A big guy (Hayato's father) with serious face is moving forward to Duel Academy. At the same time, Judai is taking a nap under a tree at noon. Then, Sho comes in and finds him there. Judai wonders how Sho knows that he is here. Sho tells him that everybody knows that here is Judai's favorite place. Anyway, Sho is getting serious, telling Judai that Hayato may be retired from the school.

At Osiris Red, the students are looking into a room where Hayato's father is talking to Daitokuji teacher. Sho tells Judai that Hayato's father is going to take his son back home. Hayato's father is talking to Daitokuji teacher about his son's behavior. His father claims that Hayato is getting worse since he has come to this school. Thus, he would like to take Hayato back to continue the family's business in order to make Hayato become a real man. He also asks Daitokoji teacher to agree with him and to consider retiring Hayato next time. Then, he invites Daitokuji teacher to drink alcohol but Daitokuji teacher feels uncomfortable to accept that. Judai and Sho decide to go and ask Hayato directly how he thinks about his father.

Hayato's father	Staying in Osiris Red, Hayato is getting bad. He even failed in the exam. If he stays here longer, he may be worse.
Daitokuji Teacher	Um...what should I do in that case..ha ha ha?
Hayato's father	Well, he should give up becoming a poor duelist now. He should leave here and continue the family's business so that he will become a real man. Don't you think so, teacher? If so, take this.
Daitokuji Teacher	Ah! I don't mind but I feel uncomfortable.
Hayato's father	As I said, please consider to retire Hayato in the next teacher's meeting.
Sho	What should we do, Big Brother?
Judai	We've already known well, haven't we? We have to understand Hayato's feeling.

Coming into the room, Judai and Sho see Hayato packing his belongings. Judai asks whether Hayato is really going to leave the school. Anyway, Hayato tries to force himself to say good bye to his friends. Judai asks him seriously again whether Hayato is seriously going to leave his dream to become a duelist, turning Hayato to see his face. Then Sho and Judai see Hayato crying. Hayato says that he has never thought about becoming a real duelist before. However, he is now different. He is thinking about making this dream come trure seriously. Anyway, he can't talk to his father directly because his father is actually scary. As a result, Judai takes Hayato out to talk to the principle and his dad directly.

Judai	Hayato! Are you really going to leave the school?
Hayato	Ah!
Judai	Yes?
Hayato	As I said. Although it was just a short time, I hope you are fine.
Judai	Are you sure that you are leaving the dream to become a duelist easily like this? Hayato!...Hayato
Sho	Are you crying?
Hayato	In fact, I have never thought that I would become a real duelist. I might feel good if I could. However, now is different. I have just started thinking about becoming a real duelist seriously. At that time, I heard some voice... (of Hane Kuriboh in episode 6)
Judai	Has you talked to your dad yet?
Hayato	How could I say that? My dad is very scary.
Judai	Come on!!

In the principle's room, Judai is asking Sameshima principle to give up leaving Hayato from the school. Hayato's father is wondering who these kids are. Thus, Judai and Sho introduce themselves roommates of Hayato. Even though the principle understands Judai's feeling, he may not be able to do anything with family problem. Anyway, Hayato's father offers a deal to Hayato. He challenges Hayato for a duel. If Hayato wins, his father will revoke his plan to take Hayato back. However, if Hayato loses, he has to return home with his father. Hayato has no choice but accepts this final chance.

Judai	As I said. Can you reconsider not to leave Hayato from this school?
Hayato's father	Hey, boy who are you?
Judai	I am Hayato's roommate, Yuki Judai.
Sho	I am Marufuji Sho.
Sameshima Principle	Yuki-kun, although I understand your feeling, this is the family problem of Maeda-San. The outsiders like us...
Hayato's father	That is ok. However, there is a condition.
Judai	Condition?
Hayato's father	Duel against me, Hayato!
Hayato	???
Hayato's father	If you can defeat me, this conversation will have never happened. However, if I win, you have to go home with me. Well, will you accept this?
Hayato	I will do it.
Hayato's father	Well, let's duel tomorrow morning 8.00. There is no problem, right principle?
Sameshima Principle	Um...that should be the best way to solve the problem and the duel way of Duel Academy.

While people are walking back to their dorm, Judai is wondering that Hayato accepted this duel seriously and easily. Anyway, Sho is still worried because the condition is that Hayato has to win this game to stay. Judai is certain that Hayato will win since his opponent is merely a newly old man. Suddenly, Daitokuji teacher interupts people and tells them the truth that Hayato's father has been a famous duelist all over the world by his Sasuma Jigenryuu technique. He explains that this technique is a swordman/warrior technique to kill the opponent by one sword. Hayato's father adapted this technique to beat the opponent shortly in a duel. Judai and Sho are wondering whether Hayato accepted the challenge despite knowing this fact. Hayato is getting serious again, having ready for the duel against his father. Judai is glad and looking forward to see this duel.

At night, Daitokuji teacher is having a dinner with Hayato's father. When Hayato's father leaves the room, he hears Judai and the others talking about Hayato's deck. Judai notices that Hayato's cards are all Koala deck. Anyway, he is still wondering how Hayato can win this game. Then Sho gives Hayato a Kangaroo card. He hopes that Hayato's deck will become an Australia deck if there are both Kangaroo and Koala. Thus, Judai is looking into his cards and giving Hayato something, too. Meanwhile, Hayato's father is listening to his son's conversation with his friends from the outside.

Judai	What? Hayato's cards are all Koala?
Hayato	It is Koala deck.
Judai	Koala deck? How can you win this game?
Sho	Well, I give this to you. It comes with my new pack, but I don't use it.
Hayato	Are you really giving it to me?
Sho	If you combine Koala with Kangaroo, it will become an Australia deck, right?
Judai	Well, wait a minute.

At the following morning, Hayato and his father [Maeda Kumazou] are facing against each other in a dojo (Japanese's word for a martial art gym) while Daitokuji teacher is a judge in this game. Before the game starts, Daitokuji confirms the condition of this game with two players again. If Hayato's dad loses this game, Hayato can stay in Duel Academy as usual. However, if Hayato loses, he has to return home to continue fish trading with his father. Then Daitokuji declares the openning of the game officially while Judai and Sho become merely audiences in this game.

Des Koala Monster Card

First turn comes to Hayato. Drawing a card, he gets [Des Koala 3/1100/1800]. Thus, he summons it in an attack mode. Judai is getting amazed by Hayato's play since Des Koala is a flip-effect monster. Hayato seems to forget this effect and did some mistake. His father also blames his son and explains that when faced up, Dea Koala can inflict 400 points of direct damage to the opponent's LP for each card on player's hand. In other words, this effect can be played only if Des Koala is first faced down. Hayato didn't consider this effect well and summoned it, so he can no longer use this special ability. Hayato agrees to everything that his dad said. He accepts that he really did such stupid thing, ending his turn quietly. Seeing how bad his son has played, Hayato's dad is sure to take Hayato home.

Next turn moves to Hayato's father. Daitokuji tells Sho and Judai look at his play carefully. Judai is very interested by the played that is adapted from Sasuma Jigenryuu (Single attack to end the battle). He hopes to see what kind of this single attack duel is gonna be.

Drunken Tiger Monster Card

In the turn of Hayato's father, he summons [Drunken Tiger - Yoidore Tiger 4/1800] in an attack mode. Judai and Sho are amazed by the picture of the monster that was different from his imagination. Sho claims that the monster doesn't look great enough to perform the final single attack as Judai hoped. Anyway, Judai believes that this monster may still hide something. After that, Hayato's father declares the attack of Drunken Tiger (1800), Drunken Punch, against Des Koala (1100). As a result, Des Koala is destroyed and Hayato's LP goes down to 3300 (4000+1100-1800). Judai is still getting amazed by Drunken Punch (it doesn't look like a great attack) while Sho is thinking that it should be Cat Punch instead. Then Hayato's father ends his turn.

Big Koala Monster Card

Come to Hayato's turn. Judai is cheering Hayato and telling him to clam down. Sho agrees and says that Hayato's father may not be great as he thinks. Then Hayato's father looks at Sho until Sho looks scared and moves to stay behind Judai. Drawing a card, Hayato gets another Des Koala. After that, he plays a magic card [March of Koala - Koala No Koushin]. By its effect, a Koala monster with level 4 or less can be specially summoned from the cemetery. Thus, Des Koala in his cemetery is regenerated in an attack mode. Sho is getting worried because Des Koala that works when flipped is summoned in the attack mode again. Nevertheless, Judai and Daitokuji aren't much concerned this time. Daitokuji explains that March of Koala has another effect; another monster with the same name can be summoned specially from the hand. In other words, Hayato can summon the same Des Koala specially from his hand. When two Des Koala are together on the field, Hayato sacrifices them to summon [Big Koala 7/2700/2000] in an attack position. After that, Hayato declares the attack of Big Koala, Eucalypt Bomb, against Drunken Koala immediately. When Drunken Tiger is destroyed, LP of Hayato's father decreases to 3100 (4000+1800-2700). Then Hayato ends his turn. Both Judai and Sho are glad to see Hayato's good play in this turn.

Turnning a Low Dinning Table Permanent Magic Card

Next move comes to Hayato's father. Drawing a card, he summons [Drunken Angel 4/1800] in an attack position. Hayato sees that it is a drunken monster again. Anyway, the monster replies him that it hasn't become drunk yet. Hayato is getting amazed by that he could hear the voice of monster again. Then Hayato's father plays a permanent magic card [One More Sake - Ojyoshi Ippon] and [Return a low dining table - Chabbudai Kaeshi]. Suddenly, a low dinning table (Japanese low dinning table style) appears under the battlefield. Hayato's father abruptly turns the table up into the sky with all monsters on the field. When Big Koala of Hayato falls down, it is destroyed. Hayato's father explains that Return a lowing dinning table destroys all cards on the player's field, and destroys the opponent's cards by the same number of the player's destroyed cards. It is the card to blow everything in a single attack. Sho has just realized what the real meaning of the single attack is. However, Judai doesn't think that this play is actually related to Sasuma Jigenryuu technique. It relatively breaks the rules (cheating) by resetting everything. Hayato is also unpleased with his dad's play. When the situation wasn't as expected, Hayato's father destroyed everything to restart everything (Like turning a chess board to finish the game). Then Hayato is getting amazed by that Drunken Angel still exists on the field since it should have been destroyed. Hayato's father mentions that this monster's special effect is that it can't be destroyed by Returning a Low Dinning Table. Furthermore, by the effect of One More Sake, it can deal 500 damages directly to the opponent when sent to the cemetery. Therefore, Hayato's LP decreases to 2800 (3300-500). After that, Hayato's father declares the attack of Drunken Angel, Battle Cannon, straight to Hayato. Thus, Hayato's LP more goes down to 1000 (2800-1800). At this point, Judai and Sho are very worried about Hayato while Hayato hasn't given up yet. Hayato's father can notice how serious his son is, ending his turn.

Master of OZ Monster Card

Because there is only 1000 LP left for Hayato, Daitokuji teacher is sure that Hayato must become more serious in the next turn. Drawing a card, Hayato gets [Des Kangaroo 4/1500/1700], the card given by Sho. He then plays a magic card [Silent Dead - Moku Suru Shisha] that allows him to summon a monster specially from his graveyard in a defense position. While the summoned monster remains on the field, it can't attack. As a result, Hayato resummons Big Koala with 2000 defense points onto the field. After that, he plays [Polymeriazation - Yuukou] to combine Big Koala on the field with Des Kangaroo on his hand into [Master of OZ 9/4200/2700]. Seeing this monster, Hayato's father reminds himself of what he heard from Hayato and his friends last night. In fact, Judai gave Master of OZ to Hayato. He believed that the monster with 4200 could make Hayato win the game. Hayato was still uncertain whether Judai really intened to give him such a great monster. Anyway, Judai didn't want Hayato to leave the school and would like him to win the game. They finally became good friends, so Judai might feel lonely if Hayato left. Seeing Hayato's good friendship, Hayato's father has just realized Hayato's feeling; of course, Hayato doesn't want to separate from his friends. Hayato once declares the attack of Master of OZ (4200) against Drunken Angel (1800). Therefore, LP of Hayato's father goes down to 700 (3100+1800-4200). Judai and Sho feel pity that Hayato couldn't finish his father in this turn. His father may be a great man who is difficult to be defeated.

Hayato's father admires his son that he could fight until this point. However, he is still certain that Hayato must be finally defeated. Hayato claims how his father can do that since he has Master of OZ with 4200 attack points left on his field. Hayato's father reminds Hayato of his permanent magic card, Returning a Low Dinning Table. He can destroys the opponent's monster by turning the table again regardless of the attack points of the opponent's monster. Anyway, Hayato tells his father that he has already known a weak point of Returning a Low Dinning Table. He asks what his dad is gonna do next after playing that effect. The weak point inside the effect is that his dad can't summon a monster after this effect is used. If his dad plays this effect, he has to finish his turn with blank field. Thus, the next turn becomes a great chance of Hayato. By this reason, Hayato is certain that he will finally win the game. Hayato's father admires his son that he could predict the game very well. However, he doesn't think that Hayato is great enough. Drawing a card, Hayato's father plays two One More Sake. Sho calculates that One More Sake can deal 500 damages directly to Hayato when destroyed. If there are two One More Sake, 1000 damages will deal directly to Hayato; therefore, Hayato may finally lose this game. Judai hasn't imagined that Hayato's father still has some strategy left. After that, Hayato's father plays the permanent effect of Turning a Low Dinning Table again. When the table is turned, two One More Sake of Hayato's father and Hayato's Master of OZ are totally destroyed. As Sho and Judai have expected, 1000 damages of two One More Sake deal directly to Hayato. As a result, Hayato's LP finally goes down to 0 (10000-1000), and he is finally defeated. Sho and Judai feel sorry to Hayato while Hayato has already realized the consequnce of this game.

Hayato is packing his belongings again in his room. Sho and Judai come in to say good bye to him. Although Hayato doesn't want to leave, he has no choice. Judai hopes Hayato will take care himself well after leaving. Then Sho and Judai walk to send Hayato at the bridge. Nevertheless, when everbody reaches the bridge, Daitokuji teacher tells him that Hayato's father has already returned alone. He also gives a letter from his father to Hayato. Hayato's father forgave Hayato for his friends, so he hopes Hayato will take care of his friends well. Hayato really appreciates his father, running to a cliff to see his dad. He declares that he must become greater so that he can beat his father in a day.

Sho	Are you really leaving?
Hayato	As promised, I can't help.
Sho	I know that but...
Judai	When you are there, please take care yourself.
Hayato	So do you. Well, I have to go now. My dad has been waiting for me at the bridge.
Judai	So, I will send you to the bridge.
Judai and Sho are walking to send Hayato.
Hayato	Where is my dad?
Daitokuji Teacher	Your father has already gone back alone. He lets me give this to you.
Hayato's father	(This time, I've forgiven for your friends. Give importance to your friends.)
Hayato	Dad! Dad! I will become stronger until I can defeat you.
