Inside the duel arena of Duel Academia, the exhibition match between Judai and Johan is continued. Johan has 2900LP left as Judai has 4000LP left. Also, Judai has three monsters, E-Hero Neos, N-Groun Mole, and N-Aqua Dolphin on the field in attack position. On the other hand, Johan doesn't have any monster but two Emerald and Cobalt gemstones left on the field after the monsters were destroyed. All people including other three new students - Jim, Amon, and O'Brien - are paying attention to the game on the audience stage. Jim is impressed by such a wonderful Gem Beast monsters of Johan. Although they are destroyed, the can remain as gemstones in spell/trap card zones. Even Amon is fasinated by such a unique Gem Beast monster as a rumor states. "How fun! I have never seen this kind of monsters until now", Judai says excitedly.

On the other side, Professor Cobra is chuckling as working on the secret process. The mysterious black liguid begins to form into a solid object with glowing miniature yellow element floating inside.

The current turn is with Johan. Drawing a card, he summons [Gem Beast Amethyst Cat ~ Hougyokujyuu Amethyst Cat - 3/1200: When this card is destroyed, instead of sending it to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell/Trap Card Zones. When this card is in your Spell/Trap Card Zone it is treated as a Continuous Spell Card. In addition, by decreasing this card's ATK by half, this card can attack your opponent's Life Points directly] onto the field in attack position.

Gem Beast Amethyst Cat greets how Johan is and notices that he seems to have a tough fight. Johan replies that it may be so. Gem Beast Amethyst Cat turns to Judai and looks unfriendly. It can't forgive anybody going to make Johan suffer. Judai gets very scared by such a threatening act from Gem Beast Amethyst Cat.

Later, Johan plays the spell card [Jewel Guidance ~ Hougyoku No Michibiki - Spell: When there are 2 or more monsters with Gem Beast in their name in your Spell/Trap Card Zone, Special Summon 1 monster that includes Gem Beast in its name from your Deck. Also, your opponent can draw 1 card]. This card can be played when Johan has at least two Gem Beast monsters (Gem Beast Emerald Turtle and Gem Beast Cobalt Eagle) in his spell/trap card zones. It allows him to special summon a Gem Beast monster from his deck and allows Judai to draw a card.

Once Judai draws a card, Johan selects to summon [Gem Beast Topaz Tiger ~ Hougyokujyuu Topaz Tiger - ?/1600: When this card is destroyed, instead of sending it to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell/Trap Card Zones. When this card is in your Spell/Trap Card Zone it is treated as a Continuous Spell Card. When this card battles with an opponent's monster, increase this cards ATK by 400 points] from his deck onto the field in attack position.

Johan explains the special ability of Gem Beast Topaz Tiger that its attack points can go up by 400 when it's going to attack. Thus, its total attack points now go up to 2000 (1600+400). Johan declares its strike to destroy N-Aqua Dolphin. After N-Aqua Dolphin explodes, Judai's LP decreases to 2600 (4000+600-2000).

When Gem Beast Topaz Tiger returns to its position, Gem Beast Amethyst Cat says that there is another attack left. Johan activates the special ability of Gem Beast Amethyst Cat at this moment. Its attack points can decrease by half or go down to 600 (1200/2) to attack Judai directly. Johan then declares the attack of Gem Beast Amethyst Cat against Judai. Gem Beast Amethyst Cat quickly jumps on and knocks Judai down before using its claws to slash on Judai's face. Judai screams as all of his friends feel sympathy to him. Rei sees that it looks very painful. Asuka can notice that the situation doesn't look good. Judai's LP is halved by this attack, going down to 2000 (2600-600). Judai holds his clawed face with wince and pain. Johan thanks his Gem Beast monsters for their hard work, setting a card and ending his turn here.

The turn moves to Judai. He draws a card and gets N-Spacian Flare Scarab. The other three cards on the other hand are Neo Space, Fake Hero, and Contact. Judai decides to summon [N-Flare Scarab - 3/500/500: This card gains 400 ATK for each Spell and Trap Card on your opponent's side of the field] onto the field in attack position. Johan again looks obviously happy and excited by the the new Neos monster of Judai.

At this moment, Judai declares the contact fusion (fusion without Polymerization) between E-Hero Neos and N-Spacian Flare Scarab. Both months fly up into the sky and fuse into [E-Hero Flare Neos - 7/2500/2000: This card cannot be Special Summoned except by returning the above cards on your side of the field to your Deck; then you can Special Summon this card from your Fusion Deck (You do not use Polymerization). This card gains 400 ATK for each Spell and Trap Card on the field. This card returns to the Fusion Deck during the End Phase].

Johan sees E-Hero Flare Neos very cool. Judai notes that the real action of E-Hero Flare Neos is at this point, playing the field spell card [Neo Space - Field Spell: Increase the ATK of E-Hero Neos and Fusion Monsters that have E-Hero Neos as a Fusion-Material Monster by 500 points. The Fusion Monsters that has E-Hero Neos as a Fusion Material-Monster cannot be sent back to your Fusion Deck at the End Phase] from his hand. The battlefield turns into a rainbow prism of energy.

Due to the special ability of E-Hero Flare Neos, its attack points can increase by 400 points for each spell/trap card on the field. There are four cards (Gem Beast Emerald Turtle, Gem Beast Cobalt Eagle, a face-down card of Johan and Neo Space of Judai) on both sides. Furthermore, Neo Space can boost up the attack points of E-Hero Flare Neos by 500 points. As a whole, E-Hero Flare Neos' strength points go up to 4600 (2500+4*400+500), fasinating Johan very much. Kenzan sees that Johan has only 2900 LP. Sho realizes that if this attack works, Judai will win.

Judai declares the attack of E-Hero Flare Neos towards Gem Beast Amethyst Cat. At this moment, Johan opens his face-down trap card [Last Resort - Trap: You can activate this card when an opponent's monster attacks. Select 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck and activate it. At this time, when your opponent's Field Spell Card is activating, your opponent can draw 1 card]. This card allows him to active a spell card from his deck and also allows Judai to draw a card.

Johan decides to activate [Rainbow Ancient City - Rainbow Ruin ~ Niji No Kodaitoshi - This card gets effected by the number of cards in trap/magic zone with 'Gem Beast' in their name. 1 or more: This card does not get distroyed by effect of a card. 2 or more: Once in one turn, you can halve your lifepoint damage. 3 or more: By sending one Gem Beast from field to graveyard, negate a magic or trap card and destroy it. 4 or more: Once per turn, draw one card from your deck. 5 cards: Once per turn, summon a monster with name [Gem Beast] that is in trap&magic zone].

Neo Space shatters, and the battlefield transforms into a sunlit Roman ruin. Without Neo Space, the attack points of E-Hero Flare Neos go down to 3700 (4600-500-400). In addition to the effect of Rainbow Ancient City - Rainbow Ruin, when Johan has at least two Gem Beast monsters, Gem Beast Emerald Turtle and Gem Beast Cobalt Eagle, in his spell/trap card zones, he can decrease the damages he will receive by half.

The attack of E-Hero Flare Neos eventually destroys Gem Beast Amethyst Cat, and Johan's LP merely goes down to 1650 (2900-[3700-1200]/2). Again, when Gem Beast Amethyst Cat was destroyed, Amethyst gemstone is left on a spell/trap card zone. Johan did well as Judai has expected. Judai didn't think that it would be easy to beat him anyway.

The turn is still with Judai. He turns N-Groun Mole into defense position. Normally, E-Hero Flare Neos' own special ability doesn't allow it to remain on the field at the end phase of Judai. If Neo Space existed, E-Hero Flare Neos could remain on the field at the end phase. Johan understands it well, so he calls to return E-Hero Flare Neos to Judai's deck at Judai's ending phase. Judai ends his turn at this point.

Professor Chronos and Vice Principal Napoleon see this duel become more breath-taking and developing. Both of them switch playing intensively. Anyway, Principal Samejima just wonders where Professor Cobra, who set up this Exhibition Match, has been. He hasn't seen him at any seat for a while. Currently, Professor Cobra is still at the secret building in the forest. He is laughing while looking at the sun-like plasma ball floating inside a big glass cylinder. A huge spiked black shape now is formed around it like an organic machine.

The turn is now with Johan. He becomes more careful because the previous play was so close that he was almost unable to stand it. Drawing a card, he gets the spell card and plays it immediately [Rare Value - Spell: When there are 2 or more monsters that include Gem Beast in their card name in your Spell/Trap Card Zone, randomly select 1 and send it to the Graveyard and draw 2 cards from your Deck]. Similary, when he has at least two Gem Beast monsters in his spell/trap card zones (Gem Beast Emerald Turtle, Gem Beast Cobalt Eagle, and Gem Beast Amethyst Cat), he can select one of them and send it into the cemetery to draw two cards from his deck.

Thus, Gem Beast Emerald Turtle is selected and sent to the graveyard. Gem Beast Emerald Turtle tells Johan to take care of the rest from now on before it's gone into the cemetery. Johan responds that he will not make Gem Beast Emerald Turtle's will become waste while Emerald gemstone disappears. Johan draws two new cards and gets Monster Reincarnation and Gem Beast Amber Mammoth. He decides to summon [Gem Beast Amber Mammoth ~ Hougyokujyuu Amber Mammoth - 4/1700/1600: {When this card is destroyed, instead of sending it to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell/Trap Card Zones. When this card is in your Spell/Trap Card Zone it is treated as a Continuous Spell Card.} In addition, when a monster that includes Gem Beast in its card name on your side of the field is targeted for an attack, you can change the attack target of that attack to this card] onto the field in attack position.

Judai looks very amazed by a new Gem Beast monster. Gem Beast Amber Mammoth tells Johan that it will be his shield. Johan acknowledges before declaring the attack of Gem Beast Topaz Tiger to destroy N-Groun Mole. At this timing, Judai activates the special effect of N-Groun Mole. When it's destroyed in battle, N-Groun Mole and Gem Beast Topaz Tiger must return to the player's hands. Johan claims that he still has Gem Beast Amber Mammoth left, declaring its direct attack against Judai. Judai gets Gem Beast Amber Mammoth's stomp, so his LP dramatically decreases to 300 (2000-1700). People are very concerned about Judai now as Johan ends his turn.

Professor Chronos sees Judai having such a tough fight as Johan turns to prevail. Meanwhile, Principal Samejima has just noticed Professor Cobra sitting nearby. He doubts when Professor Cobra has come here. Professor Cobra looks at the duel and comments that both Judai and Johan are such wonderful duelists controlling their decks like their own hands and legs. By all means, they fight by all of their power and push each other to raise fighting spirit up. Principal Samejima smiles and agrees to what Professor Cobra said.

"That's it! Fight, better keep on fighting! Releasing out all of your held duel energy. If you do so, my desire will be soon fulfilled", Professor Cobra thinks as watching the game. Meanwhile, the spirit monster with big eye is again calling for its beloved Judai to come and see it quickly.

While Kenzan is getting worried about Judai having only 300 LP left, Edo interrupts by saying that Johan probably isn't the type of duelist whom Judai shouldn't oppose to. Manjyome and Kenzan turn back and look surprised by seeing Edo. Edo doesn't see anything wrong because he is still the student here. Manjyome wonders whether Edo should be in the pro league. Edo doesn't reply. He just wants to confirm the rumor that the guy holding Gem Beast has come to the school. Kenzan asks Edo what Edo previously meant about the type that couldn't oppose.

Edo explains that Johan Anderson is the guy who has strong bond between the player and his monsters.Suddenly, the spirit of Ojama Yellow appears near Manjyome. It looks happy and shakes its body to support the idea that it also has strong relationship with master Manjyome. Manjyome gets annoyed and tells it to go away before hitting it out.

Kenzan needs more explanation from Edo about the bond. Edo explains that what Johan can feel from duel is neither the same as bond of destiny that Edo has with his D-Hero nor the same as the bond of fate that Judai has with his E-Hero. Nevertheless, it's the strong reliance on the bond of family. Thus, the sense of security to be always protected by Gem Beasts, which don't disappear when destroyed, is attached to Johan. That means if Judai and Edo have relationship with their monsters as friends, Johan goes beyond by the strong relationship of family supporting hearts. Kenzan gets amazed by the concept Edo's telling him.

Besides perceiving Johan as the player who holds the strong bond with monsters, Edo knows nothing else about him. He merely knows that Johan Anderson is the chosen duelist by Gem Beasts. People become confused by that the monsters can select their master. Manjyome doesn't understand what meaning it actually has.

summary - second period
episode 107 summarized by Janime/Horoko

Edo tells the story that he has heard from President Pegasus. Once, he won the tournament sponsorted by Industrial Illusions, and met President Pegasus at the party. President Pegasus admired him and said that Edo was one of the best five he had met. The first one was the king of duelist, Mutou Yugi. The second person was Kaiba Seto, and the third person was Jyonouchi Katsuya. Then, the fourth one was Edo Phoenix. Edo asked about the last person, and President Pegasus mentioned [Johan Anderson].

President Pegasus once went to see a tournament in Europe and met Johan. When Johan was on duel, Gem Beast cards in his suitcase began to glow. Edo doubted whether Gem Beast was the same as the symbol of prosperity for Ancient Rome. President Pegasus told him that he already gave those cards to Johan. Edo hardly believed it since Gem Beast should be priceless cards. President Pegasus was afraid to say that he had no choice because those cards did choose Johan. Edo became more surprised by that the cards could choose the duelist. President Pegasus raised his champagne, expecting for the day when Edo would duel Gem Beasts might come.

Edo

I once heard a story from President Pegasus himself...I had won a tournament sponsored by Industrial Illusions...

Pegasus Phoenix-boy! You dueled wonderfully. I bet you're among one of the best five duelists I've met.
One of them, without mention, is the king of duelist [Mutou Yugi]. The second is his life-long rival, [Kaiba Seto]. The third is his life-long friend, [Jyonouchi Katsuya]. And the fourth is...you.
Edo Who's the other one?
Pegasus [Johan Andersen]
Edo Johan?
Pegasus It was when I attended a tournament in Europe several years ago. When Andersen-boy came out to duel, the Gem Beasts I carried to the tournament grounds suddenly started shining.
Edo The Gem Beasts! You mean the symbol of prosperity for Ancient Rome?
Pegasus I presented them to that boy.
Edo I can't believe it. Isn't that deck a priceless one?
Pegasus There was no helping it. The cards chose that boy!
Edo The cards chose the duelist?

On the duel stage, Judai is considering the situation about Johan and his Gem Beasts carefully. As far as he can see, each Gem Beast card of Johan doesn't have strong strength for confronting. Thinking of the strong attack power, Judai has come up with a thought. He asks, "Johan, probably, you hasn't sent out S monster yet, has you?". Johan looks surprised by how Judai could catch that. Even Manjyome is amazed by S monster that hasn't come out yet.

Johan thinks that Judai is as great as he has expected to get it right. He says, "Ah, it hasn't come out yet, my S card! 7 cards of Gem Beasts are combined into the ultimate form, Rainbow Dragon!", surprising all audiences around duel arena.

Judai certainly gets excited. He urges Johan to show it if Johan really has that kind of monster. Johan chuckles before refusing. He repeats many times that it's a reserved monster only for such suitable place. If that's the case, Judai intends to let Johan drag it out.

It's now Judai's turn. Drawing a card, he gets a spell card and plays it [Convert Contact - Spell: Activate only while you control no monsters. Send 1 Neo Spacian monster from your hand and 1 from your Deck to the Graveyard. Then draw 2 cards]. This card can be played when Judai has no monster on the field. It allows him to send a Neo Spacian on his hand, N-Groun Mole, and another Neo Spacian, N-Flare Scarab, in his deck into the cemetery to draw a card. Furthermore, he can draw a card equal to the number of monsters on Johan's field. There is only Gem Beast Amber Mammoth on Johan's field, so Judai can additionally draw one card. In total by the effect of Convert Contact, he can draw two cards.

Then, Judai plays another spell card [Cocoon Party - Spell: Special Summon 1 Cocoon monster from your deck for each type of Neo Spacian monster in your graveyard]. It allows Judai to summon Cocoon monsters specially from his deck by the number of Neo Spacian monsters in his cemetery. There are three Neo Spacians, N-Aqua Dolphin, N-Flare Scarab, and N-Groun Mole, in Judai's graveyard, so three little Cocoon monsters, Cocoon Pantail, Cocoon Pinii, and Cocoon Chicky, are specially summoned onto the field in attack position.

Johan doubts what those baby monsters can do. Thus, Judai declares to use a card to release their true power. He next plays the spell card [Contact - Spell: Send all monster cards that include Cacoon in its card name to the Graveyard to Special Summon the monster card that it mentions in its card text from your hand or Deck]. According to its effect, Judai can send three little Cocoon monsters into the cemetery to call out their grown-up forms of [N-Black Panther - 3/1000/500: Once per turn, you can select 1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field. While this card is face-up on your side of the field, until the end of this turn this card's name is treated as the selected monster's name, and it gets the selected monster's effect(s)] in attack position, and [N-Glow Moss - 3/300/900: When this card is in battle, verify the top card of your opponent's deck and according to that card, activate one of the following effects. Your opponent can draw 1 card from their deck, but when your opponent doesn't draw that card, place 2 cards from your own deck into the Graveyard. 1) If it is a Spell Card, you can attack your opponent directly. 2) If it is a Monster card, this card's battle is ended. 3) If it is a Trap card, this card is switched to Defense Position] and [N-Hummingbird - 3/800/600: Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can gain 500 Life Points for each card in your opponent's hand] in defense position.

Johan obviously becomes happy to three Neo Spacians summoned at a time. Judai then activates the special effect of N-Hummingbird to gain LP by 500 points for each card on Johan's hand. There are two cards on his hand, and they bloom into flowers. N-Hummingbird absorbs their power to increase Judai's LP to 1300 (300+500*2).

Next, Judai equips [Neos Energy - Equipment Spell: This card can only be equipped to a monster with Neo-Spacian in their name. Increase the Equipped monster's attack power by 800 points. During each of your Standby Phases, the Equipped monster's attack power decreases by 300 points] with N-Black Panther. Due to its effect, the attack points of N-Black Panther go up by 800 points or finally become 1800 (1000+800).

At this point, Judai declares the attack of N-Black Panther towards Gem Beast Amber Mammoth. When Gem Beast Amber Mammoth is destroyed, it becomes Amber gemstone in a spell/trap card zone of Johan. In addition to the effect of Rainbow Ancient City - Rainbow Ruin, Johan receives only a half of total damage points. Thus, his LP merely decreases to 1600 (1650+[1700-1800]/2). Johan has realized the true power of Neos deck. Judai ends his turn here and tells Johan to show him Rainbow Dragon.

Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasue
Monster Card

Johan thinks that it shouldn't have any trouble if it can be called out easily (He feels difficult to summon it). The turn moves to Johan. It's time for him to become serious as well. He draws a card and summons [Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus ~ Hougyokujyuu Sapphire Pegasus - 4/1800/1200: When this card is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or Special Summoned successfully, you can place 1 monster that includes Gem Beast in its card name from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard face-up in an open Spell/Trap Card Zone. When this card is destroyed, instead of sending it to the Graveyard, you can place it face-up in your Spell/Trap Card Zones. When this card is in your Spell/Trap Card Zone it is treated as a Continuous Spell Card] onto the field in attack position.

Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus tells Johan to let it work. Johan quickly activates the special effect of Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus, and the horn on Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus' head begins to shine. According to its effect, Johan can place a Gem Beast monster, Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle, in the cemetery into a spell/trap card zone. Ruby gemstone then appears on the field. Johan activates the special ability of Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle at this timing. When Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle is in a spell/trap card zone, Johan can special it and all other Gem Beast monsters in spell/trap card zones onto the field.

Ruby gemstone on Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle's tail begins to glow and break all gemstones in the spell/trap card zones. All Gem Beast monsters, Gem Beast Cobalt Eagle, Gem Beast Amethyst Cat, and Gem Beast Amber Mammoth, are released onto the field in attack position. Looking at the number of the special summoned monsters, Johan believes that he will win. Edo looks amazed by such a power of Gem Beasts (When destroyed in battle, they go to spell/trap card zones. Then, Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle can return them all onto the field).

Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus tells other Gem Beasts that it is going to open the way to the enemy, hoping them to follow up. Gem Beast Cobalt Eagle tells the leader to count on them. Then, Johan declares the first battle of Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus against N-Black Panther. Both of them have the same 1800 attack points (N-Black Panther's power is boosted up by Neos Energy), so they explode together. Anyway, Gem Beast Sapphire Pegasus becomes a sapphire gemstone in Johan's spell/trap card zone. Johan calls Gem Beast Amethyst Cat for the next strike.

Gem Beast Amethyst Cat says loudly to everybody that it's gonna go. By its special ability, it can make the direct attack to Judai with a half of its attack points, 600 (1200/2). Judai gets scared since his painful experience is returning. Gem Beast Amethyst Cat then jumps onto Judai and slashes onto his face. Judai's LP decreases to 700 (1300-600).

Johan next lets Gem Beast Cobalt Eagle (1400ATK) destroy N-Hummingbird (900DEF), following by the attack of Gem Beast Amber Mammoth (1700ATK) to destroy (900DEF). Lastly, he declares the strike of Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle (300ATK) towards Judai directly. Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle jumps into the sky and launches its Ruby beam to hit Judai. His LP further goes down to 400 (700-300), and his field is totally wiped out. Here is supposed to be the end of Johan's turn. People are all worried about him.

Although Judai is pushed into the corner this time, it doesn't mean that he has lost already. Absolutely, he intends not to give up until the end. It's now the final turn of Judai. When Judai is about to draw a card, he thinks that he is counting on his deck. He then draws a card and gets E-Hero Neos. The cards on the other hand are Fake Hero and Contact Soul. Judai begins to play by [Fake Hero - Spell: Special Summon 1 Monster in your hand. If that Monster attacks, return it to your hand at the End Phase of this turn]. This card allows him to special summon E-Hero Neos on his hand onto the field without any tribute.

Next, Judai plays the last spell card [Contact Soul - Spell: When a E-Hero Neos is on your side of the field, select 1 monster with Neo Spacian in its name from your Deck, hand, or Graveyard and Special Summon it. During the End Phase of this turn, return all monsters on your side of the field to your Deck]. When E-Hero Neos is on the field to satisfy this card, a Neo Spacian monster can be special summoned from Judai's deck. Thus, Judai decides to summon N-Hummingbird from the graveyard onto the field in attack position.

Certainly, Judai declares contact fusion between E-Hero Neos and N-Hummingbird into [E-Hero Air Neos - 7/2500/2000: This card cannot be Special Summoned except by returning the above cards on your side of the field to your Deck; then you can Special Summon this card from your Fusion Deck (You do not use Polymerization). If your Life Points are lower than that of your opponent's, increase this card's ATK equal to the difference in Life Points. This card returns to the Deck at the End Phase]. By the special ability of E-Hero Air Neos, when Judai's LP is lower than Johan's, its attack points can increase by LP differences.

Johan's LP is 1600 while Judai's LP is 400, so the attack points E-Hero Air Neos go up by 1200 (1600-400) and finally become 3700 (2500+1200). Judai believes that he will certainly by this strike, declaring the attack of E-Hero Air Neos. As E-Hero Air Neos is attacking, Johan interrupts and doubts whehther Judai can do so. Judai may have already forgetton that Johan hasn't called out his S card yet. Edo looks very surprised, wondering whether Johan is going to summon Rainbow Dragon at this timing.

"When 7 Gem Beasts are all together, the light connecting to the world can be brought back to this area. Look! The Miracle of Gem Beast!", Johan says. Then, seven gemstones - Amber (Orange), Amethyst (Violet), Cobalt (Turquoise), Emerald (Green), Ruby (Red), Topaz (Yellow), and Sapphire (Blue) - fly from 7 Gem Beasts into the sky and line up like rainbow.

"Revive! The Ultimate Gem Beast! Rainbow Dragon!", Johan calls as pointing his finger up.

There appears the shadow of a dragon, surprising Judai pretty much. However, Johan ends up by saying, "It's nothing". Judai even gets confused while his E-Hero Air Neos' beam slashes Gem Beast Amber Mammoth. After the big explosion, Johan's LP decreases to 0 (1600+1700-3700). Johan is blown away and knocked down. Then, the whole simulation disappears, and the battlefield turns back to normal duel stage. Nobody understands what's going on.

Judai asks Johan about Rainbow Dragon. Johan confesses that Rainbow Dragon hasn't been in his deck yet, laughing out loud. Judai even gets confused as the crowd begins to complain. If Johan hadn't had S card in his deck, he shouldn't have dueled. Johan smiles and tries to give an excuse that it can't be helped because he really doesn't have it in his deck. Judai doubts what Johan means by that.

Johan explains that according to Ancient Rome literature, there seems to be lithography holding the souls of 7 Gem Beast. However, it hasn't been discovered yet. President Pegasus gave him a promise that if he found it, he would use it make a card for Johan. Johan turns to the audiences and asks everybody tell him just in case someone can find it. Judai and people look a bit disappointed.

Then, Professor Cobra steps onto the stage and tells everbody to applaud for both duelists. He tells Johan and Judai to walk to him. When they are shaking their hands, gems on their wristbands (Later called Deathbelt) are glowing. Professor Cobra grins as if everything is following his plan well. He is impressed by that it's such a splendid opening game. People are getting shocked and don't understand what the opening game actually means. Professor Cobra recalled what he had said before the duel in the conference room about the actual fight in his policy. To that extent, he plans to have the students had such a very hard duel every day for this one year, declaring the opening of [Disclosure Duel] officially.

They students all become more confused. Especially Professor Chronos and Vice Principal Napoleon are looking very shocked by the battle they haven't heard before. Professor Cobra convinces the students to fight and keep on fighting. Sho looks worried. He doesn't feel good to this kind of duel at all. Kenzan also feels that this seems to become a trouble. Then, he notices that Johan and Judai have gone just from the duel stage.

It's about sunset time, and Judai and Johan are dueling on the roof of Duel Academia where they first met. They are arguing how to play in a turn. Sho, Kenzan, Manjyome, and Edo are looking at them playing peacefully as if nothing happened before. Edo notes that another stupid guy just appears, so he had better return to pro league. Judai and Johan still enjoy playing (Johan is guiding him how to play in this turn) along with their monster spirits, Winged Kuriboh and Gem Beast Ruby Carbuncle.

On the other side, Professor Cobra is looking at duel energy floating in the cylinder device. He admires Judai and Johan that they had such a wonderful duel. Yellow liquid floating inside the cylinder seems to be the duel energy coming from their duel and the wristbands on their hands seem to be duel energy collectors. Professor Cobra looks at the energy while laughing out loud.

to be continued...

Sho

"Disclosure Duels"? I wonder if they'll survey the heated hearts of duelists with machines...Say, Big Bro.

Judai Johan sure was strong...I can't wait to duel with the other champions!
Sho What's with all the "Johan", "Johan" stuff! C'mon, I'm desperate! Someone duel me! Next Time! [Professor Cobra's Assassin]
Judai A burning-hot duel with burning hearts! A duel with his "Volcanic Burn Deck"!
