the excitement, and Sameshima is watching eagerly, with shining eyes.

Judai draws. He plays Fusion Recovery to return Polymerization and Burst Lady to his hand, then summons Burst Lady [Fusion Recovery - Magic: Place 1 Fusion Material Monster used in a Fusion and 1 Polymerization Magic card from your Cemetery into your hand]. Next, he plays Miracle Fusion, removing Burst Lady and Featherman from the game to summon Flame Wingman. And then he plays Polymerization, fusing Flame Wingman with the Sparkman in his hand to summon Shining Flare Wingman [E-Hero Flame Wingman - 8/2100/2800: This monster can be summoned only by fusion. When this Monster destroys a Monster as a result of Battle, do direct damage to your opponent equal to the attack points of the destroyed monster]. With its power increased by 300 points for each Elemental Hero in his graveyard, Shining Flare Wingman [E-Hero Shining Flare Wingman - 8/2500/2100: Increase this Monster's attack strength by 300 for each Monster with E-HERO in their name in your Cemetery. If this Monster destroys a Monster as a result of battle, do damage to your opponent equal to the attack strength of that Monster]. According to its effect, its attack points can increase by 300 points for each E-Hero monsters in the cemetery. There are 8 E-Hero monsters - Clayman, Sparkman, Rampart Gunner, Edgeman, Flame Wingman, Wildman, Bubbleman, and Wild Jaggyman - in his graveyard, excluding Burst Lady and Feather that were previously removed from the game by the effect of Miracle Fusion. Thus, the attack points of E-Hero Shining Flare Wingman become 4900 (2500+8*300).

"Now, everyone, lend me your power," he whispers as images of the Elemental Hero cards burst from his graveyard. "Go! Shining Shoot!. Shining Flare Wingman leaps at Cyber End Dragon and destroys it, reducing Ryo's life to 1100 (2000+4000-4900). Judai then activates Shining Flare Wingman's effect, to cause damage to Ryo equal to Cyber End Dragon's attack points. The hero lands in front of Ryo and flares brightly...

Damage Polarilyzer
Trap Card

But Ryo activates his trap card [Damage Polarilyzer ~ Counter Trap: You can activate this card when you would take damage from an effect. That damage is reduced to 0. Both players then draw 1 card]. A shimmering shield appears in front of him, and the damage from Shining Flare Wingman's effect is reduced to zero. Everyone looks shocked, and Chronos is mopping up the sweat from his face with a handkerchief. Judai is as impressed as everyone else: "Amazing... you're amazing, Kaiser. You truly are the strongest!"

Both players get to draw a card from Damage Polarilyzer's effect. They do so simultaneously, and look down at a magic card -- the same magic card for each of them, Battle Fusion. Both think that this could be the turning point... Judai sets his card face-down, and ends his turn. "Come on, Kaiser! Enough with the normal fusions! Let's bring an end to this fusion battle -- bring on your Power Bond!"

Ryo smiles. He can feel the heat of Judai's passion... Asuka realizes this is the first time she's seen this sort of energy in Ryo. Fubuki nods, and says he understands now why Ryo chose Judai as his opponent.

Cybernatic Fusion Support
Magic Card

Ryo draws, laughs, and says that he's won this battle. He plays Power Bond, despite his empty field. "I'll show it to you now, Judai. My 'perfection!'" He plays another magic card [Cybernetic Fusion Support - Instant Magic: Pay half of your Life Points to activate this card. If all the Fusion Material Monsters listed on a Machine-Type Fusion Monster are in your Graveyard, remove the Fusion Material Monsters in your Graveyard from play to Substitute this card as the Fusion Material Monsters]. When Fusion summoning a Machine-type monster, he can pay half his life points to let him use Fusion material monsters in his graveyard, removing them from the game. At this point, his LP reduces to 550 (1100/2). The three Cyber Dragons emerge, and merge into Cyber End Dragon with 8000 attack points (4000*2) by the effect of Power Bond. Ryo then plays [Limiter Removal ~ Limiter Kaijyo ~ Instant Magic: Double the attack strength of all of your face-up Machine Sub-Type Monsters on the Field. Destroy all Monsters affected by this effect at the end of the turn], and doubles Cyber End Dragon's attack strength to 16000 (8000*2).

Battle Fusion
Magic Card
He declares an attack, and Judai reveals his face-down card [Battle Fusion ~ Sentou Yuugou Battle Fusion - Instant Magic: Activate during a battle. The attack strength of your Monster will be increased by the attack strength of your opponent's Monster]. In a battle, he can add the enemy monster's attack to his own monster's -- boosting Shining Flare Wingman to 20900 strength (4900+16000). Sameshima is unable to control himself, rising to his feet and calling out, "Splendid! The two of you are absolutely splendid!" Cyber End Dragon dives down as Shining Flare Wingman leaps up. Ryo smiles -- "Our aims were the same. But timing is everything!" He activates a magic card from his hand -- Battle Fusion, which boosts Cyber End Dragon's power to 36900 (16000+20900).

Judai grins as light surrounds him. "You really are, great, Kaiser. Perfect!"

"But at the same time, that is my limitation. 'Perfect...' It means that I've reached my limits. Yuki Judai -- you have infinite potential!"

Final Fusion
Trap Card
"Thank you, Kaiser. Hearing those words from a graduate thrills me. As the representative of the underclassmen, I'll give you this graduation memory, Kaiser! I activate the trap card Final Fusion!" [Final Fusion ~ Kensen Yuugou Final Fusion - Trap: Both players will take damage from the total sum of both of their Monster's attack strengths] Ryo looks surprised, then satisfied by that Judai hasn't been defeated easily. By the card's effect, both players will take damage equal to the combined attack strengths of the two battling monsters. Judai and Ryo smile as Cyber End Dragon and Shining Flare Wingman clash in a giant explosion.

As the smoke slowly clears, Ryo has dropped to one knee, his life points at zero (550-36900-20900). And Judai is lying on his back, life points also at zero (100-36900-20900).

And one by one, the students rise to their feet. Sameshima is the first to begin applauding, and everyone slowly joins in.

"Are you all right?" Ryo crouches beside Judai.

"Yeah. How about you, Kaiser?"

Ryo nods as Judai sits up. "A good duel."

"Yeah. Dueling with you was the ultimate."

"I leave the rest to you, underclassman."

"Leave it to me -- graduate." The two of them high five. "Congratulations on your graduation!"

And then they both collapse on their backs, laughing in relief. And everyone applauds -- even Manjoume looks impressed for once.

The end of Season I, to be continued in Season II
