Zombi students were walking around Duel Academia. Even zombi Sho and Manjyome were moaning for Judai to duel with. By the support of many friends, Judai finally reached the infirmary but he was too late. Teacher Ayukawa had already become a zombie, so Judai had to duel her in order to save Rei. The duel was so intense that the whole infirmary was destroyed. However, Judai and Johan could save Rei out successfully.

Outside Duel Academia are flying monsters while inside are zombi students. Many zombi students are approaching the door that Kenzan and some students are trying to shut it down. The door gets stuck, so they are attemping very hard to close it before the zombi students can get in. Kenzan looks across and notices Sho moaning behind the zombi group. He looks a bit surprised as trying to get out. An Obelisk Blue student holds his shoulder to stop him from doing something stupid, asking whether Kenzan wants to become a zombie. Kenzan turns to look at Sho again before stepping back. Although he is worried about his senior, he decides to close the door. The students are now helping one another to hold the door from the zombi students outside.

On the other side, Misawa is helping another group of students to create a barricade in the hallway by using many furnitures. He believes that the way to the gym should be blocked by this barricade. Asuka is currently with him and looking through the window. There are many zombi students stumbling in desert, and one of them is Manjyome chuckling and looking at her. Asuka looks a bit concerned about him as Misawa is walking to the window to join her.

Zombi students	Duel...
Student	Why is the door stopped!
Kenzan	Well, close your mouth and close the door!
Sho	Duel...
Kenzan	Marufuji sempai!
Student 1	Don't act like a fool!
Student 2	Do you want to become zombie?
Sho	Duel...

Misawa	By this, all the way to gym has been blocked.

Inside the gym, Jim is working with other students to create wood barricades. The students aren't familar with this workshop, so they look a bit rush. Jim turns to them and tell them to slow down. To create good barricades that the zombies can't break through, they have to work properly.

Meanwhile, O'Brien is dissembling his duel disk and reassembling it into a gun. Amon walks in and shows his impression over good preparation as an ex-soldier of O'Brien. O'Brien doesn't reply. He gets up and gives his order to the group of Obelisk officers to prepare for monsters' assault. He leads them in a march as leaving. Amon looks at O'Brien walking away and turns back to the students in the gym. He can notice that many students are losing hope and getting exhausted. They are full of anxiety, fear, and despair due to starvation. By this, the devil master (Martin) can pull darkness in their hearts from light and enjoy it.

Judai is placing a cold rag on Rei's head. Rei finally wakes up as opening her eyes slowly. She discovers Judai and Johan watching her nearby. Johan is glad to see Rei getting better. This seems that the medicine is working well. Rei smiles shortly before looking sad. Seeing Rei's face, Judai asks whether there is something wrong. Rei looks up and is afraid to say what she experienced.

On the other side, Professor Chronos and Vice Principal Napoleon are walking around the gym to check the remaining students. Professor Chronos finds that many students are missing, and many of them have already become zombies. One of them is Kanou Martin whom he doesn't his whereabout. Hearing of Martin name, Vice Principal Napoleon becomes very worried about his boy.

Still looking weak, Rei blames herself for what happened to Teacher Ayukawa and Martin. Judai tries to comfort her that it isn't her fault at all. If people would like to blame, they should blame this weird world. Johan agrees with Judai, and Rei seems to feel better. Then, she bursts into surprised giggles, laughing and dancing around. She opens up her sheet and tells Ruby Carbuncle and Winged Kuriboh to stop playing under her blanket. Knowing that they are disturbing her, both monster fly out and keep on fighting against each other as if they are arguing that it isn't its fault. Johan and Judai look a bit worried about their partners before ending up with smile. Rei looks slightly confused by their act.

Jim	Hey carpenters. You should nail the nails properly. We have to make nice barricade so that zombies can't come in. OK?
Amon	You indeed are ex-soldier. Working hard on duel disks that can be called a duelist's weapon.
O'Brien	Blues! Using any way, you should defend against monsters in one small group! Let's go!
Amon	(As time goes on by, students lose hope and is becoming exhausted. Anxiety and fear. In the despair made by starvation... He can pull darkness in heart from light. Just as though as if he enjoys it.)
Johan	She looks a lot better. It seems that the medicine is working.
Judai	Yes. Rei, what is it?
Sho	Tadachi, Anbo-kun. Iketa, Uchimura-kun. This boy. That boy has become zombies ne. Ojawa-Kun, Onda-San as well. And Kanou Martin-Kun whom we don't know whereabout. He has gone ne?

Judai	No it's not. It's not your fault. Thinking about it, it's because of this weird world.

At the dark library, Martin is looking at Duel Academia's picture on the table. His devil arm glows over the picture as he says that his empire is getting closer to his target. He calls for Judai to wait just a little more. His voice now changes from Martin's voice to the original devil monster's kid voice.

Another night time has come. Tome-San is calling everything for food time. Johan and Judai get excited by meal time they have waited for. The students are almost starving, going to the table and looking for food quickly. Tome-San tells everyone to calm down before opening a cover of a tray. There appears something like bean curd or jelly that the students don't understand. Tome-San feels sorry to everybody that food almost runs out, and there is only soup left. She just tries to make it into jelly. The students don't seem to listen, fighting to get it without order. Tome-San tries to calm them down and let them go in line. One person should get only one piece.

A Blue student, [Harada], grabs a pice and puts it into his mouth quickly. Judai, Johan, and Kenzan are amazed by soup jelly that looks yummy for them. Just hearing of those words that admire her food, Tome-San looks very happy. Judai, Johan, and Kenzan begin to eat it, and say again that they are delicious. Kenzan finishes it and even licks at the plate. Although it's very yummy, it isn't enough for him. Tome-San looks sad suddenly, so Judai turns to Kenzan and looks mad at him. Johan says that Kenzan shouldn't have said that, so Kenzan finally has to apologize her.

While Tome-San is feeling better, Harada gets into her and asks for more food. Merely one piece isn't enough for him. Harada's friends, [Teraoka] and [Yamakana], agree to Harada and join him to ask Tome-San for more pieces. Not only three of them, the other students hurry to get more soup jelly left in the tray. It's useless for Tome-San to stop them since nobody is listening to her at all. Judai can't stand watching anymore. He holds Harada's shoulder to stop his stupid act. He explains that Tome-San is trying to save food as much as she can. Johan adds that Tome-San cooked it by her careful thought. Thus, Kenzan concludes that they should stop complaining to Tome-San.

Harada doesn't listen as turning to tell them to shut up. Suddenly, O'Brien staying on the upper deck like a guard clicks his gun duel disk to stop chaos. He intimidates them to stop arguing before he is going to shut their mouths by his own way. People are now calm down and seem to return to their normal stage. However, Kenzen is trembling with worry. If the food storage wasn't attacked by the zombies, they should be able to go there and get more food already. Harada, Teraoka, and Yamanaka turn back quickly once they hear this fact from Kenzan. Judai reminds Kenzan that they said they wouldn't say this topic again. Kenzan cries out abruptly. Although he knows that he shouldn't say, he couldn't help complaining because of this suffer. Johan thinks the situation doesn't look good. At this rate, food will run out soon, and nobody will survive.

Martin	Certainly my empire, with all its might is going closer to you. Judai. It's going to get there soon. A little more from now on. (Really little more)

During night time, the Obelisk officers are still guarding the school outside. Harada, Teraoka, and Yamanaka are sneaking out from the gym, moving to the food storage alone. They have reached the barricade set up to prevent zombi students. Harada knows that if they can get over this barricade, they can reach food. The paradise is waiting for them. Thus, three of them decide to climb across to the other side. They land successfully without any sign of zombies. Yamanaka thinks that they will feel hungry if they feel relieved.

As Harada is leading the group to move on, three zombi Ojama Trios appear in front of them along with a march of many zombi students. Three bets are caught, so Ojama Black suggests to fish them. Manjyome moved up to the front line and said that he would eat them first. The three students look scared as zombi Sho is moving out to join Manjyome. He moans as telling Manjyome that he should give more respect to the opponent (Although he is a zombie, he still remembers his duiel concept). Both of them are chuckling sinisterly while looking towards their three targets.

Harada, Teraoka, and Yamanaka are so frightened that they begin to run off. There are all zombi students every where they run along the hallway, so they end up with going into a nearby room. It's the school library. Harada hears the eating sound of someone inside. Everybody walks into the library and sees a boy sitting on a table and having a dinner. They recognize him well as Kanou Martin. Yamanaka begins to asks what Martin has been doing here. Then, Harada notices Martin eating such a nice steak. Everybody rushes in and complains how Martin can have such a good food here. Harada can't stand that, handing over to get food from him.

Martin stops him by his devil arm. He asks whether Harada wants to eat this meat that much. Harada yells out loud that he just wants to fill out his empty stomach no matter what. Martin smirks as seeing them starving and the increase in darkness of their hearts. Three of them look confused and don't understand what Martin is talking about. Martin finally releases Harada's hand and even gives them his steak. The students seem uncertain, so Martin asks what's wrong with them. He encourages them to eat because their darkness of hearts is requiring this. Harada, Teraoka, and Yamanaka look at one another before taking the steak to eat quickly.

Harada	This is the place! If we get over this, the food! Our heaven waits! Okay! No zombie.
Teraoka	Yes,
Yamanaka	Very empty. If you loosen your tension, your stomach gets empty.
Harada	Let's go!
Ojama Yellow	Ing~ the pumpkin rolled here by itself~(speech figure: the luck(prey) has rolled in)

Martin	Starved. So much that darkness of heart rises.

Martin	Yes. I will give these to you. What's wrong? Eat it. While trapped in darkness in heart.

At the gym, Judai is now sleeping well while Ruby Carbuncle, Pharaoh, and Winged Kuriboh are sleeping like good friends. Meanwhile, Harada, Teraoka, and Yamanaka have already finished the steak Martin shared them. Harada turns to talk with Martin politely, asking for more food. Teraoka supports his friend that they are very hungry. Martin tells them that the result is the same. No matter how much they eat, they aren't satisfied. Martin suggests that if they are stronger and have power, they don't have to beg for anyone. His voice changes from Martin's voice to his original devil voice.

Then, Polymerization card appears on the upper deck beside them. Martin tells them that there is power they need behind that card. It's their choice to make a decision. Martin chuckles as if he has already known the answer. Three students begin to walk closer and stop in front of the card. The light from the card then glows and takes them inside. Harada, Teraoka, and Yamanaka open their eyes again and discover themselves in a grotesque organic world. Three spirts emerge from the wall and flood into their bodies. They scream before the fusion process is done. Martin smirks as standing up and calling them [Three Masked Knights ~ Kamen No Sankishi], who were born from fusion summon (Between humans and monster spirits).

Harada	Kanou... No, Kanou... kun. You still do have something to eat right?
Teraoka	We're hungry..
Yamanaka	so that this isn't...
Martin	It doesn't matter how much you eat. It cannot satisfy your mind. But if you get strong, if you have power, you don't have to beg to anyone. Beyond that card, there is that power that will satisfy you. What are you going to do? It's you who choose. Three Masked knights. Fusion summon.

At the following day, Judai is calling for Harada, Teraoka, and Yamanaka in the gym, but there is no sign of them at all. People are joining together as Johan says that there is no use. Those three people don't seem to be in this area. O'Brien and Jim feel responsible that they missed them. Jim found a window frame in the toilet missing, so three of them might sneak out through that way. Professor Chronos and Vice Principal Napoleon realize that those three students were very hungry, so they might get out to find some food.

Suddenly, Martin calls confused students in the gym for their attention, talking through the main speaker. He introduces himself as the new ruler of this world, Kanou Martin. Hearing Martin name, Rei gets up from her bed quickly. Vice Pincipal Napoleon also gets worried about his boy. Only Amon is smirking. Judai doubts whether the speaker is real Martin, asking whether he is safe and where he is now. Martin realizes that the person talking to him is Yuki Judai. Kenzan is surprised by that Martin can here the voice from the gym as well.

Rei finally gets up from her bed, calling Martin by his nickname, Marrchii, to let him show up. She is very worried about him. Martin would like her to stop calling him like that because he is now the king of Martin empire who is controling all zombies. People seem pretty shocked especially Rei and Vice Principal Napoleon. Johan thinks that Martin is very weird, so does Judai. Martin knows that people are struggling his attempt to build his country. That may work, but they have to end up with starving. Johan asks what Martin intends to say.

Martin says that there is a lot of food on his side. He is fine to share it, but it certainly isn't free. He would like to make a trade between food storage an power supply on Judai's side. The students listening to this offer get up excitedly with hope. Judai reminds himself of the power supply where he, Jim, and Johan previously investigated. Jim tried his best to activate the power, but it didn't work. Judai says that the power supply didn't work because it's covered by sand. Thus, it should be useless. Johan doubts why Martin needs something like that. Kenzan whispers Judai that this is such a good offer, so they should accept the trade for the broken power supply.

Jim shakes his head to disagree. He thinks that there is possible for the power supply to be working. Judai turns to Martin and tells him to stop talking about this but to help one another to get away from this world. Martin refuses to do before laughing without explaining anything. Judai looks mad a bit as rejecting the trade. All students aren't pleased with his response. He asks what Judai's doing by rejecting to gain food.

Judai makes a new offer that they should settle this up in a duel. The bets are food storage and power supply. Martin laughs since he has expected that this would be Judai's answer. He tells people to go outside because he has already prepared the opponents for them.

Judai	Harada! Teraoka! Yamanaka!
Johan	No use. All of those three are not in this area.
O'Brien	Guards must have missed them.
Jim	The frame of window on toilet was missing. Sorry. We should have paid more attention.
Chronos	Those three were particularly hungry ne.
Napoleon	They got out of here because they wanted to eat food.
Martin	Attention duelists in confusion. I am new ruler of this world, Kanou Martin.

Napoleon	Martin!
Judai	Martin? You were safe. Where are you now? Um?

Judai	Powerhouse... That place was covered with sand so it became useless.
Johan	Why with such place?
Kenzan	It's good offer saurus. Big brother, trade it saurus.
Jim	No, it's waste to give it up. There are still possibilities that it will be recovered.
Judai	Martin, what happened? Don't say such boring stuff. Let's gather our powers to escape this world!
Martin	Well, no I won't.
Judai	I will reject the offer!

Student 2	What are you doing!

Judai	Instead, bet those two by duel!
Martin	I thought you would come out that way. Okay. I will prepare your opponents soon. Look outside.

People come to the front of the school, seeing some familiar opponents standing in desert. They are very surprised when they realized that those three enemies are Harada, Teraoka, and Yamanaka turned into Masked monsters. Judai wonders what happened to them. Martin explains that they are [Three Masked Knight ~ Kamen No San Kishi] born from the fusion between human beings and spirits. Judai is very shocked by the fusion as getting mad at Martin. He asks angrily what Martin did to them. Martin doesn't answer but just laughs. Rei and Vice Principal Napoleon are very worried about Martin now.

Judai gets angrier, so he decides to go out. Johan suddenly holds his shoulder to stop him. He says that the big boss (Martin) doesn't show up, so Judai doesn't have to go out. Also, he realizes that Judai still has some damages left from the duel with Teacher Ayukawa, so he offeres himself to duel. Jim and O'Brien also offer to go. They think that it's their fault to let those three student escape last night, so this should be their responsibility.

Note: Johan calls Martin "Taichou" which means "Captain" position in Japanese martial art or fighting. If there are many people in a team, the last person is called "Captain" or "Taichou", which is the higest and strongest position. Johan accepts Judai as the captain of Duel Academia team who should fight Martin who is the captain of zombie empire.

As a result, Johan, Jim, and O'Brien step in the front line to face the three masked knights. Johan faces Masked Knight of Impassivity (Harada), Jim faces Masked Knight of Angered (Teraoka), and O'Brien faces Masked Knight of Laughter (Yamanaka). Judai counts his friends on these duels. Everybody stands by his duel disk, declaring the duel together.

Judai	What happened?
Martin	Three Masked knights. Fusion between spirit and human. They will be your opponents.

Johan	Wait! Their big boss doesn't show up, so you don't have to go out. Besides, you have duel damage from duel with Ayukawa-sensei. I'm going.
Judai	Johan...
O'Brien	I'm going as well.
Jim	Me too.
O'Brien	It's mainly our fault that those three escaped.

Johan declares the first turn for Masked Knight of Impassivity. Once Masked Knight of Impassivity draws a card, he ends his turn quickly. Johan is very surprised by that his opponent neither summoned nor set up a card. He doubts what Masked Knight of Impassivity is planning to do.

The turn is now with Johan. Drawing a card, he summons [Gem Beast Amber Mammoth ~ Hougyokujyuu Amber Mammoth - 4/1700/1600: When this card is destroyed, instead of sending it to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell/Trap Card Zones. When this card is in your Spell/Trap Card Zone it is treated as a Continuous Spell Card. In addition, when a monster that includes Gem Beast in its card name on your side of the field is targeted for an attack, you can change the attack target of that attack to this card] onto the field in attack position.

Johan doesn't know what the opponent is planning to do, so he tells Gem Beast Amber Mammoth to be careful. Gem Beast Amber Mammoth asks what he is talking about. It plans to trample the opponent under its feet. Johan realizes the intention of his monster well, declaring the direct attack towards Masked Knight of Impassivity quickly. Masked Knight of Impassivity is charged and knocked out while his LP decreases to 2300 (4000-1700). The students watching the game are glad to see that Johan is taking the lead. Johan has realized that it isn't solid vision but reality in this world. The impact is also real.

On the other side, Masked Knight of Impassivity is getting up as if he feels nothing. Johan sees his opponent looking weird because he neither says anything nor shows any expression. Masked Knight of Impassivity comes from fusion between spirits and humans. The body belongs to Harada, but he is taken control by the knight spirit. Thus, this kind of opponent should be different from zombies. Johan then ends his turn at this point.

The game between O'Brien and Masked Knight of Laughter is starting. As his name, Masked Knight of Laughter is laughing before beginning his turn lively. Drawing a card, he sets up a face-down card and summons [Fool Clown - 1/0: When this card is summoned, send all cards in your hand to the Graveyard] onto the field in attack position. It's a spinning top monster that giggles in delight. By its effect, when it's summoned onto the field, he has to discard all cards in his hand into the cemetery.

Masked Knight of Laughter encourages O'Brien to laugh, but O'Brien looks calm by his usual look. Seeing O'Brien not laughing, Masked Knight of Laughter beings his next move. He discards all cards on his hand into cemetery, and there appears big explosion on O'Brien's side. Masked Knight of Laughter explains the effect of three [Laugh Bomber - 1/0/0: If a Fool Clown is on your side of the field, remove this card in your Graveyard from play to activate its effect. Inflict 500 points of damage to the opponent's Life Points] that he discarded into the graveyard that he can remove them in the cemetery from the game to inflict 500 damage points for each card to O'Brien.

As a result, O'Brien's LP decreases to 2500 (4000-500*3). Masked Knight of Laughter hopes O'Brien will laugh by this play, but he is upset to that O'Brien is still quiet. People begin to be worried about O'Brien as Asuka is thinking that those bombers seem very troublesome. The students watching the game are not pleased to seeing O'Brien receiving the attack easily. They begin to complain because this game is bet by food for everyday. They also tell O'Brien that they won't accept his defeat, turning to depress Jim by the same reason.

Anchor Knight of Anger Monster Card

Masked Knight of Anger claims that he must be the winner. Jim with opposite lively look tells him to start his turn (He calls him "Angry Boy"). Masked Knight of Anger draws a card, sets up a face-down card, and summons [Anchor Knight of Anger ~ Ikari No Anger Knight -/1500/600: By discarding 1 card in your hand when this card is destroyed as a result of battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. By discarding 1 card in your hand, inflict 600 points of damage to the opponent's Life Points. This effect can only be used 3 times per turn] onto the field in attack position.

Masked Knight of Anger tells him to taste his anger. Jim makes fun of him by saying that he looks very scary (Look too serious). Anchor Knight of Anger swings its anchor towards Jim as Jim is dancing around to dodge the anchor. Meanwhile, Masked Knight of Anger activates the special effect of Anchor Knight of Anger by discarding three cards, Trojan Blast, Magical Mallet, and Giant Tsunade, from his hand into the cemetery. According to this play, Jim has to receive 600 damage points for each card discarded. Thus, his LP decreases to 2200 (4000-600*3).

Meanwhile, Martin is now about to leave the studio room where he used to talk to people at the gym. On the other side, Judai, Kenzan, and Asuka are concentrating to the game. Judai hopes that Johan, Jim, and O'Brien will try their best to win this game and get food in hands. Otherwise, he is afraid that the other students will lose patience and can't bear hunger anymore.
