Fubuki is now confronting Fujiwara alone at the underground level of the old Blue dorm. He has come here because he previously had a weird dream about his past in this place where's the origin of Darkness. Fubuki asks who Fujiwara actually is. Fujiwara doesn't answer but asks back what Fubuki is currently doing. He seems to know Fubuki very well. Fubuki looks confused and asks what Fujiwara is talking about. Fujiwara again doesn't answer and questions how Fujiwara Yusuke is and where he's met.

Hearing the name of Fujiwara Yusuke, Fubuki still doesn't have any idea. He shakes his head as saying that he can't remember anything. Fujiwara gets very angry before telling Fubuki not to run away and bursting his power until Fubuki is blown away. Fubuki hits the wall so strongly that he passes out. While Fujiwara is stepping closer to Fubuki, O'Brien suddenly appears to stop Fujiwara.

A light bottle is then thrown in front of Fujiwara. As the light is shining brightly to blind everything, O'Brien with an eye protector hurries to carry Fubuki away. Fujiwara obviously looks very mad after seeing Fubuki taken away. Fubuki is brought back to the medical room at Duel Academia. He is sleeping on a bed while Judai is sitting nearby.

Asuka runs shortly into the room and asks for her dear brother. She stands close to the bed and asks Judai whether her brother is okey. Judai tells her that it's close and dangerous but Fubuki's actually saved by O'Brien. He points Asuka to O'Brien laying on another bed in the room. Asuka becomes surprised by seeing O'Brien here.

Asuka asks O'Brien directly why he has been at Duel Academia. O'Brien explains that he received a new duty from President Pegasus, returning to Duel Academia secretly. Asuka doubts what that duty is. O'Brien says that his duty is to investigate the current event happening all over the country or to investigate the cards that don't react to duel disks. It's highly possible that the cause of this event is at Duel Academia.

Asuka still doesn't understand why Duel Academia is mainly related. O'Brien can't tell her exactly why but he believes now that Fujiwara is holding a secret. While he was going after Fujiwara at the old Blue dorm, he came across with Fubuki there and saved him from Fujiwara's attack. Judai wonders how Fubuki is involved.

Asuka O'Brien, why are you here?
O'Brien I have received a new duty from President Pegasus of Industrial Illusions and returned to this island secretly.
Asuka Duty?
O'Brien To investigate the cards that don't react to disks, which happen all over the country. We realize that there is high possibility that the cause of the event remains at Duel Academia.

O'Brien We still don't know why, but the guy named Fujiwara Yusuka seems to hold a secret.

Judai But, why Fubuki-San...

O'Brien reveals his investigation around Judai's concern. Before, Chairman Kagemaru used the honor students at the deserted dorm to review the three sacred beasts and obtain the power of immortality. However, this plan was obstructed by Judai and his friends (It's the battle against the 7 stars in Season I). After that, Chairman Kagemaru stopped his entire research and released all students. There was, however, actually a student who didn't return at that time.

Judai can easily guess that O'Brien is talking about Fujiwara. O'Brien clarifies that Fujiwara used to be called a genius along with Fubuki and Ryo at that time. There is no confirmed report, but he seems to deal with a personal secret project on a back side. Judai quickly thinks of the project related to Darkness. Everything is related now because Fubuki is the only one who used the power of Darkness as a member of the seven stars. Thus, the key linking to Darkness and Fujiwara remains only at him.

Fubuki is groaning before Judai shakes his body and asks him forcefully what actually happened. Fubuki looks in pain, and Asuka can't stop seeing. She tries to stop Judai and explains that her brother isn't in a good condition to talk. Judai doesn't seem to care and claims that only Fubuki knows the whole truth. He even doesn't stop asking Fubuki to give him an answer.

Asuka becomes very mad as seeing how Judai is persistent. She slaps him on his face to stop his act. What Kenzan said before may be true. Judai has changed. Asuka has never seen him stubborn this much before. Judai doesn't argue but walks out slowly. While passing Asuka, he tells her with sad voice that there are things that one can't turn back even if the one wants to. Asuka is looking sad while watching Judai leaving the medical room quietly.

In another room, Asuka is changing flowers for her brother and thinking of what Judai has just said. She doesn't understand what actually happened to Judai. When she walks back and enters the medical room, she becomes very shocked. The vase of flowers is dropped from her hands onto the floor and broken. Asuka runs quickly to the empty bed where her brother has already disappeared.

O'Brien I have investigated around that. Before, Chairman Kagemaru used the students of the honorably deserted dorm to revive the three sacred beasts and to obtain the power of immortality. But, it's obstructed by you. After that, Chairman Kagemaru has entirely discontinued the research he had done up until then and released all students of the honor dorm in the subject, but there was one student who hasn't returned.

Correct. Fujiwara was called a genius along with Tenjoin Fubuki and Marufuji Ryo at that time. There is no confirmed report, but he seemed to deal with an individual secret project on a reverse side.

Because Judai can't get information from Fubuki, the last source of information remains at another member of the seven stars, Teacher Daitokuji. During the same night at the Red dorm, Judai is holding the spirit of Teacher Daitokuji in a plastic bag above a toilet in the dorm restroom. He is forcing his teacher to split out the whole truth.

Teacher Daitokuji is in a big trouble. He tells Judai that he honestly doesn't know anything. Judai realizes that Fubuki used to help on the research of Chairman Kagemaru and Teacher Daitokuji, so he hopes that Teacher Daitokuji may know something about Darkness. Teacher Daitokuji confirms that he has already told Judai everything he knows.

Judai doesn't seem to believe his teacher's answer. He forces Teacher Daitokuji to split out the truth unless his teacher wants to be flushed into the toilet that will lead him to a dark place not like a bloody pool of hell. Judai holds his nose and says that he doesn't want to imagine how bad the place will smell. He then says goodbye to his teacher before dropping the bag into the toilet.

The spirit of Teacher Daitokuji struggles and dances up and down the toilet. He convinces Judai that he already told him the truth. He and Chairman Kagemaru just used Fubuki who had already obtained the power of Darkness. However, they had no idea where Fubuki had obtained it. Judai finally holds the bag in his hand and decides to release his teacher. Teacher Daitokuji thanks him for his help. Judai looks upset to this hope. This means only Fubuki holds the answer of Darkness. Teacher Daitokuji feels sorry to him that he can't be any help.

Suddenly, Judai hears some voice coming outside, running out to check what's going on. In front of the Red dorm is Fubuki collapsing at the stair. He actually left the medical room to see Judai here. Judai runs into Fubuki and holds him up. Fubuki asks Judai weakly take him to the old Blue dorm. Judai doubts whether this will be good for Fubuki, but Fubuki insists that he is okey with that.

Daitokuji I honestly don't know anything-nya!
Judai Teacher Daitokuji, Fubuki-San did help Chairman Kagemaru's and your research, correct? Do you know anything about Darkness?
Daitokuji I told you all that I know-nya!
Judai Is that so? Come on, now...If you don't give me a straight answer, you're going to be flushed down just like this. And it'll lead to a dark and foul place, not like the Bloody Pool of Hell...Ugh, I don't wanna picture it...See ya, Teacher.

At the underground level of the old Blue dorm, Judai is holding Fubuki into the middle of the circle field where's the origin of everything. He believes that something happened here. Fubuki still can't remember anything. As holding his face, he tells Judai that whenever he is trying to remember it, his head is hurt. At the same time, Asuka, Manjyome, Sho, and Kenzan are arriving the place at the upper level entrance. Asuka is calling for her brother loudly.

Fubuki yells to stop people to get closer. Manjyome turns to talk to Judai that he has already heard of the whole story from Fubuki, asking Judai what this whole thing means. Judai explains that a new threat is approaching the school, and the key to the incidence remains in Darkness. Only Fubuki can give the answer for the truth of Darkness.

Fubuki asks Judai duel him at this place so that he may be able to remember something. As Judai doubts to do so, Asuka asks him stop it because her brother isn't in a good condition to move. While holding himself up and stepping away from Judai, Fubuki tells Asuka that he will be fine. Up until now, he has avoided recognizing the truth. He has already made a decision that he shouldn't keep it anymore.

Fubuki steps back to the other side of the field to confront Judai in a duel. There is one more preparation that he has to make. Fubuki takes out the key card, "Darkness", from his jacket. Black aura then emerges from the card before the card is transforming into Darkness mask. Asuka hurries to tell her brother to stop doing that. She is afraid that her brother will be taken over by Darkness again if he puts Darkness mask on. Judai tells Asuka coldly not to stop Fubuki. There is no other way to retrieve the truth. Asuka, Sho, and Kenzan become very surprised by such a forceful act from Judai.

Fubuki tells Judai that whether he will be able to revive his memory first or to be taken by Darkness depends on the duel. Judai nods his head as responding that he understands it very well. Fubuki then puts Darkness mask on. Suddenly, dark aura bursts out around his body, transforming him into Darkness form. Fubuki calls back the power of Darkness before standing by his duel disk. Judai also sets up his duel disk in response. Both of them then begin a game.

Judai This is it. Something happened here.
Fubuki I don't know. Whenever I try to remember, my head is hurt.
Asuka Brother!
Fubuki Don't come here!
Manjyome Judai. I heard everything from Tenjoin-Kun. But what do all of these mean?
Judai A new threat is approaching this school.

Judai Duel!

The first turn is with Judai. Drawing a card, he gets [E-Hero Clayman - 4/800/2000] and summons it onto the field in defense position. Judai sets up a face-down card and ends his turn shortly.

The turn moves to Fubuki. He draws a card and summons [Red-Eyes B.Chick ~ Kokuryuu No Hina - 1/800/500: Send this face-up card on your side of the field to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 Red-Eyes B. Dragon from your hand] onto the field in attack position. Fubuki activates the special effect of Red-Eyes B.Chick immediately. Sending it into the cemetery, he can special summon [Red-Eyes Black Dragon - 7/2400/2000] from his hand onto the field in attack position. Kenzan gets excited by the appearance of Red-Eyes Black Dragon as he has heard from a rumor.

Next, Fubuki plays [Inferno Fire Blast ~ Kokuendan - Spell: Select 1 face-up Red-Eyes B. Dragon on your side of the field to activate this card. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by tributing Red-Eyes B. Dragon on your side of the field. Increase the ATK of this card by 300 points for each Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard] onto the field.

Fubuki claims that Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon can be special summoned when Red-Eyes Black Dragon is sacrificed. Also, its attack points increase by 300 points for each dragon-type monster in his graveyard. There are Red-Eyes B. Chick and Red-Eyes Black Dragon in the cemetery, so the attack points of Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon go up to 3000 (2400+300*2). Manjyome looks very shocked by such a powerful 3000 attack points. Fubuki declares the attack of Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon, Darkness Giga Flame, to destroy E-Hero Clayman. Judai realizes that this is bad. Note: As a reminder, OCG's and anime's effect of Neos Force is slightly different. OCG's effect indicates that damage equal to the ORIGINAL attack points of the destroyed monster is inflicted. On the contrary, anime shows that the damage equal to the ATTACK points of the destroyed monster is inflicted. This causes significant effect to a real play because the original attack points of the destroyed monster may be low but the attack points at the time it is destroyed may be high. Fubuki's case is a good example. The original attack points of Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon are 2400. Following OCG's effect of Neos Force, Fubuki should receive only 2400 damage not 3000. The fact that he receives 3000 damage because, at the time Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon's destroyed, its attack points are boosted up to 3000 by Red-Eyes B. Chick and Red-Eyes Black Dragon in the cemetery. Therefore, according to anime's effect of Neos Force, the whole 3000 damage is inflicted to Fubuki.

Fubuki is collapsing against the wall while Asuka is calling her brother out loud. Fubuki is now dreaming of his past. Judai's attack seems to help him restore some memory. In the dream, he sees Fujiwara wearing Darkness mask. Fujiwara turns to Fubuki and tells him that he has already found the ultimate power, Darkness. Fubuki finally gets up from the dream as his memory gradually recovers. At this moment, Darkness begins to consume his body.

Everybody is concerned by whether Darkness' power has already possessed Fubuki. Fubuki tries to stand firmly and tells Judai to continue the duel. He confirms that his spirit won't be consumed by Darkness easily. While Judai looks uncertain, Fubuki activates his face-down trap card [Red-Eyes Spirits - Trap: Special Summon 1 monster with Red-Eyes in its name that was destroyed and sent to the Cemetery, during this turn, regardless of any Summoning Requirements it has]. This trap allows him to special summon Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon that has just been destroyed back onto the field in attack position. Due to the special effect of Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon, its attack points go up to 3000 (2400+300*2) again for Red-Eyes B. Chick and Red-Eyes Black Dragon in his graveyard. Judai ends his turn at this timing.

The turn goes to Fubuki. Fubuki draws a card and claims that the effect of Neos Force has already disappeared. Thus, E-Hero Neos' attack points go down to its original 2500 attack points. It's a chance for Fubuki. He declares the attack of Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon to destroy E-Hero Neos. Judai's LP decreases to 1100 (1600+2500-3000). Setting up a face-down card, Fubuki ends his turn.

Elemental Storm allows E-Hero Neos to destroy a monster with higher attack points, so Judai certainly lets it destroy Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon. As E-Hero Neos is going to destroy Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon, Fubuki opens his face-down trap card [Magic-Reflector Armor, Metal Plus ~ Mahou Hanshasoukou Metal Plus - Permanent Trap: {After this card is activated, this card becomes an Equip Card and equips to 1 monster on your side of the field. This trap card can protect E-Hero Neos from destruction. Also, Judai can remove E-Hero Bubbleman in his cemetery from play to reduce battle damage by a half and to draw a card. There appears large explosion as Judai's LP decreases to 350 (1100-{4000-2500}/2). Fubuki ends his turn at this point.

The turn comes to Judai. Drawing a card, he activates spell card [Contact Soul - Spell: When a E-Hero Neos is on your side of the field, select 1 monster with Neo Spacian in its name from your Deck, hand, or Graveyard and Special Summon it. During the End Phase of this turn, return all monsters on your side of the field to your Deck] from his hand. According to its effect, when E-Hero Neos is on the field, Judai can special summon a N-Spacian monster from his deck, hand, or graveyard onto the field.

At this moment Judai is describing his card's effect, Fubuki activates the remaining special effect of Red-Eyes Metal Dragon. By discarding a card on his hand, Cave Dragon, into the cemetery, he can negate Judai's activation of Contact Soul. Furthermore, because one more dragon monster has just sent to the graveyard, the attack points of Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon increase to 4400 (2800+400*4).

Asuka hurries to run into her brother, following by everybody. While Judai is running into Fubuki, Asuka shouts at him to stop him from coming closer. Her tone of voice expresses clearly how she gets angry at Judai who made her brother end up like this. Fubuki tells Asuka not to act like this. This is actually what he wants.

Fubuki tells Judai that he has already remembered everything especially the story about Fujiwara Yusuke. In his memory, Fujiwara was his good friend whose talent is better than Fubuki's and Ryo's. He's interested in research about dueling. However, his passion gradually turned into a strange direction.

Fubuki Yes. Fujiwara Yusuke... now thinking about it, his talents excelled mine or Ryo's. He only loved and researched about duels. But slowly, his form of passion transformed into something strange.

One day, Fubuki met Fujiwara at this underground level of the old Blue dorm. Fujiwara was in Darkness mask, telling Fubuki that he had already discovered the power in the world of darkness that nobody had found. Judai understands instantly that it's Darkness' power.

Fubuki keeps telling the story that he tried to stop Fujiwara at that time. He realized that if Fujiwara's research was true, Fujiwara had to sacrifice his life to gain the power. Anyway, Fujiwara didn't care. In order to get the power in hands, he was willing to sacrifice himself. He just wanted to get the power that exceeded human beings. It's the power with the eternal life.

Fubuki yelled loudly to stop Fujiwara, but Fujiwara didn't listen. Fujiwara dropped his blood on his left arm onto the mid of the circle field. Suddenly, dark aura emerged around Fujiwara's body, and Fubuki was dragged into another empty dimension. When Fubuki looked up, he saw Darkness' mask flying and Fujiwara standing in front of him.

As Fubuki doubted where he was, Fujiwara told him that here's the entrance to Darkness. Fujiwara apologized Fubuki for dragging him into this situation, and he was going to become one with Darkness. Fubuki begged Fujiwara not to go. Fujiwara didn't answer but said that he would give Darkness' mask to Fubuki. For him, Darkness' mask was no longer necessary. Fujiwara then said farewell to Fubuki before disappearing. After that, Fubuki had a test duel with Teacher Daitokuji. During the duel, he was dragged into another dimension and survived from there by borrowing the power of Darkness' mask.

Judai wonders what actually happened to Fujiwara. Fubuki is afraid to say that Fujiwara died after he had been taken into Darkness. Suddenly, Fujiwara appears in front of everyone and tells people that it's a lie. People become very amazed by seeing two Fujiwara. Judai doesn't think that it's strange. One of them must be a fake. Fujiwara looks at Fubuki madly before claiming that Fubuki left his master. As Fubuki doesn't understand which master Fujiwara's talking about, Judai can catch up the true identity of Fujiwara and tell him to show up his true form. He takes out a card representing the true identity of Fujiwara, the duel monster spirit [Honest].

Fujiwara Fubuki, I have already found it...the power that nobody could find out...The power over at that world of darkness.
Judai Darkness!
Fubuki Stop it! If your research is true, to gain that power...
Fujiwara ...I have to sacrifice my own soul. But it doesn't matter. I want to get it. The power that excels human!
