episode 125 summarized by Janime

Previously, Martin was contacting the students, who were depressed because of hunger, at the gym. He introduced himself as the new ruler of Martin Empire. Rei and Vice Principal Napoleon looked very concerned about him. Martin offered to trade food storage currently possessed by zombie students with power supply on Judai's side. Judai rejected this offer firmly, causing unsatisfaction to all hungry students. Anyway, he offered to settle this issue by a duel. If his side won, he would get food. However, if his side lost, he got nothing and had to lose the power supply to Martin.

There were triple duels in this game. Johan faced Masked Knight of Impassivity, Jim faced Masked Knight of Anger, and O'Brien faced Masked Knight of Laughter. Once the game began, Johan gained the lead by the strike of Gem Beast Amber Mammoth towards Masked Knight of Impassivity directly. What was strange was that Masked Knight of Impassivity got the first move, but he neither set up any card nor summoned a monster. Thus, Johan could make direct attack easily. LP of Masked Knight of Impassivity now has 2300 LP.

On the other side, Masked Knight of Laughter tried to make O'Brien laugh by lively play. He sent three Laugh Bombers into the cemetery and activated their special effect to inflict direct damage to O'Brien. This hit caused O'Brien's LP to decrease to 2500. Lastly, Jim was attacked by the special effect of Anchor Knight of Anger. His LP, therefore, decreased to 2200. Judai hoped that three of them would try their best to win this game so that they could get food. Otherwise, people might lose patience on hunger, unable to hold it anymore.

The triple matches are still running in front of Duel Academia while there are many students including Judai, Asuka, Kenzan, Rei, Misawa, Professor Chronos, and Vice Principal Napoleon watching the games. Judai is analyzing the game, getting worried about Jim and O'Brien who seem to have tough fight from the early stage of the game. Their LP decrease as their opponents still have full LP. Only Johan has full 4000 LP while his opponent has 2300 LP. Although he seems to lead, he doesn't look certain. He has such a weird feeling coming from Masked Knight of Impassivity who hasn't played any single card since the game started.

The turn is now with Masked Knight of Impassivity, and it's his second turn. He draws a card with calm sound and again ends his turn quickly without doing anything. Johan is getting more surprised by whether Masked Knight of Impassivity hasn't done anything yet at all. According to the rule of the game, when a player has 7 cards at his end phase, he has to discard a card into the cemetery to have only 6 cards on hand. Johan is aware of that this opponent begins to move.

Silent Pain
Spell Card

It's now Johan's turn. Once he draws a card, Masked Knight of Impassivity activates the effect of the spell card [Silent Pain ~ Chinmoku No Itami - Spell: When only this card is in your Graveyard, during each of your opponent's Standby Phase, destroy all monsters on the opponent's side of the field and inflict 1000 points of damage to the opponent's Life Points], which he has just discarded into the graveyard. This can be played only when i is in a cemetery.

According to its effect, in each of Johan's standby phase, Johan's monsters will be destroyed, and he has to receive 1000 direct damage points. Therefore, Gem Beast Amber Mammoth is destroyed as his LP decreases to 3000 (4000-1000). Gem Beast Amber Mammoth then becomes an Amber gem on the field or in Johan's spell/trap card zone. Johan realizes that this is what Masked Knight of Impassivity has aimed.

Masked Knight of Impassivity looks very annoying to Johan. Anyway, Johan thinks that although his monster was destroyed and he lost 1000 LP, he should be fine. Because the turn is still with him, he still has a chance to summon a monster again and attack. Johan then summons [Gem Beast Topaz Tiger ~ Hougyokujyuu Topaz Tiger - 4/1600/1000: When this card is destroyed, instead of sending it to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell/Trap Card Zones. When this card is in your Spell/Trap Card Zone it is treated as a Continuous Spell Card. When this card battles with an opponent's monster, increase this cards ATK by 400 points] onto the field in attack position.

Gem Beast Topaz Tiger tells Johan to leave this job on it. As Johan counts on it to attack, Masked Knight of Impassivity activates another spell card [Silent Void ~ Chinmoku No Kokuu - Spell: By removing this card from play if there is a Silent Pain is in your Graveyard, destroy 1 of your opponent's monsters. You can only activate this effect during your opponent's turn] from his hand. Due to its effect, he can remove this card from game when Silent Pain is in the cemetery in order to destroy one monster on Johan's field. Thus, Gem Beast Topaz Tiger is destroyed and remains as a Topaz gem on Johan's field or his spell/trap card zone. Johan can't do anything else, ending his turn at this point.

The turn moves to Masked Knight of Impassivity. Repeatedly, he draws a card and ends his turn without doing anything. Johan doubts whether Masked Knight of Impassivity intends not to summon any monster until at the end of the game. The turn moves back to Johan quickly. Once he draws a card, Masked Knight of Impassivity again activates the effect of Silent Pain in the cemetery. It can inflict 1000 damage points to him.

At this moment, Masked Knight of Impassivity activates another spell card [Silent Torment ~ Chinmoku No Gekutsuu - Spell: By removing this card from play when a Silent Pain in your Graveyard is activated, inflict 1000 points of damage to the opponent's Life Points] from his hand. Johan looks amazed by another different spell card. According to its effect, Masked Knight of Impassivity can remove it from play when Silent Pain in his graveyard is activated in order to inflict 1000 damage points to the opponent.

Silent Void
Spell Card
Silent Torment
Spell Card

In total, Johan has to receive 2000 damage points from Silent Void and Silent Torment. His LP decreases shortly to 1000 (3000-2000). Johan is afraid that if this goes on, he will be defeated once his next turn comes. In his next standby phase, Silent Pain will inflict 1000 direct damage points, and his LP will become 0 (1000-1000). Kenzan, Judai, and Asuka see that Johan's game doesn't look good. Meanwhile, the students begin to complain. They can't accept Johan's defeat because this game is attached by food for everybody.

Weathering Soldier
Monster Card

At the second match between Jim and Masked Knight of Anger, Jim has 2200 LP while Masked Knight of Anger has full 4000 LP with Anchor Knight of Anger on the field in attack position. The turn is now with Jim. Drawing a card, he summons [Weathering Soldier - 4/2000/1200: During each End Phase, decrease this card's ATK by 600 points] onto the field in attack mode. He declares its attack towards Anchor Knight of Anger quickly. When Anchor Knight of Anger is destroyed, Masked Knight of Anger's LP decreases to 3500 (4000+1500-2000). Masked Knight of Anger is even angrier when Jim could destroy his monster successfully.

Masked Knight of Anger discards the last card, [Reload - Quick Play Spell: Add your hand to your Deck and shufle it. Then draw the same number of cards that you added to your Deck], on his hand into the cemetery. Then, an anchor is released from sand to catch Weathering Soldier. As Jim is looking surprised, Masked Knight of Anger explains that when Anchor Knight of Anger was destroyed, he can discard a card, Reload, into the graveyard in order to regenerate Anchor Knight of Anger onto the field in defense position.

The turn moves to Jim's end phase. He realizes that, due to the special effect of Weathering, its attack points must decrease by 600 points at each standby phase. Thus, its attack points now go down to 1400 (2000-600).

Violent Salvage
Trap Card

It's now Masked Knight of Anger's turn. He draws a card, changes Anchor Knight of Anger into attack position, and opens his face-down trap card [Violent Salvage - Trap: This card can only be activated when an Anchor Knight of Anger is on your side of the field. You can return the top 3 cards of your Graveyard into your hand. The cards returned into your hand by this effect cannot be played]. This card can be played only if Anchor Knight of Anger is on the field. It allows Masked Knight of Anger to return the top three cards in his graveyard (Reload, Giant Trunade, and Trojan Blast) onto his hand. However, the effects of those three cards can't be played.

Masked Knight of Anger send back those three cards into the cemetery again quickly. Just a moment, Jim is realizing that Masked Knight of Anger is activating the special effect of Anchor Knight of Anger again. It can inflict damages equal to 600 multiplying by a discarded card to the graveyard. Three cards are discarded, so Jim has to receive direct damages of 1800 (600*3). The anchor of Anchor Knight of Anger charges him, causing his LP decreases to 400 (2200-1800).

Masked Knight of Anger hasn't done yet. He declares the normal strike of Anchor Knight of Anger in his battle phase. Buster anchor destroys Jim's Weathering Soldier, so his LP further goes down to 300 (400+1400-1500). Karen begins to roar out loud. Meanwhile, the watching students don't cheer Jim at all. They call him the worst and force him to get up. Judai seems to be worried about Jim.

Misawa, Rei, Professor Chronos, Pharaoh, and Vice Principal Napoleon are watching the game in front of the school building. Professor Chronos begins to list the name of some italian food to say that he is hungry. He holds his hands together and prays for everybody to win. Vice Principal Napoleon and Rei don't seem to care about the games at all. They are thinking of and getting worried about Martin. Rei really gets confused by why Martin has to do this.

Inside the school, many zombies including Manjyome, Sho, and Teacher Ayukawa are walking around the hallway, moaning and looking for someone to duel. Martin is walking pass all of them and smirking. He is going to the target as planned. Vice Principal Napoleon now thinks that he may be in time to save Martin now. Thus, he starts to step back and sneak away from people. Pharaoh is aware of him, so it rubs Rei's leg to get her attention. Rei, Misawa, and Professor Chronos turn back and see Vice Principal Napoleon running into the building. Pharaoh is chasing after him quickly.

Judai is cheering Jim, Johan, and O'Brien to keep up as Rei is coming and reporting that Vice Principal Nepoleon has just run into the school. Judai is afraid that this isn't the time to care about that. Rei says madly that he isn't careful, he will be turned into a zombie. This seems to catch Judai's attention. He turns back and thinks that this should be a trouble. Rei thinks that she should bring Vice Principal Napoleon back, running off to follow him into the building. Judai sees that he has no choice but to follow Rei.

A student yells out to let the three players show more spirits. O'Brien with 2500 LP is now facing Masked Knight of Laughter with full 4000 LP. His opponent has Fool Clown on the field in attack position along with a face-up card while O'Brien has nothing. O'Brien sees all students paying attention to this duel. This situation seems dangerous. Suddenly, O'Brien is thinking that this game may be just a bait.

Chronos Peperoncino, Lasagne~ in other words, I'm hungry~ Please, everybody win...
Napoleon (Martin)
Rei Marchii... why would you do such thing...
Sho Next Time! [Johan, Jim, and O'Brien VS The Three Masked Knights]!!
Napoleon (If now...)
Rei Pharaoh... um? Vice Principal Napolean! Pharaoh!
Judai Johan! Jim! O'brien! Keep up!
Rei Judai!
Judai What?
Rei Vice Principal Napoleon just went into school!
Judai It's not time to care that kind of thing.
Rei If he's not careful, he'll become duel zombie!
Judai That will be troublesome!
Rei We've got to bring Vice Principal back.
Judai Wait! I have no choice...
Asuka Judai!
A student Do it with your spirits up you guys!
O'Brien (Every students are paying attention to this duel. This kind of situation is dangerous. So this duel was a bait!)

The turn is now with O'Brien. Drawing a card, he summons [Fire Trooper - 3/1000/1000: When you Normal Summon, Flip Summon, or Special Summon this card, send this card to the Graveyard and inflict 1000 damage to your opponent] onto the field in attack position. Once it's summoned, it disappears. Masked Knight of Laughter is laughing to see such a thing. O'Brien explains that, according to the special effect of his monster, once it's summoned onto the field, he can send it to the graveyard to inflict 1000 damage points to the opponent.

Thus, Fire Tropper disappeared quickly, and Masked Knight of Laughter's LP decreases to 3000 (4000-1000). At this moment, Masked Knight of Laughter activates the effect of [Laugh Fight - Spell: When you recieve damage to your Life Points, if a Fool Clown is on your side of the field in Attack Position, remove this card from play while it is in your Graveyard to activate its effect. Inflict an amount of damage to the opponent's Life Points equal to the damage you recieved] in his graveyard.

By removing this card in the cemetery from the game, Masked Knight of Laughter can inflict the same damage points to O'Brien. Therefore, O'Brien's LP decrease to 1500 (2500-1000). O'Brien then plays a spell card [Fire Back - Spell: Send 1 FIRE Monster from your hand into the Graveyard and Special Summon 1 FIRE Monster from your Graveyard] from his hand.

Fire Trooper
Monster Card
Laugh Fight
Spell Card

Fire Back
Spell Card

Due to its effect, he can send a fire monster in his hand into the cemetery to special summon a fire monster from his graveyard. The card he sent to graveyard is [Volcanic Buckshot - 2/600/0: When this card is sent to the Graveyard, inflict 500 damage to your opponent. If this card is sent to the Graveyard for the effect of a Blaze Accelerator card, you can send 2 Volcanic Scattershots from your hand / Deck to the Graveyard to destroy all monsted your opponent controls]. Once this card is sent to the cemetery, its special effect can inflict 500 direct damage points to the opponent. As a result, Masked Knight of Laughter's LP decreases to 2500 (3000-500).

As a result of Fire Back's effect, O'Brien calls back Fire Trooper from the graveyard onto the field in attack position. Repeatedly, he sends Fire Trooper back to the cemetery according to its effect to inflict another 1000 damage points to the opponent. This reduces Masked Knight of Laughter's LP to 1500 (2500-1000).

O'Brien still has another Fire Back card on his hand, so he plays it to restart the whole combo again. Masked Knight of Laughter is certainly shocked by the repeated play. By the effect of Fire Back, O'Brien sends another Volcanic Buckshot into the cemetery to get back Fire Trooper onto the field. When Volcanic Buckshot is in the graveyard, its special effect reduces Masked Knight of Laughter's LP to 1000 (1500-500).

Masked Knight of Laughter realizes that if O'Brien calls back Fire Trooper and he himself is attacked by its special effect again, he will be defeated. He falls onto his knees and bows to O'Brien, asking for more chance. He also cries and swears to O'Brien that he will no longer laugh, so he needs a chance from O'Brien. O'Brien looks at him seriously before deciding to give him a chance and returning Volcanic Buckshot instead of Fire Trooper onto the field in attack mode. Then, he declares to end his turn.

Masked Knight of Laughter hardly believes that O'Brien is responding to his wish. It's such a miracle for him. Anyway, he actually thinks that O'Brien is such a stupid. If he activates his face-down spell card, [Burial from a Different Dimension ~ Ichigenkara No Maisou - Quick Play Spell: Select up to 3 Monster Cards that are removed from play, and return them to their owners' Graveyards], in the next turn, he can return three Laugh Bombers removed from game into the cemetery. Then, he can activate the special effect of those three Laugh Bombers again: remove them in the cemetery from game to inflict 500 direct damage points for each Laugh Bomber to the opponent. By this, Masked Knight of Laughter believes that O'Brien will be killed by bomb, and he will be able to laugh again.

Draw Bomb
Trap Card

The turn is now with Masked Knight of Laughter. Once he draws a card, he notices O'Brien walking away with his face-down trap card opened up. He reads the texts on the trap card [Draw Bomb - Trap: This card can only be activated when your opponent draws. Inflict 1000 points of damage to the opponent's Life Points]. Masked Knight of Laughter yells out loud that he is unable to laugh as Draw Bomb explodes him and his LP decreases to 0 (1000-1000) exactly. O'Brien appears to be the first winner of this game. He let Masked Knight of Laughter go for the first time because he had known that his Draw Bomb would blow him off anyway.

While O'Brien is walking back, his Dis-Duel is glowing and taking out his duel energy. People are happy to the first victory of the group. As the smoke from the explosion is clear, Masked Knight of Laughter has been de-fused from the body of Yamanaka. Yamanaka gets up and looks confused by what's going on here. O'Brien turns to tell Johan and Jim that this game seems to be a bait. It should be okey to surrender to end the game quickly. This game has no longer any meaning.

Masked Knight of Impassivity is afraid that he is unable to let people do that. If one side is taken out, the remaining duel must still go on. He presses a button on his duel disk that launches a beam to attach with Johan's duel disk. Jim is fine with continuing the duel although it doesn't have to end with victory. Kenzan seems confused about what it means by that this duel is just a lure. Asuka assumes that they haven't planned to hand over food from the beginning.

The other students seemingly don't care about the truth. They declare that they can't accept surrender, and people must win because this game is bet by food. Nobody is reasonable to understand that this game may be just a lure to draw their attention to the real plan of Martin. Meanwhile, O'Brien calls his Blue squad to line up and gives an order to let them take off quickly. As everybody is responding to him actively, O'Brien looks at the other side with concern.

summary - second period
episode 125 summarized by Janime

Vice Principal Napoleon is running along the hallway of Duel Academia to find Martin. Pharaoh, Rei, and Judai are chasing after him. Judai doesn't understand what all of this mean. Martin is now walking pass the front entrance where everybody is watching the duel. He seems to have no idea that Amon is following him. At the duel stage outside the school, the students gradually lose patience because of hunger, keeping on complaining. Jim sees that the situation doesn't look good. If this duel is just a lure, there may be a riot. Thus, Jim thinks that he should try to finish this duel as soon as possible. It may not be easy, and the fact is that he now has 300 LP left while his opponent has 3500 LP left.

The turn is now with Jim. Drawing a card, he discards Sample Fossil on his hand into the cemetery in order to activate the spell card [Specimen Inspection ~ Hyouhon No Etsuran - Spell: You can activate this card by sending 1 Monster Card in your hand to the Graveyard. Declare a Type and Level. Your opponent sends 1 monster with both the declared Type and Level from his/her hand or Deck to the Graveyard]. According to its effect, Jim is going to declare a level and type of a monster. Masked Knight of Anger has to send the monster with the same declared information in his deck or hand into the graveyard.

Jim declares a Warrior monster with level 4. Masked Knight of Anger looks at his deck and hand, finding only Anchor Knight of Anger that falls into the condition. Thus, he discards the second Anchor Knight of Anger in his hand into the graveyard (The first Anchor Knight of Anger is on the field now).

Jim then plays [Fossil Fusion ~ Spell: Remove the monsters listed on a Fusion Monster Card that include Fossil in its card name from your and your opponent's Graveyard from the play, and select 1 Fusion Monster that includes Fossil in its card name from your Fusion Deck and Special Summon it. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon)]. According to its effect, he can remove Weathering Soldier in his cemetery and Anchor Knight of Anger in Masked Knight of Anger's graveyard from game in order to special summon [Skullpawn, the Cenozoic Fossil Knight ~ Shinseidai Kaseki Kishi Skullpawn - ?/2000] onto the field in attack position.

As Masked Knight of Anger is looking surprised, Jim tells him that he hasn't done yet. He then plays a spell card [Time Stream - Spell: Pay half of your Life Points. Target 1 Fusion Monster on your side of the field with Cenozoic or Mesozoic in its name to activate, and change the type of a monster in your opponent's Cemetery designated for Fusion by that monster into the target's type. Return that monster to the Fusion deck and Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster identical to the target's type, disregarding Summoning Requirements. At this time, if you targeted a Cenozoic, choose a Mesozoic and Special Summon it. If you targeted a Mesozoic, choose a Paleozoic and Special Summon it. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.)].

Due to its effect, Jim first has to pay a half of his LP to play this card. Therefore, his LP decreases to 150 (300/2). Then, he says that Time Stream moves time to go up (Older). It helps his Skullpawn, the Cenozoic Fossil Knight, evolve to [Skullknight, the Mesozoic Fossil Knight ~ Chuuseidai Kaseki Kishi Skullknight - ?/2400].

Jim then plays another Time Stream, paying a half of his LP to evolve Skullknight, the Mesozoic Fossil Knight into the older-geologic-era monster, [Skullking, the Paleozoic Fossil Knight ~ Koseidai Kaseki Kishi Skullking - 8/2800/1300: This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of Fossil Fusion. If there is a monster on your opponent's side of the field, you can attack an addition time during the same Battle Phase. When you attack a monster in Defense Position and this card's ATK is higher than the DEF of the Defense Position monster, inflict Difference as Battle Damage to the opponent's Life Points]. His LP now goes further to 75 (150/2).

Time Stream
Spell Card
Skullknight, the Mesozoic Fossil Knight
Monster Card

Skullking, the Paleozoic Fossil Knight
Monster Card

Note: Geologic era behind Jim's deck

Jim is an archaeologist who also studies about geology and dinosaur fossil. His monsters are applying the concept of geologic era to represent their evolution. Time frame of the geologic era is as following:

Cenozoic (Shinseidai) = 66 million years ago to present
Mesozoic (Chuuseidai) = 252-66 million yeras ago
Paleozoic (Koseidai) = 542-252 million years ago

The older the geologic period is, the stronger a monster is. There are many other older eras than these three such as Neoproterozoic or Mesoproterozoic. Anime just presents only the three eras for Jim's monsters.

They students are getting excited to the great monster Jim can summon. Anyway, they claim his success for food rather than his victory. Jim declares the attack of Skullking, the Paleozoic Fossil Knight to destroy Anchor Knight of Anger. This strike reduces Masked Knight of Anger's LP to 2200 (3500+1500-2800).

Masked Knight of Anger claims that his monster is immortal, discarding a spell card into the cemetery in order to call Anchor Knight of Anger back onto the field in defense position. The anchor of Anchor Knight of Anger is launched from desert to catch an arm of Skullking, the Paleozoic Fossil Knight in order to hold its body up from sand. Jim tells his opponent that this is the time he has waited for.

According to the special effect of Skullking, the Paleozoic Fossil Knight, if there is a monster on the opponent's side of the field, Skullking, the Paleozoic Fossil Knight can do one more attack in the same battle phase. Also, if Skullking, the Paleozoic Fossil Knight attacks a defending monster with lower defense points than the attack points of Skullking, the Paleozoic Fossil Knight, difference damage points are calculated normally and inflicted to the opponent.

As a result, Skullking, the Paleozoic Fossil Knight attacks slashes and destroys Anchor Knight of Anger. Masked Knight of Anger is blown away because of explosion as his LP decreases to 0 (2200+600-2800) exactly. Everybody is cheering up and happy to the second victory of the group. Kenzan and Asuka then turn to the last game of Johan. He has 1000 LP left with two gem stones in his spell/trap card zones. His opponent has nothing on his field but keeps on playing spell combo to reduce Johan's LP. Johan is afraid that if he can reverse the game in this turn, he will finally be defeated.

Johan looks at the cards on his hand, and they are Gem Beast Emerald Turtle, Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle, Last Resort, Rainbow Ancient City - Rainbow Ruin, Induced Summon, and Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus. He bets his fate to the field spell card, activating [Rainbow Ancient City - Rainbow Ruin ~ Niji No Kodaitoshi - Rainbow Ruin - Field Spell: This card gains the effect corresponding to the number of monsters that include Gem Beast in your Spell & Trap Card Zone: 1 or more): This card cannont be destroyed by a card effect. 2 or more): Once per turn, you can decrease damage to your Life Points by half. 3 or more): By sending 1 monster that includes Gem Beast in its card name from the field to the Graveyard, negate the activate of a Spell or Trap Card and destroy it. 4 or more): One per turn, draw 1 card from your Deck. 5 cards): Once per turn, Normal Summon 1 monster that includes Gem Beast in its card name from your Spell & Trap Card Zone to an open Monster Card Slot].

The theme changes into an ancient duel stage with rainbow in the sky. Johan then summons [Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus ~ Hougyokujyuu Sapphire Pegasus - 4/1800/1200: When this card is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or Special Summoned successfully, you can place 1 monster that includes Gem Beast in its card name from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard face-up in an open Spell/Trap Card Zone. When this card is destroyed, instead of sending it to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell/Trap Card Zones. When this card is in your Spell/Trap Card Zone it is treated as a Continuous Spell Card] onto the field in attack position.

Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus finally has to come out. Johan activates its special effect that once Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus is successfully summoned onto the field, he can place a Gem Beast monster on his hand/deck/graveyard into his spell/trap card zone. Thus, Johan places Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle on his hand in one of his spell/trap card zones. He calls it Sapphire Advent.

At this moment, Masked Knight of Impassivity plays another spell card, Silent Void, from his hand. As it affected Gem Beast Topaz Tiger before, Gem Geast Sapphire Pegasus has to be destroyed, and it remains as a Sapphire gem in Johan's spell/trap card zone. Johan says that Masked Knight of Impassivity has already fallen into his trap. He tells Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle to show its power.

Ruby gem is broken, and there appears [Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle ~ Hougyokujyuu Ruby Carbuncle - 3/300/300: When this card is in your Spell/Trap Card Zone, you can Special Summon it and Special Summon all monsters that include Gem Beast in their card names in your Spell/Trap Card Zone. (This effect can only be used if you have empty Monster Card Zones.) When this card is destroyed, instead of sending it to the Graveyard, place it face-up in your Spell/Trap Card Zone. When in your Spell/Trap Card Zone, treat it as a Continuous Spell Card] on the field in attack mode.

This is considered special summon according to the special effect of Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle. In addition to its whole effect, Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle can break all gem stones in Johan's spell/trap card zones so that all Gem Beast monsters can be special summoned. Ruby gem on Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle's tail begins to glow, and ruby aura is spreaded out to revive all other Gem Beast monsters in spell/trap card zones.

Because Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle was successfully summoned onto the field, Masked Knight of Impassivity prepares to play another Silent Void on his hand to destroy it. If Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle is gone, Johan is unable to revive other Gem Beast monsters from his spell/trap card zones. Thus, Johan certainly doesn't allow Masked Knight of Impassivity to destroy Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle. He activates one of five effects on his field spell, Rainbow Ancient City - Rainbow Ruin. Due to its effect, when he has more than 3 or more Gem Beast monsters (He now has Topaz, Amber, Sapphire gems in the spell/trap card zones) in his spell/trap card zones, he can send one of them, Topaz gem, into the cemetery in order to negate an effect of a spell or trap card.

As a result, the effect of Silent Void is negated, and Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle can remain on the field. Johan calls back Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus and Gem Beast Amber Mammoth from spell/trap card zones onto the field in attack position. Both monsters have waited for this time while telling the opponent to be prepared. Johan declares the direct attack of both monsters towards Masked Knight of Impassivity. Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus and Gem Beast Amber Mammoth charge Masked Knight of Impassivity together, causing his LP to decrease shortly to 0 (2300-1800-1700).

Masked Knight of Impassivity is de-fused in the air and is separate from the body of Harada. Gem Beast Amber Mammoth uses its trunk to catch Harada before he falls onto the ground. The game ends by the victory of Johan. He breaths a sign of relief as Jim is walking in to join him. The students are cheering up and happy to the victory of everybody. They expect to get food after this. Johan turns to Jim, and they agree to that this situation is very bad. If this game is actually a lure, there is high possibilty that no food will be provided or there may be other traps.

Meanwhile, Martin is in the middle of desert not far from Duel Academia. He stops walking and smirking. O'Brien and his squad are now at the power supply. Amon is now watching Martin behind. Then, Vice Principal Napoleon finally can reach him, calling for Martin. He is running towards Martin, so Amon is sliding away to hide himself. Vice Principal Napoleon goes behind Martin, holds his arms, and asks what all of the things he has done mean. Martin still looks calm. Inside his dark mind, the real devil is talking to real Martin sitting and holding himself in darkness with sad face. The devil knows that this is the real source of his darkness.

Judai, Rei, and Pharaoh have just arrived. Judai asks Martin directly why he has been in this place. Meanwhile, Amon is hiding himself nearby and listening to what's going on. He feels that this seems to be interesting. Martin doesn't reply, so Judai faces him closer and waits for response. Martin's eyes turn big. The devil inside him gets excited to see him closely. However, he tries to tell himself that time hasn't come yet. Pharaoh can feel unfriendly aura from Martin, so it begins to roar.

Judai realizes that Martin is using the duel as a lure to get the power supply. However, as far as he can see, Martin is here in blank desert and doesn't go to the power supply area. Currently, O'Brien along with his Blue squad is currently guarding the power supply zone. Judai tells Martin to return with him; otherwise, he has to drag him back forcibly. Vice Principal Napoleon then steps in front to protect Martin. He tells Judai and Rei that he won't forgive them if they harm his son. Judai turns to Rei before getting shocked to the fact that Martin is Vice Principal Napoleon's son.

Vice Principal Napoleon is shy, and his face turns red. Rei still doubts why Martin's lastname is Kanou. Vice Principal Napoleon reveals that Martin was brought up by his ex-wife, so he was always separate from him. Judai is surprised by that he has never heard of this story. Rei seems sad to Martin for his family problem.

Napoleon Martin! Martin! Martin. What is meaning of all this?
Devil Monster So that was it. The source of the darkness in your heart...
Rei Marchii!
Judai Martin! Martin! Why are you here!
(Rei) How interesting!
Judai Martin!
Martin Judai. I can see you. But not yet...
Judai Did you plan on to take power plant by duel as bait! But, this is completely not it? Anyways, let's go back! If you don't, I'll drag you!
Napoleon Halt! You will keep your hands off of my son!
Rei Hum?
Judai

Son!?

Rei But Marcchi is a "Kanou"...
Napoleon Martin is in my ex-wife's custody.
Judai Huh? You're divorced...? That's news to me!
Napoleon Besides the point, since Martin is always seperated...

At this moment, Martin sneers coldly, revealing his demon arm. He seizes Napolean's throat and holds him as a hostage. Judai is very surprised by seeing the demon claw. Martin suggests them give up. He tells everybody that his really desired place is here not even the power supply. Rei calls Judai to pay attention to many zombi students walking out from Duel Academia towards them. Manjyome, Sho, and Teacher Ayukawa are also in the zombi group. Judai turns to ask Martin again what he is thinking. Martin doesn't but only says that Judai will be pleased with it. Judai doesn't understand at all and asks what Martin is talking about.

Martin's devil arm then glows before he releases Vice Principal Napoleon. Duel energy is gathered at the arm before he punches it onto the ground. The earth is split as fiendish roar is screaming from the crack. Everybody is getting surprised by what's going on. The earth is shaking as the pillars erupt from desert around Judai's position. Johan's group in front of the school can feel that the earth is shaking while O'Brien's group at the power supply zone on the left side of Duel Academia can see glowing light from the right side of the school.

There is no doubt that they are the same pillars in the spot area where the three legendary demon cards are located on (episode 48 and 49). While people are getting confused, the spirit ball of Teacher Daitokuji emerges from Pharaoh's mouth. He calls Judai before Judai turns back and looks surprised by seeing Teacher Daitokuji in a spirit form. Rei and Vice Principal Napoleon are pretty shocked. Vice Principal Napoleon thinks that Teacher Daitokuji is a ghost. Teacher Daitokuji excuses him to be a rude person. It seems that he isn't please with being called a ghost.

Teacher Daitokuji gets back to the point and tells Judai that here is exactly where the three legendary demons are sealed. Judai is getting shocked as turning back to see Martin. Martin is chuckling and saying that Judai seems to have an interesting friend. However, his friend is now on his way, so Martin would like to get rid off him. Martin's eyes glow, and causing Teacher Daitokuji to return to his spirit form and go back to sleep in Pharaoh's mouth. Judai looks at Martin and doubts what Martin wants to do with the three legendary demon cards. Martin doesn't answer anything but laughing. A demonic roar is coming from below, and it's almost time for the three legendary demons to revive.

to be continued...

Judai How surprised! Martin's father is actually Vice Principal Napoleon!
Sho Big Brother~ Is it okey for you to play with zombies? If you don't hurry, the three demon cards will be taken.
Judai Martin, you are trying to get the three demons in hand. What do you intend to do?
Sho Next time!!, [Judai VS Manjyome - Dark Sword the Dragon Knight]!!
Judai Move out, Manjyome! This isn't the time to duel!
