In the forest near Duel Academia, Professor Chronoss is
getting furious because Yuki Judai has become the school
representative for the interschool match. He can't accept
this fact and tries to find some wayout. Then, he moves
into the chicken coop as he counts the number in Chiness
(1=i, 2 = er, 3=san, 4=sui). The chicken get frightened
and start attacking his head. Professor Chronos seems to
love his hair so much, trying to protect it. He goes through
a secret entrance to the underground. However, the chicken
keep on attacking his head until he falls down to the secret
way with some chicken. Professor Chronos tries to take out
those chicken from his hand, saying that he isn't a thief
who comes to steal their eggs. He throws the chicken away
and closes the door quickly. He could see how cruel they
were. Anyway, he doesn't have time to take care of them.
Professor
Chronos puts on some strange body suit and enters the inner
room. When the first door is open, there is anoter sealed
door behind. Then, the bridge is moving to link the sealed
door so that Professor Chronos can go across. He says that
he is going to do Judai some favor. Also, he is going to
open a Pandora's box. No matter how fearful the result is,
the final remaining thing is hope. The last thing inside
Pandora's box is always hope. Professor Chronos slides his
card to open the sealed door and calls someone inside to
come out.
At
Duel Academia, Judai is paying attention on contructing
his deck in the interschool match. If he put some cards
in, he has to remove some cards out. Judai gets no answer
and starts having a headache. Then, his friends come closer
to him. Misawa tells Judai to add in his favorite card,
Water Dragon, in his deck. Asuka also tells him to add her
Etoile Cyber, Hayato tries to offer his Des Koala, and Sho
would like to give him his Power Bond. They are trying to
present the advantages of their cards to Judai. Anyway,
Judai becomes more frustrated. He yells out and tells everybody
to shut up and not to interfere. Misawa explains that they
have to do so because this duel is the school match. Thus,
everybody would like to fight with Judai for his and her
school. Judai isn't pleased, asking whether this duel is
actually only for the school. He claims that this is his
own duel, so he would like to have fun with it. Misawa understands
his feeling very well. The duel isn't about dueling for
anyone but for himself. Nevertheless, Misawa asks again
whether Judai doesn't reconsider adding his Water Dragon.
Of course, Sho reoffers his Power Bond, Asuka offers her
Blade Skatcher, and Hayato offers Des Koala. Seemingly,
people don't listen to him and would like to be some parts
of the interschool match by their cards. Judai can't stand
listening, tells people to shut up again, picks up his duel
disk, and runs away quickly. People seem not to let him
go, following him and trying to add their cards into his
deck.
Judai
runs away and goes up to the roof floor of Duel Academia.
He would like to find some place where nobody can interfere
to construct his deck alone. Although he thinks that no
one knows this place, Judai sees a boy hanging around there.
The boy greets Judai and tells him that the weather is pretty
good today. It makes him feel that he doesn't want to do
anything. Then, Hane Kuriboh appears from Judai's deck and
dances around. The boy asks whether cute Hane Kuriboh is
Judai's monster spirit. Judai is certainly getting surprised
by that the boy could see his Hane Kuriboh. The boy also
asks him whether he is Yuki Judai. Judai is amazed again
and asks how the boy knows his name. Then, the boy introduces
himself [Motegi Mokeo]. He
understands that this may be very sudden, but he would like
to duel against Judai. In other words, he would like to
try dueling against someone who can speak to spirits. Judai
notices that Motegi may be a duelist obtaining some special
power. Thinking that this may be an interesting duel, he
accepts Motegi's challenge. At the same time, his friends
have finally found him. They ask what Judai is gonna do
here. Judai tells them that he is going to duel against
Motegi. Meanwhile, Professor Chronos with the strange body
suit is hiding himself on a pole of the roof floor. He has
expected before that Judai would come here, so he let Singore
Motegi wait for him here. His plan is to let Motegi duel
against Judai. Something terrible is gonna happen in this
duel.
The first duel comes with Motegi. He draws a card and summons
Moke Moke in a defense position [Moke
Moke - 1/300/100]. Seeing such a cute Moke Moke monster,
people are very impressed. Then, Hayato feels sleepy suddenly.
Professor Chronos starts smilying and laughing since he
exactly knows what is gonna affect them next. Setting two
face-down cards, Motegi ends his turn.

Human-Wave
Tactics
Trap Card |
It is now Judai's turn. Drawing a card, he summons E-Hero
Sparkman in an attack position [E-Hero
Sparkman - 4/1600/1400]. Moreover, he plays Polymerization
to fuse E-Hero Sparkman and E-Hero Burst Lady on his hand
to E-Hero Flame Wingman [E-Hero Flame
Wingman - 8/2100/1800: This monster can be summoned only
by fusion. When this Monster destroys a Monster as a result
of Battle, do direct damage to your opponent equal to the
attack points of the destroyed monster]. Anyway,
Motegi doesn't feel worried at all. He claps his hand and
is impressed by Judai's great monster. Judai first lets
E-Hero Sparkman attack Moke Moke by Spark Crush. Suddenly,
Motegi opens his face-down permanent trap card, Human-Wave
Tactics [Human-Wave Tactics ~ Jinkai
Senjyuttsu - Permanent Trap: During each End Phase, choose
a number of Level 2 or lower Normal Monsters from your deck
equal to the number of your Level 2 or lower Normal Monsters
that were destroyed and went to the Cemetery as a result
of Battle during this turn, and Special Summon them. Afterward,
shuffle the deck]. Due to its effect, in ending phases
of both sides, Motegi can specially summon a monster with
level 2 or less from his deck that has the same level 2
or less of the destroyed monster in battle in that turn.
However, Judai keeps on his attacking. After E-Hero Sparkman
destroy Moke Moke, Judai lets E-Hero Flame Wingman attack
Motegi directly. Getting the direct strong hit, Motegi's
LP decreases to 1900 (4000-2100). Then, Judai ends his turn.
According to the special of Human-Wave Tactics, in this
Judai's ending phase, Motegi summons Happy Lover specially
in an attack position [Happy Lover
- 2/800/500].

Mokey Mokey Smackdown
Magic Card |
Turn is back to Motegi. He still summons Moke Moke in an
attack mode. At this moment, people are still impressed
by the cute appearance of Moke Moke until Judai gets tired
of their acts. Even Misawa shares this feeling. Asuka says
that she also would like to have one of that card in her
deck. Anyway, Hayato still feels sleepy without reasons.
Then, Motegi plays the continuous magic card, Mokey Mokey Smackdown, and lets Happy Lover attack E-Hero Sparkman immediately
[Mokey Mokey Smackdown ~ Ikareru Moke
Moke - Continuous Magic: When a Moke Moke is face-up on
your Field, if an Angel Sub-Type Monster on your Field is
destroyed, until this turn's End Phase, the attack strength
of Moke Moke on your Field become 3000]. Judai is
getting surprised because his E-Hero Sparkman has much higher
attack points than Happy Lover's. Motegi has already realized
that but he sill confirms his attack. Happy Lover attacks
E-Hero Sparkman by Happy Burning; however, E-Hero Sparkman
counters the attack to Happy Lover. Thus, Happy Lover with
less attack points is destroyed, and Motegi's LP reduces
to 1100 (1900+800-1600). Meanwhile, Moke Moke looks as if
it is freaking out. According to the ability of Mokey Mokey Smackdown, Moke Moke's attack points become 3000 until the
ending phase when an angel-type monster is destroyed in
this turn. Since Happy Lover is destroyed, Moke Moke can
gain this attack points. People applaud and still admire
the cute image and great effect of Moke Moke. Judai is getting
annoyed, asking them directly which side they are with.
Anyway, Misawa answers happily that whoever is fine.

Mysterious
Chinese Pot
Magic Card |
After that, Motegi lets Moke Moke attack E-Hero Flame Wingman,
so Judai's LP goes down to 3100 (4000+2100-3000). Then,
Motegi plays the magic card, Myterious Chinese Pot, from
his hand [Mysterious Chinese Pot ~
Shingi No Chuka Nabe - Instant Magic: Sacrifice 1 Monster
face-up on your Field. Gain Life Points equal to that Monster's
attack or defense strength]. Due to its effect, when
Motegi sacrifices Moke Moke, he can gain his LP equal to
its attack or defense points. Therefore, his LP increases
to 4100 (1100+3000). In his ending phase, he activates the
special ability of the permanent trap, Human-Wave Tactics.
Because Happy Lover is destroyed in this turn, he can summon
a 2 level or less monster from his deck. Thus, he decides
to summon Haniwa in a defense position [Haniwa
- 2/500/500]. At this moment, Misawa tells Judai
to try his best. Asuka adds that the battle isn't good and
suggest him go with peace. Then, everbody cheers up Moke
Moke while Hayato has already slept. Judai is getting confused
and doesn't understand what is going on. Professor Chronos
realizes that the special power of Motegi has already been
activated; it is the special Moke Moke power.

- second period
episode 23 translated by Janime |
|
While
Judai is getting confused by the situation, Professor Chronos
steps down from the pole with his strange body suit. He
explains the special ability, removal power, of Motegi.
Three years ago, Motegi was the number 1 duelist in Duel
Academia. Of course, Judai hardly believes this story. However,
the duel style of Motegi later changed. All of his opponents
seemed to lose their interest in the duel and then left
the school and island. Judai sees that the situation is
similar to what his friends are acing weird now. They seem
to lose their consciousnes, merely saying "Moke Moke".
Even Motegi doesn't understand himself and his power either.
People usually become like this after dueling against him.
As a result, for the school and other duelists, Motegi was
isolated on a separate dorm. Judai feels that that his is
such a cruel act for Motegi. However, Professor Chronos
explains that the place is arranged like a paradise and
best place for him, a solitary island with perfect facilities.
Anyway, Judai is still confused why Motegi has just moved
out and whether he doesn't want to duel. In fact, Motegi
heard Judai's story from Professor Chronos. He assumes that
Judai may be able to hear the voice of spirits or deal with
them as he does. Professor Chronos seems not to understand
what Motegi is talking about the spirits. Motegi tells Judai
that he would like to release his cute spirit from the duel.
They believe that the monsters would become happier.
Looking at Hane Kuriboh, Judai feels sorry
to Motegi. Hane Kuriboh enjoys the way it is in the duel.
Then, Judai starts his turn and continues the game. Drawing
a card, he summons E-Hero Wildman in an attack position
and lets it attack Haniwa at once [E-Hero
Wildman - 4/1500/1600: This Monster cannot be effected by
Trap cards]. Continuously, E-Hero Sparkman attacks
Motegi directly, so his LP reduces to 2500 (4100-1600).
Professor Chronos then moves out and lets the game run.
Setting a face-down card, Judai ends his turn. At the end
phase of Judai's turn, Motegi activates the ability of Human-Wave
Tactics again. He decides to summon Happy Lover specially
in an attack position. At this moment, Professor Chronos
sees something weird. Judai still looks enthusiastic and
active. He seemingly doesn't lose his attention on the duel
as the others do at all. Professor Chronos doesn't get what
this mean and just keep on asking for the reasons.

King Moke
Moke
Monster Card |
It is now Motegi's turn. He draws a card and
plays it, Pot of Greed, to draw additional two cards [Pot
of Greed ~ Kou Yuku Na Tsubo: Draw 2 cards from your deck].
He then plays the magic card, Dark Assembly Line, from his
hand. [Dark Assembly Line ~ Yami No
Ryosan Kousou - Magic: Choose 2 Normal Monsters in your
Cemetery and put them into your hand]. According
to its effect, he can take two monsters in his cemetery
onto his hand. He takes back two Moke Moke, so he now has
3 Moko Moke on his hand. Also, he plays Polymerization to
fuse three Moke Moke to King Moke Moke [King
Moke Moke - 6/300/100: When this card is removed from the
Field, you can Special Summon as many Moke Moke from your
Cemetery as possible]. Motegi declares the attack
of King Moke Moke (300) against E-Hero Wildman (1500); however,
it is countered and destroyed by E-Hero Wildman. At this
moment, Motegi's LP decreases to 1300 (2500+300-1500). Motegi
activates the special ability of King Moke Moke. When King
Moke Moke is destroyed, all Moke Moke from the graveyard
can be summoned specially onto the field. Thus, three Moke
Moke with 300 attack points are returned to the field. Suddenly,
the power of Moke Moke is released. They launch their sound
wave around the area until the glass mask of Professor Chronos's
body suit is broken, and he finally falls down. After that,
Motegi lets Happy Lover attack E-Hero Wildman. Repeatedly,
when Happy Lover is destroyed, the effect of the magic card,
Mokey Mokey Smackdown, is activated. It makes each Moke Moke's
attack points become 3000.
|
Holy Elf's
Blessing
Trap Card |
Motegi lets the first Moke Moke attack E-Hero
Wildman, and the second Moke Moke attack E-Hero Sparkman.
Moke Moke attacks by its sound wave, so E-Hero Wildman is
destroyed. Judai's LP reduces to 1600 (3100+1500-3000).
Meanwhile, Judai opens his face-down trap card, Hero Barrier,
to negate the attack of the second Moke Moke against E-Hero
Sparkman [Hero Barrier - Trap: You
can only activate this card if you have a Elemental Hero
on your Field when your oppponent attacks with a Monster.
That attack is negated]. Anyway, Motegi lets the
third Moke Moke attack E-Hero Sparkman again. When E-Hero
Sparkman is destroyed, Judai's LP reduce significantly to
200 (1600+1600-3000). At the end of Motegi's phase, he summons
Happy Lover back to the field according to the effect of
Human-Wave Tactics. Moreover, he opens his face-down trap
card, Holy Elf's Blessing, to gain 300 LP for each monster
on his field [Holy Elf's Blessing
~ Shukufuku - Trap: Gain 300 Life Points for each Monster
on the Field]. There are 4 monstes on Motegi's field,
3 Moke Moke and 1 Happy Lover, so his LP goes up to 1800
(600+300*4).
Judai feels a bit depressed, but he still
keeps his spirit and continues the game. In this final turn,
he draws a card and summons E-Hero Bubbleman in an attack
position [E-Hero Bubbleman - 4/800/1200:
If this card is the only card in your hand, you can Special
Summon it in attack mode. When this card is successfully
Normal Summoned, Special Summoned, or Reverse Summoned when
it is the only card on your Field, draw 2 cards from your
deck]. At this point, even Motegi and all of this
monsters are also wondering why Judai hasn't lost his attention
to the game yet. Judai replies confidently and actively
that he has no time to lose interest in such an exciting
duel like this. When E-Hero Bubbleman is summoned while
there are no other cards on the field, Judai can draw additional
two cards. After that, he plays the magic card, Hero Heart,
to make E-Hero Bubbleman attack twice in this turn [Hero
Heart - Magic: You can only activate this card when you
have a E-HERO face-up on your Field. Half that Monster's
attack strength, that Monster can attack two times during
this turns Battle Phase]. However, its attack points
will be halved, or E-Hero Bubbleman attack points become
400 (800/2). Judai lets E-Hero Bubbleman attack Moke Moke.
Motegi doesn't understand why Judai attacked since he should
have expected that Moke Moke would gain 3000 attack points
from the effect of Mokey Mokey Smackdown. As Motegi said, the
other two Moke Moke's attack points finally become 3000
when the first Moke Moke is destroyed. At this moment, Motegi's
LP reduces to 1700 (1800+300-400).
|
Bubble Illusion
Magic Card |
After that, Judai declares the second attack
of E-Hero Bubbleman against the second Moke Moke while he
activates the magic card, Bubble Illusion, that allows him
to play a trap card from his hand [Bubble
Illusion - Instant Magic: You can only activate this card
if you have a E-HERO Bubbleman face-up on your Field. You
can activate 1 Trap card from your hand]. As a result,
Judai activates the trap card, Dimensional Tunnel Mirror
Gate, to change the control of his monster and a monster
of the opponent field [ Dimensional
Tunnel Mirror Gate ~ Ichigen Tunnel Mirror Gate - Trap:
You can only activate this card if you have a Monster on
the Field. During this turn's Battle Phase, change control
of 1 Monster on you and your opponent's Field]. Judai,
therefore, takes control Moke Moke as E-Hero Bubbleman becomes
Motegi's monster. E-Hero Bubbleman is still during its attacking,
so it attacks Moke Moke (3000) on Judai's field. Motegi's
LP finally decreases to 0 (1700+400-3000).
Judai
walks closer to Motegi and says that he really enjoys the
duel as usual, and Motegi wasn't bad at all. Motegi tells
him that he pushed himself too much, so he feels very sleepy
now. Saying good night to Judai, Motegi falls down on the
floor and sleeps. Currently, Judai has just noticed that
everybody is sleeping, yelling out loud. Of course, Professor
Chronos' plan to destroy Judai's interest in the duel fails.
