The duel between North School and Duel Academia, Judai
(1600) VS Manjyome (3600), is continued. Manjyome declares
the final attack of Armed Dragon LV7 against Judai who has
no monster left on the field. At this moment, Judai opens
his face-down trap card, Hero Spirits. Then, E-Hero Featherman
reappears to protect him from the strike [Hero
Spirits - Trap: You can only activate this card during the
Battle Phase of a turn in which a Monster on your side of
the Field that included Elemental Hero in its' card name
was destroyed as a result of battle. Make the Battle Damage
from 1 of your opponent's Monsters 0]. Manjyome is
wondering what is exactly protecting Judai. Judai explains
that this Hero Spirits can be activated when his E-Hero
monster is destroyed. Also, the spirit of the destroyed
can appear to protect him, so he gets no battle damage.
Because E-Hero Featherman was destroyed previously by Genocide
Cutter of Armed Dragon LV7, it could come out to protect
Judai following the effect. Manjyome accepts Judai's defense;
however, he thinks that there is still nothing that can
beat his Armed Dragon LV7. He then ends his turn.
It
is now Judai's turn. He draws a card and gets Hane Kuriboh.
Judai is glad to see that his good partner comes out in
this perfect time. He summons it in a defense mode and ends
his turn quickly [Winged Kuriboh ~
Hane Kuriboh - 1/300/200: When this Monster is destroyed
in Battle, all Battle Damage is reduced to 0 for this turn].
Manjyome is getting annoyed, asking for how long Judai is
running away by that kind of thing. Meanwhile, the spirit
of Ojama Yellow appears and talks to Manjyome. It thinks
that Hane Kuriboh may know something about its siblings.
Anyway, Manjyome gets annoyed and tells it to shut up. He
hasn't expected it appear in such an important duel like
this. Ojama Yellow isn't pleased with his words either,
trying to hide behind his back. While it is talking to Manjyome,
Hane Kuriboh jumps up on Judai's shoulder and points him
to look at Manjyome carefully. Of course, Judai is amazed
when he can also see the spirit of Ojama Yellow. He asks
him what it is. Manjyome becomes more frustrated, jumping
around to catch Ojama Yellow and telling it to go back since
he isn't gonna use it anyway. He can finally catch it until
it disappears. Then, Manjyome starts his turn.
Manjyome declares the attack against the weak monster,
defending Hane Kuriboh (Hane Kuriboh isn't pleased with
Manjyome's words because he calls it "Sako" that
means a small fish or a weak monster. Kaiba always use this
word with Yugi and Jyonouchi, too). When Hane Kuriboh is
destroyed, Manjyome ends his turn quickly. At this point,
Sho is wondering why Manjyome hadn't activate the special
ability, Genocide Cutter, of Armed Dragon LV7 before the
main attack: sending a monster into graveyard to destroy
all monsters of Judai's field with less attack points than
the sent monster. If Manjyome had done so, he could have
first destroyed Hane Kuriboh by Genocide Cutter, done the
second attack against Judai directly, and won the game.
Misawa explains that the reason is with the special ability
of Kuriboh that can protect Judai from battle damage in
this turn anyway.

Special Hurricane
Magic Card |
Turn now comes back to Judai. He plays Pot of Greed to
draw additional two cards and finally gets some key cards
[Pot of Greed ~ Kou Yuku Na Tsubo:
Draw two cards from your deck]. Manjyome is certainly
curious about them. Discarding a card into his graveyard,
Judai plays Special Hurricane from his hand to destroy the
specially levelled up monster of Manjyome: or the special
summoned monsters on the field [Special
Hurricane - Magic: Discard 1 card from your hand. Destroy
all Special Summoned Monsters on the Field]. Thus,
the strong hurricane blows out and destroys Armed Dragon
LV7, which was summoned specially by the ability of Armed
Dragon LV5. Hayato is impressed by Judai's great performance.
Although the level-up monster is superior, it requires the
special summon. Sho is glad to see that Judai could catch
this weak point and finally defeated Armed Dragon. After
that, Judai summons E-Hero Wildman in an attack position,
and lets it attack Manjyome Thunder directly [E-Hero
Wildman - 4/1500: This Monster cannot be effected by Trap
cards]. Getting the strong direct hit, Manjyome is
blown away as his LP reduces to 2100 (3600-1500). Here is
the end of Judai's turn.
Meanwhile, Principle Sameshima tells Principle Ichinose
that the reward of the winner becomes uncertain during this
time. Principle Ichinose can't argue him back, shouting
loudly and telling Thunder to stand up. All North School
students also start calling "Thunder" together
out loud. On the other side, Chosaku brother is getting
furious by Jun's play. He doesn't understand what Jun is
doing and why he isn't using his given cards.
|
The Graveyard
in the Fourth Dimension
Magic Card |
Manjyome tries to get up and keeps on his turn. Drawing
a card, he plays the magic card, The Graveyard in the Fourth
Dimension, to take back two monsters with "LV"
from his graveyard and then shuffles his deck [The
Graveyard in the Fourth Dimension ~ Yojigen No Haka - Instant
Magic: Add two monsters in your graveyard that have "LV"
in their card name to your deck and shuffle it].
Therefore, Manjyome decides to return Armed Dragon LV3 and
LV7 to his deck. After that, he summons Armed Dragon LV3
in a defense position. He sets up a face-down card, ending
his turn. At this moment, Principle Ichinose is impressed
by Manjyome's great play and admires him as his right choice
of the school representative.
Manjyome reminds himself of what his brother told him before;
he was a drop out among brothers and he wouldn't be forgiven
for the defeat. He looks towards his brothers on the arena,
so Judai can see that Manjyome's attention goes to somewhere.
Seeing Manjyome's brothers, Judai realizes that he saw Manjyome
crying before in the restroom. Manjyome merely thought that
he would like to win and keep on winning. Judai understands
this pressure from his brothers very well. At the same time,
Judai seems to hear Sho's voice inside his mind. Sho is
calling him and asking what's wrong with him and whether
he doesn't enjoy the duel. Thus, Judai has just realized
that the duel isn't only about the victory or fighting for
people. Nevertheless, it is that you have fun for yourself.
Judai calls out Manjyome's name loudly, but Manjyome only
reminds Judai of the proper suffix, Thunder. People start
cheering and calling "Manjyome Thunder" again.
 |
"
Duel? I see. The duel isn't only about the winning.
It isn't about fighting for anybody, either. The duel
is that you have fun with it. Manjyome!" |
|
Graveyard of Revival
Trap Card |
Now, it is Judai's turn. Drawing a card, he lets E-Hero
Wildman attack Armed Dragon LV3. Suddenly, Manjyome opens
his face-down trap card, Graveyard of Revival [Graveyard of Revival ~ Fukkatsu No Hakaana: You can only activate
this card if your opponent destroys a Monster of yours as
a result of battle and sends into the Cemetery. Each player
Special Summons 1 Monster from their Cemetery in defense
mode. The mode of that Monster cannot be changed].
This card can be activated only if a monster is destroyed
in battle. Both Judai and Manjyome are allowed to one monster
from their graveyards onto the field in a defense position.
Thus, Manjyome resummons Armed Dragon LV5 from his cemetery.
Sho sees that although Armed Dragon LV5 can be summoned,
it can't change the position due to the effect of the trap
card. However, Misawa adds that though it is in the defense
mode, Manjyome can still activate its powerful special ability;
Send 1 Monster Card from your hand to the Graveyard to destroy
1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field with
an ATK equal to or less than the ATK of the sent monster.
He realizes that Judai's graveyard now contains merely low-level
monsters. Thus, only the special effect of Armed Dragon
LV5 is enough to destroy Judai's monsters.
Manjyome tells Judai to hurry to resummon a monster from
his graveyard following the effect of his trap card. Judai
can expect that Manjyome is propably planning some strategy
to summon Armed Dragon LV7 in the next turn. Anyway, he
doesn't think that he would end up here. Manjyome tells
him that it doesn't matter what kind of cards will come
out because Judai cards aren't superior to his. Manjyome's
thought is the same as what Misawa analized before; Judai's
cards in the graveyard are all in low level, and they are
gonna be destroyed by the special ability of Armed Dragon
anyway. Then, Judai decides to take Hero Kids from his graveyard
and summons it onto the field in the defense position [Hero
Kids - 2/300/600: If this Monster is Special Summoned, you
can Special Summon Monsters from your deck with the same
name to the Field]. Of course, all people especially
Manjyome are amazed by when Judai sent Hero Kids to the
graveyard. Judai smiles and explains the opportunity that
he could discard a card into his cemetery; previously, Judai
discarded Hero Kids to activate the ability of Special Hurricane.
Moreover, according to the special effect of Hero Kids,
if it is specially summoned, the same monsters with the
same name can be summoned from the deck onto the field.
In other words, other two Hero Kids are summoned specially
from Judai's deck onto the field in the defense position.
Setting a face-down card, Judai ends his turn.
Manjyome smiles and tells him that many weak monsters still
mean nothing; they are useless. He claims that his Armed
Dragon LV5 is going to evolve in this turn (That means the
special effect of Armed Dragon LV7, Genocide Cutter, can
destroy all monsters on the field). In his turn, he draws
a card and plays the magic card, Level Up! [Level
Up! - Magic: Send one face-up monster on your side of the
field that has "LV" in its card name to the graveyard
to activate this card. Special summon the monster that is
written in the card text of that monster from your hand
or deck, ignoring the summonning conditions]. Due
to its effect, Manjyome sends a LV monster on his field
to the graveyard to summon specially a LV monster from his
hand or deck. Undoubtly, he sends Armed Dragon LV5 to the
cemetery to resummon Armed Dragon LV7 onto the field. Most
students start cheering again while Judai's friends are
all worried about Judai. The threat of this great monster
is coming back. Manjyome tells Judai that he won't be defeated
by him again. He must win, no matter what. |

- second period
episode 26 translated by Janime |

Armed Dragon LV7 finally revives. Its image
is currently broadcasted all over TV channels. Then, Manjyome
plays the equipment magic card, Armed Changer, with his
dragon and lets it attack E-Hero Wildman at once [Armed
Changer - Equipment Magic: Discard 1 card from your hand
in order to Equip this card to a Monster. When this Monster
destroys a Monster as a result of battle, return 1 Monster
with equal or less attack strength than the destroyed Monster
from your Cemetery into your hand]. When E-Hero Wildman
is destroyed, Judai's LP goes down to 300 (1600+1500-2800).
According to the effect of Armed Changer, when his equipped
monster can destroy a monster in battle, he can take back
a monster with equal or less attack points than the destroyed
monster's from his cemetery onto his hand. Thus, Manjyome
decides to return Masked Dragon to his hand (The monster
that he summoned in his first turn). After that, he activates
the special ability of Armed Dragon LV7. Sending Masked
Dragon back to the cemetery again, he can destroy all monsters
on the opponent's field. Kaiser sees that Masked Dragon
has 1400 attack points that are higher than all attack points
of each monster, Hero Kids 3/300/600, on Judai's field.
Therefore, all monsters of Judai are totally destroyed.
Sho is getting more worried since Judai's monsters are all
gone. Manjyome laughs loudly, saying that Judai can't defeat
his Armed Dragon at all. While the TV is broadcasting Manjyome's
great play, Manjyome suggests Judai surrender in front of
the crowd.
Principle
Sameshima doesn't think that Judai is gonna do this anyway.
He is right. Judai has never thought of the surrender. Judai
believes that some miracle may happen in the next turn that
is also gonna be his final draw. Furthermore, he tells him
that he would like to duel against a serious Manjyome Thunder
next time. Manjyome is certainly getting more frustrated
when Judai told him that he wasn't serious in this duel.
He can feel something different since Manjyome doesn't look
in the front (but towards his brothers). Thus, Judai hopes
that he will have the real fun duel with Manjyome again
next time. Judai tries to tell Manjyome to enjoy the duel.
Manjyome has never thought about the fun of the duel before,
getting more confused.
Final turn comes to Judai. He draws a card,
gets the magic card, The Warrior Returning Alive, and plays
it to get back a warrior monster from his cemetery onto
his hand [The Warrior Returning Alive
~ Senshi No Seikan: Place 1 Warrior Monster from your Cemetery
into your hand]. He decides to take back E-Hero Featherman
from the cemetery. Then, he plays the magic card, Polymerization,
to fuse E-Hero Featherman and E-Hero Burst Lady on his hand
to E-Hero Flame Wingman [E-Hero Flame
Wingman - 8/2100/2800: This monster can be summoned only
by fusion. When this Monster destroys a Monster as a result
of Battle, do direct damage to your opponent equal to the
attack points of the destroyed monster]. Manjyome
is still wondering how Judai is gonna beat him because Armed
Dragon LV7's attack points (2800) are still higher. Judai
tells him that his combo has already been complete, openning
his face-down trap card, Miracle Kids [Miracle
Kids - Trap: Reduce the attack strength of 1 of your opponent's
Monsters on the Field by 400 for each Hero Kids in your
Cemetery]. Due to its effect, Judai can decrease
the attack points of Armed Dragon LV7 by 400 for each Hero
Kids in his graveyard. There are three Hero Kids destroyed
by Genocide Cutter of Armed Dragon LV7 in the previous turn
in Judai's graveyard, so the attack points of Armed Dragon
LV7 decrease by 1200 (400*3). Its final attack points become
1600 (2800-1200). Judai declares the victory at the same
time when he lets E-Hero Flame Wingman attack Armed Dragon
LV7. The reporter sees that the situation doesn't look good
when Armed Dragon LV7 is burnt by Flame Shoot of E-Hero
Flame Wingman. Thus, he tells his staffs to cut the broadcast.
All channels turn to the weather report instead. North School
students start crying when they see Armed Dragon burnt.
At this moment, Manjyome's LP goes down to 1600 (2100+1600-2100).
Sho is glad to see that Judai can defeat Armed Dragon LV7
again. Misawa adds that E-Hero Flame Wingman still has another
special effect to deal damage equal to the destroyed monster
directly to Manjyome. Asuka realizes that Manjyome's LP
is 1600 while destroyed Armed Dragon LV7's attack points
are also 1600. That means Manjyome's LP goes down to 0 (1600-1600),
and he is eventually defeated.
People
are glad by the victory of Judai as Manjyome falls down
on the floor. Judai declares his victory but he doesn't
say that he enjoys the duel as usual. Then, Manjyome's brothers
walk in and talk to him. They ask what Manjyome did and
claim that he actually dirtied Manjyome family. Manjyome
tries to apologize, but they don't listen. They even ask
why Manjyome didn't use their give cards to create a stronger
deck. Manjyome, in fact, would like to win the duel by his
own deck. Shouji brother can't control his emotion, holding
Manjyome's cloth up and calling him such a stupid brother.
Chousaku also feels disappointed by his drop-out brother.
Anyway, Judai interferes and tries to stop them. Two brothers
think that Judai is an outside and he has nothing to deal
with the family problem. Two brothers explain that the result
is everything for Manjyome family. In other words, only
the result of the victory is valuable since they spent and
invested a lot of money on this duel. Judai tries to explain
that Manjyome, in fact, could defeat them. Manjyome had
to fight in the duel and against the pressure and desperation
that they gave to him. Although he was defeated in the game,
he could get over both of them. Also, the duel doesn't mean
only the victory, but it can teach people many things. Manjyome
tells Judai to stop talking because he doesn't want to look
worse. Also, he tells his brothers to go back. North school
students start calling "Thunder" and tell the
two brothers to go back. Therefore, they Shouji and Chosaku
brothers leave Duel Academia by their helicopters.
Judai |
I
won! |
| Chousaku
Brother |
Jun,
what did you do? Do you really understand what you
did? |
| Shouji
Brother |
You
dirtied Manjyome family. |
Manjyome |
I
am sorry, brothers! |
| Shouji
Brother |
You...the
cards that we gave you....why? |
| Chousaku
Brother |
Why
didn't you use them? If you had used them, you would
have created a stronger deck. |
Manjyome |
I
would like to win by my own deck. |
| Shouji
Brother |
What
a stupid brother! |
| Chousaku
Brother |
That
is why we said that you were always a drop out! |
Judai |
Stop
there, you guys! That's enough. Manjyome already fought
by his best. |
| Chousaku
Brother |
The
stranger like you is interfering our family matter.
|
Judai |
If
you were his brothers, you shouldn't have that attitude,
should you? Both I and Manjyome Thunder dueled by everything
we had. |
| Shouji
Brother |
For
us, the half progress means nothing. The result more
matters. |
Chronos |
I
see...I see...the result is important, isn't it!...but
that is irritating. |
| Chousaku
Brother |
For
our brothers, the result is the important thing. The
result is everything! That means the victory is everthing!
We spent a lot of money especially on this duel. |
| Shouji
Brother |
This
bastard dirtied our faces. |
Judai |
But...he
won you, didn't he? Thunder fought not only in the duel
but also against the pressure and desperation that you
gave him. Suffering Thunder could at least get over
you! |
Chronos |
That's
right. As you said rationally...ah...you didn't call
me anyway... |
Judai |
The
duel doesn't mean only the victory. It is the thing
that you can more learn from. |
Manjyome |
Shut
up, Judai! |
Judai |
Manjyome... |
Manjyome |
That's
enough. Don't make me look more miserable. |
| Chousaku
Brother |
Jun! |
Manjyome |
Brothers, please go back! |
At the seaport, people are sending Manjyome and the others
back to North School. However, Manjyome decides not to go
back because he has something to do at Duel Academia. the
ex-king of North Schoo, [Edogawa],
is getting amazed when Manjyome tells him that he is going
to return the seat of the king to him. Principle Sameshima
is glad to accept Manjyome back to the school since Manjyome
has been the student here from the beginning. In that case,
Principle Ichinose is trying to get his deck back from Manjyome.
Sho |
You
are going back, aren't you? |
Judai |
Good
luck, Manjyome. Let's duel again later. |
Manjyome |
No,
I won't go back to North School. I have something
left to do here. |
| Edogawa |
That
left thing to do is |
Manjyome |
Edogawa!
I will return the title and the seat of the king to
you. |
| Edogawa |
You
said that you would return...Thunder! |
Manjyome |
Principle!
As I said...this may become troublesome. |
| Principle
Sameshima |
Of
course, Manjyome has originally been a student here. |
| Principle Ichinose |
Well, in that case, my...(He is going
to take back his deck from Manjyome) |
Suddenly,
Professor Chronos announces and opens the reward ceremony
after the duel match. The reward is actually Miss Duel Academia
or Tome-San. People are getting shocked when Tome-San getting
dress like a young lady appears on the stage. Professor
Chronos invites the winner Principle Sameshima on the stage
to receive the reward, a kiss, from her. Judai hardly believes
that he had to fight for this reward of his Principle. Meanwhile,
Principle Ichinose is crying and screaming behind. He tells
Manjyome to become stronger and win the game for him next
year. Then, Principle Ichinose runs away and leaves Duel
Academia by the submarine. He has just realized that he
forgot to take his dragon cards from Manjyome and start
crying again. Seeing the principle crying, other North School
students also cry out loud and say good bye to "Manjyome
Thunder!". Daitokuji teacher tells the remaining problem
with Manjyome. Since he has left the school for 3 months,
he can't be promoted to Obelisk Blue. His remaining choice
is to stay in Osiris Red that has no condition with the
number of attendance days. Manjyome certainly starts complaining.
He hasn't expected to stay with Judai, Sho, and Hayato.
Judai tells everybody to celebrate the new entrance of Manjyome
to Osiris Red. All people call out "1, 10, 100, and
Manjyome Thunder!". Anyway, Manjyome still can't imagine
his life as a Judai's friend.
Judai |
We
had to duel for this...!? |

Waaaaa!!!
Manjyome-Kun, become stronger! Next year, please become

Although
we would like to promote...there is no other way but
to enter Osiris Red that has nothing to deal with attendance
days. |
Manjyome |
What!
A guy like me in Osiris Red? Staying with these guys? |
Sho |
We
should say...roommate, shouldn't we? |
Manjyome |
Shut
up! |
Judai |
Nice
to stay with you from now on, roommate! |
Manjyome |
I
refuse! Why do I....with these guys!? |
Judai |
Well,
