episode 162 summarized by Janime

At the school duel arena, Kenzan is announcing the final round of the pairduel tournament to the audiences. He introduces the two pairs going to this round. The first is his pair with Rei as a partner. Another is supposed to be the strongest pair of the third grade: the pair between Judai and Asuka. While everybody is applauding to both pairs, Manjyome sitting with Sho begins to complain that he should originally make a pair with Asuka and stand on the stage with her now. Sho also says similar things that he would have made a pair with Asuka if Manjyome hadn't been in his way.

Manjyome gets mad, turning to Sho quickly and asking whether Sho has any problem. Sho isn't scared of him, asking back whether Manjyome really wants to have a fight. Meanwhile, he notices Principal Samejima having some tea and sitting with Tome on the other side. Tome is getting excited to the coming duel of Asuka and Judai. Principal Samejima admire them that they deserve to be the pair which could break down his and Tome's strong pair.

On the duel stage, Judai is shaking his hand with Kenzan's. Kenzan greets him that they haven't dueled for a long time (Their first and last duel is in episode 55). Judai smiles and tells him not to take it easy for both sides. Anyway, Asuka still looks worried by Judai's duel behavior that he still wants to act alone and ignores his partner. Rei calls Asuka, tells her that she won't be defeated, and hands over to shake Asuka's hand. Asuka tries to smile before telling her to have a good duel together. At this point, Rei is smiling evilly as if she has an unusual plan in this pair duel.

Kenzan Now~ Boys and Girls!, Pairduel tournament has come to the end. There's only final round left. And so, the people who've come up here are my pair, Tyranno Kenzan and Rei Saotome! And the strongest pair of the third grade! Big Brother Yuki Judai and Tenjoin Asuka senpai!
Manjyome

Dam it! Originally, I should make e a pair with Tenjoin-Kun and stand over there.

Sho Really... only if Manjyome-kun hadn't interrupted...
Manjyome What, you!!
Sho Do you want to fight!? Uh?
Tome Principal, Judai's and Asuka's pair is going to fight.
Principal Samejima Indeed, they deserve to be the ones who broke down my and Tome-San's strong pair.
Kenzan Duel with Big Brother. It has been a ling time.
Judai Ah! Let's not go easy on each other.
Rei Asuka-senpai~ I certainly will not lose.
Asuka Ye.. yes. Let's have a good duel together.
Rei Hi Hi~

All students including Junko and Momoe are cheering both pairs loudly. On the duel stage, Judai is setting a deck into his duel disk. Asuka turns to talk to him directly that she has seen Judai have less fun in a duel than before. Judai doubts why Asuka asks this suddenly. Asuka tells him that she feels that Judai doesn't have peace in his mind and just rushes things into a duel. In other words, he thinks only about a duel. Judai looks uncertain and doesn't answer her question, merely looking to the other pair.

Kenzan is exercising and warming up for the duel while Rei is kneeing down. He asks what she is doing. Rei smiles and replies that she is adjusting her deck a bit. Her response makes Kenzan even confused. He then turns to the front and declares to open the final round of the pairduel. Standing by their duel disks, all four start the duel together.

Blue Boy Kenzan! Rei-chan! Cheer up!
Yellow Boy Don't take it easy just because they're older than you!
Junko Asuka-san! Cheer up!
Momoe Crush down junior students!
Asuka Just a moment, Judai.
Judai Huh?
Asuka Dueling is less fun to you than before, isn't it?
Judai What... of all sudden.
Asuka Say...I feel that you don't have peace in your mind and just rush things into a duel.
Kenzan Rei-Chan, What are you doing?
Rei I'm adjusting my deck a bit.
Kenzan Now!! The final round of Pairduel! Start!
Everybody Duel!

The first turn is with Asuka's pair and turn. Drawing a card, she gets Cyber Tu Tu. The cards on the other hand are Ritual of Machine Angel, Etoile Cyber, Cyber Prima, Doble Passe, and Prima Light. Asuka decides to summon [Cyber Tu Tu - 3/1000/800: If your opponent has face-up monsters with an ATK higher than the ATK of this card, this card can attack your opponent's Life Points directly] onto the field in attack position. Setting up a face-down card, she ends her turn. The face-down card is actually Prima Light. Asuka plans to use it to special summon Cyber Prima with higher attack points at good timing. She has already had Cyber Prima in her hand, so the condition of Prima Light is satisfied.

Stray Lambs
Spell Card

The turn is with Rei's pair and her turn. Once she draws a card, Asuka smiles and hopes that Rei will attack Cyber Tu Tu by a monster quickly so that she can activate Prima Light. Unexpectedly, Rei plays spell card [Stray Lambs ~ Mayoeru Kohitsuji - : If you activate this card, you cannot Normal Summon, Flip Summon or Special Summon for this turn. Special Summon 2 Stray Lamb Token (Beast-Type/Earth/1 Star/ATK 0/DEF 0) to the field in Defense Position] instead of summoning a monster. This spell card allows her to special summon two Stray Lamb Tokens onto the field in defense position.

Asuka sees that Rei didn't summon a monster even if she could do so. This seems to be the only time for her to use Prima Light to summon Cyber Prima because she doesn't think that Judai is going to play teamwork to use her face-down card anyway. Rei then asks Asuka directly whether she now has some conflict or argument with Judai. Asuka is surprised and asks why Rei's asking so. Rei explains that she hasn't seen good spirit from teamwork in Judai's and Asuka's duel at all.

Rei may be right but Asuka claims that this isn't related to her. Rei isn't relatively sure that she isn't related. She offers her plan to Asuka to try something for the good answer. Asuka doubts what Rei wants to let her try. Rei doesn't answer but sets up a face-down card and ends her turn. Asuka has just realized that she has already lost good timing to activate Prima Light.

Seeing Rei chuckling, Kenzan asks what she is planning to do. Rei tells him that she just has an idea. Meanwhile, Judai is thinking about what Asuka said previously. She is right that he hasn't had room in his mind to enjoy a duel since he had life-or-death duels until now. Asuka doesn't see Judai pay attention. Thus, she calls him for his turn and walks pass him, looking mad.

As Judai is stepping up to the controller, Asuka isn't sure whether her Cyber Tu Tu will be safe until her next turn (Judai may use her monster for his own sake again). Judai gives a smile to Rei and says that he won't take it easy on her. Rei has a big smile on her face, responding to Judai that she has waited for this time. At this moment, Kenzan and Sho have realized that Rei changes her saying way by calling herself "Atashi" not "Boku". Manjyome thinks that she may change her words only in front of Judai.

Note: "Atashi" and "Boku" have the same meaning in English. They represent "I". However, "Atashi" is more formal than "Boku". Rei calls herself "Boku" in front of Asuka or everybody, but says "Atashi" in front of Judai. This means that she gives respect to Judai more than anyone. In Japanese, level of language is very important. The way people use appropriate words with their juniors/seniors can tell how much respect they have with those people.

Asuka (Then now is the only chance to summon Cyber Prima. Judai won't use it anyway.)
Rei Asuka-Senpai, do you have a conflict with Judai-Senpai?
Asuka Eh... Why are you saying that of all sudden?
Rei

I mean I don't see good spirit in Senpai's duel even a bit.

Asuka It isn't your business, is it?
Rei Maybe it or may be not ~ If you want to find out, would you like to try?
Asuka Try what?
Rei I put one face-down card and turn end~
Asuka (Wait!! I have missed the timing to activate Prima Light!)
Kenzan Rei-Chan. What are you planning to do?
Rei I just have an idea.
Kenzan Huh?
Judai (No peace in mind... Certainly, I have had life-bet duels until now, so there was no time for me to have fun).
Asuka Just a moment, Judai. Are you watching properly? It's your turn.
Judai Ah... yes.
Asuka (I wonder if he'll leave Cyber Tu Tu on field safely until my next turn?)
Judai All right Rei. I won't take it easy on you.
Rei Yes~ I have waited for this time.
Kenzan Uh?
Sho

Rei-Chan, she have used 'I' until a moment.

Manjyome She seems to change pronounces in front of Judai, doesn't she?

It's now Judai's turn. He draws a card and plays [Tag Request - Spell: Target 1 monster on your side of the field and activate this card. Special Summon 1 monster in your hand with E-Hero in its name with the same attack power as that monster] that allows him to special summon a monster with the same attack points as one of the monster on the field. Cyber Tu Tu has 1000 attack points, so Judai can special summon [E-Hero Featherman - 4/1000/1000] onto the field in attack position.

Asuka looks happy to that Judai has played with her monster by the first time. Nevertheless, she becomes surprised shortly after seeing Judai sacrificing E-Hero Featherman and her Cyber Tu Tu to summon [E-Hero Edgeman - 7/2600/1800: If this card attacks with an ATK higher than the DEF of your opponent's Defense Position monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life Points] onto the field in attack position.

Next, Judai plays [Hero Heart - Spell: Select 1 face-up monster on your side of the field that includes E-Hero in its card name to activate this card. This turn, the ATK of the selected monster is halved and it can attack twice during the same Battle Phase]. According to its effect, the attack points of E-Hero Edgeman are halved in order to do twice attacks in this turn. They decrease to 1300 (2600/2). Kenzan thinks that this is bad. Two Stray Lamb Tokens may be all crushed down.

Judai explains that E-Hero Edgeman can also inflict damages equal to differences to the opponent. He declares its attack to destroy two Stray Lamb Tokens immediately. Manjyome comments that Judai is playing like a demon without mercy. Even Tome thinks that Judai is cruel. Principal Samejma tries to explain that this is what a duel is.

Two Stray Lamb Tokens are destroyed by E-Hero Edgeman, and LP of Rei's team decreases to 1400 (4000-1300*2). Rei is knocked out onto the floor due to the large strike. Kenzan doubts whether she is okey. Rei tries to get up and says that she is okey. She smiles and tells Judai that it's just a wonderful duel. Seeing Rei claiming for a fun duel, Judai seems able to remind himself of such a feeling that he has lost for a long time. While he is smiling and thinking about it, Asuka interrupts him.

Asuka is at her limit, telling him to stop doing this. She was just a fool to think at the first place that Judai complied to cooperate with her. Judai doesn't understand why Asuka is getting mad. He thinks that he has used her monster pretty well. Asuka says that he used it in the wrong way, telling him to think about people's feeling. At this moment, Rei smiles as if both of them are moving into her plan.

Partner Change
Trap Card

Asuka tells Judai that he just does everything by himself as if it means nothing to have her in a duel or not. Meanwhile, Rei opens her face-down trap card [Partner Change - Permanent Trap: If your opponent's partner agrees, you can change positions with the opponent's partner. If this card is destroyed, partners switch to their original positions]. It's what she has planned. Rei explains that it's an exclusive card for a tag duel. According to its effect, both sides can agree to change a partner.

Rei has waited for this moment when Judai and Asuka have a quarrel so that Asuka can agree to change a partner for both teams. Kenzan doubts whether Rei placed this trap card in her deck (It should be short before the duel. Rei was kneeing and adjusting her deck by adding this card in).

By now, Rei has realized that Asuka doesn't want to make a pair with Judai. She asks whether she isn't interested in changing a partner. Asuka certainly agrees to Rei's offer. She doesn't want to make a pair with Judai anymore. Thus, Asuka and Rei are changing their teams. Rei runs excitedly to Judai's side and thanks Asuka for this chance. All audiences seem confused by this change and don't understand what's going on. Principal Samejima and Tome think that this should be interesting and fun.

With Rei standing by on his side, Judai ends his turn. The attack points of E-Hero Edgeman turn back to its original 2600 attack points after Tag Request's used. Rei tells Judai at this point that she will do her best for him. Judai smiles and cheers her up. His act obviously annoys Asuka watching on the other side. She looks very angry while Kenzan seems scared of her.

Asuka understands that Judai really doesn't want to make a pair with her since he looks much happy with Rei now. Judai is afraid that it isn't what Asuka is thinking. Asuka doesn't care before stepping back and changing the turn to Kenzan. Kenzan looks disappointed to that his duel concept for the third-grade and lower-grade students has already been turned down. Asuka reminds Kenzan by her angry sound that he should attack the other team until they can't stand up. Kenzan feels scared of Asuka very much. He thinks that if he makes it down, he will have no life left.

Judai Power Edge Attack!
Manjyome 0 defense point with breakthrough damage... He's a demon. Judai is.
Sho Agreed.
Tome Judai-chan. He's too harsh~
Principal Samejima Well, that's what duel is.
Kenzan Rei-Chan, are you all right?
Rei I'm all right, I'm all right. It's such a fun duel, Judai-Sama~
Judai (Fun duel eh... Thinking about it, I miss that word so mu...)
Asuka Judai!
Judai Uh?
Asuka Can you quit doing it?
Judai A...Asuka?
Asuka I thought you finally decided to cooperate, but I was a fool to think so.
Judai What? I used your monster well, didn't I?
Asuka You've used it in a wrong way! Consider how the a person should feel! You do all by yourself. It won't make difference whether I'm here or not anyway!
Rei I activate permanent trap! [Partner Change]! This card allows us to change partners on condition that the other pair agrees. It's an exclusive card for a tag duel.
Kenzan Rei-Chan, When did you put that in?
Rei Asuka-Senpai~ You don't want to make a pair with Judai-Sama, right? Then, would you like to change a partner?
Asuka Fine, I don't want to make a pair of guy like him~
Rei Asuka-Senpai~ Thank you~
Manjyome Change a partner?
Sho What's going on?
Principal Samejima Oh~
Tome Something fun is going on.
Judai Anyway, I end my turn.
Rei Judai-Sama~ I will become your strength with all my might~
Judai Yes. Let's cheer up.
Asuka Seems that you're happy not to make a pair with me, right?
Judai Uh? It isn't like that.
Asuka Hmph. Now, Kenzan-Kun. Change!
Kenzan All right. The concept of third-grade and lower-grade students is ruined.
Asuka Keep this in mind. Attack those two until they are unable to stand up!
Kenzan Asuka-senpai... scary.
Asuka What did you say?!
Kenzan Nothing! (If I don't win here, my life will be at risk...)

The turn is now with Kenzan. He draws a card and gets Ultra Evolution Pill - Revised Formula. The cards on the other hand are Archaeopteryx, Dark Tyranno, Jurassic World, Great Evolution Pill, and Survival Instinct. He decides to summon [Archaeopteryx ~ Shisouchou Archaeopteryx - 3/300/1300: This card can attack your opponent's Life Points direct, even if he/she has monsters on his/her side of the field] onto the field in attack position.

Next, Kenzan plays [Ultra Evolution Pill - Revised Formula ~ Chousinkayaku Kai - Spell: Tribute 1 Winged-Beast-Type monster on your side of the field in order to Special Summon 1 Dinosaur-Type monster from your hand]. Due to its effect, he can sacrifice Archaeopteryx on the field to special summon [Dark Tyranno - 7/2600/1800: If the only cards on your opponent's Monster Card Zones are Defense Position Monster Cards, this card can attack your opponent's Life Points directly] from his hand onto the field in attack position.

After that, Kenzan activates the special effect of [Killersaurus - 4/1800/1100: You can discard this card from your hand to add 1 Jurassic World from your Deck to your hand], sending it from his hand into the cemetery in order to get Jurassic World from his deck onto his hand.

Note: This seems to be a mistake on the animation. In anime, it shows clearly that Kenzan has Jurassic World on his hand and there is no Killersaurus. However, his play appears that he activates the special effect of Killersaurus to obtain Jurassic World from his deck onto his hand. This can be assumed that Jurassic World shown on his hand should actually be Killersaurus. It's just an anime picture error. The result is that Kenzan has to have Jurassic World on his hand for the next following plays.

Kenzan activates [Jurassic World - Field Spell: Increase the ATK and DEF of Dinosaur-Type monsters by 300 points] immediately, increasing the attack points of Dark Tyranno to 2900 (2600+300). He then declares its attack to destroy E-Hero Edgeman. Rei looks scared, so she turns to hide behind Judai. On the contrary, Judai looks different than and gets excited to the play. When E-Hero Edgeman is destroyed, LP of Judai's team decreases to 3700 (4000+2600-2900). Setting up a face-down card, Kenzan ends his turn. Asuka is satisfied by his play.

Rei asks whether Judai is okey. Judai tells her that he is fine. He counts on her for the next play before stepping back. Asuka doesn't seem happy as seeing Rei coming in play. In the turn of Judai's team, Rei draws a card, sets up 3 face-down cards, and ends the turn shortly. Asuka doubts whether this is all what Rei wants to play. She thinks that Rei doesn't have to play like this anymore since the partners have changed already and there is nothing to be worried. Rei doesn't reply Asuka but laughs.

The turn now comes to Asuka. Drawing a card, she summons [Etoile Cyber - 4/1200/1600: If this card attacks your opponent's Life Points directly, increase the ATK of this card by 500 points during the Damage Step only] onto the field in attack position.

Asuka claims that this should be the end before declaring the direct attack of Etoile Cyber and Dark Tyranno. At this moment, Rei activates her face-down spell card [Scapegoat - Quick Play Spell: When this card is activated, you cannot summon any Monster in the same turn (including Flip Summon and Special Summon). Special Summon 4 Sheep Tokens (Beast-Type/EARTH/Level 1/0 ATK/0 DEF) in Defense Mode on your side of the Field. The tokens cannot be used as a Sacrifice for a Sacrifice Summon], summoning 4 Sheep Tokens on the field in defense position.

One Sheep Token is destroyed by Etoile Cyber. Rei says not to be worried because there is no damage in calculation. Asuka tells her that it is too easy. According to the special effect of Dark Tyranno, if it attacks and other monsters on the field are in defense position, it can attack the opponent directly. Because all Sheep Tokens are in defense position, Dark Tyranno allows to attack Rei directly accordingly. Kenzan feels sorry to that Asuka is utilizing his monster's special effect to attack Rei.

Thus, Dark Tyranno hits Rei directly. The LP of Judai's team then decreases to 800 (3700-2900). Setting 2 face-down cards, Asuka ends her turn. As she is looking confident, she seems irritated by seeing how Judai is treating Rei gently. Judai is holding Rei, asking whether she is fine. Rei apologizes Judai for losing LP. Judai tells her to leave this rest on him. He will use her face-down cards full of emotions. Rei becomes very happy to hear that. Certainly, his act annoys Asuka even more. Judai hasn't ignored her face-down cards all the time but he gives a promise to use Rei's face-down cards.

Judai Are you all right, Rei?
Rei I'm sorry... the Life...
Asuka Leave the back to me. I'll use the cards you had put down usefully.
Rei Judai-sama....
Asuka (What, really! He had ignored the cards I had put down!)
Judai Asuka. The duel confronting you. It has been long.
Asuka Uh?
Rei Let's have a fun duel~
Asuka What is it. So suddenly.

summary - second period
episode 162 summarized by Janime

It's now the turn of Judai's team and his round. He draws a card and opens one of Rei's face-down cards, [Jar of Greed ~ Kouyokuna Kame - Trap: Draw 1 card from your Deck]. It allows him to draw a card from his deck. Next, he opens the second face-down cards, [Token Thanksgiving ~ Token Shuukakusai - Spell: Destroy all tokens on the field. Increase your Life Points by the number of tokens destroyed x 800 points]. According to its effect, all Stray Lamb Tokens on the field are destroyed to increase LP by 800 points for each destroyed token.

Jar of Greed
Trap Card

There are 3 Stray Lamb Tokens left, so LP of Judai's team increase to 3200 (800+800*3). Next, Judai summons [N-Groun Mole - 3/900/300: If this card attacks or is attacked by an opponent's monster you can return both monsters to their owner's hands at the start of the Damage Step (without damage calculation)] onto the field in attack position. He uses the special effect of N-Groun Mole, declaring its attack to return Dark Tyranno to Kenzan's hand.

As N-Groun Mole is digging into the ground towards Dark Tyranno, Asuka says that he won't let Judai make it easily. She opens her face-down trap card [Doble Passe - Trap: You can activate this card when your opponent attacks a monster on your side of the field. You can allow to take that attack directly. Afterwards, the attacked monster can attack your opponent directly]. This card can change the attack of N-Groun Mole towards her directly. This reduces LP of Kenzan's team to 500 (1400-900).

In exchange, Judai has to receive the direct attack from the targeted monster, Dark Tyranno. Asuka tells Judai to receive the counter attack from Doble Passe. Judai gets the direct hit, so his LP decreases dramatically to 300 (3200-2900). Principal Samejime is very impressed by Asuka's extreme combo. Tome doesn't seem to understand the duel, so she asks which side wins. Principal Samejime tries to explain her patiently that the result hasn't come out yet.

As Judai is confronting Asuka, he begins to chuckle. Asuka asks him whether there is anything funny. Judai says that he remembers he got the similar attack from her 3 years ago (episode 3). At that time, Asuka activated Doble Passe to counter Judai's attack.

Asuka is surprised and asks whether Judai has finally remembered it. Judai tells her that he certainly can't forget such a great combo. Asuka smiles and says that she always thinks Judai is such an interesting boy. Judai accepts that the duel made him feel excited. Asuka is right that he has forgotten the exciting moment. Judai has passed a lot of painful and tough experience. Fun isn't the only thing in his life. He has learned through many duels until he has grown up than before. He also feels grateful to meet Asuka. Asuka smiles to that this is actually Judai she knew.

Kenzan and Rei can notice that Asuka's attitude has already changed. Asuka decides to open her face-down spell card [Mystical Space Typhoon ~ Cyclone - Quick Play Spell: Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field] to destroy Partner Change. Sho notes that many things have happened, but they seem to return to be normal. Without partner Change, Asuka and Rei have to return to their position. Asuka and Judai smile to each other. After sharing their feeling, they understand each other even more. Still in Judai's turn. He faces down 3 cards and ends his turn. Asuka encourages Judai to show the juniors their strongest combo. Judai agrees as clapping his hand with her hand as a sign of good teamwork.

Asuka I won't leave it! Counter trap! [Double Passe]! By taking the opponents' attack directly, I give damage equal to the targeted monster's attack points to the opponent!
Kenzan Asuka-Senpai!
Asuka Judai! I'll return this to you!
Rei Judai-sama!
Principal Samejima This is amazing. What an extreme combo!
Tome:
Tome But who won?
Principal Samejima Well, not yet...
Judai Hi Hi Hi!
Asuka What's so funny?
Judai I was assaulted by same combo three years ago, right?
Asuka You remembered it?
Judai How can I forget? I was struck with such a great combo.
Asuka I too, thought you were always an interesting guy.
Judai At that time, duel made me excited. Just like you said, somehow, I have forgotten that excitement.
Asuka Judai.
Judai And I had so much experience after that. There aren't only fun things in life. There are lot of painful and tough things too. I learned it through duel. And now, I feel grateful that I've grown larger than before. Of course, meeting you too. Asuka.
Asuka (You indeed are the Yuki Judai I knew).
Rei Probably...
Asuka Activate Quick Play Spell, Cyclone! I destroy Partner Change!
Rei That is...
Sho Many things have happened...They seem to return to be normal.
Judai Set up 3 cards, Turn End!
Asuka Judai, let's show our strongest combo to the juniors!
Judai Ohh!

Rei feels disappointed to how this can happen. Kenzan explains that it's because her trap card, Partner Change, was destroyed. At this rate, Rei urges Kenzan to defeat them no matter what. She claps her hand with Kenzan's as an agreement.

The turn is now with Kenzan. Drawing a card, he sacrifices Dark Tyranno in order to play spell card [Great Evolution Pill ~ Daishinka Yaku - Spell: Tribute 1 Dinosaur-Type monster from your side of the field to activate this card. After activation, for 3 turns this card stays on the field including the opponent's turns. When this card is on the field, Dinosaur-Type monsters do not need tributes to be Normal Summoned].

This spell card allows him to normal summon [Super Conductor Tyranno - 8/3300/1400: By Tributing 1 Monster on your side of the Field, you can inflict 1000 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points. This effect can only be used once per turn. In addition, when you use this effect, this card cannot attack during this turn] without tribute onto the field in attack position.

By the effect of Jurassic World, the attack points of Super Conductor Tyranno increase to 3600 (3300+300). Kenzan activates the special effect of Super Conductor Tyranno. Sacrificing Etoile Cyber of Asuka on his field, he can let Super Conductor Tyranno inflict direct 1000 damage points to Judai's team directly.

Skill Shock
Trap Card

Asuka is sorry to that it's the fault of her monster left on Kenzan's field. Judai tells her that things will be okey and he will handle it. He quickly opens his face-down trap card [Skill Shock - Counter Trap: You can activate this card when a monster on your opponent's side of the field activates an effect. Offer 1 monster on your side of the field as a sacrifice, and negate the effects of the monster on your opponent's side of the field. The monster whose effect is negated by this effect cannot attack during this turn and cannot be used as a sacrifice].

According to its effect, he can sacrifice N-Groun Mole on field in order to negate the attack of Super Conductor Tyranno. Kenzan says that when the special effect of Super Conductor Tyranno's activated, it can't do normal attack in this turn. Thus, he has to end his turn at this point. Asuka feels relieved that they were safe in this turn. Judai turns to Asuka and leave the rest on her. Asuka looks uncertain since they have no monster left on their field. On Kenzan's field is Super Conductor Tyranno with 3600 attack points. She doesn't seem to see any way out. Judai calls Asuka and gives her a hint on a chance left in the face-down cards.

Asuka looks at the three face-down cards. One of them is Prima Light that she placed down in her first turn. The other two are Judai's trap cards, Hero's Backup and Limit Reverse. Seeing Limit Reverse, Asuka realizes that it's the trap card to special summon a monster with less than 1000 attack points from the cemetery. She turns to Judai and smiles shortly.

Tome notices that Asuka and Judai become more like a pair now. Principal Samejima agrees and notes that both of them are like existence of chrysalis. They can spread their wings broader and depend on each other even more.

Tome Judai-Chan and Asuka-Chan. It seems that they have become more like a pair now.
Principal Samejima Yes. To speak, they are like a cocoon before its hatch. They will swing their wings broader as they interact and depend on each other.

Limit Reverse
Trap Card

The turn is with Asuka. After drawing a card, Asuka reminds herself of the doubt she has had until now. She has a choice to make whether to remain at Duel Academia as a researcher or to go studying aboard. This duel is going to help her find the answer. Asuka then opens Judai's first face-down trap cards [Limit Reverse - Permanent Trap: Select 1 monster with an attack power of 1000 or less from your Cemetery and Special Summon it in attack mode. When a monster Special Summoned by this effect is placed in defense mode, destroy this card and that monster. When this card leaves the field, destroy that monster. When that monster is destroyed, destroy this card].

This trap card allows her to resummon Cyber Tu Tu (1000 ATK) from her cemetery onto the field in attack position. As her monster is summoned, Asuka thinks that her real feeling to remain at Duel Academia may be just small emotion. Meanwhile, she activates the special effect of Cyber Tu Tu. When the attack points of the opponent monster are greater, it can attack the opponent directly. Thus, she declares the direct attack of Cyber Tu Tu towards Kenzan. At this moment, Asuka has already made a decision to leave Duel Academia and friends whom she has fought with for 3 years.

Kenzan quickly opens his face-down trap card [Survival Instinct ~ Seizon Honnou - Trap: Remove any number of Dinosaur-Type monsters in your Graveyard from play. Increase your Life Points for each Dinosaur-Type monster removed from play in this way x400 points]. Due to its effect, she can remove Dark Tyranno and Killersaurus in the cemetery from play to increase his LP to 1300 (500+400*2).

Cyber Tu Tu kicks Kenzan directly, so his LP has to decrease to 300 (1300-1000) again. Asuka tells him that the real finishing blow is from now on. As she is going to open another face-down card, she crosses her eyes to Judai and thinks that he has grown up more and more. The second face-down card Asuka opens is [Prima Light ~ Prima No Hikari - Quick Play Spell: Send 1 Cyber Tu Tu on your side of the field to the Graveyard in order to Special Summon 1 Cyber Prima from your hand].

This spell allows her to send Cyber Tu Tu on the field into the cemetery to special summon [Cyber Prima - 6/2300/1600: When this card is Tribute Summoned successfully, destroy all face-up Spell Cards on the Field] from her hand onto the field in attack position. At this point, Asuka sees Judai grow so much, thinking that she must grow more and more as well. Judai looks at Asuka and smiles as if there is nothing he has to be worried.

Hero's Backup
Trap Card

Asuka opens the last face-down trap card [Hero's Backup - You can only activate this card by designating 1 monster on your side of the field as a target during a Battle Phase. If the attack power of 1 of your opponent's battling monsters is exceeds the designated monster's attack power by 1000 points or more, add the attack power of 1 monster with E-Hero in its name, removed from the Cemetery, to the designated monster's attack power].

Due to its effect, when Cyber Prima is facing a monster with higher attack points (Super Conductor Tyranno) on Kenzan's field, she can add the attack points of an E-Hero monster from Judai's graveyard into Cyber Prima's. Thus, the attack points of E-Hero Edgeman are added to increase the attack points of Cyber Prima to 4900 (2300+2600). Kenzan and Rei are very shocked by such an amazing attack point.

Asuka declares the attack of Cyber Prima to destroy Super Conductor Tyranno immediately. This strike reduces LP of Kenzan's team to 0 (300+3600-4900). This is the end of the game by the victory of Judai and Asuka. Everybody applauds to their great play and cheers up. Judai and Asuka clap and hold their hands together for their perfect teamwork. Even Principal Samejima and Tome can't stand getting up and applauding.

Once Judai and Asuka realize, they hurry to separate their hands. Asuka looks shy as holding her hand that has just grasped Judai's hand. She thinks that she should flap her wings to the outside world in order not to be defeated by these wonderful friends. Asuka looks at her friends around the duel arena. This duel has already helped her make a decision to leave the school and go to study aboard.

During that night, Judai is walking back to Osiris Red dorm alone. She sees Asuka standing on his way. Asuka has waited for him here. She thanks him for today. Judai looks confused and asks what for she thanked him since he didn't do anything. Asuka explains that she thanked him because she was able to clear some of her doubts due to him. Judai even looks confused what the doubts are. Asuka doesn't tell him her plan and says that it's over.

Asuka looks at the cruise at the seaport before turning to reveal her feeling to him. Judai doubts what she intends to say exactly. Asuka doesn't finish her entire words but changes the topic that she's glad to meet him. From now on, she hopes they can be good rivals, giving her hand to Judai. Judai grapes and shakes her hand in response. He says farewell to her before walking off. While he is walking pass her, Asuka looks a bit sad.

Suddenly, Judai turns back to Asuka and tells her that he has something to tell her as well. He tells and shows her his victory sign, and thanks her for such a fun duel he hasn't had for a while. Judai gives Asuka a big smile that makes her remind of Judai smiling in the picture she looked before. She misses his big smile very much. As Judai is waving and walking away, Asuka begins to cry and tries to wipe her tears. Then, she turns back and walks away for her future.

Judai Asuka?
Asuka Judai, thanks for today.
Judai Huh? What? I didn't do anything.
Asuka Actually, thanks to you, I was able to clear some of my doubts.
Judai Doubts?
Asuka Mm-mm, it's over with now...You know, Judai, I...
Judai Hm?
Asuka Judai, I...you...
Judai Huh?
Asuka Uh, I'm glad that I met you! Let's be good rivals for one another from here on out.
Judai Sure. Well, see ya.
Asuka Right...
Judai (Oh, yeah! There was something I was going to say to you, too. Gotcha! Thanks for such a fun duel that has lost for a long time, Asuka!)

to be continued...

Judai The true duel is actually not fun. Thank you, Asuka!
Sho Bad! Bad! Bad! Dear brother receives a challenge. The opponent is such a vicious guy to Principal Samejima and with Cyber Style.
Judai What? Kaiser is going to duel by that body?
Sho Next, [Challenge from Psycho Shocker]! Dear brother, please no! You must not fight like that.
Judai Sho...You...
