Asuka |
Ryo |
Ryo |
The
dawn seems so far away, doesn't it? |
Asuka |
Ah, there is no bright night. Well,
let's believe it. |
Asuka
walks to see Ryo at the lighthouse. Both of them look far
away while the sun hasn't rised yet. Early in the morning,
some officers move to Osiris Red Dorm. Daitokuchi teacher
is waken up by the loud noise. Seeing the Academy Ethical
Commissions coming to the dorm, he doesn't understand why
they are here. While Hayato, Judai and Sho are sleeping,
they are waken up the the commissions knocking the door.
A female officer says that if they won't open the door,
she will blow the door out. Judai gets up and still feels
asleep. When he hears that the door would be blown out,
he hurries to open it at once. The officer gives a message
to Judai that he and Sho have to report themselves to the
school board immediately.
At
the board meeting of Duel Academy, Judai and Sho are getting
shocked when they know that they are going to be expelled
from the school. A committee explains that someone reported
that Yuki Judai broke the school law by entering into the
special dorm at night. Judai understands that he really
did it and accepts for the claim. Then, he is asking for
a chance. Therefore, Professor decides to give him a penalty
by [Punishment Tag Duel - Seisai Tag
Duel]. That means Judai and Sho have to become partners
in the tag duel against some opponents set up by the committees.
If they are defeated, they will be dismissed from the school.
The principle has no other method to help them, so Judai
and Sho have to accept this last chance. However, Judai
still feels excited by this tag duel as usual while Sho
is getting worried without any confidence.
In the principle's office, Hayato reported himself to the
principle that he also entered into the forbidden dorm with
his friends. Thus, he would like to join the tag duel with
Judai. Then Asuka comes into the room and asks for the tag
duel, too, because she was also there with her friends.
Hayato explains that he usually thought about himself. However,
when he saw Judai's duel, he would like to face with any
problem. Although the principle understands everybody's
feeling well how they are concerned about their friends,
he can't help anything because the tag duel has already
been decided by the committees. Thus, Hayato and Asuka feel
sorry that they can't join it.
Hayato
goes back to Osiris dorm. Once he enters the room, Sho jumps
over and cried with him. Sho claims that he will be absolutely
defeated and expelled from the school. Thus, he asks Hayato
to take his position in the tag duel. Although Hayato would
love to, he can't change anything. Judai tells people confidently
not to be worried. His team will finally win. Seeing Judai
take it easy, Sho asks whether Judai has tried the tag duel
before. Of course, Judai has never played it, so he feels
that it should be very excited. Also, Judai tells Sho that
if Sho were really his little brother, Sho should try his
best in the duel. Because Judai has known nothing about
Sho's deck, he proposes a training duel. Thus, Sho and Judai
are going to start the duel behind Osiris dorm near the
sea while Hayato is looking from the hill. Certainly, Judai
looks active as usual while Sho looks very worried. Hayato
is also worried because he can't do anything for them. Then
Asuka appears there and tells Hayato not to be worried.
Even though this is the punishment tag duel, Judai looks
happy with the duel normally. When people like Judai are
concerned about the others, they become stronger. Therefore,
she believes that Sho will become stronger, too.
Judai tells Sho not to be worried about anything and try
to enjoy the duel. Sho still doesn't understand why Judai
has been still active in this punishment; if they are defeated,
they will be expelled. While Sho is complaining, Judai asks
what happened to him. Thus, Sho has to tell him that there
is nothing. Then the duel between Sho and Judai begins despite
the fact that only Judai feels active in this duel. First
turn comes to Judai. Drawing a card, Judai gets E-Hero Featherman.
He is checking other cards in his hand: E-Hero Sparkman,
E-Hero Burst Lady, Negate Attack, A Hero Emerges,
and Spirit of the Knight. Then he summons [E-Hero
Featherman 3/1000/1000] in an attack mode. Setting
up a reversed card, Judai ends his turn.
Come to Sho's move. He draws a card and gets Patroid. Other
cards in his hand are Gyroid, Steamroid, Limiter Removal,
Weapon Change, and Shield Crush. Seeing his Patroid, he
thinks that he can use it beat Judai's E-Hero Featherman.
Meanwhile, Sho is dreaming that he is going to beat Judai
and Judai is going to admire him and let him become Big
Brother instead. Seeing Sho stop playing, Judai calls him
out off the day dreaming. Thus, Sho summons [Patroid
4/1200/1200] in an attack mode. He declares the attack
of Patroid, Signal Attack, against E-Hero Featherman at
once. At this moment, Judai opens his trap card [Attack
Nullification - Kougeki No Muryoku Ka]. This card
can be activated only if the opponent attacks. It negates
the attack of Patroid and also forces Sho to end his battle
phase immediately. Hayato and Asuka looking the duel are
worried about Sho. As Asuka thought, it may be difficult
for Sho to become Judai's partner.
Sho feels sorry that he already lost his good chance. Judai
is also wondering why Sho didn't see and use the effect
of Patroid. By its effect, Sho can look at all of Judai's
cards set up on the field. If Sho had activated this ability
before, he would have realized that Judai set up Negate Attack. While Judai is trying to teach Sho, Sho is
getting annoyed and telling him to stop lecturing. Judai
is surprised by Sho's response, seeing that Sho looks different.
Thus, Sho says sorry to his Big Brother and accepts that
he looks weird.
Then
Judai restarts his turn seriously again. He draws a card
and gets E-Hero Clayman. After that, he summons [E-Hero
Sparkman 4/1600/1400] in an attack mode. Judai first
lets E-Hero Sparkman attack Patroid. When Patroid is destroyed,
Sho's LP goes down to 3600 (4000+1200-1600). Then, E-Hero
Featherman attacks Sho directly, so Sho's LP goes down again
to 2600 (3600-1000). Setting a reversed card, Judai ends
his turn. Sho sees Judai look very cruel and serious. Meanwhile,
Asuka would like to cheer Sho up. Hayato can't standing
seeing, so he calls Sho and tells him to get up and try
his best. Seeing how hard Hayato is trying to cheer him,
Sho gains his fighting spirit back. Then, he stands up and
faces against Judai bravely.

Sho has finally become serious in this duel. Asuka sees
that Hayato's encouragement can seemingly keep Sho up. Because
Hayato seems to understand Sho's feeling well, Asuka doesn't
think that he is not a person who always thinks of himself.
Of course, Hayato is glad to hear that. Then everybody turns
back to see the duel.

Steam Gyroid
Monster Card |
Move comes to Sho. Drawing a card, he gets
Jar of Greed. Looking his cards, Sho realizes that he hasn't
had monsters to beat Judai yet. Thus, plays the magic card
[Jar of Greed - Kou Yuku Na Tsubo]
to draw additional two cards. Then Sho looks very shocked
when he could draw a magic card [Power
Bond]; another card is [Polymerization
- Yuukou]. Meanwhile, Judai can notice Sho looking
weird, so he guesses that Sho might get some great card.
Power Bond works like a [Fusion]
Magic card with machine-type monsters. By its effect, it
can fuse monsters and double its attack points. If Sho uses
Power Bond fuse [Gyroid] with
[Steamroid] to [Steam
Gyroid 6/2200], Steam Gyroid will become a monster
with 4400 (2200*2) attack points. However, Sho can't use
it since it has been sealed for a long time by his brother.
One
day when Sho was in an elementary school, Sho was dueling
against his friend [Gorisuke].
Sho had 1600 LP left while Gorisuke had 1900 LP left. Also,
Sho had Gyroid and Patroid on the field while Gorisuke had
Iron Warrior Gearfried on his field. Turn came to Sho. Drawing
a card, Sho was glad to see that he got Power Bond that
his brother gave him. If he played it, his opponent would
be wiped out. At that moment, . If he played Power Bond
to fuse them, the fused monster, Steam Gyroid, would obtain
4400 attack points. Furthermore, if he attacked Iron Warrior
Gearfried with 1800 attack points, 2600 damages (4400-1800)
would deal to Gorisuke (1900); Gorisuke's LP would go to
0 (1900-2600). Then Sho would get such a great victory.
In fact, Sho hoped to see Gorisuke crying after this attack.
Seeing Sho stop, Gorisuke asked whether Sho got a good card.
However, Sho laughed and said that he was usually treated
as a fool. At this moment, this would be totally different.
Sho started looking down Gorisuke rudely. He called him
a coward gollira and claimed that Gorisuke would be shrunk
and prostrated. Of course, Gorisuke got very mad by Sho's
words. He would not forgive Sho if he could win this game.
Sho didn't think he would be defeated at all. Also, he gave
a promise that if he was defeated, he would perform a nude
handstand and move around the school. Gorisuke reminded
Sho of the promise of a man again. Certainly, Sho accepted
that and claimed that he would show a crying face of a gollira.
After
that, Sho was going to start showing his brother's killer
card, Power Bond. Suddenly, Sho was stopped by a voice,
falling down on the ground. Getting mad by someone interfering
the duel, Sho was surprised when he was his brother, Marufuji
Ryo. Ryo gave a card to Gorisuke for a compensation, apoligized
him, and asked him leave this game. Thus, Gorisuke accepted
Ryo's offer and left peacefully. Sho complained and asked
his brother why he stopped the game. Sho was very confident
that he would win this game soon. Ryo told Sho directly
that Sho had not been worth to use Power Bond yet. Therefore,
Sho had to seal that card until he became a suitable duelist.
Of course, Sho didn't understand and asked for reasons.
Ryo asked whether Sho hadn't realized yet, showing the card
set up on Gorisuke's field in the last turn. It was a trap
card [Spellbinding Circle - roku housei
No jyuhaku]. Ryo explained that as long as this card
was faced up on the field, the opponent's monster could
not attack or change its position. In other words, if Sho's
Steam Gyroid had attacked, its attack would have been invalid
by this trap card. Also, although Power Bond could double
attack points of a fusion monster, the player had to deal
damage equal to the original attack points of that monster
toward his own LP at the end phase. To explain, Sho would
have had to deal 2200 original attack points of Steam Gyroid
toward himself at the end phase after the attack of Steam
Gyroid had been nullified by Spellbinding Circle. In brief,
if the game had been run, Sho would have been defeated in
this turn. Hearing all of the truth, Sho fell down on his
knees and started crying. (In fact, Ryo did save Sho from
this duel so that his little brother could be released from
the stupid promise).
Ryo |
Wait! |
Sho |
Who
dare to interfere? Ha!! Brother? |
Ryo |
I
am sorry for you. I give you this card and please
leave this duel. |
| Gorisuke |
Hi
Hi Hi, we had better finish it. |
Sho |
Why
did you stop us? This turn was supposed to be my victory. |
Ryo |
You
haven't been worth to use that card yet. You must
seal that card until you become a suitable duelist.
|
Sho |
Why?
Why? |
Ryo |
Haven't
you understood yet, why? Well, look at this card set
up on the field. |
Sho |
[Spellbinding
Circle - roku housei No jyuhaku] |
Ryo |
As long as this card is faced up on the field,
the opponent's monster could not attack or change
its position. Power Bond can double the attack points
of a fusion monster. However, the player also has
to deal damage equal to the original attack points
of that monster toward his own LP at the end phase.
You would have been defeated, if the original attack
points of Steam Gyroid had dealed directly to you. |
Due to the previously painful memory, Sho has had to seal
Power Bond and not to use it. Then he starts crying. Seeing
Sho looking weird again, Judai doesn't understand what is
going on with him. Thus, he calls Sho and asks what has
happenned. When Sho gets up, he tries not to use Power Bond.
He keeps it in his hand and uses a normal fusion magic card
[Polymerizaton - Yuukou] to
fuse [Gyroid] with [Steamroid]
on his hand into [Steam Gyroid 6/2200].
Sho declares its attack, Hurricane Smoke, against E-Hero
Featherman at once. As a result, Judai's LP goes down to
2800 (4000+1000-2200). After that, Sho ends his turn.
Judai doesn't feels worried at all; however, he really
enjoys and hopes that both sides are playing seriously.
Drawing a card, Judai gets [Polymerizaton
- Yuukou]. This time, he uses it fuse [E-Hero
Sparkman] on the field with [E-Hero
Clayman] on his hand into [E-Hero
Thunder Giant 6/2400] (This first summon is a fusion
summon). Asuka sees that this should be the end of Sho although
Sho has already tried his best. By the special effect of
E-Hero Thunder Giant, it can destroy a monster with attack
strength base lower than attack strength on Sho's side.
In other words, E-Hero Thunder Giant (2400) can destroy
Steam Gyroid (2200) by its special effect before the normal
attack. As a result, Sho's favorite card, Steam Gyroid,
is destroyed. After that, Judai summons normally [E-Hero
Burst Lady 3/1200/800] in an attack mode (This second
summon is a normal summon). Judai first declares the attack
of E-Hero Thunder Giant (2400) against Sho; therefore, Sho's
LP goes down to 200 (2600-2400). Continuously, Judai declares
the second attack of E-Hero Burst Lady against Sho, so Sho's
LP finally decreases to 0 (200-1200).
Judai
finally wins, saying that this was the nice game as usual.
Sho thinks that he is still to bad to win the tag duel.
Judai asks what was wrong with Sho because Sho looked different
once he drew a card. Thus, he looks at Sho's cards and sees
Power Bond. Judai is surprised by that Sho didn't use it.
If Sho had activated it, Steam Gyroid would have obtained
4400 attack points. Sho takes it back at once and says that
this card has been sealed by his brother. Also, he understands
that he can't become Judai's partner in the tag duel. Then
Sho runs away. Seeing Sho going away, Hayato tries to follow
him.
Judai |
I
won, Sho! What a nice duel! |
Sho |
As
I thought, I still can't do that. It is impossible
for me to win in the tag duel. |
Judai |
What
are you talking about? Although you were finally defeated,
it was just a practice duel. |
Sho |
But... |
Judai |
Anyway,
when you drew the card, you looked different. Let
me see your cards.
Ah!! why didn't you play [Power
Bond] ? If you had activated it, your monster
attack points would have doubled. [Steam
Gyroid] would have become such a powerful monster
with 4400 (2200*2) attack points, haven't it? |
Sho |
No!
It is my brother's sealed card. Also, it is really
impossible for me to play with you in the tag duel. |

Judai, Hayato |
Sho! |
Asuka
goes to see Judai standing alone and looking through the
sea. She asks what is wrong with Judai. Usually, Judai enjoys
the duel but he has a sad face today. Although Judai enjoyed
the duel, he saw Sho look very painful. In fact, Sho was
holding the killer card Power Bond; nevertheless, he couldn't
use it because of his brother. Hearing those words, Asuka
tells Judai that Sho, in fact, has a brother studying in
the school. He is the top of Obelisk Blue third-grade students.
People calls him an emperor of Duel Academy [Kaiser].
Anyway, Judai hasn't understood yet what is going on between
Kaiser and Sho. Thus, he thinks that he may figure out the
answer when he duels against Kaiser. Asuka is surprised
by Judai's act, asking whether he has got what she said
before. Of course, Judai has realized the strength of Kaiser,
so he feels excited by this game. Asuka thinks that Judai
is such a very interesting guy. Next, Judai intends to duel
against Kaiser, no matter what...
Asuka |
What's
wrong with you today? You usually enjoy the duel,
don't you? What is that sad face? |
Judai |
Well,
I really enjoyed the duel. But his duel seemed painful.
He was holding Power Bond, but he said that he couldn't
use it because it was his brother's sealed card. |
Asuka |
Ah... |
Judai |
What..? |
Asuka |
Sho-Kun
really has his true brother and he is also in this
school. |
Judai |
Is
that so? |
Asuka |
Don't
you know? He is the top of Obelisk Blue at the third
grade. Marufuji Ryo! Most students call him an emperor
of the Duel Academy [Kaiser].
|
Judai |
Kaiser!
So, what's going on between Sho and his brother? |
Asuka |
Judai...
|
Judai |
Yocha!!
I may understand if I try to duel against his brother. |
Asuka |
Heee!
Judai, hasn't you listened to me? Marufuji Ryo was...the
third grade.. |
Judai |
He
got the Kaiser title of the Obelisk Blue top rank
of the third grade, right!? This seems to be interesting,
doen't it! |
Asuka |
Judai...a
guy like you seems too interesting! |
Judai |
Kaiser, wait for me! You must duel
against me! |
to be continued... |
