[Judai's Neos Monsters]

In Weekly Jump 02/2006, there are some articles about Judai's Neos monsters that most people may have already seen them: [ 1 ], [ 2 ]. Also in the latest V-Jump, there is anime digest about Judai's Neos monsters. Most of monsters are what we have already seen: Dandelion/Neos Spacian Aqua Dolphin, E-Hero Neos. However, it notes that these aren't the whole power of his Neos deck. The current E-Hero Monsters of Judai, Clayman, Featherman, Burst Lady, and Sparkman can't pull out the whole power of Neos Spacian. This may be the point why Judai can't master Neos deck when he is going to fight Edo again in the next few week (I guess ^^). That means he's required to use Neos monsters! Neos Spacian Aqua Dolphin with Water type is just the first monster of Neos Spacian group. We are going to see other Neos Spacian monsters of Judai soon~

[E-Hero Neos]

This isn't something new, but I present it in case someone wants to see clearer image of Judai's new monster, E-Hero Neos that is gonna show on TV soon. As we know, Judai is leaving Duel Academy and starting his new journey according to Saiou's fortune telling. He will come back later with new Neos deck. This E-Hero Neos will become a real OCG card coming with the next V-Jump. I may release it for sale later, so please come in and check by yourself. People are discussing about it in my forum, so I am not gonna say anything that much. Please visit my forum for further discussion.

[New Official GX Manga by Kazaki Takahashi]

Many people ask me a lot about GX manga. Here is the official ad published in the latest V-Jump. The GX is going from anime to comic soon. It will be published in V-Jump, which is currently publishing Yu Gi Oh R, from the next issue, issue#2 first released 12/17/2005. Following the ad, it seems that the characters and stories are different from anime's. Also, E-Hero monsters are also new only for manga. People have been talking about this topic in the forum, please go and enjoy discussing there ne~ Of course, if it's in V-Jump, I will post up the scans for us as usual ^^.

Original Work: Takahashi Kazuki
Manga: Kageyama Naoyuki

In the latest V-Jump vol.11, besides Yu Gi Oh R, there are many interesting information about GX. First, it promotes Judai's and Manjyome's Duelist Packs coming October 20, 2005. They include even [E-Hero Steam Healer], which Judai plays only in [episode 42] against Dark Magician Girl, and [Armed Dragon LV10]. Actually, I have never seen Manjyome playing Armed Dragon LV 11 in GX series but only LV 3, 5, and 7. Thus, I am not sure whether he is going to play it in the futher. See for further information in my [V-Jump card scans page].

[The Second Season/Year of GX]

Moreover, V-Jump promotes the new characters in GX. The article says that the new GX series is coming after October 10 when Judai becomes the second-year student. Humm...he is still in Osiris Red despite this level. In this series, Judai is a senior and has to face new freshmen. At least, we can be happy that GX is still running ^^. Let's see the new interesting castings;

[Ed Phoenix]

He is the first new character, the first-year Obelisk Blue student, going to duel against Judai in [episode 53] and Kaiser in [episode 57]. (I will not tell about the story, please go to read the episode summaries instead)

[Saiou Takuma]

The article doesn't say much thing about him, just stating that he is an unknown duelist with unknown power. I haven't seen his name appear in any episode yet. Perhaps, we may know about his real appearance later. At least, we know only that he must be an Obelisk Blue student.

[Tyranno Kenzan]

The first-year Ra Yellow student, going to duel against Judai in [episode 55], playing a dinosaur deck. It is very interesting whether he is gonna have better strategies than Dinosaur Ryousaki ^^.

Then, the artile talks about the last duel of Hayato that we have already known in [episode 50]. See for further details in my journal scans [1], [2].

A week before Yu Gi Oh Duel Monster GX was first released on October 6, 2004, Weekly Jump magazine had presented two-page color ad to promote the new series. It introduced the Duel Academy and main characters from the three dorms; Obelisk Blue, Ra Yellow, and Osiris Red. It also showed that the characters like Yuki Judai and the Duel Academy were originally designed by [Kazuki Takahashi]. At least, we can be certain that this new series comes from the imagination of the creator.

Kazuki Takahashi's comment

"Although his record isn't good, this true duelist shows some surprising hope of beating his teacher. This guy is holding a power to hear voice of spirits."

"I name him [Judai - Teenage] because I would like to send this message to all teenage fans."

Kazuki Takahashi's Duel Academy Line Art

Here is the creator's drawing before it becomes a real anime. We can be sure that this Duel Acadecy is a beautiful and creative design of Kazuki Takahashi-Sensei.

In V-Jump vol.11, there is anime column about new characters in Yu Gi Oh DM GX. Each character is expressed with their dorm background: Obelisk Blue is the place for the elite, Ra Yellow is the dorm for the future elite, and Osiris Red is the place for drop-out students who obtain no hope of the future.

In Animage magazine vol.10, there contains some shot ad about Yu Gi Oh DM GX with castings and staff teams. It is the short summary of anime epsiode 1 that is going to be first released on October 10, 2004. It seems that Japanese dub castings of this series are all new and different from the original series.

In August, V-Jump, the monthy magazine released new character line arts of two main characters - Yuki Judai and Tenjyoin Asuka. Also, it included information about their major monster design - Sparkman and Burst Lady - played in the new series. The story was apparently expressed that it would relate to lives of students in the duel academy. Although the old legend of Mutou Yugi finished, the new legend and adventure just started.

Again in July, a Japanese monthly magazine promoted a new series of Yu Gi Oh Duel Monster GX in a short article. During this time, there wasn't much information about this anime because the original series was still running and coming to the climax of the end of Pharaoh's memory series. Anyway, both Japanese V-Jump and Weekly Jump started promoting the new series in their magazines.

A few weeks later, people found out that the image that the creator left at the end of the final volume of Japanese Graphic Novel was no longer the imagination. However, it was going to be a REAL anime on TV in Fall 2004. There was an advertisement published in a Japanese Weekly Jump magazine about this series. Name of new character, Yuki Judai, and the plot of the story about the duel academy were expressed. People were getting excited again when they knew that this series was scheduled to be released in Japan on October 10, 2004. That meant the final episodes of the original series running on TV was already set (224 epiosdes in total).

06/04/2004, Yu Gi Oh Japanese Graphic Novel, Jump Comic, volume 38 by Janime

When the final issue of Yu Gi Oh the original comic series was released in June 2004, people were amazed by an image posted on the last page of the book. They saw new characters rathan than original characters who looked like Kaiba, Jyonouchi and even Mai. Also, there was a text written on the image "Yu Gi Oh Next Generation". During this period, people were wondering whether the author, Kazuki Takahashi, was going to create a new series or not. There was much discussion and various opinions about it. However, nobody could get the final answer what it meant. As a result, we thought that it might be merely an imagination of the creator.
