Yu Gi Oh Duel Monster GX was first broadcasted
in Japan on October 6, 2004 once after the original series
ended a week before. The story runs through the whole
first year of Judai at school. Episode 1-26 seems to be
the introduction of Duel Academia: characters, relationship
amoung people, their unique deck types, and others. There
isn't much main plot but just shows how Judai lives at
school. After that, the story moves to the main plot of
the entire series [The 7 Stars].
This covers episode 27-49. The anime begins with epsiode
27-28 that Judai firsts gets the shadow item after entering
into another dimension and dueling against the gravekeepers.
Then, episode 29 until 49 presents the real battles between
Judai and his friends against the 7 assassins called the
7 stars. The main idea of the whole story is to stop the
summon of the three legendary demons sealed beneath the
school. These long battles end in episode 49 when Judai
can beat the three legendary demons. Lastly, episode 50-52
seems to be the ending themes of the first-year season
by the leaving of some characters for their futures. The
total 52 episodes was totally running without stopping
during 2004-2005 and finished in September 28, 2005.
