The
duel between Kagurazaka and Judai is continued. At this
moment, Judai has 1300 LP left while Kagurazaka has full
4000 LP. Sho is getting very worried since Judai's S card,
major card - E-Hero Edgeman, was already destroyed. Considering
carefully how the situation becomes more tough, Misawa sees
that Kagurazaka has the great monster of Dark Magician of
Chaos with 2800 attack points on his field. Also, he hasn't
got any damage against his LP yet. Meanwhile, Judai feels
that his opponent looks like real Mutou Yugi. He sees the
shadow of the duel king behind Kagurazaka. However, he is
getting more excited if he is really dueling against the
duel king.
|
Super Junior Showdown!
Trap Card |
Drawing a card, he gets Hane Kuriboh. Judai feels that
Hane Kuriboh looks happy to duel against Yugi's deck too.
He summons [Hane Kuriboh 1/300/200]
in a defense position, sets up a faced-down card, and ends
his turn. Turn comes back to Kagurazaka. Seeing Judai summon
Hane Kuriboh, Kagurazaka summons [Kuriboh
1/300/200] in an attack mode. He first lets Dark
Magician of Chaos attack E-Hero Burst Lady. Suddenly, Judai
opens his reversed trap card [Super Junior Showdown! - Super Junior Taigetsu]. This
card can be activated only if the opponent attacks. The
attack will become invalid, and the battle phase of the
opponent will be ended immediately. Moreover, the monster
with the lowest attack points on the opponent's field will
attack the monster with the lowest defense points on the
player's field. In other words, this is the battle between
Hane Kuriboh and Kuriboh. Eventually, Kuriboh with 300 attack
points destroys Hane Kuriboh with 200 defense points. Setting
a reversed card, Kagurazaka ends his turn.
Next, Judai draws a card and plays [Pot
of Greed - Kou Yuku Na Tsubo] to draw additional
two cards. Then, he summons [E-Hero
Bubbleman 4/800/1200] in an attack position and plays
the field magic card [Skycraper].
Many buildings appear around the fields. Due to the effect
of this magic card, the attack points of all E-Hero monsters
increase by 1000 points while the monsters are fighting
against monsters with higher attack points. After that,
Judai plays an equipment magic card [Bubble
Shot] with E-Hero Bubbleman. This card can increase
the attack points of E-Hero Bubbleman by 800 points. Thus,
E-Hero Bubbleman's attack points become 1600 (800+800).
Judai declares the attack of E-Hero Bubbleman against Kuriboh
at once (E-Hero Bubbleman has more basis attack points than
Kuriboh, so the ability of the field magic - Skycraper -
doesn't affect it. In other words, E-Hero Bubbleman's attack
points don't increase by the effect of Skycraper). Sho is
getting very excited. If this strike succeeds, the strong
damage will deal to Kagurazaka. However, Kagurazaka has
already prepared for this strike. He suddenly opens his
reversed magic card [Multiply - Soushoku].
According to its effect, Kagurazaka can sacrifice Kuriboh
and summon [Kuriboh Token 1/300/200]
equal to the number of the emply slots in a defense position.
However, this Kuriboh can't be used for sacrification. Kagurazaka
has only Dark Magician of Chaos on his field, so he sacrifices
Kuriboh and summons four Kuriboh tokens on the remaining
slots (5 slots in total). As a result, the attack of E-Hero
Bubbleman destroys only one Kuriboh in the defense position;
Kagurazaka doesn't lose his LP anyway. Setting a reversed
card, Judai ends his turn.
|
Dark Magician
Girl
Monster Card |
Misawa is very amazed by the great strength of Mutou Yugi's
deck that contains such a perfect balance. Also, Kagurazaka
is using proper and good tactics of this deck. Turn is back
to Kagurazaka. Drawing a card, he plays a magic card [Card of Sanctity - Ten Yori No Housatsu] that allows both
players to draw until they have six cards on their hands.
Then, Kagurazaka activates the special ability of Watapon
[1/200/300]. When he obtains
this card on hand due to the effect of any spell/trap/monster
card, he can summon it specially onto the field. Since Kagurazaka
gets Watapon from the ability of Card of Sanctity, he
is allowed to summon it specially onto the field. Afterward,
he sacrifices it to summon [Dark Magician
girl - Black Magician Girl 6/2000/1700] in an attack
position (This is the normal summon). Dark Magician Girl
can gain additionial 300 attack points for every Dark Magician
in the graveyard. Kagurazaka has Dark Magician in his cemetery;
as a result, Dark Magician Girl's total attack points become
2300 (2000+300). Sho seems to be very attracted by cute
characteristic of Dark Magician Girl although he knows that
he would like Judai to win. By the way, Kagurazaka lets
Dark Magician of Chaos attack E-Hero Bubbleman at once.
However, E-Hero Bubbleman isn't destroyed due to the ability
of its equipment magic, Bubble Shot; this magic card will
be destroyed to prevent the monster and damage to the player.
Without Bubble Shot, E-Hero Bubbleman's attack points go
down to 800 (1600-800) as normal. Furthermore, Kagurazaka
declares the attack of Dark Magician Girl against E-Hero
Bubbleman again. Due to the effect of Skycraper, facing
a monster with greater attack points - Dark Magician Girl
(2300), E-Hero Bubbleman's attack points can increase by
1000 point. Therefore, the current attack points of E-Hero
Bubbleman become 1800 (800+1000). Getting such the great
hit, Judai's LP goes down to 800 (1300+1800-2300).
Anyway, Misawa sees that Judai has some LP left. Of course,
Judai seems not to give up yet. Come to his turn. He plays
[Polymerization - Yuukou] to fuse [E-Hero
Burst Lady 3/1200/800] with [E-Hero
Featherman 3/1000/1000] into [E-Hero
Flame Wingman 3/2100/800] in an attack position (This
is fusion summon). Furthermore, he plays another magic card
[The Warrior Returning Alive - Senshi
No Seikan] that allows Judai to place a warrior-type
monster from his graveyard onto his hand. Therefore, he
takes back [E-Hero Sparkman 4/1600/1400]
onto his hand and summons it onto the field (This is normal
summon). According to the effect Skycraper, when E-Hero
Flame Wingman (2100) faces against Dark Magician of Chaos
with higher attack points (2800), its attack points increase
by 1000. In total, the attack points become 3100 (2100+1000).
People are very glad since now Judai's monster obtains higher
attack points than Dark Magician of Chaos (2800). Judai
declares the attack of E-Hero Flame Wingman against Dark
Magician of Chaos at once. Therefore, Dark Magician of Chaos
is destroyed, and Kugurazaka's LP first goes down to 3700
(4000+2800-3100). Due to the special effect of E-Hero Flame
Wingman, it can deal damages equal to the destroyed monster
directly to the opponent. As a result, Kagurazaka's LP further
goes down to 900 (3700-2800).
Misawa hardly believes that Judai could did such a great
job. In fact, Judai has no powerful monster while his deck
is based merely on fusion technique. However, Judai can
play against Mutou Yugi's perfect deck very well and fill
out those drawbacks completely. By the way, Judai declares
the attack of E-Hero Sparkman against a Kuriboh token. Also
setting two reversed cards, he plays a magic card [Emergency
Provisions - Hijyoo Shoku] that can increase his
LP by 1000 points for each magic card sent to his cemetery.
Therefore, he sends one reversed card to his graveyard,
and his LP becomes 1800 (800+100). Then, Judai ends his
turn. At this moment, Judai is feeling that he is really
dueling against real Mutou Yugi not Kagurazaka. Sho is also
getting excited by the game. One more turn to go, Sho is
certain that Judai will win.
Turn comes back to Kagurazaka. Drawing a card, he sets
up Dark Magician Girl into a defense position. After that,
he plays a magic card [Spider Web
- Kumo No Ito] that allow him to take a card sent
to the opponent's graveyard in the previous turn onto his
hand. Of course, Kagurazaka selects Emergency Provisions
from Judai's graveyard. Setting two reversed cards, he plays
a magic card [Monster Reincarnation - Shisha Tensei].
Sending a card into his cemetery, he can add a monster from
graveyard onto his hand. In the whole, Kagurazaka sends
his two reversed cards and Monster Reincarnation into the cemetery to
gain LP due to Emergency Provisions, so his LP becomes 3900
(900+1000*3). Also, he gets back Kuriboh from his graveyard
onto his hand due to Monster Reincarnation. Afterward, he ends his turn.
Sho cheers Judai actively since his chance is coming this
turn. Drawing a card, Judai declares the attack of E-Hero
Flame Wingman against defending Dark Magician Girl. Although
there is no battle damage, Kagurazaka has to receive direct
damage of 2300 points from Dark Magician Girl according
to the effect of E-Hero Flame Wingman. As a result, his
LP goes down to 1600 (3900-2300). In addition, Judai plays
[De-Fusion - Yuukou Kaijyo],
so E-Hero Flame Wingman is divided into E-Hero Burst Lady
and E-Hero Featherman normally. Judai intends to destroy
the remaining two of Kuriboh tokens in this turn by E-Hero
Featherman and E-Hero Burst Lady. People are glad by Judai's
great play since Kagurazaka's filed has already been wiped
out totally. Anyway, Judai still has the last attack of
E-Hero Sparkman. Kagurazaka has only 1600 LP left. If he
is attacked by E-Hero Sparkman with 1600 attack points,
he will be finally defeated. Everybody is certain that Judai
is gonna win this time. Certainly, Judai declares the attack
of E-Hero Sparkman against Kagurazaka directly. |

Judai
declares that attack of E-Hero Sparkman (1600) against Kagurazaka
(1600) directly. Anyway, Kagurazaka plays the special ability
of Kuriboh. When he sends into the graveyard during the
opponent's attacking, the battle damage will become 0. Kagurazaka
asked whether Judai has already forgotten that he took back
Kuriboh from the ability of Monster Reincarnation in the previous turn.
Judai accepts that he has forgotten about that completely.
Then, Kagurazaka thanks Kuriboh for its help. He really
picked up the right choice to get Kuriboh back from the
graveyard. Also, he tells Kuriboh that he won't waste this
chance that Kuriboh gave him. However, Sho doesn't think
that Kagurazaka shouldn't have said those words on the stolen
deck; he isn't the real owner of the deck. Hayato thinks
that Kagurazaka has probably imagined that he is real Mutou
Yugi.

Black Luster
Soldier/Chaos Soldier
Monster Card |
Turn comes back to Kagurazaka. Drawing a card,
Kagurazaka is gonna to show the real power of this deck
again. Then, he declares to remove one light monster and
one dark monster from the game to summon a special monster.
People are all amazed by this special summon, wondering
what kind of the monster is gonna be. Misawa has just realized
that there is some group of monsters with this special-summon
ability. One of them is [Chaos Emperor
Dragon - Shuushin No Shisha - Kaiba plays this card
in KC Grand Prix, epsiode
195]. Another monster is now on Kagurazaka's
hand. Thus, he summons it onto the field by removing Kuriboh
(Dark) and Watapon (Light) from his graveyard out off the
game. That monster is [Black Luster
Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning - Chaos Soldier Kaibyoku
No Shisha 8/3000/2500]. Kagurazaka lets Judai prepare
for the extreme attack of the greatest warrior in Duel Monster.
He declares that attack of Black Luster Soldier against
E-Hero Featherman at once. Facing against Black Luster Soldier,
E-Hero Featherman gains 1000 attack points due to the effect
of Skycrapter. Therefore, its attack points become 2000
(1000+1000). When it is destroyed, Judai's LP goes down
to 800 (1800+2000-3000). At this moment, Kagurazaka activates
another ability of Black Luster Soldier; if this card destroys
an opponent's monster as a result of battle, it can attack
one more time. Misawa is getting worried since Judai will
be defeated by this second attack. Kagurazaka declares that
attack of Black Luster Soldier against E-Hero Burst Lady
at once. Meanwhile, Judai opens his reversed trap card [Hero
Spirit]. This card can be activated only if an E-Hero
monster is destroyed; any damage is reduced to 0 in this
turn. As a result, since E-Hero Featherman was destroyed
previously, Judai is safe and receives no damage by the
second attack of Black Luster Soldier. Then, Kagurazaka
ends his turn.
Although
Judai could survive the twice attacks of the great monster,
the situation remains the same. He is getting depressed,
seeing Mutou Yugi shadow behind Black Luster Soldier. No
matter how hard he tries, he can't beat the duel king at
all. While Judai starts losing his fighting spirit, his
duel disk begins to glow. The spirit of Hane Kuriboh appears
to cheer him up. However, Judai apologizes it since his
cards may be totally useless now. He doesn't think that
he can defeat Yugi's deck at all. Anyway, Hane Kuriboh is
trying to let Judai understand the truth. It points Judai
to look at his opponent carefully. Whatever Judai has seen
is just his own imagination of Mutou Yugi. His real opponent
isn't Yugi but actually Kagurazaka. Judai has just realized
everything. In fact, there is something that he has but
Kagurazaka doesn't have. That is what Hane Kuriboh would
like to remind Judai of. Thanking Hane Kuriboh, Judai intends
that he will believe in his deck and continue fighting until
the end.
|
E-Hero Flame
Wingman
Monster Card |
Gaining his fighting spirit back, Judai draws
a card in his final turn. He finally gets the key card to
win this game, playing the magic card [Silent Dead - Muku Suru Shisha]. By its effect, it allows
Judai to summon a monster from his graveyard onto the field
in a defense position. Therefore, Judai regenerates E-Hero
Featherman onto the field in a defense mode. After that,
he plays another magic card [Double
Magic]. Discarding a magic card from his hand, he
can activate a card from the opponent's cemetery. Therefore,
Judai selects to play Polymerization from Kagurazaka's graveyard.
Absolutely, he fues E-Hero Burst Lady with E-Hero Featherman
to summon E-Hero Flame Wingman again. Facing against Black
Luster Soldier (3000), E-Hero Flame Wingman (2100) can gain
1000 attack points due to the ability of Skycraper. As a
result, its total attack points become 3100 (2100+1000).
Judai declares the attack of E-Hero Flame Wingman against
Black Luster Soldier immediately. Therefore, Black Luster
Soldier is destroyed, and Kagurazaka's LP goes down to 1500
(1600+3000-3100). While getting shocked by that his Black
Luster Soldier is destroyed, Kagurazaka gets further direct
damages from the special ability of E-Hero Flame Wingman;
the 3000 attack points of Black Luster Soldier deal directly
to Kagurazaka. Consequently, his LP is totally gone (0=1500-3000),
and he is finally defeated.
Judai
is very happy by his great victory. Kagurazaka is getting
very upset. Despite the most powerful deck, he still couldn't
win. Also, he always blames himself that he has no talent
at all. Then, Kaiser Ryo appears with Asuka, disagreeing
what Kagurazaka is thinking. Judai is wondering why Asuka
and Kaiser are here. In fact, Asuka and Kaiser think about
the same thing as Judai and the others did. They would like
to see Yugi's deck tonight. However, when they went into
the exhibition hall, the glass case had been broken, and
the deck had been gone. While they were looking for it,
they found people here. Also, they would like to stop the
duel; however, they prefered to see and learn from it. Kaiser
tells Judai that not only him or Asuka was watching the
duel, but also many students were doing the same thing.
Looking around, Judai sees many students surrounding and
admiring the duel. Instead of getting angry, everybody was
very impressed by the duel because Kagurazaka showed him
great power of the potential deck. People could learn a
lot from this duel. However, Kagurazaka claims that he was
sill defeated. Judai tells him that the answer is very simple;
Kagurazaka lacks something, but Judai has it. Seemingly,
Kagurazaka doesn't what it means. Judai has no idea how
to explain. He just understands that the original idea of
the deck doesn't actually belong to Kagurazaka, so he could
win the duel. Kaiser further clearifies that people generally
put their effort to create their own decks and believe in
them from the bottom of their hearts. This belief creates
the spirits influencing the victory or defeat in the game.
If Mutou Yugi had played this duel by himself, Judai might
have been defeated by the pressure. Judai strongly agrees
to Kaiser's words. He mentions that only Mutou Yugi can
draw out the real power of the deck. When Kagurazaka has
understood everything, Judai asks him return the deck as
promise.
Judai |
I
won! What a nice duel! |
| Kagurazaka |
I was defeated. Despite using the strong deck, I still
couldn't win. I really have no talent. |
Kaiser
Ryo |
No,
it isn't just like that. |
| Kagurazaka |
Kaiser? |
Sho |
Brother |
Judai |
Asuka,
why are you here? |
Kaiser
Ryo |
We
would like to see the deck faster tonight, too. |
Asuka |
When
we went into the exhibition hall, the glass case had
already been broken, and the deck had gone. While
we were searching for it, we found you. |
Kaiser
Ryo |
We
thought to stop the duel. However, we might have felt
regret if he had stopped the duel. |
Misawa |
You
can say that again! |
Judai |
Ouu!
You let me duel desparately alone. |
Kaiser
Ryo |
In
fact, people who were watching you aren't merely us.
|
Hayato |
Really! |
| Ra
Yellow Student 1 |
No,
it is such a wonderful duel. |
| Ra
Yellow Student 2 |
We
had such a good learning from seeing the match. |
| Kagurazaka |
Everybody |
Kaiser
Ryo |
In
fact, we can't forgive the behavior that holding other
people's decks selfishly. However, you showed everyone
the real power of Mutou's Yugi deck in the battle.
Everyone would like to try and estimate how it is
gonna be. |
| Kagurazaka |
But I was still defeated...why? |
Judai |
That
answer is very simple...that is something that you
don't have but I have. |
| Kagurazaka |
Something that I don't have...? |
Judai |
That
is belief in your deck. |
| Kagurazaka |
Belieft in the deck? |
Judai |
Although
that deck was pretty strong, the idea of the deck
didn't belong to you. That is why you couldn't win
the duel. Um...what should I say....? |
Kaiser
Ryo |
Putting
your attempt and your time to create your deck, you
are able to believe in the deck from the bottom of
your heart. That belief in the spirit of duelist influences
the victory and defeat in the last battle. In this
duel, if Mutou Yugi had played in this game by himself,
Judai might have been defeated due to pressure. |
Judai |
That's
right. Nobody rather than Yugi-San can draw out the
real power of that deck. As you promised, take back
the deck. |
| Kagurazaka |
Of course |
At
the following day, the exhibition hall displays Mutou Yugi's
deck as schedule. Hayato and Judai are glad to see that
the deck was returned safely while people look very happy
to the exhibition. Anyway, Hayato asks what Judai is holding.
Judai shows it to him; it is a poster of the duel king,
little Yugi. Judai got it from Tome-San and intends to post
it on the wall in his room. Then, Sho runs into the exhibition,
telling Judai that there is the copy of Judai appearing.
Therefore, Judai, Hayato, and Sho run to see who is acting
like this. Judai is getting shocked when he sees Kagurazaka
getting dressed and making himself up like Judai's characteristics.
He asks what Kagurazaka is intending to do. Kagurazaka replies
that he has just realized why he couldn't believe in a deck.
The reason is that his personality imitation isn't perfect
enough. Judai is getting tired since Kagurazaka seems not
to understand anything at all. At this point, he is also
copying Judai's deck, and he seems to have the same body
and heart as Judai. In other words, he is very certain that
he can be real Yuki Judai. Thus, he would like to test which
side will be stronger, challenging Judai for another duel.
Judai can't stand seeing that act anymore, telling him to
stop since everything Kagurazaka is acting is totally different.
Kagurazaka is acting following Judai's normal habit; however,
he doesn't understand how he is acting differently. Therefore,
Judai has to set up his real acts for Kagurazaka and guide
the correct posters to him: especially the forward-pointing
poster that Judai always acts after winning the game. Then,
Kagurazaka calls up the name of Asuka-Chan, so Judai is
getting shy. He tries to deny that he doesn't say that word
after the game. Meanwhile, Hayato and Sho are getting tired
of the guys' weird acts.
to be continued... |
