episode 43 summarized by Ramza/ShogoY |
The
Scene starts off on a luxury boat crusing somewhere. Inside
it, is a casino where many of the people are gambling. Then
in one room you see two people playing poker. (Yes my favorite
game!! And its a boom atm =p). Anyways the guy with the
black suit shows his hand, Straight Flush (The odds are
pretty low). He shows it and laughs to the guy with the
white suit, saying "Even with
your title, I doubt you can beat this". As he
takes the chips a red hankerchief falls on the chips and
at the same time the man says, "hold
on". He shows his hand, [Royal Straight Flush]
(um ya, thats like almost close to impossible ^ ^;;) and
he wins. After the match he goes outside and gets told by
the man with the black suit, "You're
strong "Boy just as everyone expects, there isn't anyone
that can beat you in cards." Then he tells Boy
that "It's pretty weird you weren't
selected as a member." he then starts to talk
about how theres a battle going on for the San-Gen Ma (Three
Legendary Demons) and how theres a battle going on with
7 players. He asks what the battles about, Poker? Blackjack?,
at the end he gets told Duel Monsters, and then he rides
his boat to the Island.
The scene changes back to the Island of Duel Academia (Should
I just say Kaiba-Land? =p). There Judai looks at the ocean
and you see Asuka coming in. Just like how Kaiser and Asuka
meet and ask what hes thinking/shes thinking, Asuka asks
the same thing to Judai, Judai talks about Daitokuji Teacher,
he's been missing for a while and he was thinking if he
got off the island already. Asuka also wants to find him
to ask why he brought Fubuki to a lesson of a Shadow Duel
back in the days.
You see Boy getting off his motor boat and stepping on
the island. He enters the Principals office at Duel Academia,
and Chronos asks him "What are
you talking about" boy replies back by saying
"Its not too late, I want you
to hire me". Chronos asks back "Who
the heck are you?" Boy shows his card to Chronos
and we see his name as "Free
Gambler, Boy" Boy continues to talk about how
he's taken the top of gambling. The principal tries to hide
that secret by telling Boy that Duel Academia is a place
to learn and study dueling and such duels like that are
banned, and hes never heard of the Seven Stars. As boy continues
to argue, the door behind him opens but no one enters, its
Sho eavesdropping the conversation. Then you see Judai and
Asuka walk by and as they try to enter it seems like Asuka
neglects to. Boy keeps saying he'll protect the San-Gen
ma, but the principal tells Boy to leave for tonight. Boy
doesn't like the fact that they're not listening so hes
saying hes not gonna leave. Chronos snaps his fingers and
gets the Special Force of Duel Academia (Episode
7) to make him leave by force. However Boy gets
rid of them by throwing cards (Wahoo Gambit Skills from
X-Men!). As
they fall to the ground Chronos also gets hit and his pants
fall. "Until you let me become
a member I won't move from here". Asuka then
enters the room and acknowledges him. She tells him, "I'll
test you out, and I'm a member fighting against the Seven
Stars, if you beat me I'll give you the rights to fight
them." Boy and Asuka know each other and Asuka
names him as Mitsuo-Kun. Boy doesn't like his real name
used so he tells Asuka that his name is Boy.

Gamble Angel
Bunny
Monster Card |
Gamble
Tenshi Bunny
So the duel starts between Asuka and Boy. Boy's turn, he
summons [Gamble Angel Bunny ~ - 4/1200/1200:
You flip a coin to inflict 1000 LP of damage to the opponent
when you are right on the coin toss, or 1000 LP to yourself
when you are wrong on the coin toss. This could only be
done once per turn]. Sho loves every monster thats
a girl eh? Then Judai tells Sho, "Weren't
you a Black Magician Girl lover?" and Sho replies
back by saying "Err yup".
He also places one card on the field, and activates Gamble
Tenshi Bunnies ability. "Let
us place our lives in this coin toss". Boy flips
the coin and he calls Tails, its Heads. As Judai and the
others are happy, Boy says, nope one more time. He tells
the reason, he has a [Second Coin
Toss ~ Second Chance - Permanent Magic: Once per turn, you
may flip a coin again]. Activating that ability he
plays the ability and flips the coin again, and calls Tails.
This time its Tails, at this time, he activates Gamble Tenshi
Bunnies ability to deal 1000 LP to Asuka, dropping her to
3000 LP. He places one reverse card on the field and ends
his turn.
Asuka's turn, she plays [Cyber Tu
Tu ~ Cyber Chu Chu - 3/1000/800: If your opponent has face-up
Monsters with an ATK higher than the ATK of this card, this
card can attack your opponent's Life Points directly]
and tells Boy Chu Chus ability. She attacks with Cyber Chu
Chu, but Boy activates his Reverse [Fairy
Box ~ Monster Box - Permanent Trap: Everytime a monster
attacks, you flip a coin. When you are right, the opponents
Monster that is attacking has an ATK of 0. Every standby
phase, you pay 500 LP. Otherwise you sacrifice this card].
So Boy flips a coin and calls Heads. He's wrong but Judai
notices he has Second Chance out in the field. Boy flips
the coin again by the ability of Second Chance, and he calls
Heads again. Getting it right this time, Cyber Chu Chu's
ATK becomes 0 thus doing no damage to Boy. She places 1
Reverse Card in the field and ends her turn. |

"You
don't change at all Mistuo-Kun", Asuka tells
Boy that he's a selfish player whose really scared of his
own playing. Boy argues back by saying his One and Only
Gambler Spirit, what makes you think I'm scared?. The scene
relfects back to their past, when Boy first moved into Asuka's
class. She starts to talk about how when she first saw him,
he had the smile of an Angel, but from the next day on it
became the laughter of the devil. Asuka talks about how
she got the red scarf from her mother, and at the same time,
you hear a crowd watching Boy and another student duel.
Boy loses the first match in cards and he gives away his
red Mini car. The student asks if its really ok to take
the mini car, Boy says yes, and he asks to duel again. Boy
was a wealthy student so he had nothing to lose, as he kept
playing he kept taking away stuff from the students. Asuka
getting mad about it, tells Mitsuo to give back all the
stuff. Mitsuo tells Asuka, if you want me to give it all
back, you gotta win it back. Asuka tells her thats ok, but
she asks to duel her in Duel Monsters. Asuka keeps beating
Mitsuo, and she tells him, You'll never beat me. Mitsuo
getting mad tells Asuka, "One
day I'll beat you, so that red handkerchief is myne!".
He takes it from Asuka and runs off.
The scene goes back to the present and Asuka tells boy
about how he moved and she could never get the handkerchief
back. Boy then talks about since then the handkerchiefs
been a charm, and he's never lost it when he had it with
him. Back to the duel, Boy pays 500 LP to keep Fairy Box
in play, and he activates Gamble Angel Bunnies ability,
he flips a coin and calls it Heads. It's tails but by the
ability of Second Chance, he flips the coin again, and this
time he calls Tails. Its Tails and he deals 1000
LP of damage to Asuka reducing her life to 2000 LP. Boy
then summons another Gamble Angel Bunny, and he attacks
Cyber Chu Chu with it. Asuka wonders why he didn't activate
Gamble Tenshi Bunnies ability and she activates her reverse
card [Doble Passe - Trap: Activate
this card when your opponent attacks a Monster on your Field.
You can take that damage directly and afterwards, you can
attack the opponent directly with the Monster that was targeted
in battle this turn]. So she takes the 1200 LP Damage
(2000 - 1200) to go down to 800 LP, but at the same time
she reduces Boy's LP by 1000 and reduces him to 2500 LP
(3500 - 1000). Boy claims he still has another Bunny left
to attack with, so he attacks Cyber Chu Chu with the 2nd
one, and this time it destroys it to reduce Asuka to 600
LP (800 + 1000 - 1200). Boy tells Asuka, that she's full
of scratches and she has no monsters on the Field. Asuka's
turn, she places one Reverse card on the field and plays
[Scapegoat - Instant Magic: You can
summon 4 Scape Goat Tokens 1/0/0 on the Field in Defense
Mode. These tokens cannot be used as sacrifices]
and ends her turn.
Turn goes back to Boy, he pays 500 LP on his standby phase
and he summons [Sand Gambler - 3/300/1600:
You flip a coin 3 times, if it's heads 3 times in a row,
destroy all monsters on the opponents field, if it's tails
3 times in a row, destroy all monsters on own field].
With the help of Second Chance, he flips 3 Heads.
Conspiracy: Ok I know its just a TV show,
but can't we make it a bit more realistic? The odds of getting
a Royal Straight Flush earlier, and the odds of getting
it always right on Second Chance is kind of well odd. This
one is more. (2 Choose 1) (2 Choose 1) (2 Choose 1), its
low in my opinion but meh, just wanted to point that out
^ ^.
Asuka's Scapegoats are destroyed, but she plays her reverse
[Hallowed Life Barrier - Trap: Discard
1 Card from your hand. All Damage you recieve this turn
is 0]. Because of this Boy ends his turn. Asuka's
turn, she draws and reflects back to the past again. She
wanted Boy to learn the fun in Duel Monsters, how tactics
and having fun is important in dueling. She plays Magic
Card, The Return of the Warrior, to get Cyber Tu Tui back
to her hand. She summons it, and then plays Magic Card [The
Light of Prima ~ Prima No Hikari - Instant Magic: Send 1
Cyber Tu Tu on your Field to the Cemetery in order to Special
Summon 1 Cyber Prima from your
hand] and by sacrificing Cyber Chu Chu she summons
[Cyber Prima - 6/2300/1600: When this
card is Tribute Summoned successfully, destroy all face-up
Magic Cards on the Field]. With this Second Chance
is destroyed. Asuka claims Boy will lose if Prima attacks
Sand Gambler. Boy argues back that he still has Fairy Box
in play even though Second Chance is destroyed. Asuka tells
Boy if he can do it? He's never got the first toss right
and Asuka claims you can't win everytime by just luck. She
attacks Sand Gambler with Cyber Prima, Boy activates Fairy
Box's ability, and calls Tails. Asuka claims Boy, you have
no skill in Gambling. The flip turns out to be Heads, so
nothing happens and Primas attack goes through, [Shuumaku
no Revelence / The End of Revelence], and Boys LP
goes down to 0 [2000 + 300 - 2300].
As
Asuka wins the duel, Boy claims that you were playing by
luck at the end also, but Asuka claims by tactics she kept
reducing the odds of you losing the flip, and she doesn't
want to be considered a low land gambler like him. Boy claims
he'll give back the handkerchief of the one he loved. Boy
just tells Asuka to keep up the good work, and again tells
Asuka, its not Mitsuo-Kun, it's Boy, whatever just call
me what you want. Judai is excited about Asuka's victory
and Hayato says I guess there wasn't a second chance at
love. The principal claims, "Oh
being young is so good". and Chronos tells him
"Judai seems like he's too young
for a Love Duel". Judai has no idea about what
they are talking about and just yells at Boy "Great
Duel! Duel me next time!". Boy doesn't look
too happy and just walks away.
