episode 156 summarized by Janime

Previously, everybody returned to Duel Academia safely but there was no shadow of Judai. Sho was the only one who knew what's going, crying to Judai.

At night at the principal room, Principal Samejima is looking at the report of the missing students at the different world as Professor Chronos is crying for them. He realizes that not everybody has returned safely, looking at the listing with the pictures of Judai, Hell Kaiser, Misawa, and Amon and feeling sorry to them. Professor Chronos explains that because of their sacrifice, many students including himself were saved.

Note: Judai doesn't return after fusing with Yubel. Misawa doesn't return but he may stay with Taniya and other duel monsters in the different world. Amon doesn't return, neither nor Ekou. Both of them may be together in the different world either. Hell Kaiser doesn't return after his final duel with Johan. Because he is still weak, he may not have power to come back or may still want to stay in the different world to look for greater duelists. Nothing can explain where these people actually are.

Principal Samejima understands Professor Chronos' feeling very well. He realizes that there have been many questions about Duel Monsters until now. By this incidence, those questions may be answered. Professor Chronos strongly agrees. Principal Samejima hands the picture files to Professor Chronos, asking them to bring the files to the old Blue dorm where the information of the missing students is gathered.

Note: This old Blue dorm used to be mentioned in anime season I (episode 5 and 6). At that time, Asuka went to the old Blue dorm to look for her dear brother's information and was captured by Titan. Judai, Hayato, and Sho followed her there and found many mysterious things before Judai ended up by dueling Titan. During that time, many students were missing from the school, and their pictures were posted at that old Blue dorm. Fubuki was one of them, but he could return later.

Professor Chronos receives the files from Principal Samejima, telling him that he will do it and walking out. Principal Samejima then stands up and walks to the window. He believes that the mystery must be solved one day. That's the purpose that Duel Academia was originally founded.

Note: There is high possibility that many students are missing because they are in the 12 different worlds as mentioned in Season III. This missing students have become an issue of GX story since Season I. Nothing has been solved yet. As Principal Samejima said, everything may be revealed in Season IV.

Principal Samejima Not everyone could manage to make back safely. I'm sorry to hear that the precious students were not able to come back.
Chronos But because of their sacrifices, many students including me were saved.
Principal Samejima I know. There have been many questions about Duel Monsters. By this incidence, they may be solved.
Chronos You are right.
Principal Samejima Bring this file to old Blue dorm, the same place where the missing students are.
Chronos It will.
Principal Samejima The mystery must be solved one day. Because, originally, this Duel Academia was originally founded to solve that mystery.

At the red dorm, Sho, Kenzan, Asuka, Manjyome, and Fubuki are sitting in the dining room. There are many fried shrimps, Judai's favorite meal, placed in a plate on a table. People are watching at the fried shrimps and thinking of Judai. It's has been a week since they returned to the original dimension: however, Asuka feels that things happened a long time ago. Fubuki at least feels glad that all people came back to their own places safely.

Meanwhile, Sho is facing down and looking sad. Manjyome understands how Sho is getting shocked after losing Judai. Sho gets up and turns to argue Manjyome quickly that Judai didn't die. Judai did tell him that he didn't intend to be sacrificed but was going to have a journey to become an adult (episode 155). Anyway, Sho is so upset that Judai didn't return. He begins to cry again before running away.

Manjyome doesn't understand at all what's wrong with Sho. After seeing Manjyome acting like that, Kenzan hopes that Manjyome had better try to understand people's feeling. Asuka and Fubuki agree with Kenzan as looking at Manjyome unfriendly. Manjyome corrects people that he is the one who is upset at most because he has already lost a rival. Fubuki is afraid that there may be no other duelist like Judai who has bravery and talent.

Asuka agrees with her brother. This reminds herself of her first duel with Judai. At that time, although Judai had only 200 LP left and had no monster on his field, he could still go on only by trusting on his drawing strength (Flashback to episode 3 : The last turn of Judai when he dueled Asuka until she lost).

Kenzan then shares the similar experience that Judai did the same thing in their first duel (Flashback to episode 55 : In the duel between Judai and Kenzan, Judai had only 200 LP left and had only a chance in his last turn).

Asuka It has been only a week since we came back to this dimension, but it feels that something happened a long time ago.
Fubuki Everyone came back to their own places, right?
Kenzan Yes...
Manjyome Sho, I understand how you are feeling shocked.
Sho Big Brother Judai didn't die! He told me! He didn't intend to be sacrificed, but was going to have a journey to become an adult!
Manjyome What's up with him?
Kenzan I wish that Manjyome-senpai had better try to understand how people feel.
Manjyome Hey! The person who is suffering at most is me who has lost a rival!
Fubuki The bravery and talent. There may be no other duelist like Judai.
Asuka I see. Even the first time I dueled Judai, he had only 200 LP left and no monster on his field, but he could go only by trusting on his drawing strength.
Kenzan He did same in the first duel with me.

Thinking about this duel, Kenzan begins to cry heavily. He thinks of Judai who gave him a guide of his living in that duel, so he would like to duel Judai again to show how much he has changed by now. Manjyome begins to share his experience after everybody. He used to be the emperor of Duel Academia but was thrown away from the castle because of Judai (Flashback to episode 5 : Judai was dueling Manjyome and countering by activating Transcendent Wings).

Manjyome had been worse since that duel. He now becomes angry to think about it now. It makes him feel hungry. Manjyome then walks to the fried shrimps on the table of Judai, picks them into his mouth, and says that he will eat them all. He yells to tell stupid Judai not dare come back. Kenzan is trying to hold and stop him.

Right after that, the plate becomes empty as Manjyome is chewing a fried shrimp in his mouth. Kenzan feels that Manjyome doesn't act like an adult. Asuka thinks that, because of that kind of defeat, there can be current Manjyome. Fubuki also agrees with her. Kenzan admires Asuka's nice words for Manjyome. Manjyome takes the remaining of the shrimp from his mouth into the plate. To think about it, he says that when he closes his eyes, he can remember the bright of his revival (Flashback to episode 26: the duel between Manjyome with Armed Dragons and Judai).

However, Manjyome becomes upset shortly because he still ended up by losing in that duel. He faces down as saying that his revival duel really wasn't bright and grand. Kenzan feels sorry to Manjyome not to be able to beat Judai at all. Fubuki agrees because Judai is such a rare duelist and it's difficult to find someone to beat him.

Manjyome tells people to stop criticizing as claiming that he just lost to Judai twice. Kenzan begins counting and finds that Manjyome should be lost more than that. Manjyome yells to make Kenzan shut up while hitting the table strongly. He says that although it's a small number, he used to succeed once. Kenzan thinks that Manjyome may be lying. Fubuki doesn't want to believe. He looks at his PDA and finds no official record like that in Manjyome's profile.

Manjyome walks to Asuka, asking her to convince people because Asuka used to see it herself. Thus, she can be his good witness. Asuka nods her head and agrees. She confirms that Manjyome used to win Judai once. Kenzan looks very surprised and hardly believes this.

Kenzan Through that fight, Big Brother Judai gave me a direction for my living! I want to duel him again to show him how much I have changed~
Manjyome You guys just go sad over that. I was the emperor of Duel Academia. Judai guy! I was thrown from the castle to the ground! Even if I think of it now, my inside twist! I will eat all of them!
Kenzan Stop it!
Manjyome Don't ever come back! You idiot!
Kenzan Really... you are childish.
Asuka But because of that defeat, there is current Manjyome, right?
Fubuki Right.
Kenzan Asuka-senpai~ Nice~
Manjyome Well, that's right. When I close my eyes, I can envision that bright, the day of the revival....it isn't that bright~
Kenzan No way that you can win Big Brother~
Fubuki Certainly, he is a rare duelist.
Manjyome Wait! I did lose only twice to Judai!
Kenzan You lost more than that~
Manjyome Shut up! But even if that is only a small number, it is true that I once had cornered Judai!
Kenzan You must be lying!
Fubuki There's nothing like that in your official duel record.
Manjyome It's true! Tenjoin-kun! You saw it!
Asuka Yeah. Manjyome once won Judai.
Kenzan Unbelievable~

summary - second period
episode 156 summarized by Janime

Manjyome holds his arms, asking whether Kenzan and Fubuki understand him correctly. Both Kenzan and Fubuki take a deep breath as if they don't want to believe that. Asuka is afraid to interrupt and says that Manjyome might not have actually won. Manjyome gets surprised by what Asuka means (Flashback to episode 2: the first duel between Manjyome and Judai. Judai would have won by activating Monster Reborn to revive E-Hero Flame Wingman if the duel had continued).

Manjyome is pretty shocked by the fact that only Asuka has known until now (Judai showed his card only to her at that time). Asuka says that if there had been no interruption at that time, Judai would probably have won. Kenzan is stepping closer to Manjyome while trying to bear his laugh. Manjyome certainly isn't satisfied by the unclear result. Judai seems to have a back tackle on his victory. Manjyome can't forgive him, yelling to let Judai come back so that this can be solved.

Outside at a cliff, Sho is sitting alone under a tree. He looks up into the sky and thinks about Judai. He feels that he actually didn't understand Judai at all (Flashback to episode 136: Sho blew out his anger over Judai at the end of his duel against Brron, Mad King of Dark World).

Because of that event, Sho got very angry at Judai. He thought that Judai was such a cruel person. If he listened to what his dear brother (Hell Kaiser) said, he might have already abandoned Judai at that time (Flashback to episode 137: Sho met Hell Kaiser and talked to him about Judai).

Manjyome See that?
Asuka But in truth, he might not have actually won.
Manjyome What?! That thing!!!?
Asuka If there had been no interruption at that time, Judai would have won already...who knows?
Manjyome Dang it.... he had a back tackle for my victory?! I cannot forgive you! Come back right at this moment Judai!
Sho Big Brother, I really didn't understand Big Brother at all. At that time, I thought that Big Brother was really such a cruel guy. If dear brother hadn't said, I might have already abandoned at that time.

Sho remembers that, after that, Supreme King completely possessed Judai's heart. Judai fought with his real swords in real earnest to crush down many of his friends (Flashback to episode 140: Supreme King Judai dueled Jim, Flashback to episode 143: Supreme King Judai dueled O'Brien).

After the duel between Supreme King and O'Brien, people thought that Supreme King had already died. However, Sho realizes that Supreme King can't be killed because he is actually another face of Judai (Flashback to episode 148: The last moment of Hell Kaiser after his duel with Johan). He remembers what his dear brother said at that time that Judai wasn't a kid and had to become an adult.

(Flashback to episode 153, 154, and 155: The last duel of Judai and Yubel and his last moment). Judai left his words that he would have a journey to become an adult from a kid. Sho is concerned by that he won't be able to understand if he sees it. Then, he sees a shooting star in the sky. Sho holds his hands together and prays for the star to give Judai back. He would like to meet Judai for one more time and tell him how he is feeling now.

Suddenly, the star is getting bigger and moving faster towards Sho. Sho becomes very frightened as trying to dodge it. The star moves pass Sho and falls into the forest. Sho hurries to run over there. Smoke is flying out from the hole where the star has fallen. Inside smoke is a shadow of someone. Sho smiles as seeing that the person standing there is actually Judai, calling for his Big Brother loudly. Judai turns back to Sho. He looks much different. His hair is longer and he seems to grow up a bit. Judai smiles and tells Sho that today's a fried-shrimp day.

Sho After that, Big Brother...Supreme King dwelled in his heart...he fought with real swords and crushed down many friends. But at that time, Supreme King hadn't died yet. There is no way to kill Supreme King because Supreme King is another face of Big Brother. Dear Brother said that Big Brother wasn't a kid and had to be an adult. Big Brother was unmentionably anguished to become an adult from a kid. If I don't see it, I won't be able to understand. A falling star? Please send Big Brother back. I want to tell him for one more time how I feel at the moment...Tha...that! Big Brother!
Judai Sho, today was a fried-shrimp day~

to be continued...
The end of Season III, to be continued in Season IV

Sho Big Brother, you have finally returned to us. I strongly believed that we would meet again.
Judai Ah, Sho, I am sorry for making you worried. But I am feeling that I want to find my true self.
Sho Manjyome-Kun and Asuka-San, everyone...everyone is...about Big Brother~
Judai What's wrong, Winged Kuriboh? Are you aware of something?
Sho Big Brother, where are you going? Next, [A Looming Threat! The Mysterious Visitor]!
Judai Don't hide yourself over there! Why don't you show up yourself?
